10k health and one condi clear? I’m sorry but it’s not going to work, man.
Also, 2 of your signets are really bad in power builds (the immob is ok). So Written in Stone will only work with 2 signets.
And as a D/D ele you can’t camp fire, so all your investment in Fire trait line becomes useless.

You have infusions, is this supposed to be a fractal build?

I am not saying turrets are OP or anything, but why is that the reason they can’t be critically hit or have conditions applied to them? Because they can’t receive boons or critically hit themselves?

Because they are objects, not minions. And like many other objects in this game, they can’t be criticaly hit or have conditions applied. Just use a Frost Bow and you are fine. :P

I don’t mind the nerfs, but the elemental glyph elite is broken. It’s not what anet intended so I guess they will eventually fix it. They initially want to help us so we can use it to prioritize spikes or defensive measures like heals and stomps. But the lack of programing capabilities lead to this down fall aka error or bug causing this to interrupt our skill. I’m sure after 3-4 months of intense discussion they will either correct the error, or revert the elite or do nothing and state it was a for seen buff. But I doubt they will ever use three, give it some time guys.

Yes, it should be a cast time for the elemental, not the player. Just like ranger’s pet and necro’s minion.

I’d also suggest to change some skills:
Fire: Swap active skills with Lesser Elemental
Water: Cure condition and increase the radius to 360
Air: Insta-cast
Earth: Replace cripple for weakness (5s)
All: Reduce the time between activation and action.

Dear Anet,
Remove from the map those players who stay dead longer than 30 seconds (in Splintered Coast area only). There’s absolutely no reason to stay dead that long. And 5 minutes to AFKrs before the event starts, reduced to 1 minute once it’s up.

It may happen to other classes and in different dungeons, but I notice this playing as warr in AC.

1. If you swap utilites while the banner is on CD, the other utility will have the same CD, even if it’s CD is lower.

2. For some reason in AC p3, before the boss, I lost the option to swap utilities. It became available after I left the dungeon.

When a skill makes you lose DPS, it usually has some sort of other use or utility purpose by design. Like cone of cold for example, terrible DPS loss, but it heals.
Not a very good heal, but it heals, the notion is there.

And why isn’t a CC PBAoE a good reason to use the skill?
You can gather mobs spread around to burst them in a corner, you can remove 3 statcks of Defiance, pull the mobs away from a NPC, etc.

Just play with both.
I have eight characters, and the least one has 150h (8th, ranger), while the most played has 300h (5th, warrior). If wasn’t the time between the creation, they would have almost the same time played. All professions are fun.

I don’t know what are you talking about, only a few mobs can evade.

But Imo the casting could pull enemies in the area towards you, like a 80-120 units pull per second, and unblockable. Cast time is the same.
Pretty much the same effect the champ in Statuary has.

it most likely hasn’t changed from the last post about it, Mesmers might seem very popular but that goes away and people move in Waves from class to class.

it’s probably a close tie between Engineers and Mesmer still.

these are the two classes who do the most work for a lesser or equal reward / result as the other classes.

Oddly enough, engineer is the cheapest class to try new builds, eg. SD to condi.
Leather armor, and up to 2 weapons.

Two options:

1) Use good, but not ideal cheaper sigils/runes in karma/wvw gear
2) Avoid buying karma/wvw gear if you care about using decent sigils/runes
Stop being cheap and buy the crafted version of the gear you are after if you want to use good sigils/runes. I mean, if you want to use 10g rune/sigils, why can’t you buy 5-6g exotics to put them in?

Karma/WvW tokens are largely worthless, it’s been that way since day 1 and little has changed. At least you can get a different variety of gear stats now, it used to be total junk except for some soldier gear.

So you’re saying that because they are worthless, we shouldn’t use? Why not give the proper attention to the topic em let Anet know that we want this gear to be useful?

I’ve been complaining about this for a year, 2 bank tabs full of WvW gear with sigils that I put in, but still no answer about it.

English isn’t my main language, so i’m not sure if I can explain it better.

Warrior: Sw/Sw – Axe/Wh(this weapon has on swap sigil)
Necro: D/Wh – Axe/Focus(this weapon has on swap sigil)

Warrior: Sw/Sw -> Axe/Wh(sigil procs) 5s later -> Sw/Sw (sigil cd is at 5s) 5s later -> Axe/Wh(sigil procs again)
Necro: D/Wh -> Axe/Focus(sigil procs) 10s later -> D/Wh (sigil is ready) 10s later -> Axe/Focus (sigil procs again)

That’s what I meant.

Axe #1 and #2 should be a cone cleave (90-120°) in front of the necromancer, up to 3 targets within 600 range.

The thing is I can swap from GS to Axe/Mace, get the Battle effect, go to GS and when I’m back to A/M, the sigil procs again.
As necro, Dagger/WH to Axe/Focus procs the Sigil of Battle, 10s later I swap to Dagger/WH, and while I’m using this weapon set, the Sigil of Battle is ready, but not being used.

Blood is kinda half of Leeching.
And I do swap weapon sets, what I hate about on-swap sigils is that you need 1 of them on each weapon set to have the same efficiency as you have with Warr (3pts in Discipline), Ele and Engy (at least one kit) using only one of it. Therefore, I usually opt for permanent, on kill and on crit sigils.

I think anet should make the GM Foot in the Grave a perma stability while in Death Shroud, now that we can interact. Something like 1s stab every 1s, so it can’t be fully converted or stole.

IMO Steal should become a Utility skill, and his F1 would be Stealth.

- A 10s stealth duration with 15s cooldown, insta-cast. No need of Reveal anymore.

- 6 points in Trickery will give you +30% (3s) duration and one of the GM traits +20% (2s) and Daze on the first hit. Summing up to 15s duration, which means thieves would be able to roam around perma-stealth, but not be able to stealth every 4s in combat.

- Steal and Stealth skills/traits should be reworked.

Or nerf the celestial amulet and keep the problem in PvP where it should be addressed since in WWW/PvE those are not a thing.

Exactly, those PvP player can have everything for free, and still want to complain and kitten up who has to craft this stuff.
If it’s so good, play with it and shut up.

With the individual CD for each attunement this trait is a good replacement for EA. But the boons could be improved a little:
Fire: Retaliation (5s)
Air: Fury (8s)
Earth: Protection (3s)
Water: Vigor (5s)

And while you are there, please change Arcane Precision:
> With 10% chance on crit:
Fire: Blind (3s)
Water: Chill (1.5s)
Air: Weakness (3s)
Earth: Cripple (3s)

Staff has auto attack heal, nuff said.

If you want to heal yourself, D/D with Evasive arcana, heal signet, healing power 1k+, dwayna/water runes.
If you want to heal other players, staff with Arcane blast, healing power 800+, dwayna/water runes, and the Water XIII trait.

No, i’m not mad or anything like that. I’ve been playing this game for more than one year. And I also do that, usually as thief, but warriors and eles can be very annoying.

Imo it’s too easy to do that. Run into the circle, evade knockbacks, and wait for someone shows up to help, if you can’t kill em by yourself. Even if you die denying a tower or keep, it’s totally worth. And one player after another can hold a circle for minutes!

But if you guys think it would promote more blobs than WvW already has, then it may not be a good idea.

Pre-patch I delayed a few times a camp/tower as S/D thief for more than 20s. Thats enough time for a backup group.

I think that a group that destroyed the wall, killed 5-10 guards shouldn’t have their objective kittened up by a single enemy that simply run faster than the rest of his zerg.

And as group, I mean 2-4 players, not that ridiculous 15 man guild groups in high tier servers.

In WvW single players shouldn’t be able to completely deny a capture. It’s very common someone jump into the circle when its about 15% to complete, and run around, jumping, evading, while their whole zerg come to stomp our small roaming group.

I was thinking and came with a good solution IMO: If one player stays inside the capture circle, the capture rate is decreased by 50%, if two players stays there, 75%, three would be 87,5%, and keep reducing the remaining rate for each player by 50%. Which means 5+ players would be able to practically deny (96,8%) a capture, but wouldn’t be so easy for only one do that.

What do you guys think?

2 possibilities. Either it’s bugged, which is possible, or it’s part of a larger chain and the last part of that chain. Not all event chains are up at all times. I can’t say because I don’t know, but you can check the wiki.

Even then the info might not be right because many changes were made to starting areas recently.

“Have you tried leveling up so that you are massively overleveled for the area, and then talking with him? That might help.”

Anet dumbed down the game, but it wasn’t enough. :P

This discussion is pointless. The change didn’t affect the damage output, only DPS. RF had worst DPS than auto attack, so it was only used to track stealth thieves/mesmers, and to apply Vulnerability to big mobs.
Now that rangers have a decent weapon #2 everyone thinks it should be nerfed, seriously?

Any tips for a warrior? Not got to her yet. Just did deadeye this morning. But not had time to do the next one.

Basically you keep shooting arrows during the 1st fase to get swiftness and strafe left-right to avoid her Necrotic Grasp auto attack.

For the second fase use LB until she is ~40% and lure her away from the illusions, then swap to melee set, pop Charge (clear cripple), Shake it off (clear weakness), Berserker Stance (to avoid more weakness) and Call to Arms (reduced damage to you) then auto-attack, Eviscerate at ~10%.

It worked for me. Hope it helps you.

I killed Subject 7 as Minionmancer. They do good damage, life transfer and create a barrier to protect me.
And because the Axe and Dagger dont have cleave, i don’t need to worry about killing the adds accidentaly.

It’s not bugged. Subject 7 was changed since last year.

Personally I found the meat for Chomper/Strugar too hard to see on the ground so I just didn’t bother with it (I don’t care about those achievements) and killed them both straight-out with no problems.

I don’t even try it for the same reason, its really hard to find the meat on the ground.

It seems like you guys mist my point entirely.

I wasn’t complaining about either class specifically.

But if you have two Zerker builds that can’t kill each other because of insane sustain from various traits then something is pretty broken. I can understand stalemates when you have two Bunkers duking it out, but Berserkers? I don’t think that’s ok.

Thats actually called balanced, if you both specced for defensive skills (and no a full zerk warrior doesnt get adrenal which btw is quite a op trait for its low requirement) and duked it out, properly using skills, you were probably of equal skill and thus in a tie.

This. You ain’t no zerker, bro. Traits, and not gear define a “build”. You’re a confused defensive warrior with wannabe gear. The guardian was likely the same.

BERzerker is for the equipment, not the traits.

6/6/0/0/2 – GS – Axe/Mace (PvE)
6/2/0/0/6 – GS – Rifle (WvW)
0/2/6/2/4 – Hammer – Axe/Shield (PvP)
All three builds are zerker, doesn’t matter which traits they pick.

Sword is good against hard bosses, mostly because of the block, but the Rip damage is also great.
Mace is a reasonable option againt trash mobs, but if you don’t care about Dual Wielding/Agility traits, warhorn is better in this situations.

For sigils I have Energy and Battle, respectively.

I also run this spec, zerker weapons and trinkets, soldier armor with Melandru runes.

Sword – Energy
Shield – Hydromancy (makes easier to land Final Thrust or Savage Leap away)

Hammer – Fire and Accuracy (you can use anything else)
