A first attempt at a build, but here it is:
http://gw2skills.net/editor/?fgAQRAsf7dl0zCrHTTrGZNJipCB3JFMn0RSRphalUYbXIA-TwAg2CuIcSJjTGjTyksJNSYFwegpAA
A PvP Build, this mesmer is meant to first pick at a lone enemy and drag him around, using stealth and teleporting and swiftness to stay away from them and to keep stringing them along. First, the mesmer will create a portal before moving in. After this, the mesmer will attack with the scepter and continuously create clones and cripple with the focus as they move, then switch to sword/torch in the case that you are immobilized or slowed into the enemy’s range. The mesmer would then stall with the sword and stealth/burn with the torch before continuing.
If you begin to win, the number of mobility and stealth skills will make it easy to corner and hit the opponent if they try to run away. If you begin to lose, create a portal before you are downed and port yourself all the way back to the beginning of the chase, avoiding giving the other team points and dying.
Condition, mobility, and crippling traits are used to increase the effectiveness and the ability to kill and run from the opponent. Sigils used are mainly to increase condition duration to help damage and the runes used are for survival, mobility, and more damage duration.
This is an untested build.

Advice for Builds construction(again, first time, so this is appreciated)?
I put this in the suggestions, but I think this idea fits more here.
I believe we should turn the Marjory’s Journal item into a historian for the Living Story and the short stories that are written on the site and not in game. These can be written descriptions, or (more preferably) cut scenes in which show the events of the short stories. This ties in to the fact that Marjory herself is a detective, so it wouldn’t be out of the ordinary for such a renowned detective to have investigated the pasts of characters and events.
Maybe it will make sense and everything will be solved when we meet Mr. E… wait, never mind, that’s contradicting.
I was thinking, with talk about how it seems a shame that the short stories on the sight aren’t in game, that we can turn the item Marjory’s Journal into a device to let us view cutscenes that show all these short stories play out. It would make sense, lore-wise, as well, since Marjory is a detective these can be her investigations into the pasts and motives of these significant peoples. It might also help foreshadow or give credit to Marjory as a real detective.
Thoughts?
I wanted to hear opinions on the characters that have popped up up ‘til now. Here’s a list to jump start your memory:
-Rox[Charr trying for Stone Warband]
-Braham[Upstart Norn Hero]
-Ellen Kiel[Lionsguard Captain//Lion’s Arch Council Member]
-Moto[Inventor of SAB]
-Canach[Lone Guerrilla Terrorist]
-Mai Trin[Aetherblade Captain]
-Evon Gnashblade[Owner of Black Lion Company]
-Marjory Delaqua[Old-School Necromancer Detective]
-Lady Kasmeer[Partner of Marjory and Noble]
-Mr. E[Mystery]
-Faren[Faren]
-Scarlet Briar[Crazy Omnipotent-ish Mastermind]
(edited by Dondagora.9645)
This may be a simple idea, but I also understand it might take some extra brain work to add it in, but what I’d like to see is some Class-focused options that let you choose a path unique to the class you’re in and also what the class can do. So, for instance, the fort is pinned down by some risen set on killing you. For a Mesmer, an option could be to create duplicates and distract them and run, or perhaps teleport a crew behind them and do a counterattack. For an Elementalist, it could be to fortify the walls with earth magic, rein down hell on them with fire magic, or perhaps flood them out with water magic. While the results don’t have to be different or changed, a variety of ways to handle situations might add to the quality of the story.
I would be honored to join. Great job creating this whole thing.
In-Game Name: Dondagora
Server/World: Sanctum of Rall
Playstyle: I like to try a bit of anything that seems interesting. WvW and Living Story occupy most of my time.
Role: Scholar, mostly
Extra: Have you given thought to making a “Porter” role for those who enjoy and excel in Jump Puzzles? It might emphasize another major role Mesmers play in GW2 and also give the guild more economic gain through tips/donations from grateful Portees.
So, we have had these living story pieces where we face an entire faction. First, it was Molten Alliance, meaning Dredge and Flame Legion. Now, it’s Pirates and Inquest. This is probably the start of a pattern, a major racial nemesis group together with a minor or alternate group.
And thus, I want to hear your guesses for who will join up with the Ministry, Nightmare, or Svanir, assuming they’re the next or upcoming antagonists.
Assuming the gods are in danger of the Elder Dragons eating them or they simply don’t want humans to be too reliant on them, I have a theory on something.
It is that Melandru is, or merged with, the Pale Tree to create the Dream. We know that there is another Pale Tree and it is assumed that it does not have the Dream since the Sylvari that came from it has the sense of nothingness, but it is also unknown whether this is due to being so far away or otherwise. While virtues and other things were given to our Pale Tree by Ronan and Ventari, that does not mean that another Pale Tree simply has no consciousness whatsoever. I believe the Dream is part of Melandru’s plan in indirectly trying to help Tyria by both giving virtue to the Sylvari and moving them to her own advantage. I also think that it was due to the fact that Melandru added magic to the Tree that the Dream can exist in Tyria, but the Pale Tree without this abundance of power can’t create this “community channel”.
Her element and description fit the Avatar of the Pale Tree, which is female for another unknown reason. The Gods could hide, but I find it unlikely that they would completely leave humans alone or Tyria alone to fend for itself, so some, or just Melandru, decided to watch from the sidelines with a few hints here and there.
Opinion?
Simply put, try to list any characters you find to be worthy of being called “Elite” or “Epic”. This could be in multiple ways, but this is also a good way to find all the important or may-possibly-be important characters(or groups) in the story that could pop up, or be mentioned, later on. To get some obvious ones out of the way:
-Destiny’s Edge
-Braham, Norn to-be Hero
-Roxx, Charr to-be elitist legionnaire
-Kiel, Lionguard Inspector of great skill and workaholic
-Kasmeer, Human noble with an air of importance about her
-Canach, Second-Born Sylvari with great skill in guerrilla warfare
-Consortium, greedy idiots
Sell all your stuff and bet it. This might sound irrational and stupid, but trust me, you have that look of luck about you! Not that I can see you through the screen. Or that I’ve actually sold all my stuff to gamble with… But y’know, I feel like I know this stuff, even if I have no experience. I’m probably a genius or something. So trust the voice of a genius and do it!
A shelled wagon that has a single person steering, but can fit multiple people under its shell. This would move slower than the average player, but could offer mass cover for the team against things like Arrow Carts and other siege when trying to get close. However, it has no offense capability and cannot be repaired.
I think this would be a useful addition the WvW. Just my opinion though, there might be reasons this wouldn’t work that I hadn’t thought of. Or other things this could do that I hadn’t thought of either. If so, you’re free to tell.
Perfect for people who want to make a guild, but don’t have(or want to use) a seperate website to operate it.
My own guess: Vritra, Hindu Dragon that “kept the waters of the world captive”. This seemed to fit the DSD pretty well.
Why is Mordremoth Athurian? I rather see his name as hebrew influenced, like Behemoth.
Hn, didn’t think of that. Was thinking Sir Mordred from the Round Table, but I’ll add Hebrew to it as well since it seems to have a bit of both.
(edited by Dondagora.9645)
All the Elder Dragons thus far have cultural bases for their name, and from multiple different areas in the world for diversity and variation. And so, I want to hear your guesses at the culture, land, or name of the Deep Sea Dragon. To help you all, here’s the names, culture, and general area the other dragons come from:
Primordus: Rome/Latin-[Central Europe]
Zhaitan: Islam/Arabic-[Middle East]
Jormag: Norse Myth-[Northern Europe]
Kralkatorric: Indonesian Volcano-[Indonesia]
Mordemoth: Celtic/Arthurian|&|Hebrew-[Ireland/Britain]
(edited by Dondagora.9645)
What are your hopes, predictions, and expectations for the Dragon Bash/Festival arc?
In my opinion, I think Zhaitan was the more intelligent-based dragon of the six since he commanded a more militaristic form of minions than any of the other dragons. So he wasn’t the strongest, but seemed to have a good strategic sense given how he seems to be the only dragon to have performed planned attacks on Tyria. He also had the largest influence, so if we wanted to say that all the dragons are equal in their own way, Zhaitan’s forte would be “Military/Intelligence” and “Influence”.
Primordus would be “Power” and “Numbers” since his minions are high-damage and tanks made of stone, but also he doesn’t need to corrupt living things, which may be an advantage to creating endless waves of destroyers.
Jormag would be “Psychology/Intelligence” and maybe “Size/Strength/Defense”, and/or possibly an unknown ability to steal power, given that it stole the ability to transform into a bear from somebody before, though it was never explained. Defense is just assumed since nothing has been able to scratch the fang before, which only happened with the help of the spirits, which together with the Norn could only take a single fang. Still unknown compared to the other dragons, though.
Andal: 9.5/10, just sounds right, y’know? Even the epithet contributes to it.
Leia: 7/10, is fine, just doesn’t have a great ring to it, but not wrong for a human.
Jack: 8/10, Good and unique last name, but it doesn’t flow as perfectly as the first name.
Mine’s Dondagora, a male mesmer. No last name. Also shortened to Don or Donda in chat.
Appearance of more Consortium chests in the Gem Store?
I posted a topic like this
They might just start their own team since they’ve began working together already. It’s unlikely Braham would work with his mother, or vice versa, and I don’t think Rytlock is keen on the idea of him helping or babysitting Rox on her missions, so it’s not likely they’ll join the current DE.
One theory that is unlikely, but I’d like to point out in case people have already dismissed this, is that Trahaerne could be the Sylvari of the new generation. Sylvari are already fairly young, he’s experienced, Firstborn, and has a unique weapon and skill set despite his profession. While there’s some Trahaerne hate about, I think it might be amusing to see how Rox and Braham might react to his blandness. However, I doubt in this possibility, but wanted to put it out there anyway.
My predictions/logic for the next members are thus:
-Sylvari: [Probably]Won’t be a thief or necromancer due to Caithe and Trahaerne. I don’t think Engineer since Rox is already a range-type and it’ll be hard to create a cool pistol or rifle that can represent the race well. Ranger and Guardian are out. This leaves Elementalist, Mesmer, and Warrior.
-Human: Probably not warrior due to it being too generic with humans, but this is assuming ANet is going for non-generic, which they have shown thus far with Braham and Rox. Again, Guardian and Ranger are out. While I won’t completely out it, Trahaerne’s already a pretty important character, so it probably won’t be Necromancer. Now then, there’s Mesmer, Elementalist, Thief, and Engineer. I don’t expect Elementalist, since you can’t really go firing fireballs, earthquakes, and floods around in a human city so easily, so they probably wouldn’t have trained in that. I predict if it’s a Mesmer, it’ll be a certain countess’s son/daughter. If thief or engineer, a commoner of exceptional skill.
-Asura: Maybe Elementalist, despite Zojja being one. He/She could be Zojja’s apprentice, perhaps, though if not I don’t believe it’ll be an elementalist. Engineer is less likely due to it not fitting well with the race’s high-tech image, though he/she could be a strange Asura interested in industrial age technology, though I set this aside for now. Necromancer out again because of Trahaerne. Guardian and Ranger out from Braham and Rox. It might be interesting to see why an Asura Thief would be about, though it’s not unknown. We’ve seen one in the Pact missions, though this might make it more unlikely. And so, my opinion falls that the Asura will more likely be a warrior or mesmer, though this is a lot less certain than the others since Asura can be very adaptive in their reason why they might do anything.
What about objective writing? Being able to make an objective in the top-right corner of the screen like an event, it’ll help coordinate the squad and communicate plans with greater success.
Apparently, or maybe that’s my opinion is mixing with fact, F&F is most likely only a beginning chapter to future Living Story Expansions/Arcs/Chapters, so there will be some changes and additions to the world and will probably be mentioned in these future expansions.
Here’s an idea: Since the fractals of the mist aren’t bound by time or place, after a temporary dungeon has been away for a while, there can be an option with a Fractals of the Mist portal to go back and do these instances/dungeon to keep up to date with the story for the new people. This would also be fun to go back and relive some old stuff, though anything that may be repeated or reintroduced shouldn’t be placed here.
Ideas or criticism?
Until the end of the whole Flame and Frost
I agree with most of what is on there, but I don’t think siege towers will be implemented due to it being too cheap to the defenses. I think ladders would be better, but should be easily burned/dropped so that players making there way up can be damaged if an enemy finds it, along with a penalty like, let’s say, temporary Daze or Confusion. This would make it so people can’t just all try to invade a Keep by huddling around the tower and getting in by the tens. It should also take at least 5 to 10 seconds to get up. I think this would be better than towers, making ladders more of the Infiltrator’s siege.
Traps would also be good as counter-infiltrator tools, helping to either stun them, giving NPCs time to find them, creating sparks or a sound that NPCs will casually investigate, or even a hidden portal that lands them in a cell where they die and can’t be revived. Just an idea.
I give it a 8/10. Redgen is an awesome first name, and the story was fine, though Furyblaze doesn’t sound very smooth. It may be cool, but it doesn’t have a great ring to it, which cost you a point. What also cost you was the epic-level of the name. I tend to give 9/10 to anyone who doesn’t have anything wrong with the name, but they don’t stand out as “Super-Awesome”.
Here’s mine:
-Lycanthus Sineater[Necromancer]: Once the leader of a human separatist faction, he was the most merciless and ferocious man known, he was invited to a parley with a noble ambassador and friend of the Queen. He accepted, but only to give the ambassador the most ruthless end which earned him his fate. Having his subordinates murder on of the ambassadors children and chop them up to put in the ambassador’s own stew secretly, along with an amount of Zhaitan’s corruption, the Ambassador died with his undead son killing him from inside out. Eventually, a Mesmer Sylvari found the truth of this case and found it was his Wyld Hunt to track this man down and have him pay for his sin. Once found, there was a battle and he lost, but the Sylvari didn’t kill him. Instead, he bent realities to his will and time warped in ways previously unknown, forcing change onto Lycan. Forced into the form of a Charr, which he had known as sworn enemies before, the Sylvari condemned him to stay Charr for the rest of his life until he understood them and his hate dispersed.
When he was sent to the plains of Ascalon where a Charr outpost was set up, he wiped them out with his dark magic, the fact of him being Charr putting their guard down. He was eventually found and captured. The legions found him guilty of treason, but also found his skill and attitude useful, thus condemning him to the Sin Warband, full of strong and powerful criminals of a level of skill in murder, the most brutal Warband. It was with them that his hate for Charr disappeared, replaced with an admiration for Charr ruthlessness. He took “Eater” up as his surname, as well as changing his first name into a more Charr-like adaptation. The “Eater” was almost meant mockingly to the Sylvari and his crime.

Yeah, I don’t think ANet just left Southsun for dead. They’re probably going to have it evolving throughout the game and new events will come over time. Not that I don’t want to see it active sooner, but I trust that ANet has some grand master plan.
For those of you whining that still don’t get the point of having to pay or think ANet is getting greedy, the answer is this: These Customs servers are ones that ANet owns and they don’t have an infinite source of servers either, so it’s a limited resource. The payment and time token system is so the private or custom arenas: A. Don’t just get stuck to a person who quit or isn’t active for forever more and B. So to help limit the people who have one so they don’t have to, let’s say, give out a couple thousand(probably more) out to every player or guild that decides to get one. In the second case, they’ll run out of servers and have to tell everyone either that they’re going to have to redo the system so they take all the custom arena servers away or they have to tell everyone it was first come first serve and just leave all the slow or new players out.
So yeah, there is a good reason for it.
To the human thing… My guess is that it might be for something later, like if there is a Return/Rescue/Search of the Gods expansion at one point if they extend the personal stories, Humans may be sent to rescue the gods they chose.
Well, I thought this might be a good idea to lessen the Trahearne hate. Create a dungeon into the Dream to let us see Trahearne’s past, maybe add a conspiracy or secret hints to make it more interesting, so we can actually witness the great feats he accomplished, though this time try not to make him feel so… “Perfect and Bland”. This might help us get a better feeling for Trahearne and why he was chosen to lead the pact or why he’s most fit to lead. Other things that might be cool would be :
-How Trahearne earned the recognition of the 3 Orders of the Pact
-How Trahearne met Sayeh and how he helped
-Trahearne acting the “big brother” to the other Sylvari
Now, by no means do I like Trahearne, but as others have said, he had/has potential as a character and seeing as it is unlikely ANet will drop him, I want to be able to like him more or at least put some depth into his character.
@ANet: Another thing, can you make Trahearne more… charismatic? Just maybe more militaristic or leader-like and feelings and things like a personality?
Anyway, I’m just thinking this will help us cope and accept him more. Ideas or opinions?
Well… I didn’t have the patience to read through all the posts, but here’s my opinion: I hate people who use the argument “Just have fun” or “why so serious(not referring to a certain clown)?” because it puts people down who enjoy serious gaming, and many would say “it’s just a game”, but I don’t see any reason why “just being a game” would make it wrong for a person to play the game seriously.
However, I myself am not against the event, as I see it fit within the Asura’s reach to make, however the retro and abnormality of its place in Guild Wars is probably from the event it was assigned for, April Fools, thus meaning it’s a kind of joke because of its abnormality and not something to be scene as a serious/important event in the game, but more scene, for lack of better words, as a “filler event” due to it not being of great importance in the game, but still a new and limited time mini-“world event”.
My advice, ask ANet to create an “Extra Muter” that mutes sounds outside of the normal game’s theme that you can toggle so you can avoid hearing that 8-bit sound that annoys you and just go on about your business. I can’t say it’s a perfect solution, but it’s what I got.
I believe that Rox and Braham are just the start of a new generation Destiny’s Edge. ANet went out of their way to give them both unique appearances, awesome new weapons, and even went(or will go) in depth with their background. Rox was made without a Warband to make her individual and free to do as she wishes, and Braham free from his homestead by having it under attack and also his father dead and disconnected from his mother. This makes them both allowed to join/create a guild of their own apart from their race. They both also have unique or more non-stereotypical personalities for their race. While this doesn’t point directly to them joining together into a new Destiny’s Edge, I believe that ANet won’t just throw these guys away or just make them side-characters in the future. Also, they’ll probably encounter or join up with each other in the final installment of Flame and Frost when they assault the Molten Alliance’s Base or HQ.
Opinions?
I believe Southsun Cove will become a bigger part of the living story with the Consortium moving towards its own secret objective there.
Title says it all. If you were ANet’s Executive Idea-Guy, how would you design the fights with the other Elder Dragons?
As a reminder for those who don’t want to double-check names and things like that:
-Primordus, the Fire/Lava Dragon under the surface of Tyria.
-Kralky, the Crystal Dragon in the deserts to the east.
-Jormag, the Ice Dragon in the northern mountains.
-Mordremoth, the Jungle Dragon, probably in the Maguuma Jungle.
-Bubbles, the Deep Sea Dragon(A.K.A. the DSD) in the deep sea of Tyria, cutting off any contact from the outside.
So, basically, he’s very shallow. He’s an environmentalist who didn’t like Zhaitan polluting Orr so he makes it his mission, yada yada, but that’s it. He’s made out to be like some kind of perfect Messiah.
What would be best if for the rest of the stories they just sit Trahearne back in his seat in the Pact HQ and just let the Hero be front-line general from now on. All problems fixed.
True, common sense, in most cases, would dictate him meaning Mordremoth. When you think of Primordus you usually also think of “lava/volcano/fire”. It’s also an easy name to pronounce so he was most likely not be talking about Primordus in that instance.
Also, I believe they didn’t focus Zhaitan on sylvari but simply Trahaerne, simply making him Sylvari because it’s the least dominating race so peopl can’t say “The Char are best ’cause they rule the pact” or “Human’s are getting all the main roles” or “Norn are strongest so they lead the pact” or even “The Asura are the smartest and bestest leaders, so they rule the pact”. Because Sylvari aren’t portrayed as arrogant, ambitious, or bias ANet found it best to put one in charge to make it seem fair.
Also, here’s how I think it might be split up:
-Humans: 6 Gods Storyline
-Sylvari: Mordremoth
-Char: Crystal
-Norn: Jormag
-Asura: Primordus//Dwarf Storyline
The final boss will either be DSD, the last dragon to wake(or maybe that’s Mordremoth?) which is powerful enough to keep Tyria completely isolated, or Primordus if the Asura don’t get him, since he was the first to awake and possibly the biggest(assuming). Since their elements are more universal it makes them better candidates for the ending-boss.
Ah! I had a thought. As Sylvari are very well based on Arthurian Legend, it makes complete sense for them to be directly connected or will become the main focus for the Jungle Dragon Mordremoth, which is most likely based off Mordred. Not sure if this is a new idea or not, but just got me excited I found the connection.
The connection between the Sylvari and the Jungle Dragon(thankfully we have a dub for it now) is in the theory that the Sylvari were actually meant to be the JD’s minions, though the seed that made the grove was stolen and planted by the centaur and human, so yeah, that failed. So if it comes down to it, dragon-sylvari might come up and become the antagonist during the JD’s story. This theory is supported by the facts that it is unknown what happened to the other seeds, that the sylvari’s being happens to match the element of the dragon, and that they were born near the time the first Elder Dragon stirred.
As for humans, I think one of their roles will be to quest out to find their gods again and bring them back to help. Or at least find them.
While this might be hard, I’d like to see the Commander’s given the power to create events for their squad, made so they can designate a certain place and list commands in the event corner. Also, being able to draw event lines on the map might be good as well so the squad can move more effectively without needing to notice the commander telling them stuff.
It might also be good to give the commander exclusive machines like Target-Markers to track specific enemies or doylaks so their squad can ambush them. This could be a mini golem, maybe, that just follows the target 50 meters away, so if they don’t look around they won’t spot it, but if they do find it it can be destroyed or used as a decoy.
Another could be the Wayward Tent. Simply a wayward point that automatically revives anyone who dies within 100 meters of it inside. This would be useful in lengthy and consuming sieges on the citadels, but expensive and also exposed to enemy fire. However, it can’t be used for others to simply teleport to it outside its given range.
I vote for:
-Bard
-Monk*
-Ritualist
-Runemaster
-Mimic
-Inquisitor*
-Duelist*
Since I think these are the best of the bunch. Those with the asterisk are the ones I prefer the most.
Oi, no trashing.
While I agree that “God” wouldn’t be a necessarily good title, I think it would be fine(though not seriously necessary) to have a title(s) for having equipped a legendary weapon.
My ideas:
Bifrost: The Watcher
The Dreamer: The Prophet
Juggernaut: The Breaker
Hn, like within the Guild Ranks, you can use color on the rank emblem to distinguish factions of the guild.
While it may not be immediate, it would be interesting to see an evolving “Guild Story”, parallel to your own personal story and the Destiny Edge possibly, but maybe creating a few unique stories which are like “Paths” guilds go down that is intertwined with their purpose. For instance, PvE Guilds could choose a path that deals with problems in Tyria with a few other branch options, such as becoming a branch of one of the Orders that focuses in a specific brand of problems for the “Cause” which form a storyline around them, or maybe becoming an independent unit that deals with a more focused and individual problems within the guild that could lead to conspiracy or a climatic story.
WvW Guilds can also be put in a story even if they aren’t really focused in that stuff, for instance their story would focus on problems within the Mists and other dimensional or worldly creatures, as a guild of Mist Warriors. This might even be good to band together with other guilds or given NPC mobs for special large-scale instances.
PvP Guilds… I’ll think of something.
And it wouldn’t be as limited as that. Just a generally wide choice of Guild Storylines is best for a variety of different guilds to enjoy it.
These missions could also help guilds practice strategies in their particular field of focus, so they also benefit even if they’re not that kind of guild.
In cases when a guild wants to do another story after they finish their initially chosen one, they can pay via Influence.
And for special occasions, such as Holiday Events or the Living Story, free limited-time Guild Missions can also gives players a parallel view of the story.
Ideas on this?
Just seems that since there are legendary weapons, it would be nice to instead have the option of having a Legendary mini pet instead. Maybe a Mini Elder Dragon? Well, just an idea, though minis don’t fight so it might be useless, but like all the other legendary weapons, it’ll just look really cool. Ideas on what would be good for legendary minis or support/criticism is fine as well, but make it constructive at the least.
I’m sure somebody has already suggested it, or possibly Anet is already working on it and I didn’t know, but I was thinking that it could create a sense of sport in a guild when they compete each other for guild-wide prizes and such and such. They could have it so only 100 or so could compete from a guild at once, alliances are allowed to fight as one, and everyone is boosted to the same level. In such a PvP they could give each guild a keep or two and put them on a mini-map, not as small as PvP, but obviously not as big as WvW. Guilds would be a much more organized form of warfare as well, giving better strategy than WvW or PvP.
Any other suggestion, criticism, or correction to this is appreciated.
I don’t hate Trahaern, yet still I think it best to keep him as the general/Marshal of the Pact while our character is the frontline Commander in it, making us still the “Hero”.
Also, for the other Elder Dragon battles I’d like to see large-scale stuff like with the Lost Shores. Maybe a multi-party dungeon where different groups of players are given equally important tasks in the same area in a ED fight. Might be fun, yet might also take away the personal focus. Well, it should be alright if ANet does it right. Possibly even a WvW-like deal with large-scale mob-army conquest. Anything for epicness.
Yet no other Norn could, so it was the specific person that did so not an example of the height that the entire race can achieve. It’s like saying that humans can take out tanks alone by looking at a superhuman(hypothetical mutant). Sure, Norn are tough, brave, yada yada. But still, you can’t say that Norn are better than humans as a whole. You wouldn’t say the Norn could beat the Asura just because they’re bigger, right? Each race has their own racial qualities that give them their own strength. The Humans, for instance, still have remnants of their gods’ powers, as shown by many priests and human elite skills. Charrs have militaristic ability and technology(tanks, tanks, more tanks) in mass number while Asura have a future magic-technology(portals, lasers, robots) with a slower production rate than Charr. Norn have their spirits to empower them along with their larger structure and sylvari(while not really in this war) have a massive “collective consciousness” to a certain extent.
You could aim for Eternity or simply play whenever they release a new event storyline. Not much help for that, really.
