Healementalist: They’ll have runes of the monk + epic staff healz in Water Magic, healing everyone for 35% more on top of their cleric’s gear. They’re the only reason you’ll stay alive in any dungeon
2 Engineer builds. Knock Back Spam and Turret Boons.
With the new trait in Explosives, it’s obvious that you should knock foes around everywhere to get that 3 seconds of quickness for super deeps.
You could also be a great support player by using Turrets that give a decent boon every 10 seconds. They’ll only live 10 seconds though
30/30/X/X/X Condition guardians. Not only will burn do 33% more damage but Retaliation can scale with condition damage! Obvious choice is obvious
For Mesmer, you’ll see excellent boon shatterer’s. Giving boons and using utilities that grant them more clones for more shattering. And also epic interrupt mantra heal builds (Won’t heal as good as an healementalist but they’ll still be the reason you’re alive)
You’ll also see Juggernecros. Now able to regenerate heal in deathshroud, they can also spec for life stealing or they’ll heal you with their life blast spam
Bearbows..already incredible, now even better with Longbow arrows that fly twice as fast! When they’re at 1500 range it’s like they’re at 750. Right?
Thieve’s are the squishiest, but they’ll be ok now because they can spec to get healed on every critical hit and when they’re in stealth they’ll take 50% less damage. It’s genius
Warriors. Not as extravagent as the other classes but I believe we’ll see many tank Warriors, now that they get 1000 toughness when they break out of all those stuns in dungeons, and they can make use of banner or shout heals so they protect the group with their super tankyness
I can see daily Vanquish missions being added to the main hub (Gendarren at this point) where you except the mission and you have to Vanquish X dungeon path.
Depending on the length and difficulty of the path you get 1-X laurels, karma, gold, something else?
Example: Daily Dungeon Vanquish: CoF path 1. Reward: 1 laurel, 1,500 karma, 20 silver.
Bonus: No one gets downed: 500 karma, 10 silver
Current Axe/Mace and Axe/Sword (or Axe..never use skill 5 if you use Axe though) is 30/25/0/10/5 or 30/20/0/20 (I think for better party DPS).
Traits are V, X, and XI in Strength. V and I or II in Arms (I use 2 to keep perma-swiftness, which helps damage). VI in Tactics (Swiftness gives you more damage with this) and if you run the alternate it’s VI and the trait that gives up to 5 people in range 150 power while you’re in combat.
There’s not much rotation to worry about. Axe 2>Mace 4>Mace 5>spam auto-attack. Never interrupt your auto-attack with another skill (if it hasn’t started again you can use another skill). If you have Axe/Axe out at the time it’s pretty much the same Axe2>4>auto. I’m not familiar with Sword cuz I think it’s lower DPS, but does offer good survivability with it’s low cool down block
This is as far as I understand the meta, I could be wrong. Your armor/jewelery/weapons should be full berserker stats with scholar runes (scholar is very expensive so Ruby Orbs are ok)
Utilities: For Great Justice, Signet of Fury, Banner of Discipline, Signet of Rage. In groups I exchange Signet of Fury for Banner of Strength if there’s no other Warrior and in some cases use Battle Standard instead of the Signet
They could give a box for each double that gives a green-exotic item

The trait that gives 10% crit damage while wielding an Axe will be (at least I assume) nerfed with the Ferocity change. And Greatsword will also be able to have 2 sigils.
There will be the new trait in Arms to allow a potential 30/30/0/10/0 build, increasing Axe attack speed by 10%, which is basically a 10% damage increase
Dual Wielding is incredible..what? There’s other traits in PvE? I didn’t know
Hide boots definitley fits Norn/Charr the most. I can also seeing the chest being removable especially if you wanted a Berserker look for males

If you’re trying to upgrade something (like masterwork to rare) there’s only a 20% chance of it happening. I don’t think there’s a truly profitable way to make use of the thing
My question is, what gives players of the Arah run the nerve to demand that other players PAY them (in gold) to run the dungeon with them? Some dude tried to charge me 6 gold (6g) and when i didn’t he straight booted me. The game is free to play, now some kid is charging me? The irony is he couldn’t complete the mission by himself anyway! So in essence we are paying him to allow us to help him do what he cant do alone?
I cant be the only one who thinks this right? Shouldn’t the DEVS step in an warn these extortioners?

From a PvE perspective:
Guardian: The aoe rez over time is great, and the aoe knockback
Ele: Mist form lets you go to an ally if you’re spread out. Even though most dungeons you stack everywhere
Thief: It’s ok, not great. Can teleport out of somewhere to get rezzed and stealth
Ranger: Nice stun, pet rezzing
Warrior: It’s kind of in the middle. Sometimes Vengeance saves the day and other times it’s just useless
Necro: Heals itself while attacking, fear, nice 3rd skill. I’d say tied with Warrior
Mesmer/Engineer: I just don’t like their skills at all
I..I use to wear..clerics..and use Banner..heals =(
I’m sure this has been mentioned before, but I was thinking the other day how’d I’d rather my Ele was my Mesmer and vice versa. I’m sure it would be priced at 800 gems which I understand. I’d also accept having to unlock all the skills for the profession you change to. Since your character is basically relearning everything to become X class

Assuming this is for PvE, the best way you can support your group is to do really high damage. Greatsword and Axe/Mace is the generic Warrior DPS build. 30/25/0/0/15 traits.
But since you’re not a fan of Greatsword, there’s always the full Axe build. Which I believe is 30/25/0/10/5. Might be 30/30/0/10/0 after the patch.
I’m currently using the Axe build and I like it. Using Axe/Mace and Axe/Axe. I feel Axe/Axe has more DPS than Axe/Sword though the block on Sword is nice. Never use Axe 5

Only thing I could see them adding is a Dervish style class. Not Dervish since they were Warrior’s of the gods, but a class that had a Scythe and other weapons like Greatsword, Sword, Focus, Staff, possibly a Bow and Axe. Uses prayers/vows/enchantments.
Would love it if I could just pick pieces of town clothing to wear with my armor. Like the pink quaggan hat for my Warrior and nothing else
I solo the champ giant all the time when there’s a daily champ slayer just for funzies. Stand inside him so the triple tremor doesn’t hit you. Dodge everything else and just kill him
They won’t stack together but will give 5 stacks per kill in all game modes. But you’re better off (at least in PvE) using a Sigil of Force or dungeon appropriate sigil
Not Hellfire, but it’s Radiant. So you can expect the same thing to happen to Hellfire
Removing restrictions sounds intriguing. If it’s all weapons for all classes that’s cool. If it’s all armors too..who would ever wear light armor? Unless they balance it out by heavy armor = more armor, slightly lower stats. Light = less armor but slightly higher stats. Medium armor = balance between the two. Or it’s just using the appearance of any armor you want
I could see this being an adept trait in Strength or Arms. Would probably make Axe/Mace Axe/X better than Axe/Mace and Greatsword.
I appreciate the anser Swede. I forgot to mention Mine Field. It really is underestimated and is really good against walled foes. I just don’t like using the actual skill cuz the knockback can mess things up but great for prebattle might stacking
This seems like a good place to ask a question for you dungeony DPS experts. I don’t play my Engineer all the time but I do use him occassionally. 30/30/0/0/10 Bomb/Grenades etc. my last skill I can never decide on, between Thumper Turret for 3 blast finishers, or Elixir B, or something else. Was wondering if it was worth it damage wise to have Flamethrower on the bar just to use Flameblast
1: New dungeons. Not annoying like TA Aetherpath though. Molten Facility was great
2: New profession skills and make bad profession skills better for more variety.

I was thinking today that one way they could make it more CC friendly or whatever you want to call it, is the boss starts with 1, 2, or 3 stacks of “something”. This means he can be CC’d X amount of times before gaining his 5 defiant stacks. When the defiant stacks are removed, he gains his stacks of “something” again.
Depending on the boss and point of the dungeon, they would have more or less “something”. Using TA Up as an example. The Wurm would have 3 stacks. Malrona 1, Fyonna 2. The tree can’t be CC’d

You’re best off with
30/25/0/0/15 traits. Greatsword/AxeMace combo. Full zerker everything
Utilities: Healing Signet, For Great Justice, Signet of Fury (if there’s not 2 warriors, replace this with Banner of Strength), Banner of Discipline (or Strength if another Warrior has Discipline).
Depending on the situation I use Signet of Rage or Battle Standard
Well, I’m a Charr, use the Artillery Barrage for my Elite because Engineer elites suck in PvE. Norn is a great choice due to how strong Bear Form is.
Asura could be another wise option for the attack golem they get
Black Lion Keys are not worth the 125 gems that they cost. You normally get a useless booster, useless merchant thing, and maybe some dyes at best.
Now, if you were paid 10$ an hour, you could go do work for an hour, and buy gems to buy about 6 keys.
Doing it in game, it takes me at least, 19-21 minutes for a key run. So I can only get 3 keys an hour. So it’s actually more inefficient to play the game
We don’t all play them because not everyone finds them fun. Also, other classes bring better damage/support to the table than Warrior.
Ele: More damage, great might stacking and sometimes better fury stacking
Guardian: Can have more damage, great support from boons/reflects/blinds
Thief: Has more single target DPS I believe. Stealth for skips and blind spam
Ranger: Can do equal damage to Warrior I thnk. Has Frost Spirit and Spotter to be like a psuedo Banner of Strength/Discipline
Warrior brings good damage and banners. Banners are the main reason I believe people want Warrior in their group. Warrior’s also got good vuln stacking

To be honest, if I could pick the professions to run with every time, I would have a Guardian, 2 Warriors, a Ranger, and an Ele.
I’m gonna say the main problem is most Ranger’s dont use Spotter, Frost Spirit, Sword/Horn and Sword/X and have a bear, or something like that, pet. Which is what makes them inferior to other classes and why people kick them with haste

If there’s a might stacking ele in your party, take out Forceful Greatsword and change it to Deep Strikes. In Strength you want Dual Wielding and that triat increases Greatsword damage by 10%. You always want Vulnerability on crit in Arms and the 15% damage boost with full adrenaline in Strength.
I personally like the signet cool down reduction in Discipline for less down time on Signet of Rage
Edit: Utilities I run are Healing Signet, For Great Justice, Signet of Fury, Banner of Discipline, Signet of Rage. Since I’m usually the only Warrior in my guild group, I’ll run Banner of Strength instead of Signet of Fury when I don’t feel lazy =P

I don’t like that idea too much. There’s no point in your change really just use the stack on kill sigil you want (condition damage, power, healing power, or toughness) and enjoy.
Also, I like being able to in dungeons get 250 extra power (assuming I can keep it) then switch to my Axe/Mace for 10% more damage and about 6 extra might from swapping

I think it would be better if one lane was assaulted at a time. Players have to defend it for a minute or so then go through the portal and all have to kill the champion. Boss 1 would need to be changed since it would be 1 player on each platform. 3 might need to be nerfed slightly. And 5 wouldn’t split as much. After each is boss is successfully killed in the time limit you get teleported to the next lane to defend. If the bosses aren’t killed in the time limit you have to defend the lane again
