If anything, I’d recommend it for SCAR lane only. That’s the lane that is most prone to DPS failure. It is because the thumper automatically breaks Gerent’s bar, making the standard tactic no-cc max DPS quite a bit harder.

That’s because people do not listen, go melee and die. I had this great cmd asking for ranged DPS only in SCAR lane for almost 2 hours. We finished with 5 min left, and ogres 3 min later.

It happened to me in Tangled Depths. I was barely moving, it kept turning off immediately. I think it start to happen after I came out of the water.
Fixed after swapping to Shiro and cast Impossible Odds.

What locks my AB map completion is the Story Mode. I don’t want to play that crap, make the area explorable to anyone with Exalted Markings.

Rune alternative for Strength?

I am doing PvE and I mostly PUG, I’m almost never over 90% health I’m generally hovering around 60%. I was considering rage runes, or hoelbrak, or something else that’s servicable until I (one day maybe) get rich =D

Scholar is only good if you have more than one set, or only pick Rev to play in Dungeons/Fractals/Raids.
I’ve been playing with Hoelbrak runes in the maguuma jungle and it’s great so far.

Dagger off-hand is a condition weapon. Stick with Focus or Warhorn if you’re playing with mighty/strong/berserker gear.

It’s working as intended. Remember it has a 5 sec internal cooldown, and 300ish HP isn’t much. Also, it only procs with skills that spend energy, Facet upkeeps and their follow up skill don’t proc this trait.

No, I’m comparing two heavy armor classes and their respective ranged weapons to Revenant, the third heavy armor class, and his respective ranged weapon.

Except every skill on the hammer is clearly designed for heavy ranged damage.. Giving it a leap would only hurt the weapon, not help it.

You ever need to reposition with a movement skill?

What’s the movement skill on Warrior’s LB/Rifle? Or Guardian’s Staff/Scepter?

Wow that is surprising. They should definitely make all legends work underwater.

Not really, many professions lack underwater skills. It’s fine do not have Ventari and Jalis, but Glint is all about auras.

Nature, Light, Darkness and Strength active skills can be used underwater already. Elements could be tweaked to be like Necro’s trident #5 (Frozen Abyss), and Chaos to be more like Necro’s death shroud #3 (Wave of Fear)

Can someone explain the Mistward armor to me?

You can find them in Hero panel > Achievments > Collections > Specializations
The crafted armors you need are Scale (iron/wool), Gladiator (steel/cotton) and Barbaric (mithril/silk). Every other item required has a tooltip.

With the recent update, Facets are having the same bug Impossible Odds does. As you can see in the images below, the upkeep skill is deactivated when I find a new area within the same map.

And yet, you’d be perfectly fine with them changing the trait to 60 seconds? Guess you don’t use that one, huh? Who cares if other people like it?

That is for consistency. Most skills like that have either 60 or 90 seconds cooldown. We got Eye for an Eye with 45 sec, which is weird, but Roy probably did that because he took our 3s protection from the other trait.

20 energy is 40% of the average energy bar. That’s enough to compensate lower cooldowns.

I agree with the increase of the passive trait though, it actually should be around 60s to be fair.

My main characters are Warrior, Elementalist and Engineer. Playing without swiftness has been a pain. I’m still 60 points away from Facet of Elements.

But I actually enjoyed Jalis a lot more than during beta. The Vengeful Hammers kept me alive in many situations.

Full Berserker build.
Rune of Strength: 2556 power + 114% crit damage = 5469
Rune of Rage: 2381 power + 125% crit damage = 5357

Considering you can’t crit higher level mobs (81+) very often, neither objects like doors, power Runes are the best option. Best option for dungeons would be Scholar, but I doubt you can keep above 90% health in the Maguuma Jungle.
The only downside of Strength runes is that in a group with might stackers, your might duration has no effect. You also waste 10% might duration with Facet of Nature.

I don’t care about skins, I want to be a Herald. How many points does that cost? Also do you only need the first tier to unlock the spec along with using a shield?

The first minor that unlocks Glint and Shield apparently costs 60 HP, and a whole core specialization cost 60 , so if you do not pick at least one of them, you can unlock the Elite.

But I don’t know how many skills a legend has at the start. I think it’s only the heal, so it doesn’t really matter if you have 60 HP left, because you need about 100 more for the utilities.

Few changes could improve the usability of this weapon:

- Reduce the cost of Shackling Wave to 5 energy, and allow this skill to be used without a target.
- Increase the attack range of Grasping Shadow to 170.

It’s funny, when people were discussing the possibility to move during Crystal Hibernation, “everyone” said sword off-hand is the best option. We didn’t get movement on shield #5, but suddenly sword OH is not good enough. What changed?

On a side note, Precision strike is in a great spot, don’t forget that we have Chill as a themed slow (instead of Cripple), but this condition is a lot more stronger because it also affects cooldowns.

I have the strafe keys, Q and E, bind to A and D. Does it work as it’s supposed to in action camera? If I start to Rapid fire a mob on my left, pressing D to strafe to the direction I was moving, does the character face the mob?

The argument Anet has made that it has huge implications in pvp due to stickiness is moot. The chain absolutely needs to be streamlined with every other MH sword.

An animation-locked auto chain has no part in this game.

The stickiness argument doesn’t even makes sense. The leap is so neglectable that if you had the option to move forward while auto-attacking, wouldn’t notice any difference.

Our staff animation is a new one. Thieves have been complaining about their staff 3 auto because Daredevil is a martial art, not a supernatural magical class like Revenant.

I like most of Jalis skills, the only problem is that we haven’t found any hard content that requires him. And he lacks mobility for WvW content.

Soothing Stone is ok, remove 3 conditions + 6 seconds of Retal is very strong.
Forced Engagement is fine with the reduced energy cost.
Vengeful Hammer does it’s job, but again, the lack of difficult content makes it uncecessary.

Inspiring Reinforcement, it was suggested before to make this skill a charge, and build the road behind your character. This would give Jalis some mobility, and increase the Stability duration to 3 sec with 1 sec interval. Give 1 stack of stab on cast as well.

Rite of the Great Dwarf doen’t need Resistance, that’s a Mallyx boon. I’d like if they round the cast time to 1 sec, the same as Jade Winds.

Scary how much net worth my Revenant has even before its creation, though. Full ascended armor, most ascended weapons, plus some seriously expensive skins unlocked – including Jormag’s Breath just in case the fractal sword doesn’t fit enough. Oh boy!

Yeah, right? After Warrior, Elementalist and Engineer he is the class I spent most gold on, and I haven’t played him yet. lol
I’m very excited for this new profession.

Hammer will benefit more from ascended stats, because the skills have higher coefficient. But Staff is a great weapon, and you should have both in your inventory.

Well that is good to know. I have a question though. I assume you are going to insta 80 then start the personal story, but how do you unlock the ability to get the mastery so you can jump into the old content and start earning exp from step one? I assume we are going to have to get a character to do the little story part and enter the Hot map?

That is a good point. At day 1, we will have to wayport to Rata Sum (I’ll create an Asura though ), make our way through the Metrica, Brisban Lands and Silverwastes to start playing in the new area.
And I hope we won’t need the level 80 story to play the expansion one.

At most you end up with 104% crit chance with all available buffs. Once you lose spotter or the warrior’s banner, then you’re under 100%.

Is full berserker optimal? Yes and no. No if you can GUARANTEE a ranger AND a warrior in your group at all times. Yes if you can’t.

But you don’t have to aim for 100% in a solo situation, because no other class can have 2760 power AND have 100% crit chance. (unless the warrior uses more signets than usual)

Cavalier has toughness as primary stat, so you can exclude it from a ‘zerker’ build.

I’m aiming for 45% crit chance (45 + 40 (Roiling Mist) + 8 (Warrior Banner) + 7 (Ranger Spotter), so I’ll have Valkyrie Helm, and Zerk+Valk Amulet and Accessories.

Yes, PvE and WvW later. I think Invocation has a lot of utility with condi clear, stun break and dmg modifiers. Devastation adds even more damage, and Herald the access to Glint, Shield, and even more damage. Then when I unlock Retruibution line I’ll start playing in WvW.

So which specializations are you going to be giving up to unlock Herald, pal? Seeing how Data-Mining suggests you need 170 to unlock skills and traits, and you need 398 to unlock everything on the base profession.

Don’t forget Revenant provides buffs at 600 range. With raids requiring more movement, Ele/Warriors won’t be able to keep 5 players with 25 might and perma fury.

I don’t think anyone is even remotely as excited or involved with the class as I am, but I would instantly give up on the entire class if we get some variation of the horrible Ranger sword autoattacks.

I had the same issue when trying to activate 3 facets with 1 sec apart from each other. I notice that Elements and Light work the way they’re supposed to, but if you add Darkness or Strength the SE effect doesn’t double. I didn’t try with Chaos, but maybe the Utility (7, 8 and 9) share the boon application. If that is the case, Roy should take a look at because it’s definitely a bug.

The number of mastery points required for each tier is listed below the upgrade button, the area to the right is completely unnecessary and the misalignment looks ridiculous.

    Amazing legend but useless in the future meta if it’s so much inferior to Druid. In a scale from 1 to 10, where 1 is full zerker warrior, in terms of healing Ventari is 5, Druid is 11. There is almost no point in using it.
    It’s harder to use then Druid, heals less, does less boons (unless you give up healing to go into Dragon stance). Roy said that Druid is burst healing and Ventari is sustained, how when Celestial Avatar has no cooldown and can be loaded in less then 3 seconds? Druid makes healer Rev/Ele/Guardian something to laugh at. They’ll never be meta.

Staff is broken. Try with LB or Sword, it takes one minute to fill the Celestial bar.

It doesn’t if you upkeep the F2 passive. But I like it, only hope they remove the blue area, make it transparent.

Remember you have to activate it before using Impossible Odds. It’s not possible to have both active at the same time.

I believe that’s the whole point of the class. When you swap you have to assume a new stance, not replace “1” for “one”. The way you say seems like you want to play as Ventari, not Revenant.
