Banners and PS simply need nerfing. They’re way too good a boost for how little investment they require.

I don’t know if Banners need a nerf, the lack of mobility in them is kind of their downfall (Remember they used to give 90 to each stat and were kind of weak). If anything maybe lower them to 135/150. But I do agree Phalanx Strength needs a nerf. I’m not sure how, maybe a cap of 10 might, at least condi warrior’s damage is high enough they would still be brought along, the banners alone are useful enough. Power Warrior just needs some buffs

According to QT the PS Berserker is one of the lowest of the high damage builds. I don’t see why they can’t buff a power warrior to do the same

Just make it reset duration then it would be “fine” I guess

Only thing spell breaker has a chance of being in PvE is a Power PS but it’s damage is too low. All the traits and everything look promising but with the heavy nerf to Berserker’s Power and overall low damage there’s no reason to take it

There’s some condi removal, Torch 5 and going into Berserk mode. But not exactly reliable.

Thanks, I’m not gonna demand a good group comp though. I actually did fractals last night and I did alot better. The team was much better skilled than the ones I had before when I was trying out my Warrior. Still need some more practice but I just gotta get used to it again. I did learn not to worry too much about perfect rotation on trash, that’s more for bosses

Anyone think it could be a viable Power PS in PvE?

I had trouble with blood reckoning, seemed like I couldn’t stand in to get damage done to heal. Just need more practice I suppose

I usually play my Daredevil in Fractals but I just got my condi PS warrior set up and I can barely survive at all. I guess I’m used to infinite dodges and heal on critical. So any tips would be appreciated

My only complaint with it (so far, I’ve only fought the first boss didn’t have time to finish) is when I dodged the expanding circle under me, a larger pulse it looks like applied 5 burning stacks that do incredibly high damage (on Daredevil) and with Shadow Step and Signet of Agility I couldn’t remove it every time, I understand other players could have condition removal but it seemed odd that I’d get burned like that during a dodge

Considering how raids in other games are, 4 hours isn’t unreasonable.

My coworker just spent 3 days of like 12 hours of straight raiding on the new Savage Mode Raid or whatever in Final Fantasy 14 to complete it

Anyone have a link to the specialization leaks? I don’t put much faith in them but would be nice to see.

After seeing the Priest of Balthazaar with a staff and heavy armor (I know Guardians/revenants can do this) I would love to see a Battle Mage. Forceful AoE Magic and some Melee + Cantrip utility skills

Never buy keys. Just get an extra slot, either spend a week casually leveling them to 10, or once a week use the Tomes of Knowledge from your dailies (8 total) to hit level 10 and get a key in about 20 minutes.

I did this on my main account and alt-account after a long hiatus of key runs since the nerf and got a Black Lion Weapon Ticket

For me, Tybalt had the most feels and most likeable character. Amusing, but his backstory was pretty serious. And his final quote before holding off the undead was the best.

I didn’t read everything as I stopped at Strenght and just wanted to say the change to Berserker’s Power that was proposed was the dumbest thing I have ever heard. Warrior does not have the greatest % damage increase traits. Why would you take away this amazing one for a boon that we can get plenty of (PvE) and that can be stripped (PvP)

I’ve been soloing my fractal adept daily. When I do the aquatic fractal, if I get eaten by the boss he resets. I know this has to do with how Anet had changed the mechanics for him and Mossman to reset while being out of combat, but this seems like an oversight, since I’m still in combat while being digested

I would’ve bought HoT if it was available without the base game and I could just buy the expansion for 30-40 bucks. Right now I’m waiting for it to go on sale otherwise I don’t think it’s worth the money

Anet said no new weapons would be introduced, but that doesn’t mean Spear can’t be brought to land. Though I doubt they’ll put the coding in for that.

I say it’s most likely a Pistol or Dagger off-hand. Hopefully they provide great damage and/or utility

I understand about the plane crash but if you look at things realistically, these crashes rarely happen.

I’d say more people die from disease, knife/guns, and car wrecks each month as compared to plane crash deaths each month

Free speech isn’t quite what most people think it is. It doesn’t mean you can go anywhere and say whatever you want. It means that you can speak out in protest against the government without fear of reprecussions.

Anet is a company and Guild Wars 2 is their property. They have the right to not allow whatever they want inside that game, because it is their business. They could say “You are not allowed to play if your hair color is brown” if they wanted to

It shouldn’t offend you that people believe in God or another god. If they want to talk about it, they can. On the flipside, they shouldn’t be offended that you don’t believe in anything.

Tolerance is a two way street, and usually the ones calling for tolerance are being intolerant themselves. Does it effect you in anyway that they’re talking about something that you disagree with? No it doesn’t, get over it and quit caring and let everyone get on with their lives

As for open world, you don’t really need to run both banners. I usually run For Great Justice/Signet of Fury/Banner of Discipline.

As to what Silv said, Warrior is no where near the best DPS in PvE. Easily outclassed by classes like Ele and Thief, but they’re great at buffing the group

Phalanx Strength damage isn’t exceptional even in Berserker armor/weapons, and you can do all the same supporting using it, pulling more damage which is even more supportive so you’re better off using that

Scholar will give you the most DPS

Well, it only took 1.5-2 hours, and getting lucky at lupi (got downed with 1% left and killed him right before vengeance wore off) but I finally solo’d arah p2

Also what if Mesmer timewarp applies slow to enemies? Never dodge again because you can just walk out of the way

Instead of terrible bearbows we’re gonna have support Druid rangers running around with a bear. I call them bruids. They will be worse than bearbow and continue to give Ranger an even more terrible stigma

All we need really is to have a party leader system. Leader can’t be kicked, and majority vote is needed to kick.

So, I bought a second account when they were 75% off. I got it to gather laurels to buy T6 mats with as extra income, but I still can’t even mail 1 gold to this account from it at level 12 now.

Working on getting enough Tomes/writs of experience to hit level 80. I’ve leveled enough the old way, I can learn the class at level 80

I believe off-hand pistol will be the most likely thing, since Rytlock have one.

I’m kind of hoping for off-hand dagger, that can apply a lot of Vuln/give an Evade and a skill that does a ton of damage to a target under 50%

With the NPE, and how leveling and stuff is changed. I can see it getting stale around the mid 30s. You get trait points a lot slower, and they’re harder to unlock. What weapons/skills are you using? Those could effect, Engineer is pretty fun kit dancing with grenades/flamethrower/elixir gun. Guardian I don’t have much experience with.

Elementalist is a lot of fun, though if you run stuff it’s rotation isn’t the most exciting, but you can do sooooo much damage

My best guesses are off-hand weapons,

1: Being a pistol. Rytlock used this. Could have a multi shot attack that applies some condition (maybe vuln or bleed) and a hard hitting pistol bash attack

2: A Torch. Feels commandery, Fire Field, lots of burning and a blast finisher

3: Off-hand Dagger with powerful attacks on foes that are under 50%

I can agree with a 5% damage boost added to it instead of it effecting spears. Change Slashing Power in Strength to effect Axe/Sword/Greatsword

Meta is Meta and there will always be a Meta that people will conform too. Nothing can change that. There will always be a most efficient way

My fear is, with Ranger’s getting Staves. We’ll have Bearstaff Rangers and it’ll be worse than Bearbows

Recently remade my Mesmer into an Elementalist, named her after Ilyana from Fire Emblem who is a Thunder Mage

Only way I can see off-hand axe being viable is if skill 4 got a damage increase and if skill 5 did equal damage to Hundred Blades. The tradeoff for being able to move is a longer cool down

I have to agree that a lot of armor on charr (mainly the pants) doesn’t look good. The pants always look really inflated. However you can still make some cool armor sets, I like this one I made a lot.

Thought it was battle, or maybe I had that for in general and forgot.

So, Sigil of Strength over Battle for Warrior Phalanx build now?

1: New class. Anet said it would be a soldier class. They could add a Dervish style class (not an actual Dervish) where they focus on enchantments and ripping enchantments (not to be confused with boons) also adding Scythe’s and Greataxe’s to the game.

Could also be a Ritualist in a sense. Profession skill could be 3-4 binding rituals. They could have weapon spells for some utility skills, that apply to 5 nearby allies (For example, Splinter Weapon: You and nearby allies do X damage to foes when cleaving. 10 seconds, cool down 30 seconds)

2: If this is an expansion I’m assuming the Maguuma Jungle would be fully expanded upon or mostly, for new maps and stuff

3: New race. Tengu is the only logical and realistic choice.

4: Lots of new skills/traits/weapons added to each class

My opinion on all 3 elite skills.

Glyph of Elementals:

Fire: Needs to do more damage, it’s kind of lackluster for how low it’s health is. I suggest to make it more like the Fire Elemental Powder

Water: This one seems fine, powerful heal but it takes way too long to cast.

Air: Good for when you need it to stay back for damage to live longer. Though I’m not familiar with its functionality due to not using it much

Earth: Good position. Very tanky as it should be

Tornado: Should pulse damage every second. The skill effects need to change. With Skill 1 selected: Hit twice each pulse and apply 1 stack of vuln. Skill 2 Blind for 3 seconds every other pulse. Skills 3: Knockdown every 3rd pulse.

Knock back happens every other pulse. Increased damage overall

Fiery Greatsword: Auto-attack is now melee, and cleaves. Has a melee chain, applying 1 second of burning on the final hit. Damage equivalent to lightning hammer. Fiery hits a little harder than Warrior’s Rush and applies cripple.
