Even if I have no interest in relationships at all, I would like to see more community options in the game. Even if it is only to be able to name your own ‘squad’, within or without a guild (profanity filter locked firmly to ‘on’ of course). Player/guild housing should be a staple and since this game is now 2 years old with no sign of it appearing, I cannot believe that it ever will.
The way that Anet treats the RP side of its game is nonchalant at best and callous at worst.
So yes, I think the ability to ‘marry’ or ‘bond’ a couple with a simple text function is both realistic and easy to implement. However, I highly doubt that such an option will ever exist. Anet doesn’t like giving people options, it seems.
11 characters, 2 MCs, deleted my gifts of exp since none of the Legendaries as much as raises an eyebrow with me.
Which is what I am saying. More people, more challenge. Return Orr to how it was with far MORE opposition, whether more Risen or a new form.
It is far too easy now, since you are rarely more than a stone’s throw away from someone else. The challenge should be reintroduced.
… PLEASE return Orr to its pre-nerf state!
It shouldn’t be easy. You should be on edge, peeking round corners to get as much situational awareness of what horrors await you. Orr should be a challenge, a place where you feel lucky to escape with your life.
Now, it is like a Zombie Disneyland. Nothing is dangerous with 15 other players near you. There are parts of Kessex which are more frightening.
No open RP in Divinitys anymore.
Really looking for a new game to play now, the RP was all I had left to keep me interested.
Engineer minimum range flamethrower bug would also like a chat.
Race changing will happen right after they release Back To The Future 4.
Aka, never.
“What’s in a name? That which we call a rose
By any other name would smell as sweet.”
Because Berserker’s Pearl Crusher of Bloodlust doesn’t sound half as catchy as Magmaton. Simples.
My beautiful Magmaton has been renamed something like Pearl Crusher of Bloodlust. I want my Magmaton back!
You could also use backstraps to remove account binding on back items, but the new costume system makes that redundant.
So now someone who communicates naturally in German, French or Spanish but has a functional ability with English is unable to ask for assistance in game. Best of it all, Anet doesn’t even tell anyone in-game that this is the case.
By Anets own admission, most players do NOT use the forums.
I’m pretty sure there would be a legal case here, if someone wanted to pursue it. Most stupid idea yet.
I have been doing map completion in Fields of Ruin. Noone from Tarrnished Coast (as I am). I get criticised by 3 people and told “TC is that way →” when I simply mention the fact that as a human, I feel awkward killing humans (separatists) to aid the charr.
At this stage, I am wishing there was a game out there that interests me more than GW2.
Its 2 damage scores that just happened to line up right
Basically, it sounds like a challenge at last. Excellent.
How many of those people have not reassigned their traits, because they don’t realise they have been refunded?
Meet Bittsi. She is a level 2 3 necromancer. And she isn’t scared of Ebonhawke!
http://i.imgur.com/6M8k1IQ.jpg
Firstly, you want to get the POI in the centre of town. It may become difficult to reach later because of a dynamic event.
http://i.imgur.com/eRFMkx2.jpg
Go and speak to Commander Varalyn. Behind her in the courtyard are 3 broken thumper turrets. Fix them. Then head to the training ground to the north where there are 4 more.
http://i.imgur.com/MkG3wkw.jpg
Further north, there are several more turrets in this prison yard. A dynamic event WILL start when you go in (a prison break). Don’t worry, the enemies do not turn hostile until they are away from the yard. Fix the turrets, then head back south and counter-clockwise around the town. By now you will be about 50% through that heart. Don’t wait for the turrets to respawn.
http://i.imgur.com/zfQgjl3.jpg
Ignore the vista for now, we’ll come back to it. Grab the POI and Skill Point (Gwen’s Grave), and then head out to the east and into the mine for the POI there. Keep away from bats that are around Skittish Miners, or any that are in combat with NPCs.
http://i.imgur.com/1zZA0CL.jpg
Return to the town and turn immediate right. You now need to destroy Seperatist posters. DO NOT knock on suspicious doors, and if there is a dynamic event going on here you will have to return later. There are some more posters in the streets closer to the central square.
http://i.imgur.com/kkEGWcS.jpg
Some posters are sneaky and require jumping to reach, like the one up here:
http://i.imgur.com/1YR8wca.jpg
You can also talk to the Separatist Sympathisers for exp. They won’t fight you, and are surprisingly easy to talk round.
http://i.imgur.com/TSz6l5K.jpg
Continue counter-clockwise to the north entrance and outside. Jump along the cliff and across some planks to this Vista.
http://i.imgur.com/JadDz6V.jpg
Back into town and go counter-clockwise past the crafting stalls back to the prison yard. Don’t worry, the Seperatist Leader who escaped earlier is not going to chase you. Fix these turrets, then the ones in the training yard, and finally the ones you fixed first last time (behind Valaryn) to complete the heart, as well as levelling up.

Do NOT start this skill point:

Or annoy these chickens!
http://i.imgur.com/MfqmaWZ.jpg
Pass behind those chickens right to the corner of the cliff and jump up the cliffside to reach the Vista and celebrate your easy EXP level!

…as well as 3 silver!

If you look at the time stamp, the entire thing took 16 minutes. Easiest EXP level you will ever obtain.
2x Krytan armour skins. Well, better than nothing!
So you paid £17 for 1600 gems, to buy 2 slots… instead of getting 5 for £17.99.
Sounds like a good deal
You should have played in Orr before they drastically reduced the enemy population. You run away from one mob, and aggro another. There were very few safe places.
It was great! I say – bring back the high density!
Anet are concerned that Russia would invade the Shiverpeaks and hold a ‘referendum’ for it to secede
I jump down the right side of the slide and deliberately aim for the stalagmites. You get falling damage when you slam into them, but it’s not enough to kill you. You can then jump off it again and land in the water; you might get some falling damage while sliding, but the shorter distance means it now won’t kill you either.
That never worked at first. Can’t remember exactly when but between 6-8 months after GW2 went open, it changed so that you had a safe path down the right. Now that has been ‘fixed’ – so the right wall method doesn’t work anymore.
I didn’t know that he teleports you back to the top
In Ebonhawke, there are some missions (destroy Seperatist posters to the north, repair damaged turrets to the south) and dynamic events (herding cows), that do not require combat. Because you are in an area that is so much higher than your own, the rewards scale up, so if you can keep your wits about you and avoid combat (aka only do the tasks that do not require you to fight), you can get quite an XP boost.
Basically, stay in the city, and avoid confrontation. If a fight starts near you, get away from it
Which is why I wouldn’t do it, unless it was a mechanic designed into the game
Which is a kitten shame, since I want to RP 2 of my characters at the same time. sigh
That would be awesome (and against TOS maybe?)..imagine you having 50 accounts…you could run a full zerg ON YOUR OWN LOL
:P

In the system I would propose, the Follower character (one extra only) would auto-follow, and only use autoattack, the same as NPCs. You would be able to select which of the Follower’s skills would be its autoattack. There would be a toggle settable for which name was used during chat. To swap characters, you would have to return to character select screen and assign your Leader and Follower.
To approach the question from a slightly different angle the only thing you can’t do is use a macro program to control both at once. It’s part of the 1 key press = 1 action rule.
If you’re logged into two accounts and controlling one the other one should be standing still or running in a straight line on auto-run. If you set it up so both move, fight, loot etc. together then that’s against the rules and could get you banned.
Which is a kitten shame, since I want to RP 2 of my characters at the same time. sigh
Personally, I do well enough with a bowcaster spirit build. Its my dungeoneering choice using Drakehound and Raven or Hyena. The shortbow has the fastest ranged fire speed in the game and doesn’t aggro enemies unnecessarily like the thief shortbow does, and longbow #2 and #5 are highly useful for making enemies vulnerable and crippling them en masse. Along with Opening Strike on pet and ranger, I can lay down hideous amounts of vuln on enemies, making it useful for group play. LB is also pretty much required for Claw of Jormag with its range traited for 1500.
Solo, however, I prefer sword/axe or GS with SB or LB and signets.
And as Belzebu says, ranger is more in terms of ‘outdoorsman’ or ‘nature skills’ rather than solely archery.
First thing I do is:
Explore all cities using the asura portals in Gendarren.
Go through the portal in Rurikton to Ebonhawke and do all the hearts/vistas/POIs in the city. Do not activate the skill point at the bottom left, and DO NOT ATTACK THE CHICKENS!!!
Make the slightly perilous journey from Gendarren Vigil Keep to Lion’s Arch. Keep to the paths and RUN if any enemies are alerted.
Once LA is done, go south to Bloodtide and follow the path to the camp there. Do the skill points in that area. Then take the balloon to Lornar’s and get the skill point in the Priory.
WP back to home city and do personal story till I reach my character’s current level plus one, and then finish my starter zone.
A quick, and relatively safe way to get to level 15 in a few hours.
Edit:
Once you have all the points of interest/vistas in Divinity’s Reach (don’t forget Salma District which can only be accessed by the gate on the inner ring), go through the purple portal in the centre to get to Gendarren.

Meanwhile in Beetletun Manor:
“Next time that blasted Lodgemaster sends a **** boar’s head, I want HIS head hunted and added to that pile!”
If you have placed the armour skins on items, transmuting them onto basic (white) label items should make them account bound. This MUST be done before you delete the current character or you wont be able to access them later.
When I unpacked mine for my new account, I got one of each armour piece PLUS an extra full skin.
Right, anything you had on the character you deleted is lost BUT… wait till the 15th and the clothing items you chose (Primevil, Krytan, Profane) will become account-wide unlock skins and you will be able to access them again. The Mistfire Wolf is account bound. Not sure about banker golem. The XP boosts however will be lost unless you transferred them to your account bank.
I found that my first character took a while since I was new to the game, 3-4th were fastest* since I knew the game mechanics, and now they get slower and slower as I get bored of levelling.
*not counting the 3 I craft levelled before the pointless crafting nerf.
Not happening, it would throw off your personal story and some utilities. You can change gender, but not species or order.
I levelled my first character and was most of the way through my second before I knew about guilds. Back then there was no LFG, only the websites and I didn’t know about them.
Part of why I moved from the EU servers to US was because I had always had negative experiences on EU servers in ANY game I played, and much better experiences on US servers (APB: Reloaded, Crimecraft). Suddenly I found that rather than being shouted at for talking in chat, as happened often on EU servers, or finding that noone else on map knew English, there were actual conversations going on! People were calling out events in map chat! On EU servers, I got ridiculed for asking simple questions since GW2 was my first MMO’RPG’, in the US, people always offered help.
It still took me a while before I found a guild (I believe a guild is not something you join but something you are invited to, once you find/prove that you are compatible with current members), but generally I found EU servers to be very insular and cliqueish places. Piken Square appears to be an exception to that rule.
What I want: World bosses and champions take a day off, leaving sick notes nailed to signposts.
It just sucks if you have multiple abyss/celestial/midnights/other rare dyes, because now all that money you spent after the first just made you the proud owner of the most expensive common dyes in the game!
For RP reasons, I hate waypoints. So while I accept that mounts will never come, it won’t stop me dreaming of a mount with a 50% speed increase.
I want a Charr battle bike SO kitten much! But it won’t happen
Transferred my account bound Mad King’s Tome to a new character… and subsequently deleted the character.

I used to slide down the very right side and hit the rocks there without damage, before continuing. That does not work anymore. Personally, I think that it was the intention for there to be no easy way down and for whatever reason, it was made/became easier. The ELFA appears to have made it as it originally was.
Yeah, pretty much. Actually if I could toggle bind viewpoint to the mouse, and left click to reveal cursor (release to select), that would be pretty much ideal.
Hm… I’m afraid I don’t get it. Could you list what each binding in your scenario does and how it works step by step?
Well, camera would be bound to mouse movement, as with most FPS/TPS games rather than MMO. However, this would preclude the use of the cursor for clicking items/menus. Leftclick is currently used only for running. In the system I would personally prefer, leftclick would reveal cursor for use (adjustable to be either toggle or hold on-stay on, and rightclick (or releasing leftclick on a menu/object) would select/open/perform that function.
Nope. I lose the cursor (the arrow) constantly during combat. When I then need to move, it is sometimes tucked up the corner or something, costing me valuable time while I re-find it to move.
Ah, I see now – I also lose cursor every now and then because I’m running a very high resolution. Hm… I think it can be achieved in the following way:
Yeah, pretty much. Actually if I could toggle bind viewpoint to the mouse, and left click to reveal cursor (release to select), that would be pretty much ideal.
Sorted it – Maxthon browser’s ‘magic fill’ for passwords and such was the culprit!
Cheers, I’ll try that!
I just bought a digital copy of GW2 and want to register it on another email address with different details etc. I go to register, it has autofilled the form with the email address and password for THIS account, and if I put in the new details it keeps rejecting me.
Anyone ever put 2 accounts on one PC, and if so, how did you get it to work? Cheers.
Achievements > General> Weapon Master > Shield Master would like a word, too.
I wish you hadn’t mentioned this. Now I will be forced to purchase a second account.
Curse you, Villain!
Add: persistent cursor so we don’t lose it mid combat and end up dying because we can’t mouse turn to evade/run away.
I believe you’re talking about #8 and #9.
Nope. I lose the cursor (the arrow) constantly during combat. When I then need to move, it is sometimes tucked up the corner or something, costing me valuable time while I re-find it to move.
Why can’t they just let -us- decide what clips/looks good and what does not?
