I have no idea what you’re talking about Swc, but poor show Unlimited Mana :/
Have some respect for one another guys, we’re only mortal enemies!
Death From Above is fine. I’m constantly swapping between that, Great Fortitude, and Dual Wielding depending on the scenario in WvW.
As CMstorm said, it would be broken easily if each leap skill knocked down 5 people (is it 5?).
Offhand axe is highly unpopular. I can’t say with certainty if this is due to the weapon needed some polish OR people not coming up with good builds for it.
Having reflection on it would be nice, but I’d rather see something like the 100Blades final hit on it, because right now it seems like a melee range Volley (albeit with more individual hits so a higher chance for more critical damage). Also, whirl finisher- useful or useless?
No need to make a fresh thread.
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/professions/warrior/Defiant-Stance-discussion/first#post3330858
It is situational- you should use it when you’re being hit XD
Seriously though, consider this : Defiant Stance will be doing 2 things at once. It’s going to be healing you AND negating damage.
It’s interesting, could combo with Retaliation. I’ll reserve judgement until I see how it scales with healing power, but I’ll definitely experiment with it!
Anvil game up yo! this is a newbie mistakes…
“Aim for norn guardian! He’s commander!”
Hahaha! I love how Norn heavies are so often commanders. As it should be!
Good fights tonight, I managed to wrangle three of my friends to jump in for (more or less) the first time and they had a blast.
Kaineng, your BL got pretty torn up out there, let’s see that comeback!
Thanks to everyone for the good fights, and especially my fellow yak hunters (those of you from DR and GoM who were cool enough to share yaks kills with me were especially awesome)!
Love my dolyak, yes I do!
Love my dolyak, how ’bout you?
It’ll be interesting to see if we (AR) can keep our presence strong into the next season. We’ve made some good changes with the server wide teamspeak and communication in general. I think the key for us will be keeping WvWers morale up even when we’re on the downswing (we’re obviously on an upswing and that morale boost is a big factor in our current success).
Keep showing the new players the ropes, hook em while they’re young!
Great fights all, let’s finish strong!
We decided to beat Morpheus down and take both pills. Looks like this rabbit hole is leading us to first place.
I suggest that Warrior Banners be given an F1 ability that creates a combo field that relates to the banner’s specific function.
I came to the the conclusion that AR doesn’t have many skilled players, do they? They will fight when its a 2v1 and run with their buddy dies!
Blanket statements, OUR ONLY WEAKNESS!!
D:
A burst skill that ground casts the banner to a new position sounds like a good start to me. Also, whoever said Powerful Banners is only hitting for 200- that’s really low. I’ve hit around 1k with it before.
I agree that the rifle still won’t see much play post-patch. While Crack Shot is nice in that it allows you to hit multiple opponents with high damage skills like Volley or Killshot, you have to play such awkward angles to actually get the damage to go where you want it to. It’s too cumbersome to be effective.
Currently there are many Warriors who abuse a sort of ‘stun-lock’ build. This has lead to people feeling the entire Warrior class is OP and broken. They also say Healing Signet is too powerful. I have only one piece of advice for you in regards to people PMing you angry messages:
“SHAKE IT OFF!”
its simply removing an build and pushing us to condi spec or full tank.
Something is deemed too powerful, it’s changed, people start using something else. You can follow the train or you can do your own thing and not just throw your build in the toilet over a balance patch.
Interesting idea. I would love to see more ways to synergize with other players. Thinking of how this could work technically, I would suppose it could be similar to the trait Empower Allies, but instead of a direct buff it would provide the first 1/2 of a combo.
FC, it was a good fight at Hills tonight! And kitten whoever launched me off the bridge XD
If I understand correctly you’re asking if movement breaks the auto-attack chain so that Triple Chop doesn’t happen. As far as I know that isn’t the case, but I haven’t tested it in particular. Try chasing someone while hitting them and check the combat log afterwards (although the combat log isn’t super reliable).
I haven’t heard it discussed by developers yet.
HoD, yo mamma so stupid she thought Plant Standard was a diet!
The underlying problem, of course, is the awful reward system in WvW.
Warrior with Warbanner. Nothing feels cooler than rez’ing 5 of your downed comrades at once.
I suggest that the casting distance on Banners be increased.
The increase should be enough so that a Warrior may cast the banner while running, pick up the banner, and keep running. Currently the Warrior has to stop moving for a moment after casting a Banner, otherwise they’ll run right past it.
This would be a nice little quality of life adjustment for Banner users.
’Tis a trivial matter. Await yon “nerfs” and, verily, continue to show thy foe what for!
NOOOOOOOOOOORN!
We don’t need game mechanics for something communication can solve. These people need to up their communication game!
After an intense sitting contest we decided to enjoy the view for a while…
I would think so Juba!
Ambrecombe, you bring up a good point about Burst Mastery. Looking at the Adrenal Reserves trait on the wiki page it states that the adrenaline refunded was about 1.5 bars. With Burst Mastery we regain 1 bar.
Burst Mastery’s tooltip states we gain 15 Adrenaline, however we only gain 10. As such this will fix the broken tooltip. Whether or not it should refund 15 like Adrenal Reserves did is another issue, a very tangled one considering all the changes revolving around Burst Mastery and the Discipline tree.
… Make me consider playing around with the rifle again.
Yeah, anything you want + shouts.
How much damage is lost from the 3% decrease? It seems minor to me.
This is another post that clearly shows that people don’t know their class and game mechanisms nor the powers they are using and how to use them. it’s then a l2p issue that 90% of GW2 population has. Instead of improving they will always keep asking for nerf when they at first don’t even know the mechanisms… Pro XD
^kitten.
As for the OP, yeah I noticed this too. When you use the Warhorn near PvE mobs as you’re crossing the vast lands of WvW you get slowed down to combat speed for a bit.
I agree with Taku’s assessment.
30 something. I regret every WvW ability point I’ve spent too!
Communication hurts overall WvW more than any “bad” players could. I’d love to see a message board system in-place (maybe it could be a perk of Guild Claiming?) and have thought about this before. You could give new players a little welcome and advice even if they’re too shy to speak up.
Commander tools definitely need to be improved and I assume that it’s being looked into.
I noticed skill lag for the first time in a long time when I played last night. It sucked.
Yes, it is awesome!
Meh, I destroy all my ascended crafting mats because I don’t craft.
I have never done the WvW JP, and probably never will. There are plenty of ways for me to complete my WvW seasonal though, so it’s no big deal to me.
I’m with Ultrajoe on banner-javelins.
I’m gonna give shout warrior a go for the first time with the Magi set I’ve been compiling.
Not too many changes for my playstyle to consider with this patch other than whether I bring Empower Allies or not.
NOOOOOOOOOOORN!
Meh, we’ll see what the full patch notes are.
Which is what precisely?
https://www.guildwars2.com/en/news/preseason-sale-world-transfers/
Transfers to Medium population servers will be free, and transfers to High population servers will be discounted.
Too bad these discounts aren’t able to be based off of WvW population…
It’s a terrible shout for boss fights. Bosses have 1/2 vuln duration, so in a normal dungeon build you get 10 stacks for 3.5 seconds. On a long cool down. Whoop de doo. The only time I use it is for Lupicus to make sure we have 25 stacks on him for the Feedback. Otherwise it’s rubbish.
Meh, I focus on Vulnerability, so I can see why just OMM seems bad to you.
I mainly use it in group fights to stack Vulnerability. Rifle #4, Volley, swap weapons, Axe#2, smash away as each crit has the chance to apply Vulnerability. Also, Opportunist trait works well for keeping WvW players from getting into keeps to defend.
It’s a great shout for boss fights.
