You know, nourishment is yet another check for competentness of a person. I like it how it is right now, except some obviously unfair examples(-40% +40% condi duration both of these are insane)
Do people really not care about their home instance? Aww… :-( It could even make a nice series of gem store items, you know.
Can’t see the use for this. I’m going to have cooking and weaponsmith on my MC so I can refresh my supply of sharpening stones and food at will at cheaper price and on-demand. What else could I want? Perhaps refinement of ascended materials(the damask/deldrimor to sell), but that’s two professions for my alt I guess.
It would be nice to have 4 active at the same time though… So I can do everything on one character. But we get only 3 anyways so…
Let’s see… It’s your internet I believe. I just so happen to be playing from two different connections, and on one it’s perfectly fine, on another the kind of thing you described happens. And it has been like that for more than a year for me, so it must it.
Do you think it’s okay for home instance to remain a place to mine your nodes?
RAWR!! I want a real home in GW2.
Well… some people just suck I guess. Not sure why you’d try small-scale PvE with an obviously team-support orientied gear for facing hordes of damaging enemies(such as it is in WvW).
Veterans die in a couple good attacks from my full berserker thief. In full damage spec I can mug-backstab some certain veterans for a 0.1 second kill.
That’s a thing I would really like to see introduced!
Swapping traits on the fly sounds pretty awesome.(We can do that, but it still takes me ~15-20 seconds of swapping time to change gear/weapons/traits)
Yes, this…
Have you seen eternity in-game?
It was polished just to the point of perfection recently. Amazing footsteps, an extra shiny pommel, and new particle effects truly worthy of both sunrise and twilight.
But some people are not satisfied with it – and there’s a lot of them – that’s because they are either light, either dark, and eternity goes against such an idea – they are fine with just sunrise/twilight. And the game has gifted them with an ability to keep their desired Legendary skin and sell off eternity. And that is the true reason behind the eternity pricefall.

Nice letter…
I can only say as an addon: Focus on making features Next Gen / unique.
Drop the weapon CDs already, bring in power management systems to each lass!
Thief? :P
You can have what you like, but let’s not push everyone in the same niche.
<- Plays Male Sylvari(mix of T1-3, nightmare, toxic for a plant look), Male Charr alt.
I honestly can’t get the idea behind going in combat while a part of your boob is hanging out of your human T3 coat. I can only imagine getting that pretty open waist sliced in half by a greatsword <3
But it may be just me… I’m a man after all and can’t understand the idea behind undressing yourself when the goal is to be protected. As things go, fighting in underwear is probably not the brightest idea in my opinion… And skimpy clothes are not much better, really. But to each his own of course, and I respect addition of new male skimpy clothes(and we have enough of skimpy female clothes, I rarely ever get to see a decently clothed female human/norn player).
So let me start off by reminding you of these two specific items providing access to convenient locations:
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Captain%27s_Airship_Pass_
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Royal_Terrace_Pass
As we all know(or should know?), our home instance evolves with progression of our personal story. New characters appear, and it becomes more lively and busier overall.
With the introduction of Living Story updates(and gem store item), we’ve also gotten a possibility to get 6 resource nodes as well as a skill point inside our home instance. And that’s really great in my opinion. Now if I could use a Hearthstone(http://www.wowhead.com/item=6948/hearthstone) to get back to my home instance, it would feel even better! Because right now, a place I go back to craft/shop/do stuff is an airship, which is pretty convenient, but is not really quite related to me in any way. Together with Hearthstone(whatever name should it be), I of course would like more upgrades to be introduced to our home instances, such as:
1. Repair NPC’s/stations(an upgrade probably bought with gold, or rewarded as an achievement for fixing your armor Nth time)
2. Trading Post, same as above.
3. Bank, same as above.
4. General Goods(sickles axes picks kits etc) Merchant, same as above.
5. Mystic Forge, same as above.
6. Crafting stations(an upgrade that has to be crafted after mastering a discipline, perhaps)
7. Aside from those already mentioned, Guild Bank, Activety, Laurel Merchants and Weapon/Armor NPCs(who actually uses those however?) could be introduced.
TL;DR: Your Home Instance becomes an awesome-r version of Airship/Terrace if you are ready to buy upgrades.
Would YOU like your home instance to feel like a welcoming place? Do you agree with the ideas I’ve proposed?
(edited by Evalia.7103)
Be happy that they did not followed my proposal of commitment based rewards
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/wuv/wuv/Give-Bonuses-to-Gold-Silver-League-Servers/3920804
That’s a foolish idea, but what we had was foolish as well.
It stands as a no-brainer to me that Gold league participants should get more than Bronze league participants. In that you are right, and ArenaNet is wrong, who thinks that bronze #1(top 19 server) is better than gold #9(top 9 server) and deserves better rewards.
And then you go ahead full kitten and say to give the first places less tickets per person, which is about just as bad sadly.
But I honestly can’t see that much of a problem. Server ranking should be global from 1-27 and obviously player from server ranked 9 should receive more than a player from server ranked 10, which is currently not the case(WTF?). We already have rewards for individual participation and that’s great. But splitting servers in 3 completely separate leagues, now that was an insane idea. Leagues should be connected with each other and signify another type of reward, such as a different-themed dolyak finisher for instance.
Woohooo just 18 more seasons (19 for me if I don’t get my chest) untill I have all 19 weapons. >_>
That’s assuming your server always gets 300 or more tickets. Some servers aren’t even getting 1 mistforged this season.
I completely forgot about that……. 0_0
Yep, if you bandwagon like the pros to get 500 tickets each season it will only be 12 seasons for a full set. If you stay on a server with a small population relative to the rest of their league and end up in last place though that becomes 29 seasons for a full set. At the current rate of 2 seasons per year that’s 14.5 years, wow!
Ah, right in time for achieving Yak Slapper.
Dont worry they will fix those soon right? 10 months is soon ish?
I don’t think the achievement trouble is any relevant.
If anything I think it’s okay, the best solution however would be to reward a title for slapping 1000 yaks or something. But I don’t see the problem with achievement staying or why it is relevant at all.
The Tournament Rewards will be available on the Battle Historian NPC, located in all of the portal keeps, as of June 3rd.
But why. GW2 continues to surprise me. I really love the game and I even love the living story/new stuff that we constantly get. But why such a cruel thing to do?! I got my tickets and now I feel rather enraged because I’M UNABLE TO CASH THEM IN.
Single. Deadly. Thief. Capping all your bases at night :-)
Nothing feels better than that… Except that I’m not doing it at night, just at the time europe sleeps ^^
Speaking high from SFR position, I can still feel the pain of getting less than 300 tickets… Especially given how little a person can contribute to a server. I’m not going to lie, it’s even possible to solo a keep(especially if it’s a retake from a full-stealth build thief who trails an enemy zerg), however hard it is. In that way, I believe people should be rewarded for individual feats somehow, more so than overall server performance. It’s even more logical given how a EOTM player doesn’t even really contribute. SFR EotM runner or Dragonbrand, both contribute exactly nothing to their war score, and both get completely different rewards.
Not to mention how being “gold” rewards you less than being the best of “bronze”.. It’s funny.
But now that I think of it ~ there has never been a fair system, so can we really complain?
I got tickets when I entered my home instance strangely. Try that maybe it’ll help ^^
FGS ele > reflect mesmer/guardian(where it works for tons of damage) > thief
top 3 places really… thief is the hardest hitter(at least when the target is below 50%, heartseeker spam below 25% is ridiculous DPS however) but also dies quite easily.
3-phantasm mesmer is going below thief… Aside from requiring time to do so(maybe not so much if you use ether signet, however), thief is still out-dpsing when the target gets low.
(edited by Evalia.7103)
I’ve already bought them and I can foresee a nerf coming for sure… ^^ :-[
As to where the nerfs are going to hit, it’s definitely the might duration and the bonus might be changed to 5% instead of 7%.
- If you build stacks underwater and then you get out of it you must lose them.
- If you build stacks on the ground and then enter water you must lose them.
Wow. Care to elaborate?
How about swimming to Bay in WvW or crossing a small river with your group?
Also I’d like to point out that you currently you can cross water surfaces and not lose your stacks, if you don’t dive and stay at the water surface – while you do so all your skills are disabled, however.
It’s not making any sense. You can still stack your bloodlust stacks on your X weapon set and have 2 different sigils on Y different set. At the same time we are not allowed to stack on our weapon Z and then use X and Y without the said sigil. It’s not… Going underwater is just as much of a weapon swap as simply swapping weapons.
So as the whole, there are really only three solutions that are making complete sense:
1. The sigil stacks should be lost upon swapping a weapon, whether doing it on land or underwater(engi – kits, ele – attunements), as well as unequipping the stacking weapon. Stacks would only remain if you had sigil of the same type on your other weapon set.
2. The sigil stacks should only be lost on unequipping the stacking weapon.
3. If you are wielding the weapon that does not have a stacking sigil of the same type as your stacks were, stacks go dormant, but do not vanish. So let’s say I get 25 stacks on weapon X, then swap to weapon Y(or underwater weapon Z). The stacks would go dormant and stop applying their effects. Then when I would swap back to weapon X, the stacks would activate.
I prefer 3rd solution.
I think his explanation regarding the price as a consequence of the rarity of the ingredients involved made a lot of sense. Might not be true for all consumables, but certainly explains some cases.
Demand and rarity are two factors you have to consider, naturally. Because some ingredients are incredibly common, even good food can be cheap, and such is the case with event food made out of zhaitaffies(except for Dragon Revelry Starcake which has extremely limited recipe and requires a lot of ingredients)
… But why are we talking about this once again>? Do you not agree that all level 80 food should be somewhat equal in stat value gain, just like gear is?
Are they possibly tooltip errors? Just a stab in the dark, this game is known for tooltip errors :P
I’ve tried them myself ^^ They’ve worked just as promised and that’s quite sad :P
They’re trash so you can pay 50 copper or 1 or 2 silver for a moderate buff rather than 12 to 15 silver for the non-welfare version/similar type of food.
Just go TP the ones you think are crap, then TP the ones that aren’t.
Some of the crap ones might be expensive anomalies due to whatever special ingredient to cook them.
It’s pretty straightforward.
Is that why the food that is quite straightforwardly better costs 8 times less(2.5 silver for Koi Cake as opposed to 20 for truffle burger)? Your explanation has zero sense whatsoever.
Truly, no one can explain such discrepancy between level 80 food’s stats.
We have a food that gives naught but 50 ferocity(Fire Veggie Chili is horrible without any decent reasoning), as well as food that gives 70 ferocity and 100 power. And both are level 80.
The only thing worse than that is… condition duration food.
There are different foods that provide 15% duration increase to burning/poison/chill respectively, as well as providing 70 regular stat points. Sounds pretty decent huh?
Well there’s also food that gives 70 of the same regular stat points, but ALSO provides 40% condition duration increase. How do we compare 15% increase to a specific type of condition to 40% increase to all of them? … Shouldn’t the increase to all conditions be 10% while to specific – 20%? That would be balanced for once, but right now the food that provides 40% condition duration increase is simply superior to food that provides 15% burning duration increase(and to basically any other food too^^. But relative superiority and absolute superiority are different things)… Well in any case there’s definitely something wrong with it.

Strength isn’t as good for thieves as it is for some other classes that generate might more easily than us. But they’re still pretty amazing.
Hoelbrak were mentioned. The poor man’s Strength, and like strength there are probably better alternatives for thief.
Pack runes were mentioned, as were Scholar.
After those, there are a bunch of alternatives you can try out if you don’t want to be quite so cookie cutter. Eagle, Citadel, Ogre, Rage, probably others. None are as bleeding-edge as Strength or Scholar, but they won’t break your bank and are still effective.
Stop being so narrow-minded. If your build doesn’t generate might, then sure.
But a lot of thieves actually do run at least 15 points in acrobatics for power of intertia. With it alone it is worthwhile to run strength.
Well that’s talking wvw and pvp of course, in pve you probably don’t need acrobatics.
Yes, it’s expensive, and the stat boost on armor is only 5%.
However unattractive this may sound, keep in mind that there are also infusions which are not counted in the aforementioned 5%, and that most stats actually multiply. To put in perspective, going from 2000 power to 4000, from 50% crit chance to 100% and from 200% crit damage to 250% is going to do much more than doubling your damage(before DPH – 3000, after – 10000, 3.(3) times the damage increase) – by getting twice as much power, critical chance and critical damage(because 150 is base, going from 200 to 250 is doubling, yes), we got a massive increase in damage output, beyond tripling it. Same logic applies to defensive stats – of course, Vitality and Healing Power are multiplied on toughness.
As such, full ascended(berserker) gear set will provide a damage advantage of roughly 20% over non-exotic one, and slightly higher defense as well. Same is true of all other sets, of course.
Is it worth it? I don’t know, you’ll have to decide for yourself.
(edited by Evalia.7103)
uh… I’m running shadowstep instead of infiltrator’s signet.
Not instead of agility signet. Shadowstep fulfills similar role to infiltrator, except that you get more freedom of movement as well as extra condi removal/2nd stunbreak all on a longer cooldown, however, and without extra initiative regeneration.
Some decent complaints here.
While I can’t agree with everything and actually am disagreeing with most of multiplayer points(I think you are doing it wrong, and that comes from a top ~1000 pvper), the fact how the content is temporary is mind-boggling.
I Feel so much effort put into the game in those temporary events. But of course Festival of the four winds and crown pavilion will close it’s doors(or fly away), just as many different things did before. It’s saddening to see their own magnificent work going to waste. And all the permanent content that stays here – is indeed coming at a lethargic pace(not surprised given the amount of temporary content), with little more than fractals, EotM and Karka map being added since the release of the game. But what I know for sure that the pace is actually really fast when we talk about Living World events…
So basically a chunk of meat without any real decent damage?
You could at least get some caltrops, I don’t know.
Death Blossom and Poison Field can only get you so far, in my opinion.
And of course sigil of momentum is a poor choice as always – I’ve always wondered who could ever pick 125 toughness over 250 of any other stat(hint: condition damage…)
New 1v1 Arena mode implemented(both PVP and PvE gear, different queues or smth).
Why not? Can’t see a single downside to this and I can find multiple flaws in gem-store dueling flags, open world fighting, PvP 1v1 server dueling and OS dueling(what we have right now). Would be pretty fabulous in my opinion.

Wat. Did I just read that DPS guardian hardcounters a thief? Not the other way around? …. Sure it depends on a builds but I haven’t won a decent(can’t stress that word enough) thief on my DPS Guardian and haven’t lost to one on my thief. But It just could be that I run a different build, 2/0/0/6/6 which is the most popular one nowadays at least amongst the top 1000ish thieves.
You don’t have to always be a ninja. I wear a white coat occasionally like a pro.
So what extra’s do you get for doing a whole new difficulty tier?
As far as I know(http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Fractals_of_the_Mists), you get the same amount of fractal tokens, and it doesn’t seem to reflect any difference or speciality to fractal 50. It even shares daily with 41-49. Could someone explain me the difference?
I can’t say I’m honestly satisfied with all the ideas you guys propose :-)
But it’s only natural it’s going to require thorough work. And I think that off-hand sword is an AWESOME idea.
Celestial seems more worthwhile to me than Soldier is. Your power is sufficiently high in a WvW zerg if you have 20+ might stacks(and leeching stacks, and food, maybe stacking sigil or something else), which I suppose you should in a zerg. With that you’ll hit almost 3000 power even in Celestial Gear. Around that amount Power from Soldier’s start giving out almost as much as precision and ferocity from Celestial do… Except that Celestial has up to 40% more overall stat points. Making it around 20% better, because you are hitting the DPS equality (1 point of power=1 precision=1 ferocity), and Guardians need all other defensive stats INCLUDING healing power, only Condition Damage goes to waste perhaps and that’s why it’s 20% better and not 40%.
Yes, it is worth it. Go for it. I have a Celestial Guardian and he feels just right on the front lines of a huge zerg. I still prefer roaming alone rather than being in a big group(Because I feel I contribute much more this way), but I’m doing that on a thief anyway for obvious reasons.
Is soldier gear required on a thief?
Right, it isn’t. So why should SA be required? Never ran it, and 1v3-4ing quite often.
I only ever go in SA tree to get 100% stealth uptime combination for the sneaks inside enemy towers/keeps and that’s it.Sure you do. ONE necro full staff rotation and your’e dead without SA. How do you cure conditions? Shadowstep? 3 every 50 seconds maybe Lyssa runes? – Horrible nowadays for DPS with ferocity nerf. Pain Response? LOL. 2 Points for Shadows Embrace is MINIMUM for WvW. You like fighting multiple people 1v3/4 who are not brain dead? Need 6 for Rejuv. Thief has weak sustain without SA. But don’t believe me go out there in full berserker and ALL DPS traits. Let me know how it goes
I’m running S/D, got enough condition removal by using Sword #2 when required, shadowstep, pain response, signet of agility and withdraw.
But most importantly, with the amount of evades i’m getting from acrobatics, I don’t get hit by them in the first place. And even if I do, I’m always capable of resetting the fight – and probably even better than a SA thief – by simply running away as fast as possible(even if refuge is on cooldown)
But 2/0/0/6/6 is definitely all DPS traits. Just as you say.
Is soldier gear required on a thief?
Right, it isn’t. So why should SA be required? Never ran it, and 1v3-4ing quite often.
I only ever go in SA tree to get 100% stealth uptime combination for the sneaks inside enemy towers/keeps and that’s it.
Hi everyone!
I am curious about s/d thief in wvw. What is the meta there now in terms of traits, armor, and runes. I am just returning from a 6 month break so I was curious. I was running a 10/0/0/30/30 (2/0/0/6/6 now) build a while ago. Is that still viable? I heard that it is for Spvp.
Thanks!
It’s great both talking wvw and spvp; combine it with strength runes and berserker gear and you’ll see what the hype’s about.
I’d recommend Ogre runes with exotic armor as a cheap alternative to Strength/Ascended by the way.
Now as to the post above, Pack runes are not good in my opinion because you already have a very decent fury uptime and 100% swiftness using steal and dodges.
(edited by Evalia.7103)
Heyo everyone. I’m wondering what kind of lvl 80 trinkets I should be looking for/how to get them? Some people say ascended trinkets aren’t very hard to get, but I don’t even really know where to begin here. All help is appreciated!
To get trinkets, check a WvW laurel vendor. If you have been storing your laurels(you get them for achievement chests and dailies/monthlies), you can probably cash out 25 laurels(+250 wvw badges which you have very likely gotten from achievements) for an amulet, 40 laurels per accessory(and 40 globs of ectoplasm) and 30 per ring. However I suggest playing fractals instead to get rings, and fractals are also a very good way to get an ascended back item of your choice.
With that said, you’ll need 500 in a respective craft line(check online guides, it can be quite pricy but if you know what to craft instead of blindly following them you can level your craft without losing any money) to get yourself a suit of armor or a weapon. As a thief you can’t really go wrong with a Berserker armor set both for PvE and WvW, and even though ascended is very pricy to get, leather armor is a solid chunk cheaper to craft and so is leatherworker to level.
Now while ascended items indeed give a decent stat boost and even more so when infusions are counted in, it’s not as gamebreaking as a player’s skill. You’ll see a ~15% increase in your damage(and ~3% increase in your survivability with defense increase from armor) if you change from full exotic to full ascended berserker with infusions. PLAYER SKILL MATTERS MUCH MORE FOR WVW, AND YOU CAN POLISH IT IN PVP. And if you are only pve, then it doesn’t matter that much either way.
(edited by Evalia.7103)
I keep reading that the thief down state is great (and labeled op by opponents). But it seems to suck on my thief.
The teleport #2 is so short of a distance that half the time when the opponent starts the stomp at the original location it still stomps me after I’ve teleported.
The #3 invis is so slow to become available that I’m stomped before it is available.
What am I missing? What am I doing wrong?
It’s the best downed state for surviving. As many people in this thread pointed out, on an average stomper you get a shadowstep to evade him quite easily for the first time, and if he’s crippled(#1 cripples), chances are you can also interrupt a second stomp with stealth. And no, steal, Infiltrator Signet and all other teleport-stomps are not 100% reliable. It’s more of a gamble who presses first if thief decides to press it at a last possible second.
Now the damage also isn’t half bad really, at least compared to some other’s downed states. It’s not better than a standing person of course, but ha-ha it’s not supposed to be.
the thing is that we actually get a ton of new content in my eyes… But it’s all in vain since it’s temporary in my opinion… It’s really sad. Not that there is a big difference between creating permanent and temporary content, it’s more of a switch on their side whether they want to keep it or not…
… Inertia gives 15 seconds alright, instead of going dodge food which does not stack with vigor you can make a choice inbetween 3 might stacks on heal for 20 seconds base(so 35 seconds with 30 in acro and strength), or generic +40% condition duration which is plain overpowered…
With might on dodge and 25% boon duration from trait line + the 25% might duration from runes and constant switching you can get 25 stacks easy i got 15 alone just using sigils on dummies
You’re probably not going to see those 15 stacks a lot under normal usage. But anyway, it seems about right for optimal circumstances, 9-12 is quite common with Runes and Sigil of Strength, Inertia and the grandmaster SA trait and without the food.
The might on dodge might is only 5 seconds base, according to the wiki, so about 8 seconds on Runes of Strength + Acro (assuming you’d want to abuse this). You’d have to do some math with the +40% regen and +15 return on dodge (about 4 dodges in 10 seconds?), but I estimate it will not cover 10 might stacks, more 4 -5 (3 from food might and 2 from the additional triggers of Inertia).
Btw, I seriously don’t see you getting even 15 stacks of Might without Hidden Assassin, in practical situations. I get around 15 stacks, without the food, with Hidden Assassin, Inertia and Sigils and Runes of Strength. Using P/D about half of those come from Hidden Assassin.
do you even play a thief? You just wrote complete Bullkitten. It’s 15 seconds, not 5; with strength and acrobatics it becomes 15×1.75 = 26.25 seconds of might on dodge.
Then you already open up with 2 energy bars. Permanent Vigor makes it a dodge once every 3.5 seconds(3.5 seconds to get 35 energy), but let’s not forget you’ll also have one(or two) energy sigils, as well as a signet which restores all your endurance on demand. So in combat it won’t be wrong to say that the thief is pressing dodge once per 2.5 seconds, and that would mean around 10 stacks from just dodging.
Strength is great, but I like Ogre too because that dog is just too fabulous, also provides great DPS, you just have to get hit to get the dog though. Most importantly it is cheap. That is the set of runes i’m using together with my exotic armor which i gradually replace with ascended/strength on my thief.
Both of the classes have insane advantage against most of the thief builds. But it also depends on their builds, and obviously on player skills – more often than not I beat an engineer and warriors.
Even the common warrior hambow is more often than not is a matter of dodging.
But Well I’ve seen 0/0/30/30/10 Hammer/GS Valkyrie/Strength/Intelligence (10 in discs for a signet trait) with 2 shouts(FGJ/Shake It Off), signet of stamina/heal/elite signet. Now that was the only spec that I honestly couldn’t EVER beat on my S/D LB thief. He was just sitting at full HP(3K toughness, beyond 1KHP/S regen, tons of condi removals) and I couldn’t do a jack about it, but let’s not forget that he still could nearly one-shot me with his not really 4% critical chance… So if I focused, the duel went on and on for minutes, the difference being that I would die if I not dodge and that he is not going to die not matter what I do. Unlike the regular hambow spec, which is going to die eventually.
I even gave the spec to my warrior friend who literally NEVER presses dodge and basically only does PvE. Voila, now he thinks he’s better than I am at PvP while he’s deer ^^
(edited by Evalia.7103)
Okay so, things you got wrong:
You can level beyond 80 in pvp and acquire bonus chests every time you do so. Similar to pve leveling system, except that you get a chest and not a skillpoint.
WvW farming is actually in a decent spot. NOW don’t hate it on me, because I’m talking from SFR position(#1 WvW server), but we get awesome EotM farms(which should be awesome on all servers imho) and awesome drops in regular WvW too. I can totally feel that it may not be the case on other servers however :P
—-
Besides that I largely agree with everything, showing off your AP, PvE/WvW/PvP Level/Rank sounds like a great idea to me for as long as you include an option to disable it being shown. Accountbound precursor rewards are great too, but that won’t happen – it’s simply too late after what we have right now. Sure if GW2 would suddenly relaunch or have a complete legendary wipe, it would be great. But right now it is just not implementable.
If its p/d then yeah if say rampager. But your build has s/d
Not much of a detailed explanation. I’m still not fully convinced, while this is most likely to be the case, It would be interesting to see what effects would adding a rampager piece cause… Maybe i should check that out myself in a DPS calculator ^^
(edited by Evalia.7103)
What damaging condition are you even applying that make you think rampaged is worth it? All i can see is poison. That means means it would go from 94 DPS to ~200 DPS. But your direct dmg will be much worse. Do you really have to ask if thats worth it?
Poison left aside, there is a possibility of 5 confusion on Steal usage(swap trait), caltrops on dodge and longbow 2(that is a lot of bleeding!) and also I’m sure my poison hits for around 150 in the zerker build(~550 ish condition damage from might food wvw buff).
Just when I was solocapping I got guards above 20 stacks of bleed using a combo of caltrops and longbow 2. And it brought a real lot of both condition damage and direct damage…
Then again I can’t see a player standing in caltrops and getting those stacks.
Sure it was really a no-brainer to get berserker/assassin gear combo before ferocity, but now I’m not quite sure of that.
(edited by Evalia.7103)
And whad do you think about this s/d build for wvw roaming? I put the traveler for the landspeed and playing with stealth (because in wvw stealthless builds are somewhat crappy).
imho Expeditious Dodger coupled with Thrill of the Crime is all swiftness you’ll ever need.
