In WvW guild groups, it’s not rare to have 2 minutes or more of swiftness du to the easier access to boon duration.
The rule is actually something like you have 5 stacks of speed, each with its own duration. So at some point you actually don’t gain more of that boon.

This is a real public service announcement.
When you run trash in TA, equip a staff. When you prepare to fight, equip a real weapon.
But no worries, I like you. It’s because you’re here that I receive so many (too many actually) compliments about being a zerk guard with sword+focus, greatsword and hammer.
Go to your inventory, on top-right, there’s a drop-down. Click it. Now click “show rarity”.
Now you have no excuse. You will see it’s orange, you won’t click on it.
I don’t know, when it comes to go around barriers, people are limitless!
Plus, if the person/people going out is/are the video recorder(s), we have no way to control what goes on in the instance at that moment! But this is for the restricted ones. For the exploiting ones, I don’t care. But not seeing what happens during a restricted run may make it not valid without us knowing and let us think it’s valid.
I would change the first rule 12 of the restricted dungeon records (there are two rules 12) to “No player may leave the instance once a run has begun.”
As it is, you allow people to retrait while in the run.
Also, non gameplay gemstore boosters should be allowed (Magic Find, for instance) for both types of run.
For dungeon runs, retraiting would be a time loss
It’s a door open to exploits.

Guesting takes what… 2 clicks?
Yup.
You can’t read, can you?
It’s been one month we cannot do the Claw of Jormag event because it’s bugged. Can you please reboot our server or do whatever is needed to fix that event?
This is a request to the development team so please no comments about “just guest” or “can’t you wait for Tuesday’s patch”. I already guest and I can wait, but it’s pretty annoying to have to guest just to get this done!
Yes, pretty obvious, but some people just look at the chart without thinking.
Of course they work. But the wording says “if you have a class that has teleport, go ahead”. Doesn’t say a thing about if you have them ready.
I’m not complaining about being a guardian and being excluded from that, no. I simply say that the wording is poor and should be more explicit.
Thanks Yargesh for the explanation. I would have been really surprised if ArenaNet fixed the core issues linked to this tool, which are the abuse and the limitation to 3 posts in a limited amount of time.
“So many heavy classes…”?
There are only 2. Is that too many? Should warriors be the only ones allowed to use it? Or maybe should guardians? Well, I suggest that both warriors and guardians be disallowed to use it, except if they’re Asura, because you don’t see an Asura’s armor anyways.
The diagram is flawed.
You say “does your class have a teleport?”
Well, I main a guardian and yes my class has a teleport. Even 3. Yet none of them equipped when I have a FGS in hand. But good! I can use the FGS anyways!
Therefore your diagram should state: “do you have a teleport utility skill equipped?”
I just read the news that says the LFG tool is being disabled. I made some basic browsing to find the reason; no search, given that that tool is also bugged. I found no information at all.
So why is this tool disabled? Did ArenaNet provide any more information?
They don’t speak about a bug or abuse but rather an “issue”. I find this strange.
I’m not asking for work-around, but rather a fix. Shouts should not force me in combat mode, no matter what option I may or may not have.
Currently if you’re near an enemy (red) or a neutral creature (yellow) and you use a shout, you will try to attack that creature. This is an annoying behavior that is annoying when you barely can pass some creatures as you can go in combat. Going in combat is quite annoying for my scenario.
Except for the lore, I see no reason to have my character try to make hit to a creature.
The same should be applied to warriors’ shouts.

Well, I suppose they could investigate the account and maybe find the goldseller behind this (you know… follow the money )
Also, I’m saying “I think” because I don’t want to give a real statement in case I’m wrong. But I’m 99% sure he tried.
The guy is already blocked now and of course I did not send him anything. I told him he would get more gold if he sent it using the TP; he provided no explanation about why he did not want. The only thing he got from me is one hour (meaning that if he’s a pro-scammer, he’ll have lost one hour too. But thanks, I’ll use the support in the links below.
Hello,
I’m sure someone tried to scam me by trying to sell me a precursor using /w. The price was not even half of the TP price. He went to amounts of gold as low as 50g that I send before and the rest afterwards. I did not accept that as well, asking for the item first. But he used every catch phrase a scammer would use. Also, he had a character level 2, 86 achi points, etc.
Given all that dubious information, I strongly think he tried to scam me.
I screenshot the conversation and would like to send it to ArenaNet for a review of that account if that’s possible. So what can I do and how do I do it?
Thanks!
If you have the funds, as you say, buy The Anomaly on the TP. It’s much cheaper than the cost of the mats used to make it, plus you don’t have to spend your skill points. This means more money you can put in your ascended focus on which you will put your The Anomaly afterwards.
READ: Selling AC p3, first boss down, 5g.
Warrior OP! Nerf warrior!
Also you can “rename” your friends. What I do is that when I add someone from a dungeon, I describe in a few words the context.
Yes, that seems to fit better. I dunno what others think of it, but as a watcher I’m more impressed by a fastest run under “legit rules” than under “any rules”.
Other idea: use the term “full legit run” instead of full run, to be able to remove a run a posteriori that uses an exploit.
For the “full legit run”, I’d remove the racial skills, just like we don’t have those in PvP.
edit: ok, you just edited.
I’m not a speed runner, but I’d feel the system is flawed if “light” exploits are accepted in the “full run”. I call light exploits the possibility to skip CoE’s doors, for instances which impacts only one member of the party, but not all. ArenaNet already proved they don’t want this kind of actions as they removed the possibility for thieves to do so in the past. Now some other classes can do similar actions, but the intent of ArenaNet is clearly they shouldn’t. Also, Jumping Puzzles like TA’s should be removed from that category.
Why do such a distinction? Because people who do it actually know it’s borderline (often on the wrong side of the line) and because the “full run” will be a race that can go through time where runs with exploits (even minors) cannot be matched again. If you want world records to be a challenge over time, this is the kind of actions needed.
Another possibility is to describe the exact parcour for each path with checkpoints like “the whole party must wait for the door to naturally open”. Then if eles/mesmers want to port behind it while the door is open at 1%, let them do so.
“What should I do if my group kicks me for my build?”
- Could you elaborate on the profession as well? In this case, build and profession are distinct things, but the result/actions are identical.
- Could you also specify whether this happens before the run has started or after? If it’s before the dungeon has started, it’s still be acceptable (bad, but acceptable). If the dungeon has started, it’s griefing.
Also, I think we often have these complaints about the following topics, maybe we should address them here:
- Asking before the run starts if it’s ok to switch characters at the end of the dungeon.
- Leaving the instance while being the owner is a kind of grief (until it’s fixed). You addressed this, but you ask only “what can I do?” after it’s done, you do not insist on preventing it.

Also, some people see in their dungeon master achievement that there are 4 paths (5 for Arah). These include the story.
Indeed, now apparently killing Kholer is the norm. Maybe not as easily as shown in the video, but you get the idea.
So… Scarlet will have woken him up? Am I on the right tracks?
I don’t know but I witness it in every run now.
I say I’m not good at jumping puzzles and say I’ll wait for the WP to appear. This gives me plenty of time to make screenshots and report them. Only when a mesmer ports me I feel obligated to follow.
Using a DPS build does indicate in no way an exploit. I don’t know why you started that way and now you’re confusing everybody in this thread with that.
Zerker is no exploit.
I’m playing zerker on all my pve characters, yet I report the TA jumping puzzle or the CoE/HotW exploits I witness. Should I report myself for using zerker gear?
New in the gem store:
- “basic chat dyes pack” – 500 gems – you get 3 chat dyes to use in your chat window. You get at least one masterwork or rare chat dye.
- “mega chat dyes pack” – 1000 gems – you get 6 chat dyes to use in your chat window. You get at least one rare chat dye and at least one masterwork chat dye.
If they could simply take phases and randomize them. See Lupicus, it has 3 phases and slight variations in phase 2. Make bosses with a dozen possible phases and select a few randomly that occur in sequence. Those should be designed to be best efficient against a type of play. The boss could even “decide” “hey, they’re going melee? Let’s give the phases against melee more weight in the random phase selection.” “Oh, they melee again? More weight to those anti-melee weight”.
In short, make the boss analyze the type of play and give him tools to play against it.
1. Dragon Ball
Oh, there are other activities?
Okay, now we have our exploit, which makes complete sense for the bad attitude of the griefers.
unfortunately said griefers have absolutely 0 legs to stand on, as it is actually against the rules to make use of such an exploit if I am not mistaken.
Of course it is. And now they may be infracted/suspended/banned for at least two reasons: exploiting and threatening (and maybe report abuse).
Okay, now we have our exploit, which makes complete sense for the bad attitude of the griefers.
Dead dps do no dps!
Dead mob deal no damage!
For doing quite a lot of ranged lupi (yes, pugging), it takes no more than ten minutes per attempt and max 2 attempts. Solo vids show quicker kills than a ranged pug group. So please, one hour is only for newbies.
I meant 1 hour if they buffed lupi so a dps group took 5mins to kill. Might be a slight exaggeration but with lupis current hp ive seen ranging pugs take 20 mins to kill him.
Considering dps groups take <1min and a pug takes 10mins. If we assume with a hp buff a dps group takes 5mins then a pug would take 50mins. You get the idea.
Ok, I misunderstood what you meant. In that context, you’re right.
Rezzing the NPCs probably initiates phase 2 of the event, which the haters wanted to prevent. Most likely farming infinite spawns like used to happen at Lyssa Temple in Orr. You’d get yelled at for attacking the walls.
Makes sense, but doesn’t excuse the attitude of the guys who abused the report functionality. I’m now curious on what basis they could have reported Shadey Dancer.

Why the hell did they want you to stop reviving the downed npcs? Is there any form of exploit with that? All I can see is the (area’s level x 0.25%) xp you get by reviving an npc. It’s interesting but not much.
Oh, I knew this worked for weapons. I never thought about using it for armors, silly me.
Thanks everyone!
(edited by Fror.2163)
When I started playing, I thought about my order as a specialization or something. I wasn’t made aware at all that my choice would influence my cosmetics future. Now I want an armor my main cannot use because my main isn’t of that order.
For new characters I carefully chose my order before selecting it at level 30 based on the armors available for that character. But for older ones I’m stuck with my choice of having one character of each order despite the armor choices are underwhelming compared to another.
I know I pressed “ok” when I was told ingame this would be a permanent choice. But I was never told this choice would be exclusive over time. So would it be possible to make it so characters can join a second or even all orders with new quests?
Yes, I want that armor badly.
6th worst: pugging Arah (any explorable path) with first-timers.
I can solo mai trinn just note her shot happens way before the teleport..she lift her weapon and that is the tell (no acoustic tell).
Antiprojectile will take care of it.
Yes, but absorb, not reflects. Reflects teleports you to her. I didn’t understand it at all the first time I experienced this.
I can solo the molten bosses so I just wait until the group is small enough and then proceed. Mai Trin is harder as I just can’t see her tells, so I take most hits she does.
