I have no interest in reading the entirety of this or commenting directly, however I must applaud Martin Kerstein for one thing:

You allow debate to continue naturally and do not censor it like some. A forum should not exist within a bubble and you actually seem to take steps to gather information and the feedback of the player base.

I have been reading several posts and realized that you are unlikely to close threads until they really are completely pointless, not because it has something in it that you don’t want to read.

I applaud you for that, Bravi Bravi Bravi. Credit is due.

I feel the ability for people to speak candidly is important in any situation where information is shared. This atmosphere used to simply not exist on these forums but perhaps it has been introduced.

TLDR;
Its great to see these things read and discussed and not trashed immediately in recent times. Kudos.

You think that response was professional?

-snip-

I’m not missing that at all. Most opinions on virtually any topic have grey area involved, and the majority floats near the middle.

That said, vertical progression is a model which distinctly favors hardcore players. It’s designed to keep these sorts of people playing by introducing gear at a rapid rate, because even though it can’t possibly keep up with the hardcore crowd, that’s who it’s aimed to cater to. You don’t build a game around vertical progression unless your goal is to keep people playing long-term by chasing after better gear. The horizontal model, by comparison, thrives on making new and shiny gear instead of just making it better. Ergo it’s a model better suited to a casual audience even if the grind for such items is enormous….because throughout that period, they’re not placed at any sort of significant disadvantage statistically. They can still pop in and out of the game and have a decent opportunity at success.

What GW2 is trying to do is have both: it’s introducing vertical progression but at a largely decelerated rate. The idea is pretty obvious: if you introduce it slowly, casuals aren’t hit as hard by the growth in overall player power and have an opportunity to keep up a little better. But at the same time you’re still giving the hardcore players new, better gear to chase after. It would seem, on paper, to be the best of both worlds.

Unfortunately, the core problem behind such a setup is that you can’t possibly introduce the content at a slow-enough rate for most casual audiences, relegating such “grinds” to a long-term goal that feels out of their reach. A month of dedicated daily play for one item isn’t something that a typical casual player is able to do. On the other hand, when you introduce it as slowly as GW2 has, your hardcore players gobble it up in days and are once again left with nothing to do but wait and complain about a lack of content. Thus both parties end up unhappy to varying degrees. Yeah, you minimized the number of very vocal complaints because only the extreme ends of the spectrum are totally outraged at the very idea of what you’ve done….but the groups in the middle aren’t necessarily placated by what you did either.

Indeed, casuals have the same access to the game, and can eventually earn the same rewards as long-term goals. But that’s missing the forest for the trees. The problem isn’t the notion that the game is half-hardcores and half-casuals, the problem is that you’re trying to appeal to both extremes at the same time, and the result is a model that doesn’t please either extreme, and often leaves the people in the middle disappointed to boot. They would be better off picking one end and then compromising to a very limited degree towards the middle, as that has the best shot of retention and general happiness. Trying to continually play the middle isn’t actually making the middle people necessarily “happy”, and it’s making both extremes mad.

And while I appreciate your anecdotal evidence, I have some of my own to the contrary. I know a number of people who have given up on the game because they didn’t like one thing or another that was implemented after release. None of them were on either extreme of the casual/hardcore “scale”. They were all middle-of-the-line guys. Trying to appeal to the center doesn’t necessarily mean that the center always ends up happy with what you’ve created. It does, however, virtually guarantee that both extremes will be unhappy.

That’s why I’m saying that it’s time to get off the fence and choose whether they want a game that is friendly to casuals or one that caters to hardcore players. Because their attempts to appease both sides just aren’t working right now.

I wish the devs listened to people like you but I think they are forced to listen to shareholders and NCSoft

1. Defeats the whole point of guesting, no?
6. There are two different teams – one working on content and one on bugs.
8. As I don’t use either of these abominations, I agree. However, announcements are usually linked to in the Wiki anyway (link at the top of the page).
10. As far as I’m concerned, with the countless repeat threads on raids, duels, mounts and now, guesting as well, the forums aren’t being moderated hard enough. The ability to use the search function should be a prerequisite to starting any new thread in the Suggestions subforum.
14. Absolutely not. GW2 is not a pay-to-win game, nor a triple-dip one. People bought into this game because it was a one-off purchase and because there is no sub.

1.Actually guesting is keeping home players from doing events.
14. They could offer a sub option for people who don’t want to deal with DR or all the other things that are forcing players to play this game they way they want instead of the way the player wants. Example is the insane nerf of all drops in cursed shore from mobs and you being required to be in a party to even have a chance to tag something for loot.

I feel there are many things to improve the game and I hope this thread can be used as our suggestions on improvement.

1. Make guesters guest on an overflow on the server they are visiting.
2. Turn DR off or communicate how it really works so we all know how to keep it from effecting players that just want to play the game their way.
3. Make Spvp balance for classes completely different than Pve balance.
4. Boost dps on engineers and rangers for Pve and add more survival for ranger pets or just remove them from the game and change the class to an archer.
5. Quit with the secret loot nerfs and place a limit on how many porous bones a player can get in one day.
6. Stop releasing silly fluff content patches and focus on making the game better.
7. Don’t buff anymore dungeons and ruin them for the levels they were intended for. If you can’t make a decent challenging dungeon to begin with don’t change it and further anger your loyal players. If you want to make it more difficult then add a hard mode and make changes there with increased loot chances. If players are abusing a dungeon decrease the tokens granted for the most popular path.
8. Stop posting important game information on Facebook or Twitter first. This is your forum so use it first to share game news.
9. Get rid of multi guild representation.
10. Stop over moderating the forums and also ask for devs to keep rude comments in a private message instead of making not nice responses on the forums.
11. Don’t add gated content. Mmo players are going to find a way to burn thru any content as fast as possible so focus on replay enjoyment.
12. Add world bosses and dungeon bosses that are complex and not something that just spams a one shot at players.
13. Make loot drops also based on area effect healing and support skills. Don’t give glass cannons all the glory for playing the game. If support got as much credit for drops then it would slow down progression and even out demand for crafting mats for dps and support gear.
14. Add a sub option without DR or mail restrictions.
I’ll add more later unless this is merged or deleted or moved etc…

One core flaw in my opinion

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Posted by: Drew.1865

Drew.1865

The OP title is " one core flaw"

then in his post he describes three…
which one IS the core flaw? I still don’t know.

point 1- is his personal opinion, i don’t share this sentiment, i like very much the new dailies.
point 2- yes , agree, I don’t like if they will make more gear thread mil,
if they introduce tier higher than ascended me (and maybe some other people) will look for a different game.
Is it THE core flaw?
nah
there is no subscription to GW2, so if from this change they will be able to sell more boxes, they are fine.

we can talk about it and discuss it even more. but this topic was discussed to death since when? November?

point 3
this is also not true.
the devs are always talking and communicating.
just read the latest four parts interview in gw2guru.
go to the devtracker in these forums.
there is a lot of info here, it just probably not what YOU want to hear.

most of the remaining five pages are just tantrums (‘nerf this class…’ and ‘buff this class….’ are just kindergarten level ), very little posts there are properly articulated and have opinion worth reading.

and i will remind you again…
you are not paying subscription…
just to set the perspective
dragon age cost me more than GW2 and I played it for much less than six months, and it has HUGE amount of bugs… even gamebreaking ones that you had to start all over…

the last patch and what they promised about the next big WWW patch (the Ides of March lol) GW2 tells me that they care about the game and it is going somewhere.

Back to the topic

what is the ONE CORE FLAW?
my unprofessional opinion is trying to get the balance between PVP and PVE at the same time, but failing on both…

in PVE, most of the content can be finished by all classes, but some classes can do it better and faster.
the old ‘warrior, guardian, mesmer’ vs all the rest classism..

in PVP, again: thief and mesmer are considered by the player base kings of PVP.

so Anet are trying to balance both, but for their hard work they receiving flack from both sides of the game.
if they state for example that from now on they will be balancing PVP only. and actually do this.
and although i might not like it, the amount of outrage in the forums will be reduced by half…

Most if not all mmos now are buy to play or free 2 play and they make more money using gambling chests in the TP than they would ever make with a sub.

Not charging a sub doesn’t grant a developer an excuse to ignore criticism from the players nor does it nullify the players feelings about the game.

what to do once bored of leveling?

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Drew.1865

Get a couple people together (doesn’t matter who as long as they are willing to grind ridiculously) and use a killstreak booster. Farm all the mobs in a deserted zone that have bonus exploration experience. The gains should be ridiculous.

You should be grouped so that all it takes is 1 attack to get you credit for a kill. Stack food and potion buffs for experience (you can use both at the same time), then maybe experience booster or various guild bonuses. Holiday food gives 5% more experience than regular food. Consider a food that gives you stats after a kill for obvious reasons. Some salads give you chance at swiftness on kill if you’re looking to move faster to the next mob and can’t maintain sprint easily.

The first time a buddy of mine showed me a killstreak booster, then suddenly used it without warning, there was a bit of adrenaline involved.

That does sound fun! I’ll try that on my engineer :-). thanks for this tip!

Help me out here.
I am a MMO gamer.

I have 1 level 80. I really like WvW but when its populated. My server sometimes is under populated since the server jump was locked.

I dont like Heart Quest. I rather they all get replaced by events honestly.

But I been finding the leveling process pretty slow and boring as well. Not as many players as it was when I first leveled. Some events are really hard when solo and on maybe a more supportive build (which is usually what I do for all my characters since I like playing support in WvW and not coughing over $ for respecs)

I am burnt out on leveling. My Warrior is 61 and it has some of the more dull support skills, as well as skills in general. I put a lot of energy into him, but the elites arent interesting as well. I mostly run with a Sig for an elite. seriously…

I been playing my other alts but cant play long on them without feeling the same burnout. all of them are below 25.
Is there any special leveling paths that is least resistant and most fun?

not really a jumping puzzle person, so thats something I never enjoyed. Nor do I like Gear grinding, which is why I dont really play my main much anymore. I just looking for fun.

Hopefully something Anet does will bring back population to WvW. And maybe someday they give up-scaled WvW characters access to more Trait points and all their skills.

Best thing you can do is find a guild with people you have a lot of fun with and if you still aren’t having fun go play a different game and take a break from this game.

When I read the moderated response in this thread I was a little shocked that an employee of a company would speak to a customer that way and yes if you bought this game that’s what you are.

I think it would have been best to keep that in a private message but even in a message I don’t think the tone was very respectful.

I never played GW but OP I can understand your disappointment in some of the things that Anet has decided to do with their product but unfortunately for us and the players that want to see it be as good as it can be for all the players it is what it is.

I definitely feel like I have gotten the 200 or more dollars I have put into the game out of it but unless they start making better choices with the game I can’t see myself playing the game much longer.

As it is I play just too be able to play a ame with the other people in the small guild I’m in.

AC is great now. People might feel AC is trash now just because they can’t run it now anymore in about 30mins.

The fact is that once they have reworked all the dungeons I can feel they will be quite much more better then. CoF get’s harder and the ones like HotW get’s shorter for sure.

You know they don’t do these dungeons for just money/token farming? They are supposed to be fun right? And AC really is that now…

It’s great if you run it with players that are experienced with the old AC but not fun if you planned on pugging it to meet new players or are going to run it as a level 35

When GW2 starts pushing players to become more like you, something is wrong.

I’m not looking to play GW2 to mentor people or guide them, that’s not my primary goal in game, I like successful and efficient runs as much as anyone else, but that doesn’t mean I want to be party of a dungeon community that kicks inexperienced people, doesn’t help people to learn or try to grow the possible players we can play with.

I want to live in a perfect world with fluffy bunnies and rainbows where everyone treats each other with respect and help each other too.

Too bad that’s not happening.

The best way people in general learn is if the world gives them a rude awakening, otherwise you just promote bad behavior. I’ve learned this long ago after doing exactly what you did for a while.

Seems like you would rather live in a world where players are rude to each other. Well with the changes Anet has made with the dungeon buffs, nerfing loot drops into the ground and join a huge guild or get lost attitude you should fit right in :-)

I like that AC is harder but the changes are obviously there to make the content gated and to hopefully squeeze gems out of new players.

I’m only playing this to hang out with my guildies now and we will all be leaving as soon as another game comes out.

No reason to be in a small guild in this game now so we would have to join one with 100 kids to be able to run the guild content and none of us are wiling to do that.

Oh no, now you might have to actually try a little bit when you farm for stuff in the game.

We should just merge this with the thread kittening about how they can’t abuse the hell out of stealth kits anymore so we can have a concise list of people who only want to put in the absolute minimum and expect everything for it in return.

The problem is you can’t farm stuff in this game anymore with the DR. I think pent/shelt is lame anyway but the reason why people went there is because this game has horrible drops and the debs have made it impossible to craft for profit unless you buy some or all the mats off the TP.

I thought they were supposed to be fun things to do with your guild mates, not a reward for reaching the highest levels of tech trees. Why would you even have to unlock them? Why can’t I just get together with a few guildies and go do a race, or a collaborative puzzle for fun? I don’t need rewards, I just want to do fun things.

The point is to add more grind to a game that is losing players in a saturated market. If you add these missions and the possibility of a precursor dropping you can make lots of money squeezing the smaller guilds to buy gems to convert to gold to buy influence with. This is a business and goal number 1 is to make $$$$

I went into path 2 today for the first time. I have to say that fight was really hard. We do CoE because my husband wants the meteorologist legendary and needs the tokens. I have about a stack from running CoE with him and every group always runs the sub path. We wondered if we would ever see another path.. well today we did and did not complete the dungeon. We tried to do the dodge correctly -and could keep it up for a bit but never completed this fight.

Sure it is L2P and we need to get the mechanics, but how many groups are willing to die while you learn? Not many. Can you honestly say that you did not die after only 5 attempts? Maybe a few players can but for most- I would be willing to bet -need more than 5 trys on this boss to learn it but by that time your group is gone.

Probably will not attempt this path again because honestly I would rather just go through the sub path and know we will finish.

The trick to him is walking out of the tooth circle and saving your dodge for the double circle. Tab target him and focus on the floor the whole time and you can attack him by just having him targeted.

Seriously just practice it sometime and you’ll get the hang of it.

It is getting to the point where I don’t even want to WvW anymore yeah i used to have the skill to kill anyone I was faced with. But now thieves are getting skills that pretty much perma stealths them? no matter how many times i knock them down or keep them on the ground they will just get back up and be in stealth for 10 sec+. This is not how the class is supposed to be played like this I cant even hit them? Yak’s Bend is FULL of them no one is using anything but thieves anymore in WvW on that side. Either have it like WoW’s stealth where there is 1 vanish and perma stealth or have it where you were going with it where they can only be in stealth for just seconds but having both is just rediculous its gettign to the point we need whole groups to take out 1 thief but they end up vanishing and running away not to be seen anyway so please do something about this or you won’t find me in WvW anymore and since PvE isnt established right may full on quit.

If it makes you feel better thieves are useless out of wvw as a class and the only thing worse than the class are the majority of players that play it.

99% of thieves are worthless in a dungeon because they bring the same glass cannon 222222 build and gear into a dungeon and spend most of it downed or dead waiting on a rez.

They aren’t op at all wvw is broken and the class exploits culling.

The best way to get revenge is to not run dungeons with them unless they actually bring some support. Out of all the dungeons I’ve run there have been maybe 3 decent thieves.

For monthes, some European guilds could not play on European servers due to lag/disconnection problems. They had to go on US servers for a while. When A.Net announced that changing servers would cost something we went back on European servers (just a few weeks ago) and started once again the guild XP grind from scratch.

For a small guild, it takes monthes to unlock all the levels. Well, we have been playing for monthes, but due to the poor quality of service we experienced in Europe for monthes, the points of my guild are spread over three servers (two European, one US) and we have only been on our actual server for a month or so.

Creating new content is nice, letting people access it is better! And compensating for your mistakes (aka LAG !!!) and the consequences it had on the guilds would be nice (aka give me my guild points back !!!).

I’ve never understood why so many mmo companies sell their games to Europeans and Aussies when they know there is going to be horrible lag and downtime for maintance is going to affect these players the most.

I know it’s expensive but why not put the EU servers in Europe to begin with lol.

I hate to personally say it, but this might be the time to start a petition to attempt to block this patch.

No… you don’t petition to block new content from dropping. I don’t want big guilds to be excluded from the content too just because small guilds have been… the answer is make our position known, and understood, be willing to discuss it at length until it is… and then act like adults once the “final” decision has been made and deal with it’s consequences on an adult level.

We aren’t 5 year olds… we can certainly deal with an unfavorable turn of events without trying to screw over everyone else for whom it is favorable. At the same time… when decisions have been made, the decision makers need to be given feedback and alerted to dissident opinions… that is the very basis and strength of freedom of speech. “Good” decision makers take this feedback into consideration in the future and incorporate it into more accurate decision making models… even if their decisions continue to press disfavor on a portion of the population affected by them… not all decisions can be favorable to everyone… but everyone should be heard and acknowledged… and their feedback should have weight.

But your also basing this on a democracy, the country might be a democratic society but the gaming world and indeed, on this forums is it really democratic? I’ve already voiced my personal opinion on my FB pages, raptr and here that these changes, if go live will be extremely unhealthy for the game. However, what many people and players need to realized that these changes will affect the game on many different layers, and I think even anet themselves haven’t fully realized the implications of this patch.

For small and even moderately sized guilds, getting influence isn’t nearly as fast as it was at launch. The average guilds have maybe 1 – 20 members online during the day, that is including non-representing members too, so your talking a really low amount of daily influence generated, because once your 80 ~ not many people will be grinding out influence – You don’t earn Influence for completing dungeons etc either and the time to actually research upgrades takes a considerably long time, Your talking 95 hours to go from Art of War III to IV for instance, and 10,000 influence – for a small/medium guild these days, that is a pretty significant amount.

So, the outcome will be members in small PvE or small casual guilds which didn’t invest or couldn’t afford to invest in high level guild upgrades will then either quit or stop representing the small/medium guilds completely, effectively stopping growth and ultimately killing the guild. These alone, obviously is going to be a driving force in people quitting the game.

Totally agree and it is sad.

I don’t understand why anyone wants a legendary. The only thing legendary about them is the grind involved.

Never got anything better than a green, until I just did Vexa’s lab a moment ago and got a rare :P That has to be my new favorite jp, mainly because it’s more about fighting and less about jumping lol.

Agreed that is a really fun jp and glad you got something cool from it.

I have a level 80 guardian and it is sooooooo boring. I would think the warrior would be just as boring and I just finished leveling a ranger to 80 and it’s a fun class. People can say they are useless as much as they like but they usually don’t complain when my pet is rezzing them when they are downed.

Playerbase declining?

The player base is doing the same thing that has happened in every mmo. Players burn through the content and the developer makes bad decisions that drives off more players, they don’t fix bugs and also don’t fix glaringly obvious class balance issues so a large amount of the players leave the game.

This game has a healthy population and tons of content but I’m definitely not a fan of B2P games or F2P mmos with a cash shop after playing this.

I just spent 40 bucks on gems this month and the best way for my opinion to be felt is not to buy anymore gems. I mean I can always run dungeons for easy gold right? ;-)

I can guarantee you not one more penny of my money will be spent on this game if it continues down the path it’s been on since Nov 15 when all this began.

There are way to many good games out there to be loyal to one that doesn’t appreciate ALL of it’s players.

This is such a horrible attitude to have. Specially towards an MMO. First of all, “appreciation” is an internal state. Therefore, a person can appreciate someone else without acting on it. What I can assume you are referring to by “appreciate” is “cater”. You want Anet to cater to ALL of it’s players’ wishes. Can you imagine what a mess of a game that would be? There are so many complains and suggestions about how each and every person would like GW2 to be, that there’s absolutely no way to satisfy every single player.

If I wanted to play an MMO that released content for a large group of players and then exclusive content that required a much higher gear or requirements I would have kept playing World of Restarts or Tortanic.

I want to play a game where all the players can enjoy the content and not a select few. if that means I want to be catered to then sure I expect to be catered too. If I don’t like something why would I continue to support it?

Your view is distorted. The guild missions are available to every player. Some will have to work/wait longer than others (e.g., smaller guilds, and even players not in a guild). Without Anet’s reasoning behind this, all we can do is speculate. There are already some good points on this board. For example, it is possible that they have designed this content to be gated to smaller guilds because of the required world/server space of running too many guild missions at once. I think that’s a good possible explanation. It would be nice if Anet would tell us specifically their reasoning, but I do not believe they owe us any reasoning at all.

Further, given the parameters put forth by Anet, and assuming they are unwilling to change them, you then have to make the decision whether or not the content is worth it for you to continue playing. I would absolutely back you in quitting the game if this game no longer provides you with satisfaction. However, expecting that all content put forth by Anet from now should be specifically available to you is idealistic, unrealistic, and, frankly, quite sophomoric.

Regardless of what I just said, though, I think we should wait a bit more to get more information before making rash decisions.

This might sound sophomoric but I disagree with you and frankly that might seem unrealistic to you but it’s just the way it is ;-)

Guild Missions [merged]

I’m trying to figure out whether it’s the ability to start the event or the merits that are making these 5-people or less guilds angry.

Small guilds want the ability to easily trigger the introductory Bounty missions on their own, as well as gain the merits rewarded for those missions. This is perfectly reasonable as large guilds still have exclusive access to the harder missions which require more people.

I’m assuming that the perk price does not scale. So a larger guild would be able to reduced the WP cost earlier than a smaller guild with less effort.

Assuming that a small group could earn merits at a lower tier, would you be fine if you were only able to lower the WP cost 10% while a larger guild would be able to lower 25% with a higher tier of the perk?

Or would that still be an unfair advantage for the larger guild?

Larger guilds should not be given “better quality” rewards when they already have the ability to produce “higher quantity” of the rewards available.

That’s the view of one person in a small guild.

That would be perfectly reasonable. Small guilds just want to participate using their own means on patch day. That’s what I get out of this thread, anyways.

That’s the view of another.

My view is that it’s not that hard for a dedicated smallish group to accomplish. But that’s just my perspective.

However, I also think that the vast majority of the game can be tackled by a group of 5 or less. Giving open-world content to larger guilds should not be frowned upon, imo. Especially when ANYONE can join in and help with the experience.

And small guilds must realize that some content will take more than 5 people to finish.

I think that the real issue is two fold.

  • The name…Guild Missions. Because they have the word guild in their name, SOME people have assumed, rightly or wrongly, that any guild, from the 2 person husband and wife, to the 400+ person guild, would be able to partake in them.
  • The Merits. People want to be able to achieve 100% of the rewards in game without stepping outside of their comfort zone. It’s not that people will not be able to play through the missions (or parts of the missions). It’s that the reward will be out of reach of that 2 to 5 person guild.

I think this is an incentive to form alliances (wish they were in GW2) with other guilds. But some may think that these are incentives for people to leave for larger guilds.

And imo, wrong or right, if Guild Missions and a reduced WP cost are enough to break apart that tight-knit group that’s been together for years…

But I do respect your opinion. And I’m sure that if you guys speak frequently and with as much passion as you are doing now, ANet will yield.

It’s for everyone! Everyone can participate on them. Everyone can get a reward from them.

Only the guild that starts the missions gets the reward that matters, Guild Merits.

Personal rewards doesn’t matter to you, only guild merits?

If personal rewards was the main concern how many people would be playing this game with the loot nerfs?

Way too much complaining.

Smaller guilds will still be able to participate in this content when another guild with the correct requirements starts a mission. Also, the other missions may have different pre-requirments.

This update brings more focus to all type of guilds. You want your small guild (5ish members) to be able to initiate the content? Then work together as a guild and get the influence.

You’re complaining about people complaining? You must be in one of the big guilds that won’t be affected by this.

Art of War level 5 huh? Well that means if my small guild started working toward it now…. we can join in on all the awesome fun in maybe 2 or 3 months.

It takes you 2-3 months to earn 78g…as an entire guild?

No but it was much easier before drops were nerfed into the ground on nov 15 and before we also found out drops were based on how much damage you were doing to a mob so basically anyone who wasn’t wearing berserker gear was getting kittened out of drops.

Magic find is also kittened which effects how much you can make from drops as well and before you try and say I don’t know what I’m talking about I have 4 level 80’s and 2 of them have exotic jatoro gear and my gaurdian has exotic yakkington’s gear.

This is just one more example of really bad decisions and bad timing on Anet’s part to make a cash grab for gems when all they need to do is add more cosmetic items to the cash shop.

Thankfully there are MANY new mmo titles coming out so Anet’s will have a good reason to stop making bad decisions and stop doing really bad events that are beyond boring and add real content to the game and also:

1. Fix culling and give people more reasons to wvw.
2. Make dungeons more fun instead of doing things like adding 40 more spider adds to the spider boss in AC.
3. Balance the classes and make it so thieves can’t be perma stealthed in wvw. Tone down warrior dps and fix the issues with rangers, necros and engineers.
4. Make fotm part of the rest of the game instead of a grindfest where people have to grind with obnoxious former (insert that game we all know here) players.

And the list goes on……

Here’s a few ways of making 3-4 gold a day taking 1-1.5 hours a day. At that rate, NOT including drops, you will be able to afford the ENTIRE Art of War level in 5 days with a 5 person guild group.

1) AC exp paths 1-3

2) CoF (Path 1>1>2)

3) Tradepost flipping

4) Ori-ore farming in Frostgorge Sound or Orr

5) Material flipping from Mystic Forge (granted, has RNG)

I’m sure there are more ways…but it will take a guild of 5 people 5 days…at 1.5 hours a day.

I happen to really like dungeons but as we all know many people that have left and still in GW2 absolutely detest the dungeons in this game.

I used to do AC every day but it got boring after the 100th run.

They just said the amount of drops was based on the damage we are doing to mobs so I would recommend you go as glass cannon as possible if you want a chance at better drops.

To be honest only Anet really knows.
