I’m terribad at it, but it’s by far one of the simplest to achieve.
Place all fingers minus thumb on 1-4 and 6-9, pay no attention to your character swinging the bills and it might even help to turn your speakers off. I only takes about 30 minutes.
I actually despised this minigame until I find my own method to complete it – now i’m literally dropping into a few games for the fun of it.
Lol… Just bc ur getting rekt doesn’t mean ur fighting a premade, ur probably just bad #psi
I thought it was already a well established rule lately on this board if you right click the enemy team members, you’ll know if it’s premade (and also the obvious guild tags).
Glad it isn’t just me.
At first, I thought it was premades just steamrolling. But last night, I was on a PUG that completely decimated the other side with 500-10. It got so bad I would hang on the far sides waiting for the opposing team member to find me instead of camping spawn.
It’s either a complete steamroll or complete defeat.
This game is all about teamwork, find 4 more, train and try to defend, win against premade teams and actually get better in the game,u will feel much better u will see how much improved instead of making same mistakes in solo ques and getting carried by other people or in other opposite
P.S Leaderboard doesnt work in next 2 weeks so u can lose all day long
Lol… just no. Solo-q is for a solo player to hit pvp without having to wait (keyword) for his friends who might not be on his time schedule.
Why must I, with a hectic schedule, find a team now? I went 2 years without finding a team just fine. I’m not against premade at all, I just don’t have time to do premade, nor do many other players.
Not very fun, I must say so as well.
Having to go against a premade versus a pickup doesn’t seem like working-as-intended – especially in Courtyard.
The premade’s pick the map they want, PUG’s have no other choice but to proceed (very) quickly to a farming session.
I dont agree. PvP Reward Tracks are too easy.
First there were complaints of PvP having no reward – now there’s complaints of too easy. Can’t please everyone!
Great build!
I’ve been using S/S LB for awhile now, but tweaked it to your template today. Big difference. It’s a very strong build against all classes. Condi is a slight problem in a team fight, but that is a general concern for most classes.
IMO shout-heal is better than all pure condi builds. Since you got 30% boon duration as part of the build, the might stack is always between 10 to 20 stacks (around 2k condi damage) you are of course still very much unkillable.
Additionally you can try full celetrial hybrid.
80% fury uptime, with 10 to 20 stack of might = 2.2k power with 1700 condi with the same tankiness.
Gotta agree. I’ve been running a shout-heal condi build with might stacking for a few months and it’s a lot better than the full condi builds for a lot of reasons.
Anyone try this in spvp yet? I’ve been wanting to try a trapper build for awhile since the new runes came out.
Lol, witty…
“I’ve grown tired!”
“I’m fading fast…” (I think that one is something similar to sylvari)
because it can make new player having a break down and start crying uncontrollably due to all of the confusion. we all know how delicate they are all. so fragile and nubz kind of way.
I def. say this. Logical.
Hi, I’m Dom and I was an altaholic before the NPE (Does anyone who played SWG see the resemblance in the SWG NGE?!! Oh the doom…).
Anyways, i’m now cured after trying to level a new alt with these updates. The starting content seems extremely watered down – I clearly remember the first day the game came out and found it excitingly wonderful the amount of things to do, both on the minimap and around your character. The difficulty is a wonderful part of a game.
I hope not; the only reason there’s so much QQing on power ranger is because everyone ignored the power ranger beforehand. None knows hard counters – so what’s the gaming community to do? Like usual, Instead of playing/tweaking to counter the rush of dusted-off-shelved-noob rangers, they QQ/complain.
No, the bat isn’t needed. What’s needed is a look at your tactics for a change when facing power ranger instead of ignoring it.
The more experienced pvpers will quickly learn counters and ways to deal with rangers.
Where it will hurt will be in casual pvp play – specifically people new to pvp will be quickly turned off due to the ease with which and inexperienced ranger can sit at range and kill players in a few seconds (and, unfortunately – whether people want to believe it or not – they can).
So, if spvp were just about catering to veterans and hardcore pvpers, I would say leave them alone. Since there is another aspect to it, I think nerfs are probably warranted (and sooner rather than later).
I’m not so sure. Longbow is ez to play as well so casuals can join on that bandwagon too. And newer players will learn how to los, cc, position and evade longbow rangers. Which can only help them improve.
I’m wanting to either defend of take it as an offense, but i’m not sure which post to go with.
power rangers aren’t easy to play with experienced pvp’ers. In low level/hotjoin, it can be seen as easy sniping on a ranger. But the fact that there is so few defensive capabilities and such a squishy target makes this setup (power ranger) difficult to truly master. Once you’re (power ranger) targeted by the right build/profession, you’ll get trolled on every single encounter. Wind blows and you’re dead.
casuals/casuals is what’s making this cycle of QQing continue. Casuals are do not know their options against a power ranger and the casuals jumping on the power ranger bandwagon – thus we have this thread and the 10 others.
No one said anything of repeat content from last year. All we have so far is that “Blood and Madness” is returning.
Can’t be let down when there is zero details released yet. I mean, it’s still September.
That “general” tab is just pure awesomeness.
Why? I can see all my crafts, my order, and my guild all in one tab. I love you.
Solandri, I love your math! Now can we stop the not so needed QQing of the “OP” ranger danger damage?
I honestly thought you were joking OP until I saw the screenshot – that’s completely absurd. I thought, I mean, I knew GW2 is a themepark, but this is like nailing your feet to the tracks.
Why u do dis anet? Isn’t GW2 about the adventure? About not leveling just from the grind – but the cool concept of leveling via adventuring? What’s the point of level gating diving goggles? Anyone have a logical explanation?
Same thread in the pvp forum – the only reason there is gripes now is because there are more power rangers from this latest patch – everyone is taking out their shelved rangers who never bothered to be a power ranger pre-patch. Before, I can count on my hands the amount of LB power rangers I’ve encountered within the past 5 months.
I’ve stuck with power ranger since the start, and I am by no means surprised by the output, it has changed very little. My damage output pre-patch was just as high, and could down a variety of opponents quickly who failed to dodge or LoS it. Likewise, I could be downed with a few hits from busty thieves, mesmers, necros, etc. On the flip side, any bunker could with reflect would laugh at the damage. It’s still the same.
Just relax and let the fad ride along. It is not OP by any means. You should’ve been playing it pre-patch.
You people are exceptionally vague to the damage output of ranger pre-patch – IT WAS EXACTLY THE SAME. Caps because this is silly. Minor tweaks. I’ve played it for 2 years and there is little surprise to what I am seeing on my output.
Most didn’t realize this because there wasn’t many successful power rangers running in spvp/tpvp. I can count on my hands how many I’ve seen within the last 10 months.
This ranger flood will soon quiet down, so please relax, turn on reflect and DODGE our rapid fire. It’s not that hard.
I’m not understanding where the PR thing comes up – I find it awesome to have the new junk achievement. Every mmo has junk – not all has an achievement!
That’s not even the worst of it. I’m sure you’ve seen the 20 commander tags in the minimap border covering most everything.
I came here only to say to the OP: I love you, man – we played SWG together. Such fond memories.
Although I get your point OP, the rewards aren’t meant for us veteran players – it’s meant to entice the new players to stick around so all of us can enjoy the game.
Personally, i’m sure most will feel the same, personal story and lowbie rewards don’t matter when I’ve got 7 lvl 80’s. I can always make another character and see them.
I just don’t get why it can’t be added as an Asura portal from LA or something.
Think of poor newbies who can’t use downstate skills or play PS. If they happen to get through this portal they might think: Oh noooo GW2 has very bad graphics.
Maybe I am missing your point, and again I did not play SAB much, but if I recall everyone was upscaled. Also, if it is added to the game as a dungeon type of content you can gate the entry level just like other current dungeon content. Why not make it lvl 80 required, since it would be “end game” oblique fun, not part of living story, etc. The original SAB entry had warnings and acceptance button dialogue as well, similar to Fractals.
I like the idea of adding it to Rata Sum for entry, which is where I believe it was originally located.
Just making sure you knew he was being sarcastic
Handy dandy summary for folks…
Wow, I can’t believe they just raised the original price. Hilarious.
Timberline Falls for me; it reminds me so much of the NE Washington area I was stationed in years ago. Mountains, snow, water, dark green foliage. I’ve been craving to go back for school next year. Timberline will do for now.
I hate to do this but GW1 (which I can see is not the same game) and their expansions seemed to further advance the game entirely every time, offering many days/weeks of content that GW2 just hasn’t quite touched upon. The LS is great, but it offers very little in the long run.
Well, see, those expansions also weren’t a problem in one particular way: with one exception, any of those could be purchased and played as a full game. I got my brother into GW1 because I got a free code from a contest somewhere, and he could play alongside me without needing to shell out for every one of the three games at the time.
However, from traditional expansions . . . it is a barrier to new people and it is the biggest reason I keep skipping trying WoW. There’s just a high cost monetarily to getting in and playing with friends who have been playing it for a while.
I don’t have a great objection to expansions . . . I just think they wouldn’t work to fix what’s wrong. I think it’d just magnify the problems when people pay for an expansion and don’t get what they want, as opposed to it just dropping into their laps one part at a time over two weeks.
Actually, you’re entirely right now that I read your explanation.
I knew expansion just didn’t fully explain how GW1 was, it’s been awhile. But back to GW2, a stand alone expansion could be fantastic. I read above how WoW’s expansions pushed some away – this could be a great alternative.
I’m very surprised many in this thread have voiced their opinions on NO expansions – yet many other threads reference an expansion, as well as the countless players wanting an expansion.
I personally think it would revitalize the game to another level entirely – new marketing, new money, new content, bigger content, new races, new abilities, new classes.

“soon?”
“soon.”
they discussed this with the team, and it’s on the radar
“such a dazzling -commander tag- of many colors”
Hahaha….
the blaster sounds really useful honestly. It’s not the random mini annv. presents of GW1, but this is a different game afterall.
So what’s birthday number 3?! lol.
No, no, guys, don’t worry – anet said “a lot of people like it.” It’s so true, too, 25 pages of quaint little smiles and praise.
I’m literally amazed that in the past some odd years of running the same maps, same modes in rotation in tpvp/spvp, no one’s gone crazy or started a serious petition to add more into the rotation.
I just can’t believe it at times – it’s incredibly funny (and sad).
I love pvp to death here in GW2 and GW1, but I’ve never been interested in the e-sports aspect in GW2. I have yet to hear it in my guild chat either (large guild) or in other various chats. This makes me wonder how many other players are in this boat.
I’d be very interested to hear just how popular the e-sports aspect of gw2 actually is, what scale is it on, and what good comes of it (publicity?) considering anet is putting off quite a bit of development for it.
I take it you saw the most recent interview? I too am incredibly disappointed and got nothing of even the slightest hint at features being implemented for future content in GW2. I seemed to view it as nothing new incoming at all.
Okay, whole interview watched: So WHAT are they doing? PvP skill balancing, e-sports, and the feature pack in a few weeks. Anything else? Did I miss something that hints of a future?
As a forum we all can voice our opinions, criticisms, complaints, and suggestions. I think you’re taking the “whining” a tad too far – these posts are made by players, for the most part, who genuinely care for their game just as much as you do. Try and see the other side of the hill.
As much as a critique the game and add to the flames – I keep coming back because of the reasons you stated, OP
Good luck in your journey!
I hope you guys realize who this is. If he posts this, it means all the ‘does Anet care?’ threads, have ring a bell up at Anet.
I believe that’s a community wide win where the argument against us was “Anet doesn’t care about us” type of thing. Well, as a community, we definitely are able to ring bells and make changes. Or at least make a ruckus enough to provoke.
Thank you for showing up on the forums, however, it is long overdue and should be the norm instead of the exception. I feel like I just witnessed a pink bird flying overhead in downtown S.A.
We haven’t asked of promises – we have asked for your community team to be more of an obvious bridge than what they are doing now, not for your developers to show up. Leave your developers where they do the most good. Community team does the most good here. With us. That’s what most, I believe, are asking for.
Fishing in-game is pretty awesome – I’m thinking back to SWG (Sorry) where we grabbed a fishing pole and sat at a dock for a few minutes. It was a mini-game within itself. There are lots of lakes/water access in GW2 that can be fully utilized in my opinion for something like this.
Not following anyone, I swear.
For LB: Power, prec, and ferocity – trinkets as berserker. if you feel you are just too squishy for lvl’ing or PvE in general try toughness (like brawler stats) to mitigate it, but that’s totally up to you and how you like punishment. I personally use more toughness, as I am not a dungeon fiend and am glutton for punishment with LB.
You didn’t really specify if this is Wvw or PvP or PvE.
PvE you might want to try the meta Sw/warhorn with GS; there are guides up top. Like the poster above said, LB isn’t very good in most situations.
I can personally think of SWTOR and TSW (that are currently live, not shut down or in beta/alpha) for a constant flow of communication not from just liaisons but from developers as well. Those are the only two, besides GW2, that I constantly switch to.
I think i’m sold on another Ranger: Charr!
I’ve literally seen 2 past few months, both were in the same pvp match. I would think Charr is least ranked in my opinion too.
+1 on this.
Red icons next to the threads is a very welcomed site. I’m glad there was a surge, although by our recent negativity and want of change? i’m not sure, but all the same.
truly hope more will come; just the explanations of what’s what is very cool.
I was thinking more along the lines of the way the new backpack treasure hunt is setup – have multiple items (by this example) acquired by various means, each item leads you to a different task around tyria of varying difficulties.
But that’s treasure hunt, crafting… hmm, combination of the two?
Use 5 and gtfo! Downside is that its hard to aim for an escape with Moa, you’ll run into the wall if you try it without paying attention, lol.
