Outfits never use transformation charges. Once it is unlocked you can have as many monsters prancing around as you have characters. There is a special tab for outfits in the hero panel.
Just in case you don’t know, it is one piece. It cannot be mixed with anything else. You can hide the headpiece by hiding your armor helmet.
What is this Christmas, please?
The cost of the armor is mostly not in the insignia. It is the cloth. Damask is expensive. The recipe for the insignia is under 7 silver as I write this and the exotic part recipies are not needed.
If I were to make a Wupwup armor set, the Charged Quartz would be least of my worries. What really slows me down in armor crafting is the silk. 300 scraps of silk a day does not happen for me.
I have completed one heavy and one light set of Ascended armor and am working on the medium now. This also explains why I am constantly broke.
Ahh. :/, doesn’t phase me I just don’t want to get another account to 80 I already have 5 80’s lol
Even if there was a race change, and I also do not think there will be one, I am sure it would cost more than a new character slot. Slots cost 800 gems normally, but they sometimes go on sale.
Only one of those dragons bears the title ‘The Shatterer’. When it dies, next one inherits it. There are multiple dragons flying around the area. Same as in Orr. Just look up and there are dragons in the sky.
Umh. Are there Turkeys in the game somewhere? I don’t remember seeing any.
Many years ago, when computers were much slower than these days, there existed games called MUDs. They were completely text based so even my computer at the time could handle them. I could only dream of playing games like Neverwinter Nights (not the MMO) and to have all the wonders of the multi-user dungeons enhanced with actual graphics and visible characters was utopia.
By the time I had decent enough a computer to play WoW, I could not justify the monthly fee. A few years passed and my daughter grew up. For a time she played a lot of Runescape. At that time those graphics felt very outdated to me and when I watched her and her friends kill the neighbor’s cows over and over for XP, I shuddered. I did like their jumping cabbages though.
Another year passed. Dee (=daughter) turned 12. WoW was being sold very cheaply at the local hypermarket and she pleaded me to buy it. It didn’t take much, I had retained a curiosity for it. There was no way I would pay two monthly fees though, so she played and I watched. And I did not feel the magic.
I soon grew tired of paying the monthly fee so she could play for two days and get bored until the next month. We went in search of a free to play game. After a few not so lucky tries we did find one that was fun. It was a very beautiful game and i could see that if it lived up to its full potential it could have been great. But it got cancelled in beta.
There we were a game dying on us in the early Summer of 2012. My research then gave me the result of Guild Wars 2 being launched in August. Everything I read about it made me want to play more. The cost of it was a bit scary as I needed to purchase two copies, but there were no subscription fees! I also had to buy a second computer, but that is another story.
Now, two years later, I do not regret starting this game at all. Dee plays sporadically her accounts and I play daily. I have fun with this game and I hope it will continue to grow and evolve for a very long time.
Try at the weirdest hours in the middle of the night. The full servers sometimes drop to very high at the lowest participation times.
On the other hand, if your main thing is not to play WvW with your friend, pick any available NA server. You can do everything else except World versus World together.
It is annoying not being able to get on the server one wants. However, Megaserver is not to blame for TC being full. The t1 WvW servers are all full most of the time.
They are very similar for the most part. One comes across more people speaking other languages on the EU servers.
I have very little lag on either region, but it happens on both sometimes. I cannot tell the difference when playing normally. From what I have read lag mostly depends on your internet connection.
Yes. Your guild is the same regardless the region.
Your characters are saved on Anet’s servers. That’s why we can play from anywhere.
However, you will save yourself a lot of downloading time, if you copy your existing files to the new computer.
No. It is not available at this time.
The race matters for the first two personal story chapters. Each race has their own three different stories.
Any race can be any class. It comes down to personal preference. Try them out.
I use the above mentioned mouse steering except when strafing. It took me a couple of days to get used to not being able to ‘click to move’.
Please, feel free to contact me once in the game if you have any questions. My information should appear below this message. Whispers and mail carry across regions too.
Dyes, bags and cute minis are excellent. A hair or total makeover kit might also be nice. If you want to spend a lot of money there is nothing wrong with buying the harvesting tools as a gift. It is only convenience. The only experience he’d miss that way is buying tools from a merchant.
I usually salvage “Disgarded Garment”. But I am not sure if that is the best way or not.
The better your salvage kit is, the more it has chance to give the highest possible material which in this case is gossamer. And you want silk.
I completed one light armor set. It took about two months for me as I don’t have very much gold. It is a lot of work but if you find it fun to do, go for it.
Do not waste a yellow (Master Salvage kit) on those blues and greens. Especially the lvl 80 ones. It will not give you more silk, it may give you more gossamer. A basic salvage kit works just fine.
And before you decide on what Ascended Armor to make, get the equivalent exotic and test if it is what you like to wear. It would be a shame to spend all the time and effort and end up with stats you don’t enjoy.
How many of those who don’t like timers were playing when we sat waiting the whole ‘window’ for an event? I did not enjoy that at all.
Go to Lion’s Arch. There on the Grand Plaza is an NPC with a green icon on top of his head. Buy a collection box from him. Your spoons will be added to the collection and after that you can sell the spoons to an NPC merchant.
If they have not started yet, let them spend all the time they want in character creation. Characters are usually very important to Sims players or anyone who roleplays inside their head.
Don’t rush things. No matter what zone they start in, the NPCs have a lot to say. Some of it is quite funny and some informative. In a way, your girlfriend has an easier time, because she does not have to unlearn another type of a MMO nor will she be comparing this game to the other every step of the way.
For a completely new player the things veterans may find annoying about the NPE probably are not a problem. Very little is actually level gated, it is just that now the game informs the player of possibilities that we hard to learn by trial and error. If they do find it silly, remind them that it only lasts a few first hours of possibly thousands to come.
Most importantly, you can tell them about all the things they can do, but then let them lead the way.
They’ve now made guilds region-wide and merged all of their upgrades.
So if you change server you’ll still have access to everything in your guild bank.
Actually, guilds are not just region wide. They cover both NA and EU. I am so very happy.
Alright, I personally don’t care whether that thing is in the game or not. It was a cute April Fools joke, but for me that all it ever was. I will not quit when SAB returns, I’ll ignore it unless I am forced into it for the story. That could happen for it is connected to the Living Story. There was that written story about how Moto discovered SAB, after all. (They’ve hidden those so well I cannot find them though.)
I understand asking for something one likes, however, it is not reasonable to request something be put in game pretty much immediately. Things like that do not happen in a few hour or even one day usually.
I got one about 2 years ago. I gave it to my daughter. I have not had another since. (And I opened nearly 300 unidentified dyes when the dyes became account bound.)
Some of us do not profit from more than one account. Why? Because we hold both/all accounts equally important. The gain may increase but so does demand.
Griffon Rook Run JP. http://dulfy.net/2012/09/19/gw2-griffonrook-run-jumping-puzzle-guide/
Try again after lvl 13.
I want to weep. After all this time and not selling any blues and greens I still have 149% MF. In desperation, I tried the ectoplasm salvaging that was recommended once, but a stack did not raise it even quite 1%.
I am really thinking giving up on essences of luck once I get to 150%. Maybe then I will sometimes have some gold to spend…
It is a little SW from Guardpoint Decimus WP. At the SW corner of the map.
Edit: Actually it is straight south.
(edited by Garambola.2461)
It is 500 gems on all our accounts, including the one that is not Deluxe.
Personally, I don’t care very much. The ones I got are mostly unused and take up a spot in the bag. Why? Because I am saving them until I really, really need to have a continuous bank access for two weeks.
No, WvW does not stink on t2 or t3. T1 is the top 3 servers of a region, t2 the next three and so on. Currently NA top three has been somewhat static, but that does not mean the next three servers aren’t good and even less that they would not be having fun.
You know you can guest still. If you guest on TC, you will have a high probability of getting to a Megaserver with lots of TC people. Joining in an RP Guild from TC would make the the odds even higher.
Dear OP,
There have been lots of complaints from Veterans lately though yours is somewhat unusual. I suspect that your troubles are related to the old shrine nearby. Hordes of Foxfire Hunters pass through Pagga’s every day and, perhaps, consider you a threat. Or just a convenient loot bag.
I presume relocation is out of the question, but perhaps you could try to speak to your higher ups. If you could get elevated to Elite status, most casual passers-by would leave you in peace. Whatever you do, do not apply to become a Champion! They may be powerful in their own right, but no match to the zerg hunting them.
No. It has not changed.
Seriously, pretty much every single thing in the patch having to do something with leveling was at one time or another requested right here on these forums. The Chinese just had the honour/misfortune to be the guinea pigs for these features.
Since you speak of guesting, I take it you are not looking to play WvW together? If you want to just play PvE it does not matter what server you are from. Just make a party and if you get separated when changing areas, click on the friend’s picture and choose ‘Join in …’
For a permanent solution, some people are speculating there might be more room on the servers soonish.
Why not come back? There are many completely new players around too. Just jump in and start doing the stuff that you find fun.
Region does matter though.
A lot depends on personal preference, however, do not Mystic Forge Exotic Armor. Check the price of the item on the Trading Post, mostly it is best to sell them. If the item is cheap, salvaging it with the best available salvage kit can get you ectoplasm. It can also get you Dark Matter, which is used in Ascended crafting and cannot be acquired in any other way.
You don’t need to use Master Kit for blues and greens. A cheaper salvage kit is just fine.
The Mystic Forge ( a.k.a. Mystic Toilet) is a lottery machine. Lucky ones may hit a jackpot known as Precursor (watch for light blue text in the item description). Most people, however, lose more than they win and many have put in hundreds of items for pretty much nothing.
It disappeared once before then it came back. I hope you reported the bug?
I must agree. There is only one thing that I don’t like so far in the feature pack, but there is also nothing that excites me. The way it was advertised built up expectations. I did not expect any particular dazzling thing unlike many others, but I did expect something more than: “OK. That can probably be useful or at least it won’t hurt”.
I am addicted, but I am also having fun. There is one huge difference between us: I don’t have nearly enough gold. I wonder sometimes if being able to buy anything I want would bore me. I’ll probably never know.
Also joining a guild with French speaking members will increase the odds of getting to megaserver where there are French speakers. There will still be people who speak other languages there too. (Also, Sept. 9th feature pack intends to improve this.)
There is an NPC to talk to at the start. They give you the armor you dreamed off.
You ask ‘“Can we be honest for a second?” But I know you don’t want that since I disagree with you.
I enjoyed organizing it. And I am way older than 12.
Happy Birthday GW2!
And glad to see Krait!
The point is that every match is won by skill instead of equipment.
Isn’t that the Edge of the Mists loading screen?
