What’s with reviving this old as kitten thread? :/
Used to be able to drop turret, overcharge to clear condi and small heal and pick up again, all without stopping. Can’t do this anymore since the time between drop and overcharge has been increased.
As long as you aren’t a zero damage scrapper like we always see, we won’t laugh. We will probably even accept you!

Probably. Me and a friend were on zerk thieves a long time ago in eotm south tower. A 60 man zerg was trying to take it from the north. Just the two of us wiped them by spamming cluster bomb from the top of the wall; I kitten you not… :/

I only ran rifle. Fared far better against nearly everything than with hammer. And a yes to your last question, but only from personal experience.

revealed (and auto-reveal after bs) is stealths nerf. Prior to that it was backstab vanish backstab vanish spam, and it was disgusting.
So, question for the masses who are asking for the revert – what if rather than a 1s cooldown, the backstab skill switched to autoattack for 1s? Then you can still autoattack if you desire, but it won’t be a backstab. Encourages sound tactics, penalizes spammers, but still allows for cleave when the situation dictates? It’ll drive many people even more bonkers than the current implementation, because it will actively punish them for not knowing their timing, as opposed to penalizing them but giving them an opportunity to still utilize their stealth.
If it can’t be reverted, I am for this.
First of all, know that Anet are the ones who made such a good spec. Now look at the fact that they’re doing it again. There is no real reason so far relating to having more than 1 elite spec, that suggests that they will make it better or worse.

Again it’s a consistency issue, they stated that they didn’t want channeled skills on Tev to track in stealth so why should all the others?

as for myself I’m contemplating returning to gw2 I have a 80 guardian and elementalist and a 42 Mesmer. I never got into much of the pvp or anything mostly just did map completion and a little bit of the zerging in wvw,
I’m trying to find a class I can play mostly solo to small scale stuff zerg I just found boring to be a part of. I want to be hard to kill but be able to actually kill people aswel.
ive also been on the fense to play gw2 again and or elder scrolls online.

You need to bait one endure and proc the second. Get the opening strike, preferably a good backstab and sink as much damage as you can. Once it starts to react, 90% of the time that reaction will be to endure into their counter. Back off. No point in wasting effort until it wears off. Procing the second should be straight forward. Get a nice strong hit in and you should be able to proc it. If not, back up again and keep distance, but know that you will need to shorten the time between your next attack.
Once second procs, back off and don’t waste unnecessary effort. After that, it’s a cake walk. Rinse and repeat.

Just personal experience. Forsake any defensive traits and learn to live without them.
Mine is more of a preference to have more control over what a turret does than less.

I’d personally prefer if the HT alone had the change revoked. Not too often I need to use tool belt skill over turret. :/

Only thing I use it for is arching over wall pillories to hit siege. That’s about it.
Not very happy that HT can’t have 15 sec CD anymore.
At work so will need to try patch out later…HT will go on longer cooldown if it’s exploded. Overloading doesn’t effect cooldowns. You can still pick it up.

You have to remember that WvW didn’t fit into the scope of the last expansion. We need to wait for the next one. That’s when Anet will deliver us to Valhalla.
Majority of the time, you get the best results by having people in your guild play what they are best at.

People keep reminiscing about the good old days where there were so many people playing wvw and ramping up the server lag. That was near the game’s release. We are 5 years (5 years) down the line now and people say it’s dying? It is simply (5 years) the life-cycle of a game. To me the only kitten thing here is when you get a bad match-up and it’s (5 years) dead for a week. Oh well (5 years), it’ll change in a short while. :/

Wait for Holosmith. Bolt is a hell of a lot better than most legendary weapons.
In pve it’s really not worth the trait. The only time I use it is in wvw when I am trying to hit individual moving targets. In this case, the velocity increase is extremely helpful as well as the radius increase.
I am 99% sure it will be a power main-hand weapon (sword if you believe the picture that was leaked) for the same reason stated above. Engineer’s only main-hand weapon is a condition weapon and its off-hand weapons are condition and a self-support weapon. Engineer’s only power weapons are both dual-wielded. It makes sense that they would want to make a power main to complement shield (with a buff hopefully).
I exclusively use rifle… :/
But a thing I hated about the hammer was that #3 couldn’t really be used as a move skill because it just stops you dead in your tracks. In case some don’t know, if you activate hammer #3 and swap to a kit immediately, you can hit the weapon swap key back to hammer to cancel the after-cast and continue the forward momentum.
From what was leaked, I think we may be getting something similar to conjured weapons. I just wonder how they will differ from the ele ones.
