Why Map Content Doesn't Last...

Weapon skins, armour skins, glider skins, etc. all belong in the maps and away from the Gem Store. If this requires us to pay a bit more for Gem Store items, I think it wouldn’t be that bad. The fact is: You can put Black Lion Weapons on the Gem Store, but there needs to be a set for each new map, to keep the maps populated, alongside having well-made maps and meta events.

So how should they earn money? The alternative to selling skins for real money is selling power-advantages, like special items that permanently increase the damage of the weapon they are applied to. I dont think people prefer this.

Assuming they need the current output on skins for the gemstore to maintain the game, getting more skins as map-rewards means more work for them and they probably dont have the ressources to do so for ls-episodes.

I was just going to point out this same thing. Selling gems is major income for Anet, even when you personally can buy them for in game gold. It still means someone has payed for them with real money. LS content is given out for free.

Making all the skins and available for grinding in the same map to get piles of account bound map currency just means players are forced to redo the same map many-many times over even if you do not enjoy doing it. It means you can no play the game in a way you like, and would end up players leaving the game. It does not make the game more interesting or fun, the maps more replayable, it just forces to grind.

I would much rather see all the account bound map currencies removed from the game and a lot more items made sellable through TP.

There are quite a lot of smaller guilds in WvW. In PvE guilds provide very little benefit as open world is either easily soloable or requires hundreds of players same time in same map.

The game runs fine, does not disconnect at all, I have no lag except with large map-wide battles in WvW which can not be avoided (has nothing to do with DirectX version or game engine).

If you constantly get bad fps and serious lag you may want to check your own PC and uninstall all those other programs draining power from system components. Or turn down all those overclocks you do not need, that only make your machine unstable and overheating.

I don’t know about not reportable, it would depend. If someone is using an alt account to pull the tactics right before their zerg on their main account attacks that objective, then it is giving them an unfair advantage over most players. This is against the ToS.

If you only play one hour once a week you probably want to ignore dailies and do what you enjoy doing most.

There are crafting station in larger towns where you can learn crafting profession, these are required to be maxed out to create ascended rarity items. However, it takes lots of time and gold to max and if getting best possible gear is not your ultimate goal you can ignore crafting.

Events are getting boring - changes in PoF?

FogLeg.9354

Obviously the LS3 metas were of a lighter variety because it takes a lot of work to pull off the big ones.

LS3 maps are “filler” maps that’s why their meta events are lighter. I don’t expect expansion maps to be like living world maps at all.

Not true at all.

LS2 maps, Dry Top and Silverwastes are exactly half-way between core Tyria maps and HoT. The enemies are already more difficult and have new mechanics never explained before. There are timed map-wide meta events, and even coordination of several groups to finish. HoT simply went further the same path.

Now, if you compare HoT areas and LS3, is is already clear that most hated features of HoT were abandoned (thankfully!) and much of the stuff that players disliked was toned down. Most LS3 maps are really very similar to core areas.

Next, we had PoF preview, which was honestly just slightly more polished version of LS3. There is no reason to believe PoF will suddenly spike up difficulty or completely change map design or event system half-way through the expansion. LS2 did not. HoT did not. LS3 did not. The preview area is suppose to be where people get their first impression of the full expansion. HoT for example does not change at all between the spot you first enter the Verdant Brink and far corner of Dragon Stand.

Finally, it makes sense to offer 2 products that are designed for different playerbase, instead of just keep pushing updates to the same players over and over while completely ignoring everyone else. Nowhere in PoF preview or the announcements have I seen or felt it to be “upgraded HoT”, quite the opposite.

Only developers know for sure how often does the server population update but my bet is once/twice per month. There should be a reason why some server starts to lose players suddenly, and that usually involves losing matches and dropping down tiers, which takes time.

It contributes to NOTHING but the “fun” of the individual players participating in it.

My previous reply already covered your last comments, which were longer this time, but still exactly same.

But this one really sums up your problem – look, this is a game, people ONLY play this for fun. You look at the game as hard work with set goals you must fulfill, and I don’t actually care if you want to ruin your life worrying about nonsense, as long you do not start to pressure other players do the same. What you are doing is sucking the FUN part out of the GAME and leave it only with obligations and timetables, spreadsheets and retirement plans. When actually people want to get away from all that.

You see the objectives in WvW as the ultimate goals, the reason it even exist. I only see them as excuse to find enemies, fight them, laugh and enjoy.

But go ahead, if you think this is what trolls do whole day, then sure

So I’m returning as well and am coming from wow and this thread is great. However I’m still trying to wrap my head around what kind of goals can exist at endgame. In wow the drive is gearing to progress through new content, but if gear doesn’t change, what’s the goal? Does new content come regularly? Is it exploration? Is it pvp?

The endgame can be different for each player. You can still spend extreme amount of time on better gear, just new gear is not giving you any better stats, it simply looks different. Same time, there are players who play just PvP or WvW.

As about new content, HoT expansions was released 2 years ago, and we get next expansion soon. During these 2 years Living World Season 3 gave several new maps and continued the story, and while you must own HoT to play these, you are not actually required to gear up from one map to have any chance fighting in next.

The links are not a good thing for WvW.

Never have been.

Never will be.

For the small servers linking is better then having nobody to fight. I have been in T9 where enemy server had 10 players, and not same time in one map, but total over the week. That is totally pointless and just means everyone quits the game eventually.

At least with linked matches we have someone to fight.

FogLeg.9354

ah, sorry about the confusion.

This is what normally is called PvP in GW2:
https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Structured_PvP
You join matches, you earn reward, get ranked and can win tournaments. Once you enter PvP lobby all your normal gear is replaced with standard PvP gear. Everyone gets same gear, no matter what you use in PvE. You do not have to grind anything for PvP gear, this is automatically assigned to you and everyone else, and you do not upgrade it.

Now, you can also fight other players in WvW
https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/World_versus_World
which is separate gamemode and usually involves large scale battles between groups of players but can be also happen at 1v1 or anything in between. In WvW everyone uses their normal PvE gear, so it is possible to fight someone who has the best possible equipment while you are lower quality gear. This is the gamemode where having better PvE gear can be actually useful. It is also obviously about numbers too, if one side has 10 and other side 30 players then fight is usually won by larger group.

People playing WvW a lot can go to the extremes for having “all the best gear”, demanding exact stat combination, and this can be extremely grindy. They also tend to change their stats, weapons, traits and such every time game is patched and skills/traits get updated.

Hope this helped

1. None of the Crafting disciplines is super important in GW2. You can buy stuff you want from Trading Post so it is not required to be cook or run around hungry. These professions only matter if/when you start to gather up the best gear/stuff. The Ascended rarity gear is all account bound and you need to max specific profession to create it, so for example to get ascended sword you would need weaponsmith maxed.

2. PvE is fine. GW2 uses megaserver system which means new instances of each PvE map are created dynamically when more players pop in. It means even in low level maps there are always some payers, tho obviously latest maps are always more populated.

Also, I am not sure what is your definition of PvE. I only do open world maps, but there are also instanced group content like dungeons (abandoned for couple years), fractals (like dungeons but they get more difficult as you redo them) and raids (kind of elite dungeons).

3. Everyone has same gear in PvP. Exotic rarity gear is fine usually to run around, they aint that costly and can be bought easily from Trading Post. You need to invest time and gold to get very best gear – ascended. In theory Legendary gear is even higher rarity but it has same stats as ascended, just with more effects and stats can be changed more easily.

4. Megaserver, see above. For PvE or PvP server has no importance. It only matters if you want to go to fight in WvW. Even in WvW, I doubt it matters that much.

5. You can play the game for free in most maps, but to access newer level 80 maps you need to buy Heart of Thorns expansion. It also unlocks gliding, new elite specs and more possible gear. Notice that next expansion will be released within month.

Story missions too unfair for solo players

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Posted by: FogLeg.9354

FogLeg.9354

I completed the full LS3 story during last weeks with my minion master necro and with my guardian. Did everything solo and first time without spoilers so I had no idea what to expect.

I don’t like boss fights at all, not in GW2, not in any game. They are always too repetitive and take too long, halfway through I get bored. Yeah, I did that already once, twice, why I have to do it 20 times? Just because it goes on forever, does not make the battle more interesting. There is also a problem of GW2 story episodes being too long and having too many steps before the final boss.

Now, LS3 bosses each had special mechanic you MUST do. It is not something you can ignore and attack normally. It is required. It is also not always very clear what you are suppose to do when fight starts, I had to read/look up hints and tips for several boss fights. Yet, the fights itself were not too difficult. Annoying, yes. Too long, certainly. But not specially challenging once the “special thing” is clear.

One thing that might help is to prepare tankier char with lots of healing. LS3 bosses really do not care about your dps, they are more about not getting hit and using the mechanics each boss teached you. I would also strongly suggest remapping that “special action” key to something more usable and keep prepared to whack it constantly.

I was actually pleasantly surprised with LS3 story fights, as I normally am so bad at these but all were completely soloable with first attempt. Getting all the achievements would obviously require a group, but that is to be expected.

The real problem are the players who have extremely narrow view of WvW, and constantly try to force their own interpretation to every other player. Boons could be offset by changes in base stats. Pulse 10 stacks of might every 10 seconds, but reduce power and condition damage by 300. The effective stats would be the same, but stripping the boons would have a very real effect.

What is with people trying to ruin the game everyone else enjoys? Does it actually makes you feel bad when other are having fun?

There is no need to make open world PvE more difficult because it is not suppose to be. If you just want to challenge yourself, go crazy with fractals or raids or whatever those things are I never bother with. Or go solo champs in the HoT region, the expansion that was made for those who find core Tyria too easy already.

Just leave the other parts of the game alone.

PvE enemies update

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Posted by: FogLeg.9354

FogLeg.9354

The problem I have with every suggestion about “making the game more difficult to everyone else” is that not all players have played the game for 5 years straight, have the best possible gear and fine-tuned builds. There are still players who use blues or greens in core Tyria, they find those same enemies quite a challenge.

Again, to clarify, the game is easy for YOU, but your solution is to make it more difficult to EVERYONE.

And now, the challenge for you to try. Remove all your legendary gear, and only use white rarity. Fight without weapon like proper hero. Make sure no traits are selected. This way, the enemies you find too easy will be more challenging to YOU while everyone else is not affected.

Also the HoT was so horrible disaster because some bored players kept posting “more difficulty” in the forum. For whatever reason Anet listened, instead of looking at the players who were happily playing the game.

there was one time on SEA/OCX prime i encountered a similar person who frequently trolls and activates all the activatable tactivators, what i did was call is name on map chat and ask him to assist me to build trebs around Stonemist… he met me at the top floor of the castle i was surprised he helped me build the trebs (my mind at that moment is how to figure out how to push this guy from the top of the castle lol)
i assigned him one specific task, to treb all the tower around SMC while i scout the tower he was trebbing, everytime he successfully opened a wall and captured a tower i thank him on map chat to acknowledge his work, he seemed silent everytime i thank him while everybody reads it…. i dunno what happened to him
but it seems my server lived happily ever after…

Lesson learned:
-you don’t have to be a commander to gather people around and follow you
-you don’t have to be War Council god to tell people what to do
-you just have to be a player who can delete what you want to delete ingame without crying at the forums

Thanks, loved this

Or players who follows a Commander, only to purposely die to rally enemy downed players in fights.

You first have to prove they died on purpose, and not because they are just bad staying alive or because they were trying out new build first time or because they forgot to equip armor.

Basically, you can not punish players for being bad, not knowing what exactly “tactivator” is or when is “correct” time to do anything. Just because you or someone else is shouting in the map chat does not mean whatever you say is correct and everyone has to do it. In EU servers many players do not even speak English so it makes no sense to keep shouting at them.

This is a game, players must have a chance to try stuff. If something can be pulled, they should pull it, just to see what it does. The server is not your private playground with made up rules everyone else has to follow.

Yes, there are those who spy on server, and waste supplies and try to ruin the game for everyone. I have seen those players too, and they are annoying. Should anything do about this? Nah.

Maybe everything they posted was fun for them. Fun is subjective after all.

Isn’t that part of the problem with these legendaries? In the end, every player MUST do exactly same things, does not matter if these are the things they enjoy doing or not.

If you can buy it from TP, then you could still play the game doing whatever you like, gathering up gold. Sure, it is pricey, and takes time, but you spend the time doing what you like.

disable gliding in combat

in WvW

Posted by: FogLeg.9354

FogLeg.9354

Gliding effects the way fighting is done in WvW. The immersion of zergs fighting in a tower/keep with players able to either glide into a fight or away takes away from many aspects of WvW.

Yes, the gliding has effect on fighting. It makes it better, it makes WvW more fun. It should of been added when HoT was released.

WvW is not like PvE where if some may like or some dont they can do other things. Like if you are a PvE players you could be a raider, a map completionist, Ap hunter, skins collector, a farmer etc etc etc.

If you play in WvW you are there to WvW and thats it, Anet keeps bringing in PvE ideals into WvW without giving them the WvW spin on it.

Well, no. There are multiple ways to play in WvW too. You could play for the score, take objectives and defend towers. Or you could be in WvW for the excitement of large scale PvP. Both sides have existed from the beginning and are equally important. Some players just tend to be more interested in one, and keep complaining why so many other players play the WvW in “wrong” way.

There is also no universal “WvW fight”. Fights in WvW could be anything from 1v1 duel, to small groups to guilds clashing up to multi-way-zergs. There is no way to balance every class, skill or item in the game so every possible situation can be covered. And there is no need either, as I explained already, in WvW things will balance out eventually itself. Overusing one build will create counterbuilds.

For instance new upgrades or choices for keeps or towers, new weapons or defense/sustain/offensive tactics.

I think they tried that with HoT and desert maps. Shield generators. Jumping pads, Fire-spitting lava pools. Oasis. Thing is… I am still not sure these make WvW any better. Mostly these are simply ignored, and if used, very rarely have they real effect.

With a new Guild Hall that requires thousands of gold for WvW upgrades, you would think Anet would have given WvW something, instead they split the community again with gliding and in the future mounts.

hm…

I don’t like the way Guild Hall was implemented. It was way too grindy and required too many materials from specific PvE maps. And, in the end, I don’t even think it has much point in WvW. I dunno, it feels sort of waste to me.

Is the gliding (and possible addition of mounts) splitting WvW community? I don’t see it. Gliding is not required in WvW, it may give you some small shortcut at certain situation, but I have yet to see it being abused to the point where players without it are seriously hampered down. Then again, I do expect anyone who plays WvW constantly, have gliding unlocked. Not because it allows you to glide, but because of elite specs HoT also brings. So, the way I see it, gliding is just the little extra you so far had unlocked anyway but was unable to use in WvW.

As about the mounts, we are clearly both speculating. All we had was small preview of one part of PoF map. we do not know if mounts will be available in WvW. Or if they will provide same speed boost they did in PvE. Or have other special abilities (high jump, hovering etc) unlocked in WvW. Why I am not worried about mounts myself is the simple reason that they were not usable in fights. You were able to move faster, and find fights faster but you had no boost in actual fight. Which would be really nice in WvW too.

I also do not think PoF will be such a “must buy” for WvW players as the HoT was. Again, we will have to wait and see, but the features so far were more of “nice but you can actually play without it”.

HOT ruined WvW by introducing new specs that were not meant for zerg fighting.

There is so much wrong in this sentence, I have trouble even understanding if it is ment to be serious.

Look, the game is not designed for wvw only. There are multiple different gamemodes and new expansion with new skills and mechanics will need to cover all of these. Even further, zerg fighting is optional part of the wvw, something players choose to do, it would be incredibly stupid from developers to start to design WHOLE game around zerg vs zerg battles.

The ability to apply condi repeatedly over and over in sec forced certain zerg comps and then epi necro came into play. Also the nerfing on certain skills made them less useful in PvE and PvP such as rifle warrior.

Players will adapt. There has never been one single build or class that can not be beaten (or if there has, it has been nerfed/fixed eventually). If the changes happen, and one class/build becomes stronger or weaker, then the opponents will notice it and start to run counter-builds and pick classes that work well against dominant enemy.

Would you seriously wish the game would have no changes at all during several years just so everyone can stick to their prefered class/build in zerg vs zerg fights? No, people would get increadibly bored very fast and start to leave because nothing changes. Changes are good, changes keep the game fresh and push players to try new things.

Maybe the rifle warrior was just too good and required the nerf. It is not like with HoT every warrior has to quit WvW forever.

HOT also ruined things by not allowing WvW players to play the new specs without doing PvE.

This I agree. When the HoT launched wvw had very little rewards overall, some have been added by now, like the ability to finish Hero Points. I still don’t think any player should be able to complete new elites without ANY PvE.

WvW players did not want this and PvE players pushed for the new BL map that Anet made for WvW. WvW players wanted the ability to fight on different plains, attack structures differently and be able to have more choke points in fights.

First of, PvE players do not care about WvW. Most do not even know WvW exist, so they most certainly do not ask for different WvW maps. The WvW players were so bored on the same map they asked for new ones. All the things you mention were added to the Desert BL map. The map was just not properly finished, and some features were badly balanced.

But now, after some fixes and changes, it is fine. Nobody cares anymore which map they go to. And there still is no flood of PvE players on the desert BL maps, because they still do not care about WvW.

Gliding literally takes away many things the real WvW players wanted.

No it doesnt.

And you starting to sound creepy already. Who are those “real” WvW players you talking about? Are they some sort of secret gathering in the well hidden cellar with hundreds of computers where the “real” WvW players from all over the world will have the chance to play the game the way it is meant to? Do you also share handshake and certificate?

And the others who play WvW, they are what? Unreal? Surreal? Imaginary?

Sorry, but your personal opinion is just that. I respect that you have opinion even when I do not agree with you. But you are not talking for anyone else.

World Population and Score-a Proposal

in WvW

Posted by: FogLeg.9354

FogLeg.9354

It is not just about number of wvw players. The score is ticking 24h, and some servers are able to cover this timeframe much better even with less players.

During the rush hour you can have many times more players compared to the opponents but maps are limited and queues will prevent extra people joining.

So, the population is not everything. There is also matter of defining “active wvw player”. Everyone has different opinion about what counts as active. Someone who spends 5 hours in wvw every day? Logs into wvw for at least 5 minutes? Couple times a week? Once a month?

Finally, there is huge number of players who do not go to wvw for the win and do not care about the score. They are doing it for fun. They are looking for fights only, either zerg vs zerg or group vs group or even 1v1. Taking or defending an objective is just a excuse for more fights.

What the OP proposes, if I understand it correctly, would end up creating hostile attitude against anyone else joining the wvw. “Oh, no, look at this player who just dared to pop into wvw, he is completely ruining our score, go away you nobb!”

I could see Firebrand with Tomes and Mantras supporting allies from behind. Only, then the Axe is pointless. If you, however, stick with Axe, you probably need to avoid Mantras (and Tomes).

Which is sad, because I liked the class in preview weekend.

Yes PvE did not “crumble” in your words but WvW and PvP did.

Yes, but if you want to argue about how horribly wrong gliding in WvW is, you should also notice that when HoT was released, you were not able to glide in WvW. And yet, WvW suffered. So it was NOT the gliding that hurt WvW.

They created desert BL maps for HoT clearly gliding in mind, and yet, refused to add gliding into WvW when releasing HoT. Why? I dunno, but it was the reason desert maps were so badly received.

And how would exactly mounts “ruin” the WvW? If you want to argue about that too, we can make another topic for it or go on in this.

Please next start the next thread with " Mounts in WvW" when enough people ask for it and Anet tries to do it because they cater to the " If you WvW, you probably PvE" mentality, so bring on the mounts!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sure, I would probably love the mounts in WvW. They required literally 1 minute to unlock in the preview zone, you were not able to mount while fighting (tho you were able to to start the fight with mount attack skill) and they provided nice speed boost. I see no reason for mounts to be excluded from WvW based on that.

Gliding works exactly same in WvW as it does in PvE. You CAN use gliding while in fight to run away from monsters, you should be able to same in WvW. There are even boss battles that require to use gliding. Did PvE decline and crumble because of such horrible decisions? Nah, it’s fine.

gliding doesnt so you always have access to your exit strategy

Yes, so?

You still have not explained why it bothers you so much. Are you complaining because you have not bought HoT and unlocked gliding yourself? Are you finding it annoying because you can’t be bothered to take any zones to your server control, instead of ganking people whole day? If you had control of the zone the fight is in, you too could use gliding when starting to lose the fight.

Crafting the newer Legendaries

Read their post again. They’re talking about collections with HOPE being the one they’re specifically speaking about.

You’re not understanding the context behind my post and changing what I said to include more than what was intended.

We can keep arguing about the context as long as you want, and point each other for not understanding the purpose of this thead

I will provide you with the context, once again.

1 – The thread is called “Crafting the newer Legendaries”.

2 – The very first line in the thread is:

Is it just me or is the time sync to build one of these obscene? I don’t expect it to be easy but for us family folk dumping a few hundred hours for one item is a big ask.

Clearly the OP is talking about HoT legendaries, and how much time it takes to get one. NOT specifically just the collection aspect.

3 – Which you replied:

I did all of them over the course of a few days. They’re not that much of a time sink that you’re making them out to be.

Again, clearly you were also talking about HoT legendaries, and claiming you did ALL of them within few days.

4 – And again:

An entire legendary can be completed within 60 hours if you have the gold for everything and/or completed the time-gated crafting.

No, you are still talking abotu creating each HoT legendary under 60 hours. Which is totally untrue even when we discard the cost of gold and time-gated materials.

For whatever reason you still do not want to admit that creating HoT legendary takes long time, unless you have spent last 2 years farming the HoT maps every day. All this time you spent is still counting as required to craft legendary, just because you had done so much before deciding to craft legendary does not make it disappear.

Instead of starting to accuse others again for not understanding the purpose of this thread, answer this, but honestly – how long would it take for fresh level 80 player, without gold and any materials entering HoT zone very first time, to fully craft legendary. We assume the person has a life outside the game, so 2-3 hours per day, is not part of huge guild that does regular raids/fractals/bosses, and has never been in WvW.

Please Don't Forget Underwater Exploration

Why players hate underwater combat and why it has abandoned is not about being lazy or not being able to fix skills. It has several problems:

1. It is in 3D, unlike rest of the game which is still basically set out on the flat surface. people find free-3D environments confusing and annoying because in real life you also stand on flat surface. It is near impossible to keep an eye on your back under water since you can be attacked from so many directions. The games that do these 3D fights rely heavily on specially designed controls and UI elements to help the player, none of which GW2 has because it is designed for different purpose.

2. There is no ground targeting. It means any skills that would normally apply the effect at certain spot on the land is useless. Any AoE skill needs to pop around the player/target (the bubble) or appear at set distance, and it is very difficult to correctly measure distance under water. Is the enemy far away? Is it too close? These are easy on the land but near impossible in such 3D space.

3. The movement is slow, even slower then normal fights. And you can not dodge. Pretty much every fight on the land requires dodging. Since there are no ground, there are no damage circles, so you can not avoid being hit.

It is no different from thieves stealthing and mesmers blinking, people are losing and trying to get away from the fight. Gliding works fine atm, it provides extra safe way out same way you could run and hide in tower that your server controls.

There is no point fighting to the bitter end and dying.

Read the OP’s posts as you’re taking my post out of context. They’re talking about the collections being so time consuming.

I would suggest you do the same.

OP is complaining about the time it takes to craft HoT legendaries, while you insist it takes no time at all once you already have gathered everything required to create one.

The actual time to get one of the HoT legendaries would involve maxing all the HoT masteries first, finishing all the HoT maps, getting tons of materials from each maps etcetc. Just because you had done all this before does not make the grind disappear for those who have not done any of these, and have no intention to do any of these for any other reason, just to finish off legendary. It is still all part of the process.

You claim it is very easy once all the difficult parts are done, and I agree, yet the problem is doing all those difficult and time consuming parts. Which you repeatedly want to avoid noticing.

Best PvP/Raid/WvW Class?

I only do WvW from that list, so in WvW you have a mix of Guardians, Eles, Necros, Revenants, Mesmers and Necros. You would need HoT and elite spec for most, not sure if you have bought and finished HoT already. All of these classes are good in group, yet they usually fit into different role.

Getting LvL 80 Trinkets

FogLeg.9354

the problem is i have not played much WvW and am only part of a small guild, 4 of us frequently come on and are lvl 80, so thats slightly difficult.

There is no need for big WvW guild. Normally all servers run public zerg with commander tag in WvW which anyone can join. Or if you want to scout, you can upgrade towers, repair cannons, check if anything gets tagged and call for help if needed.

Both ways are available for anyone, you do not need top-notch build or gear for these.

Just got ascended ring from chest today after playing few hours, had to salvage it as I got pile of those already. You can also get ascended armor and weapon chests, but these are more rare.

An entire legendary can be completed within 60 hours if you have the gold for everything and/or completed the time-gated crafting.

Every single legendary can be crafted within 10 minutes if you have prepared all the required materials before. So it literally takes no time at all!

Following same logic – this new car I bought, I just had some money in my bank account, so it was completely free!

Looks like fine proposal to me. It is not a feature I absolutely need myself, as I have already used to carrying around 2 sets of gear, but with more elite specs and more stats incoming with PoF I can see this to be useful feature.

Plus, I think it is already working in the game, whenever you enter WvW the game knows your WvW build. They just need to make it activate on button press instead of WvW enter.

[Feedback] and questions to the PoF Scourge

However, alone with the extension of the “in fight” used keys to F1-F5 it becomes more difficult to handle and to get used to it. Fight rotations are more complex and heavily depends on the fight dynamics, if the target is moving on, you’ll need to adjust the sand shadows for optimized fight. To me, this is just not fun to play, compared to the easy use of the shroud. (therefore see my suggestions in the first post)

I don’t find that part a problem myself. The game should reward more complex skill rotation with stronger class. So, Scourge is more difficult to handle but can be stronger if you can pull it off successfully. That actually sounds like it is well designed class.

Of course what is too complex and too much trouble is different for each player. I do not like to play some classes because there is too much going on for me to have fun, yet other players find those same classes amazing. Same way, Scourge may not be for everyone, but it does not mean the class needs fixing.
