It works fine. I just did it without any issues. You are obviously doing it wrong.

turn off surface format optimization and set tesselation to off.
Now that we demand it, it will never be implemented.
But we will continue to get things that we don’t want and don’t even ask for.

No. You would have to buy a new account.
I finished my achievement in a very short amount of time.
I don’t log on to waste time so I want to accomplish things as fast as i can.
Probably bug not surprised Anet rarely tests stuff
You are giving them too much credit. They NEVER test the things that they end up implementing into the game.
They make as much content as possible in the shortest amount of time, stuff it into the game, let us break it and find all the bugs, then the stuff gets fixed in the next patch.
This allows ANet to focus on the gemstore monopoly.
immobilize animation that shows spilled bottles of elmer’s glue at the enemy’s feet
It is possible to instantly ignite effigies so you don’t have to sit there forever while it casts.
Interact with the effigy.
Dodge away.
Instant ignition.
May this save you some time.
I’ve been around since the launch of gw2 and have no intention of stopping unless they do something really stupid.. You make it sound like they lost 3/4 of the community with the way you talk but they have only lost at tops 1/4 of the community… The base that is here now are the ones who will be playing for awhile longer.. Some will take breaks but the’ll come back it’s just like people do with any mmo… Play then break between patches.
Also most of the 3 million didn’t come from gw1… Only a few hundred thousand came from gw1 and I see a ton of gwamm players in gw2 still so if they lost them they have a funny way of staying lost… Hell I’m one of the gwamm players. The end game topic gets old quickly…. What entertains you may not entertain others… that goes both ways. Just because you can’t find your end game doesn’t mean others aren’t finding theirs…. The game does have some problems with some of the support/controle/conditions though I admit that… Quiet a few other problems besides them as well but no game is without faults… The game will never just poof and go away gw1 is proof of that because after the initial 2 or so years of life the game community became a small dedicated community.
I would think that atleast 2 million out of the 3 million were gw1 players.
Perhaps I am missing something.
Since it would cost half as many red/vip gems to buy a skin as it would to buy it with normal gems, would red/vip gems cost twice as much to buy with real money?
I think the solution is just to simply allow skins to be purchased directly with gems. Forget this whole red/vip gems thing it doesn’t seem to make sense…
UNLESS you intend to eliminate the ability for normal gems to be purchased with real money and only make them able to be purchased with gold. Then the red/vip gems would be real money only. That is the only logical conclusion that allows this thread to make sense.

There was an energy bar back during the demo unveiling and it was removed shortly after that. The devs probably had issues with it.
Screenshot I took during PAX East in March 2011.
You got them for going to a firework show. Just saying.
what does this have to do with anything
I remember the devs saying a while back that the Crystal Desert would not be in release, but was visible from one zone (Fields of Ruin). I do not, however, recall the devs saying that the Crystal Desert would be added “shortly after release”. I would need a source to believe this.
As for the content such an expansion would contain, the gate in Fields of Ruin would be opened by order of Queen Jennah so the adventurers could continue south to eliminate Kralkatorrik and his branded army. We would most likely face branded hydras, sand golems, and other monsters that are native to the desert.
I would just be happy to see the Mesa and the ruins of Amnoon Oasis.
Well, thanks, I guess, for becoming the poster boy for why the holo projectors are anti-community. You deliberately espouse killing the spawns as quickly as possible and with out ever waiting for anyone. Exactly the kind of game play this game is supposed to discourage, if not make impossible.
There is no reason for him to wait for people who are slow. He got there first so he has every right to kill the mobs. If people want an equal share of the spoils, they have to haul kitten and get there.
Game’s not even hit its first anniversary and we’ve already go the “Vanilla GW2 was soooo much better” crowd, eh? ;P
It has been nearly a year since the game was released to the public. The game has been in development since 2007 and has been playable as early as 2010 at the gaming conventions. The game has changed a lot since its initial unveiling in 2010. Some of that older content was better than the stuff we have now.
1500 coffers. 3 tickets, 11 holographic risen knights
i am super angry about this bs. i am not buying gems until arenanet straightens itself out.
I

Missing texture. Repair your game archive using the -repair command line parameter.
Do you remember when…
…characters had a energy (mana) pool?
Yeah, it’s called thief.
Seems they only kept it for this class, kinda sad to be honest. Actually thief ini might be one of the reason it got scrapped.Remember when necro where op? /runsaway
Initiative and energy were two separate things. Energy was eventually removed from all professions.
Yes I am referring to the bonus missions pack.
The armor skins in GW1 were fair deals too imo. I wouldn’t mind paying a bit for a t3 cultural armor but as it stands t3 cultural armor costs well over 50€(transmutation stones not included) for ONE armor set for ONE character.
I know “you can just farm and get it for ingame gold blah blah”.. yes I can but that will take me a loooong time because I don’t have time to play every day.
And when I have time to play I want to do something fun. Farming is not fun to me.
If I want to do repetitive boring stuff just for a reward .. that’s what jobs are for.
I agree. This game shouldn’t be a career lol.
I remember when…
- ppl didn’t know about 100b zerk-warriors and dungeons were actually harder to do.
- ascended gear and it’s riddicolous stats weren’t implemented.
I agree that Ascended gear was unnecessary.

I am not surprised at ArenaNet’s stubbornness at all. Extremely unprofessional and it shows that they are not willing to lose a bit of their pride for the benefit of their customers.

have you noticed any performance change in the game ? I wonder if it will make a difference over time. I still haven’t tried it yet, waiting to see if Anet has any comment on it.
There was no noticeable performance increase. So I would say no.
Excellent posts so far guys! Keep them coming!
I remember actually getting loot from most mobs that I killed. Those were the days RNG & DR didn’t plague the player-base. A time when the developers actually cared about their game and players.
That was before the gem store too (go figure)
I remember when
You could have multiple Classes on one character and you could swap them around at will!
There were hundreds of skills to choose from and capture from bosses that were actually hard to fight..
I could make builds on the fly, share them with friends and actually have multiple builds saved..
The story was repeatable and was worth repeating…
Assassins and Ritualists walked Tyria..
You could run through Cantha and Elona
Waypoints were free and the Economy was not destroyed by Flippers..
Loot dropped freely, and the instance was yours alone..
Dungeons were actually fun and worth doing
I could actually Dye my weapons as well as my Armor…
Haha you are talking about GW1! I’m talking about gw2 =)

It successfully applies and does not destroy the game.
However, it does not increase memory usage. The game is still using only 1.2GB of RAM at most on a 16GB system.
I remember
- When engineers wore heavy gear
- When there was talk about mobile/web apps for keeping in touch with guildies, posting and retrieving in TP, and checking mail, there was even talk of seeing friends locations on the mobile/web apps so we could easily join them.
- When our home city was to reflect our adventures.
;)
Excellent post. They still haven’t given us any updates on those mobile apps.
I saw a thread in the BLTC section that asked if we remembered when 15 dollars got us 3 new missions and weapon skins that were usable by all characters on our account (he is referring to GW1 btw). It got me thinking about some very nostalgic things I could share about this game during the demo phase.
Do you remember when…
…characters had a energy (mana) pool?
…there were health and energy (mana) potions?
…the world map looked like THIS?
…each major city had custom map icons like these?
…the map looked artistic and awesome?? (btw that is Gendarran fields at the bottom)
I sure remember these things and I miss a lot of them.
Below are some of the screenshots of the GW2 demo that I took with developer permission at PAX East in March of 2011. In case you didn’t know, these screenshots that I took were the FIRST actual high-resolution screenshots ever taken and put online for this game. It sparked a lot of excitement on the GuildWars2Guru forums when I posted them.
If you have something of nostalgic interest please share!!!

Are you perhaps referring to the Bonus Mission Pack?

As of build 19512, the POI in Divinity’s Reach is now able to be discovered!
“The Dead End”
Regular luck should provide one with ONE ticket ever 750-1000 coffers. If less, you are quite lucky. If more, your luck is crap.
I’m sorry, but I have no sympathy for the “I’m sad because other people can get this skin too” point of view.
Agreed wholeheartedly. This comment pretty much ends the thread from continuing in favor of the OP.
They must have fixed this because it always teleports me back down when i try to jump on the next house your first screenshot.
You jump to the left, not the right. Once you jump there, to get further requires use of jump skills (like engi jump shot)
you dun need to buy a legendary or make one.
it is not compulsory.
How much does Eternity cost in euros? You failed to answer that part.
When ArenaNet can profit on it most
I agree that this does deserve some more attention. Especially by the cartography freaks out there.
You made it without any skills and just by jumping? Getting onto the house before your first screenshot requires a leap or teleport (regular jump lacks the height needed) unless you found another way.
I’ll trace out the path I took and when I used the teleport gun later.
It does not require a leap or teleport. I know some jumping tricks which is why I can make it up there without skills.

laptops suck for playing modern games.
1149 Regular Coffers
2 tickets
8 mini risen knight
the rest was trash
63g well spent imo cause now i have a jade sword and jade dagger for my canthan themed thief
The uncompressed game client is 26 GB. I use the uncompressed files because the zones load faster (the CPU doesn’t have to decompress the data).
Not illegal. It is simply selling knowledge. Just because that knowledge is related to the game doesn’t make it “illegal”.
How did you get up there? Been trying to get up there for fun, trying to approach from the north..
Start here.
If you look at the images in my first post, you can get as far as the first image without any skills (however swiftness is necessary for a couple of the jumps).
If the demand is high enough, I can make a video demonstrating how to get up there for fun/exploration.
Totally inaccessible.

By the way, are you that guy that used to run people in GW1? If so, your service was amazing, especially since I was a lazy kitten rich guy
Yeah, my main runners were Next Top Runner (A/R) and God Of Fissures (D/A).
Is this in the Eastern Commons? I noticed there’s no way of getting to it. It might be for new content that is either part of next month’s update or Dragon Bash.
Sorry it has taken me a while to get back to you; I went to sleep just after I made the post. Yes, this is in Eastern Commons.
As many of you know, there is a new point of interest in Divinity’s Reach. Access to this PoI is blocked and any attempts to get near it result in the player being teleported in front of the building.
I found a clever set of roof jumps in the city that get you on top of the building but i can’t get down inside because of the teleporting thing. Here are some screenshots to show where I got.
Despite how close I got, the PoI still hasn’t been discovered.
Nobody should be banned. This event was released unfinished and untested. Quality Assurance is nonexistent in this event.
If the devs believe it is a bug, then by all means fix it. Until then, people shouldn’t be banned for playing the game in its current state. Bug or not, the developers are at fault for releasing an unfinished minigame.
