It’s obvious that they spent about half an hour on the medium and heavy sets, and only so they could keep up their trend of releasing gem store armors for all classes at the same time. It’s even more obvious that the light armor is a cash grab meant to sell by the truckload to non-human players who have admired our t3 armor since the beginning of the game (and for good reason), or poor humans who can’t afford the real thing (which is sadly now less impressive than the imposter).

The light is Human racial? In that case give my Sylvari Norn or Asura medium racial armor.

When I found The Lover literally over a year ago. Never found a rare drop like that since.

Making it the way you’re supposed to is probably way more effort than buying it. They can ask for whatever price they want.

You can kick the leader after he DCs, it won’t kick anyone else. But doing that is pointless because the party wont let you invite anyone else into the group and it’ll remain bugged till reformed.

They really need to add a auto-pass leader option. It’s an absolutely horrible and frustrating mechanic. The last 2 times I did a dungeon was on my alt and both occasions the leader left, thinking we were done, after we killed the last boss while someone else was still watching cutscene~ kicked everyone with no completion reward given.

They really are revolving too much of Thief around stealth, they don’t seem to want us to do anything else to protect ourselves. Not enough diversity when everything revolves around one ability. It’ll be hard to spec into any good steal and evasion builds.

I’d love it if they merged ranks across characters and made it account bound.

I get bored and want to play a different class in WvWvW but it’s hard to do it for very long because I feel like I’m wasting progress that could be used to max my main’s skills.

I wouldn’t mind the points going to wallet thing at the least, but would prefer my wvw ranks were account bound so all alts could use the skills.

Account bound legendarys would be nice too, I see no reason why not.

I still remember what happened when they swapped around the GS skills and cooldowns on Guardian. I don’t think Anet wants to do anything drastic.

They kinda did with Warrior 1handed sword. Now it’s insanely powerful. :s

Main reason I dislike the whole e-sport thing is it keeps us from having more variety in spvp matches. We have capture the point, how about capture the flag, or keep, deathmatches or something more? Steal all Team Fortress 2’s game mode types if you must. :s

Fractal Weapons RNG were probably based on “One man’s junk is another man’s gold,” I only have 2 fractal longbows which I don’t need and rarely use, but I read somewhere that a person was farming level 48 fractals for 7 months to get the fractal longbow…

I did 250 Fractals and then got burnt out n gave up. Was trying to get the dagger~ got Longbow, Scepter and Mace.

Spoiler: there was always a rare chance to get them in the 10-20ish. The only change we made was to make them skins so you can apply them without spending a transmutation stone.

Account bound fractals is something I’ve always wanted~ since I’m getting bored of playing the same class forever and want to play my other characters, but it feels like I have to grind more if I want to and not really gain any benefit from it. So my alts just rot there forever.

Now I need WvWvW ranks merged and account bound.

Here are some “behind the scenes” facts about this cinematic:

The cinematic was built as a prototype for the new video playback technology.

It was made over a year ago, and we planned to launch it with the original Fractal release. Unfortunately, the tech didn’t get implemented in time and we missed the release window. It was decided that we sit on the cinematikittenil there was a big update to the Fractals.

The 3D character models are (pre)rendered in-engine with our model viewer and matched up with cameras in Maya and After Effects.

While I have special place in my heart for the original GW2 in-engine cinematics (such as the Dugneon Catacombs flashback…a cinematic that I reworked 4 times over the course of development) These new types of pre-rendered videos allow us to work faster, increase the quality, and they perform better on more peoples machines.

There are some pretty exciting cinematics coming in the future…I hope you guys will receive them as well as the Fractals piece.

Literally just yesterday I played four different builds on my mesmer trying to figure out which one I liked best. They were all very, very distinct in terms of skills and playstyle.

Maybe necro is different — haven’t played one yet — but I doubt it.

People get too hung up on concepts like ‘endgame’.

Try doing that with a Thief.

Sieran Statue in the Grove then too. Although her death is a complete lie. She used perma mistform to escape and stow away on a risen ship and is lost at sea on an island somewhere to become Owain 2.0. Gone, but still alive.

I always use HoM weapon skins till lvl 80. :o Or Zenith ones.

Or you can grab some sexy christmas skins.

I really don’t get why a lot of people complain about the Dredge fractal (and I’ve even been in groups where people would leave and re-enter if they got it first).

The Dredge fractal is easy and not even that long, what is everyone’s problem with Dredge fractal?

It’s my favorite.

I like my handful of MF rings in my bank that I can change to whatever I want to.

It’d be nice to be able to salvage them or mystic toilet them. Or even sell them for relics..

I lost interest long ago though till they at least add new ones. Leaderboards = highest level of fractals by end of “season?” The whole thing seems odd, but I never found much purpose in doing a fractal higher than 30 anyways.

I wouldn’t mind it if fractal lvls were account bound. They’re not however.

I wish they were too. Probably one reason it gets boring is I’m doing the same Fractals over and over on the same character. Nothing to break the repetitiveness like switching to a different character.

It’s unfortunate, but at least they’re actually streaming themselves playing.

Yeah I started playing my Guardian a lot using Scepter/Torch and Staff. Considering my Thief is my main and the master of Combos it was sad having 0. XD

Although Sword on Thief also has 0 combos unless you want to count offhand

He was the leader because of his knowledge of Orr and the fact that he was ‘born to help Orr’ for his Wyld Hunt as far as Sylvari culture goes. The fact that he studied Orr his whole life is thrown at you constantly. Being in that dump for so long he probably does deserve the position of leading an Army there. He also had all the connections and knew what NPCs to bring to you for specific needs.

Problem is Anet fails to show an NPC’s true strength in story missions as they keep dying so easily. Considering Trahearne hung out in Orr alone all the time, in reality he should be pretty powerful and able to handle himself.

my warrior runs LB/GS in sPvP as banner regen bunker and 1v1 is almost impossible to dent my regen even if you’re a thief. S/D actually has better chance of overcoming the regen becuz it’s constant damage it’s harder for D/D…

anyways, good luck, cuz it’s uphill battle since SS/LB has even more defense than LB/GS.

S/D has crappy cond removal vs dual swords though and gets diced to ribbons. :< The damage isn’t strong enough either to burst down fast enough w/o dying. Since Warrior Regeneration isn’t actually a boon you can’t steal it either. -.-

My Warrior runs S+S & LB Hybrid. There is no way to stop it, period. It’s impossible.

I stole the build off a Warrior that was constantly wrecking everyone in spvp before and impossible for anyone to 1v1 and extremely difficult to even 6v1. Works even better in WvW with access to better runes and gear.

If he’s using Banners with his build you have to try to pull’em away from it. ;s Or wait and see if Warrior nerfs fix it. :P

Thieves are actually the easiest class to kill for me with that build… You should probably just avoid them.

Warriors don’t need to get outa combat though, just kite the person around till they regen to full in a few seconds.

In defence of Trahreane though, he was the one who sat up the Pact. If he wasn’t there, I doubt the Pact would actually exist. Your character was powerful in the story, but he/she sure didn’t display much negotiation or leadership characteristics.

And being a god is great. Why else do you always having mortals aspiring to be gods but never gods aspiring to become mortal one day?

That and he’s the only person who knows how to help Orr and the only one who knows how to use Caladbolg to heal it. =/ Story-wise, if everything was up to the player you wouldn’t have much of a clue on how to stop Zhaitan being a newbie and all, or a Sylvari only a few days old. :x

Knight is never the best idea. You’re better off mixing Berserker and Valk or Berserker and Soldier if you need less balls-out DPS and more survivability because those are Power primary stat combos. You’ll get more damage and more EHP out of 50/50 Berserker/Soldier than you will out of pure Knight. Do Helmet, Chest, and Legs in Soldier and Shoulders, Gloves, and Boots in Berserker as those get better conversions of stats to critical damage.

Then trinkets wise make sure you have critical damage on your accessories, but your rings and amulet can be basically whatever you still need. Just stick with either Valk, Soldier, or Berserker so that you’re always maximizing your Power.

Is mixing the armor really necessary? Can’t just full zerker armor and all valk trinkets?
Can Guardian still survive well w/o any toughness? :O
