I paid $150 for GW2. I paid $100 for HoT. All because I feel like I get more than my money’s worth. I’ve never looked at what the player next to me payed or what they recieved. But it looks like I am in the minority.

What would you like Anet to include in the veteran version?

That means as long as you have done 65 of the 180 you will be able to unlock all skills for that character.
One third isn’t daunting, and by now we all should have done that.

Plus the symbol on the door that Rytlock pushes open IS Mursaat.

Wouldn’t the dragons be a large enough threat for them to reconsider their hidden ways?

I have never seen a video game that sold for less than $50 on release.

If its little more than skill changes and a map pack than its insanely over-priced and they will lose two-thirds of their population. If its all we can expect it CAN BE, I for one will be stealing money from Anet with the amount of hours I put in.

I can afford $50 but I wouldn’t buy kitten milk shake. Because a milk shake isn’t worth $50.

I buy book by author, usually go to movie based on actor and/or director.
All of my decision making based on prior works.
My decision to buy the $100 version of HoT was based on the GW2 core game.
Which despite all our jabs is a fantastic game.

Correct. We DO NOT know. It could be brilliance. It might be utter kitten.

$50 is a night out, a tank of gas, a bag of groceries, or a video game on ANY system.

I pre-purchased the $100 version, and no amount of negative sway will alter my mood on the matter, but I am with the OP on this one.
EVERY version of HoT should come with a slot. It’s common sense.

Off and on for years? Some of us never left, and some of us will judge the content on the CONTENT and not the price. And ‘veterans’ have no entitlement whatsoever, othern continued enjoyment.

Neither is cheap. If you have that much gold, just buy it, and use every you have accumulated to chase another.

We all saw the Mursaat in the HoT trailer, so the obvious question for those of us lucky enough to have killed them in the first GW. Well, we all know we could not have done that if not for armor infusion. And since GW2 has infusions for Fractals, will we even see that dynamic, or will it be scrapped?

What say you?

By the way was the first Centaur, a shady dude that just had to sample humans, or was it a plow horse that had no boundaries? Food for thought…

I believe we all are. Or at least all of the guild members that purchase HoT.
We do not have to buy a guild hall, but your guild does.

In the cutscene at the end of season 2, Rytlock appears as the first rev spouting on about the Sylvari being in league with Mordremoth.

So if he was kitten-deep in the Mists, how does he know the Sylvari are tainted?

I bought tickets to Avengers 2 only knowing that Ultron was the bad guy. I buy every Stephen King novel only seeing the cover, I am rarely disappointed.
If you want to argue the lack of character slot, I will listen. If you say there isn’t enough information on expac. There doesn’t have to be. Any IP should be revealed at the creator’s discretion. Either you like the creator’s past work enough to trust in the purchase or you don’t.
Either way GW2 will roll on. Because some of us are still happy.

Agreed. EVERY customer matters. Even if they can’t realize yet, or no longer care to.

I bought the $100 version with no qualms, but I am with the OP fully.
Just include a character slot already. With every version.

I am on your side. Already purchased the $100 version. Been with Anet since GW1 dropped. But let me be honest, gamers aren’t angry because of things they did not receive free. Anet has done a poor job of PROPERLY conveying just what is inside their expac.
How many maps? How big are the maps?
What are the rest of the elite specs? Why would someone that only plays thief give them money when they have ZERO idea what they will get.
On the free side, Anet SHOULD include a character slot with every version. It’s simple gratitude towards the player.
I bought it, I am happy to do so, like you we will enjoy gliding through Tyria. But if they lose gamer population they have no one to blame but themselves.

Have you been playing still? If you are NOT enjoying the game then why are you still playing? More importantly, why are you on the forums?
For those of us that still love the game, and thought the cutscene at the end of Season 2 was epic, then the price* is justified.
Any individual voice does not speak for the masses.
(*the asterisk is because I believe every edition should include a character slot.)

I do however, want this expansion to stretch all the way to the sea. They can sell their 3-ply maps all they want, but HoT has to give us access to the ocean or we won’t see a new race in even the NEXT expac.

I paid a $100. Happily. Their ‘track record’ stems all the way back to Prophecies. So let’s see…hmmm, the core GW1= brilliant, Factions= excellent, Nightfall= fantastic, GWEN= fun, and then onto GW2…which I have 2k thousand hours on.
Now either buy it or don’t, but if you want to argue ‘track record’, Anet has made millions of happy gamers for ten years now.

I have 8 80s, one for each class, and I started on Warrior. Very vanilla.
Necro is my personal fav after going through each class extensively, but it really comes down to what feels natural.
Try Engineer.
That Engineer skill chain is for people who lust after optimal DPS. Get your hands on a blowtorch and cook people. Underwater use grenades.

Sounds like a solid idea. I’ve thought about it myself as we are a smaller guild looking to build. A lot of our recruits are low level and new to the game.

Question though, how many different colored tags are there?

Charr area? In the second zone there is a jumping puzzle on the wall you should enjoy.
At level 35 make sure you enter Ascalonian Catacombs.
Whatever you do, just continue to have fun.

It did not change the amount of swiftness it grants. With runes of the pack and a warhorn you perma-swift through map completion. But you’re upset because you can pop it when you’re falling?

Never bought it once. I stand validated by my lethargy.

So a little map scraping, a little PVP and you can change your outfit like a drag queen.

Yep. Map completion gives you one per zone. Cities included

So use the Well. Necros are still going in the right direction.
