Made a temporary new character to see if I could make another one of my favorite Fire Emblem characters, The Black Knight.
Your Fire Emblem combos are great! It really looks like the Black Knight.
Here’s my latest mix:
That is a beautiful look! Love the colors you chose too.
Thank you. Your Thief looks good as well. You might try the Order of Whisper’s boots
Recently updated my Thief with what will probably be her main look from now on. Still trying to find medium shoes that I like, or fit better with the set though.
Edit: Not sure why it didn’t put my text in. Thank you, did you see my other characters in this thread?
Also your Thief looks good, you might try the order of whispers boots

Hard to choose just one, so here’s 3. First is my Warrior, also my main. Second is my Thief’s alternate armor set. And finally, my newest addition yet to be completed because I’m still leveling is my new Warrior, a copy of the Black Knight from the Fire Emblem Radiant series, ignore the horrid skill bar
Here a couple name brainstorm ideas and another inspirational image:
-Barbarian
-Blackguard
-Demon Knight
-Dragoon
-Ravager
-Ritualist
-Vampyre
Yay, Fire Emblem.
If I had to pick 3 I’d want a Warrior for might, fury, high damage, vulnerability, and of course banners.
Guardian for their high damage, and great support even as DPS
Then Elementalist for might stacking and FGS/Lightning Hammer
Elixir X: Do 20% more damage for 20 seconds and gain all boons for 8 seconds (3 might). 120 second cool down.
Reasons for the longer cool down is it can last 20% longer (24 seconds total + longer boon duration) and the cooldown can be reduced 20% (96 second cool down)
Hey. A full zerker Ele in PvE can be hard to live on but is doable. Just takes practice.
If you want the best DPS, I recommend the Lightning Hammer build. You can even go Scepter/Focus for tons of Might stacking and extra defense.
Traits: 25/25/10/10/0.
Skills: Lightning Hammer, Arcane Wave, Signet of Fire, FGS (or Glyph of Elementals when FGS is useless)
Plan: Usually groups will LoS pull and stack, what you can do is once the mobs are pulled, start in Fire Magic go 2>4>3/5 switch to Earth, 4>5/2 (you have time to use Rock Barrier before Water Magic is available to switch to) switch to Water 5>summon Lightning Hammer and start auto-attacking doing some of the highest damage in the game. If there’s other fire fields, you’ll be stacking tons of might and constantly blinding foes
Made a temporary new character to see if I could make another one of my favorite Fire Emblem characters, The Black Knight. I don’t have the proper dyes because he’s just a new toon for experimentation but I thought I got pretty close
Back in my noob days I was a full cleric’s regenerating banners warrior with Mace/Shield and Axe/Warhorn totally tanking like a boss and keeping the group alive with the 230 health per second regeneration
It ends earlier because after you cast some skills there’s a slight delay before the cool down starts
Charr: Warrior, Engineer, Ranger, Guardian. Thief if it’s Ash Legion
Norn: Warrior, Ranger, Guardian. Possibly Elementalist
Human: All
Sylvari: Ranger, Necromancer. Maybe Warrior
Asura: Elementalist, Necromancer, Mesmer, Engineer
I see no problem with selling dungeons. In the original guild wars, people would pay to be run through annoying or long areas. Payed for people to solo dungeons or something like doa/underworld
What are these harpy feathers and where do you get them?
After the patch I decided to see how Hammer was effect. I’m still doing good with it. Made a new build for it 0/20/30/0/20 and it seems very effective. Sword/Shield off set using Barbarian Amulet with Vaklyrie jewel.
I would like to ask those who number crunch if they could give me a comparison on the Hammer auto-attack compared to the Axe in PvE please. It hits really hard so was wondering how it’s quicker auto-attack series compared to Axe
Conditions heal you as well
Was using the giant in Naegling for tests..seems to heal for 75% of the damage that would’ve been dealt
For WvW it could take badges, lordkrall.
From a PvE standpoint it’s technically only really needed for high level fractals (thank goodness, I’ll be annoyed if agony resistance is needed in other areas of the game).
So making it acquirable via crafting, dungeons, fractals and WvW badges would not be too bad I don’t think.
I don’t mind Ascended armor being a long term goal but the crafting is too expensive for most people I’d say.
They could make each piece into a mystic forge recipe. Something like 10 Pristine Fractal Relics, 500 Dungeon Token item, Armor Piece from said Dungeon (would determine the stats of said Ascended item), and say 5 Mystic Clovers or 3 Globs of Coagulated Mist Essence
Something to that effect
I have a Warhorn. Just figured a faster cool down on the might would be better
25/25/10/10 most likely. Using LH, Arcane Wave, Signet of Fire.
10% damage to foes in 600 range
10% to burning foes (tommorow)
20% to vulnerable foes in water
20% to foes under 33%
15% more crit damage after using an Arcane skill
and a 66% chance to cause vulnerability on crits
One question I have is wouldn’t reducing the recharge on corruption skills (specifically Blood is Power) be better than Warhorn cool down reduction?
Greatsword is really good for damage as well. Only a little bit behind the full Axe build.
The Axe auto-attack is basically a never ending Hundred Blades with how much damage it does from my experience
The best damage you can get is from a full Axe build I believe (Axe/Mace and Axe/Axe or Sword). I currently run A/M and A/A set up. Using 30/10/0/0/30 but 30/25/0/0/15 is a bit better I think for damage. The traits are pretty self explanatory, taking ones that boost damage. Though I’m not sure what Master trait you take in 30/25/0/0/15 version when running a full Axe build
As for utilities, Healing Signet is great for sustain or use Healing Surge if you prefer a burst heal. For Great Justice almost never leaves my bar in PvE. For solo play I usually use Signet of Fury (keep passive) and either Banner of Discipline or if I’m lazy, Signet of Might. Signet of Rage is a great elite skill, but I prefer Battle Standard at least in group play.
In a group if you’re the only Warrior you probably want to run For Great Justice, Banner of Strength, Banner of Discipline, and Battle Standard to really boost your party’s DPS output
Possibly my Warrior main but most likely none it all. It costs too much and is too tedious already just for a weapon and it’s a very small stat increase.
Would like to Ascended items available via dungeon tokens and pristine fractal relics
Your best bet is probably to use laurels for a t6 crafting bag if you want them quickly. Otherwise I’d say do some champ farming every day and use the gold to buy them
Been somewhat dead on Yak’s Bend too. I know there was a silver nerf but I still get my 6-8 gold an hour farming Frostgorge. Don’t know why people stopped
I run 30/25/0/15/0 full zerker gear on my Ranger.
Using Sword/Torch (pretty much just fire field only), and Sword/Warhorn. Sigil of Superior Battle on the Sword and Sigil of Night on the Torch/Warhorn.
Pets are Melandru’s Stalker and Red Moa for group might and fury.
Utilities are Troll Unguent or Healing Spring, Frost Spirit, Signet of the Wild, and either Sic’ Em or Quickening Zephyr. Rampage as One as the elite
IV, VII, XI in Marksmanship. I and V in Skirmishing. and IV in Nature Magic
I just started playing my Engineer in spvp and am doing pretty well with my 0/0/30/30/10 bunker build. Using Elixir H, Bomb Kit, Elixir Gun, Elixir C and Supply crate. Unless I get zerged or stunlocked I’m very hard to kill using a Settler’s Amulet
Assuming you mean the final boss in the dredge fractal, when he’kitten by the buckets the damage you do to him increases dramatically. As for the final swipe, it’s not 60K in one hit, it’s cumulative from all the other hits on hundred blades. So he’s doing 60K total.
Personally I’ve never hit 40K, but my guild doesn’t do the perfect organization stuff because we’re not that skilled. The highest I’ve gotten is 37K I believe
Hmm, wonder how well it works with Signet of Malice or Necro’s life steal on crit/hit traits
Yeah. I was thinking to myself “It would be great if I could get a Fire Field on my Thief..”. Then I decided to look through all the consumables and found my answer. Thanks for the info, I’ll try guesting on a server that has arah open
Closest thing you’ll get to Rit in my opinion is a Phantasm Mesmer (also one of the most effective PvE builds in the game for that class
Anet has never really changed their holidays up
Hey, was wondering if anyone knew if the Champion Ooze King event in Cursed Shore can be activated somehow. I want to purchase the flamethrowers from the merchant for my thief but the event has to be completed.
Been waiting a while and no signs of it starting. Any info is appreciated
I’ve already started moving away from using my Hammer/Greatsword combo in PvE..goodbye Juggernaut I spent 6 months getting
Sigil of Blood seems to actually be a 5 second cool down (needs to be changed to 2 seconds imo).
The food has a 1 second cool down
They are both seperate effects and will not override each other. If you want a cheap version of the ghost get the Slice of Candied Dragon Roll
I see what you’re saying CMstorm. I usually look at guild wars 1 skills since I can’t come up with my own skill names for inspiration. I considered writing Warrior’s Endurance without Protection but then it looked mediocre for some reason. Could probably last longer.
Instead of what I suggested for Warrior’s cunning it could last 8 seconds it could give either Might, Fury, or Retaliation when you attack. (10 seconds/5 seconds/3 seconds) with a 1 second internal cool down for each boon
Could add more shouts.
Shield’s Up! Grant 5 seconds of Protection and 2 seconds of projectile absorption to nearby allies. 40 second cool down
To The Limit! Your next adrenal skill uses no adrenaline and does 10% more damage. 30 second cool down.
More stances.
Warrior’s Endurance: Gain Vigor, and Regeneration and Protection for 4 seconds. Gain 200 health each time you hit a foe. 60 second cool down
Warrior’s Cunning: Your skills are unblockable for 5 seconds. 30 second cool down
Haven’t done any of the new fractals yet. I don’t know if they’ve changed their dungeon versions so I won’t include them in my rankings.
Swampland
Aquatic
Ascalon
Uncategorized/Snowblind
Cliffside
Volcanic
Dredge
Stuff like Bloodlust sigils need to be reworked in PvE. They’re nice but it’s hard to get 25 stacks in dungeon due to not enough fighting because of skips or mobs not counting (like bomb golems in CoE).
I think in dungeons it should be like PvP and you gain 5 stacks per kill.
As for them getting removed in fractals now, I think it should be changed back. You’re still technically in the same dungeon even after you change fractals
I’ve been running Axe/Axe and Axe/Mace for my pure Axe build recently (30/10/0/0/30). I use /Axe over /Sword because skill 4 does almost as much damage as the final Axe auto-chain hitso I find it more useful than sword and also in my guild groups my only source of Fury is Warbanner/For Great Justice so when Warbanner is on cool down it helps keep perma-fury.
Double click the items you wanna put in
I got 2 armor sets for my Thief. The first set is a copy of Mia from Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn.
The second set is a custom set I put together
I use a Might stacking zerker build on my Engineer.
I’ll have my guildies group on me pre-fight, put healing turret, throw mine, and thumper turret where we’re standing and have a pistol/shield equipped. I’ll go to bomb kit, hit big ol’ bomb>fire bomb (switch back to pistol shield while waiting for teh explosionz) once you see the fire bomb go off you detonate your turrets, and mine, spamming the thumper turret tool belt skill and then shield 4.
This will give everyone 18 stacks of might, you go into combat, switching to Rifle, and mostly use the bomb kit to apply vulnerability, rifle is for burst with skills 3 and 5. On the 10th with the bomb kit you’ll have a nice range of conditions to apply for the damage bonus from the 30 point trait in fire arms.
My build is 30/30/0/0/10. Taking speedy gadgets in Tools for faster mine field cool down
The Juggernaut, Mjolnir, Entropy/Genesis, Guild Hammer, and Magmaton.
Well, if you’re trying to stay within 10%, taking away 15% of your damage isn’t going to do that.
I’m running Greatsword/Hammer till they nerf Staggering Blow. 30/25/0/0/15. The 10 point trait in Strength is the one that gives extra Vitality since I’m not dual wielding.
I use the Greatsword to build up might then switch to Hammer. Skills 2, 4, and 5 do almost as much damage has Hundred Blades and the auto-attack hits harder. Then I switch back to Greatsword
Trying to get that color will be challenging on other armor. It can make some colors more vibrant than they are on other armor.
Here’s my Ele normally. The gem on the chest is Apricot. Then the second picture is my Elementalist with Apricot all over the chest piece
If you want to keep your fractal level you can keep it. Period
If you want to get Carrion Ascended gear, you can get it. Period
Couldn’t resist. Anyways, I don’t believe they had a set date for Carrion gear so no use complaining about it. They might introduce it with the fractal update who knows. Considering it’s one of the core stat types of the games (i.e not added later) I think it should’ve been implemented with the first set of ascended items
Like he said, speed boosts do not stack.
As long as the health regeneration is from a different source, they’ll stack.
Like as a Ranger, you could have the signet (like 80 HPS), Dolyak Rune (a measily 30, not really worth it), and the Regeneration boon (inbetween like 130-250 depending on your healing power). 2 different applications of Regeneration will not stack
It’s always worked. However it doesn’t show up on the stats section of your hero panel. The increase is invisible. Just like when using the Deep Strike trait
