I think what he is saying is this:

Main map is full and after this:

Red teams (combined) muster 1,000 players.
Green teams (combined) muster 1,00 players.
Blue teams (combined) muster 5000 players.

If the maps can hold 100 players per colour each, then red teams have enough to fill their allocation in 10 overflows, green teams have enough to fill 10 overflows, blue can only fill their allocation in 5 overflows. Or will all 2500 players be put into a huge pot and distributed unequally across fewer overflows?

Will there be 5 overflows with nobody from blue in, or will the 500 blues be distributed across those overflows and be under strength?

I don’t know how overflows work, so I don’t know.

So answer me this, why should LS be tied to PvE and not all parts of the game? Maybe as a WvW player i to would like to enjoy story driven elements. If you shouldn’t have to play WvW to do LS stuff, then i shouldn’t have to do PvE to do LS stuff.

Because PvE is accessible to all. For reasons of either disability or computer performance, WvWvW is NOT accessible to all.

I never said that this would happen, just a concept that occurred to me.

MarzAttakz – I guess that if I am right you would look as normal to each other. The ‘generic’ models would only appear to enemy players just like the stock models that appear as opposition in WvW.

It was just wild ideas that came to me. We are supposed to fight Aetherblades in EOTM. We will be fighting rival server players in EOTM. 2 and 2. Just a possibility :p

Now I am not suggesting that Anet plans to allow PKing in regular LA, but on other maps who knows?

I won’t be playing it, and neither will a lot of people.

There is no physical limitation to WvWers getting whatever they want in PvE worlds or participating in PvE activity.

There -is- a physical limitation to PvE players getting whatever they want in WvW worlds and participating in WvW activity.

That limitation is PKs (player-killers). Some of us cannot, will not or just don’t want to participate in PK activity, causing failure and anger for others for our own amusement.

Simple. If I am forced to WvWvW for this update, I am boycotting it. I recommend all others who want to play their way, as the game read-up says you can, to do the same.

Wow am I getting some grief from one guy because he thought I was disrespectful as commander. I am watching enemies, barricades, golem health, my health, immobbing, and he wants me to use airs and graces. I don’t have the time!

I wouldn’t play Tengu since the armour would clip even worse than on Charr, and Anet would have NO interest in fixing it, like on Charr.

Focus = buckler shield.

Dislike. I think it is the top of a slippery slope towards P2W.

I don’t think so. A Warrior with a staff… doesn’t make much sense

How does a warrior with a staff make any less sense than a Ranger with a greatsword, or a Guardian with a scepter, or an Elementalist with 2 daggers…

Or a rabbit puller illusionist with a pistol when a trained Warrior doesn’t seem to be able to use one.

And as Thaddeus says, Ranger means “Outdoorsman”. Range as in Home On The Range etc, a large parcel of land.

The main advantage is for people who don’t listen to commands and appreciate just WHY you spent 100g on a badge to have you as an excuse for their shortcomings.

I 100% agree. It seems that the developers of this game almost have an intention to reduce or eliminate individuality and roleplay and instead focus us all on how they want us to play. I’m sure this isn’t the case, but it sometimes FEELS that way.

Question to any dev: I have to load Salma/Heros Canton every time I load the respective cities. It is possible that I have to load Dreamer’s Terrace/Hunter’s Hearth and Applied Development Lab each time too. What is the actual reason for the block to entering these places uninstanced? Will it crash the game/corrupt files if we were allowed unfettered access?

I think not. Roleplaying in this game seems, for the most part, recanting your character’s life story over and over in taverns ad nauseum.

I have said for years that computer game roleplaying is not, and never will be, as good as pen and paper roleplaying. Everything in GW2 from the blocks on home instances, to the personal story, to the incessantly repetitive NPC speak in anywhere roleplaying is likely to occur, seem to reinforce that opinion in spades.

Sometimes it seems like the game is structured in such a way as to promote a play style of “Collect this, do this, kill this, buy this, be a robot” based mentality where individualism is suppressed.

My ranger does fine DPS. LB is fine in group also, just dont touch #4. #2 and #5 are fine skills.

Its easy. TC just completed a golden strike, all 5 down first attempt, and I doubt we were the first.

I had this today. Could use Shouts but nothing else.

I had GS/Rifle equipped and Healing Signet, Bolas, 2 shouts and Battle Standard. Never used Bolas before and the 3 times I equip them, I either lose skills or DC.

Seems it was a partial disconnect. Just got disco’d properly and only got into overflow once their battle was over. All I could do was loot the bodies… I mean res them.

Hyenas don’t howl either… that REALLY grinds my gears. It is completely anatomically impossible for a Hyena to vocalise with its head high.

Darn, now its happened twice in a row. All I could do till I was downed was use shouts. What made it worse is, the mobs in the lanes didnt attack me, so I couldnt get downed. WPing didnt help.

It is infinitely possible with all 5, and the more people who do several runs, the more likelihood of success.

People wanted raid content. We get raid (ish) content. Win or lose you get fragments, which means cyphers, which means TONS of goodies.

Win or lose, you come away richer. Plus, its fun too!

I just got commander tag and debated which chara to put it on. I finally chose this one.

Mind = blown. Anyone else noticed that armour feature before?

Once a few people beat it, more will flock since it no longer seems a lost cause.

Then it will die off into the darkness, fought only by specialist guilds and the occasional unfortunate newbie who thinks its a regular dynamic event. May Grenth have mercy on their souls.
