Cantha was by far my favourite land to explore. They were all great but the music in cantha was just brilliant.

I know of someone really lame, used to be in our guild, who spent $1000 real money to convert gems to gold to buy twilight. About 1-2 months into the game. He complained skill points and karma were so hard to get. Because he couldn’t buy them with his or his parents credit cards. Even at that point in the game skill points and karma were always the easiest part. We all kept laughing at him so he left the guild. I mean $1000 come on hahaha.

I only just made my first legendary a few weeks ago, bolt, I love it, but as for seeing other people with them, it doesn’t phase me because you don’t know if they earned it or duel wielded credit cards.

This tends to happen when there are many players on the area. I think the solution for it is just do it with a small group but it’s not likely going to happen because everyone wants their precious boxes. For the second event, there aren’t much trouble there but there is sometimes someone there to screw up by killing cauldrons.

God forbid people want to progress past anchorage WP and do the gates of arah event which also gives the same loot bags, instead of farming the fire elemental, failing the event, and starting again just to exploit the event to farm fire elementals. There are plenty of other champs in that zone and especially events that you can upscale to lots of champs with a lot of people, which we were doing on Day 1 of the patch. We felt no need to farm the fire elementals because of this, and neither should you. Oh and you can’t do that farm with ‘small group’s because the mobs won’t upscale to champs.

I’ve also never seen those npc’s have any trouble, and this whole “everyone must guard” thing is non existent, and I’ve never seen it either.

Too much scripting for thousands of npc’s for thousands of different variables for 8 professions for 5 races. And they’d only be acknowledging one player at a time. I don’t really play mmo’s for that, or want it in them lol. I’ll play an elder scrolls game for variable npc dialogue!

Gw1 had an npc in an out of the way outpost south east of rata sum, he calls out a random person and commented on one of their achievements, it was nifty but was also meh, he’d be cool to have near the LA bank though.

Your comparing unique profession abilities to a boon that is widely available to everyone except mesmer. Not exactly an equivalent comparison.

There is also boon called protection that all classes have acsess to except warrior. There is also another boon available to all classes but necro, its called stability.

OP is asking for more power on already top tier class, which is egzactly what i was asking for warrior. Difference is, i wassn’t serious about it.

Also people need to reread the OP. Mesmers don’t really need “combat mobility” it’s more about a speed increase from getting to point A to point B. Every single other class has easy access to longer durations of swiftness or a speed signet and mesmers just get the shaft. I have 6 characters at lvl 80 and I still agree that mesmers could use SOMETHING for getting around WvW faster since Anet isn’t going to make mounts anytime soon. This is extremely noticeable since I have played other classes, if you haven’t then maybe you should rethink your opinion before you post.

For wvw?? NO. It’s a pvp/competitive environment. Are you insane or not very smart?? And MOUNTS?? What on earth are you thinking buddy. NO.

If you want speed in wvw hang around someone who can provide it for you, just like how mes can provide portals for others and they can’t. Which you should be doing anyway as you’re meant to be combining classes together to make use of their abilities.

Warrior has a number of reliable means of getting Swiftness. Warhorn, all the banners, Signet of Rage. As well as the sword and greatsword which can greatly improve mobility.
Mesmer has 2 skills that give swiftness, one of which does so randomly, and one teleport on a long cooldown. Also one of the swiftness skills will only give it if you don’t have it already.
Warriors: mobile. Mesmers: glacial.

Warrior, not gimmicky. Mesmer, gimmicky.

Guards don’t have speed signet either, or engi. And mes certainly doesn’t need one along with gimmick clones playing for you, and gimmick stealth. Suck it up. And the portal item can’t be used in wvw so who cares?

Giving mes a speed sig (even if pve only) means it would be useable in wvw, that’s a no.

I have 9 characters, so is this what I am to expect?
- 9 mini queen jennah’s
- 9 experience scrolls (on top of the two I have from massive achievement chests)
- 9 “24 hour birthday boosters”

Whatever the booster…boosts, is the only non trash thing here.

9 mini queen jennah’s, account bound and worthless like mini risen balthazar, will hopefully be forgeable, but even if it is then they will be of blue rarity not exotic or rare.

9 experience scrolls (instant character to level 20). Worthless because I’m not making 11 new characters, only 2 or 3 more. Account bound, so you can’t even sell them to new players or people who want 100 characters (0.00005% of players).

What’s with the lazy not exciting birthday gift? One character or multiple characters, makes no difference.

Here we had a collection of minis, that were tradable and sellable. Sure some people got lucky and made easy platinum off of them, who cares, but even if you got a double you could trade it for a different one. No body wants 9 queen jennahs just like they don’t want 50 risen Balthazar. I’m not saying make a collection of minis each year like gw1, just don’t give me 9 of the same one that nothing can be done with.

You still have time to make a worthy change to this.

Suggestion: mail everyone the mini. Change what is in the gift, removing experience scroll of course.

It’s great to be receiving content that isn’t a faceroll on ones keyboard. The gauntlet (while occasionally frustrating due to the camera) is exactly what the game needs to engage the more skilled players, and the players who are bored of not being actively challenged.

It also teaches players to use their defensive skills and dodges in the right situations and to save them for the right times, which is a big plus for the entire community.

The ‘account bound’ aspect of the gauntlet allowing you to change classes is great for experimenting and not being forced to play one character, maybe fractals could get in on that action?

It is alarming to see the amount of people calling for nerfs, just because they cannot faceroll it. And I genuinely hope the complaints of those people will not influence future content! Please keep the great challenges coming.

But one suggestion for future content would be to have challenging content (or more challenging tiers of the content) labelled as a challenge in either NPC dialogue or in the achievement description, to try limit the amount of complaining from people who want to take challenges away from other players and dumb games down.

Did today’s “daily jubilee achievement” in the hopes it would pop the chest. Nope.

Here you’ll see the 16/16, after completing balloon towers, and does not show up as recently completed. No points, no mini.

There are only 13 Jubilee achievements listed for the event, and the Jubilee Completionist requires 16. To get the other 3 to then finish the achievement, you must do 3 Jubilee related daily tasks.

Yes, but that is not the issue here. 16/16 is complete, but it gave no mini or the 50 achievement points. Under the jubilee achieves it says it is done, never gave the points or the mini, and was not listed in recently completed. So really hoping this gets sorted out, don’t wanna be the 0.1% that misses out on 50 points from a bug like this! I’ll upload the screenies a bit later.

Finished the Balloon Tower Tourist as the 16th achievement needed for this meta achievement. Was given the chest with the balloon toy, and did not receive the Queen’s Jubilee Completionist achievement, the 50 points or the mini watchknight. It shows it completed, but does not show it on the “recently completed” section of the Summary page.

May also happen with torch run achievement chest.

The conditions aren’t what is op, they can easily be removed. What’s op is the undying engi’s and ele’s tanking 4 people and never getting downed, perma protection and no-recharge-mass-condition removals on both of those classes is the problem.

That’s 2 dailies in the last few weeks unable to be completed. Not even sure how a simple check like using karma can break lets be honest. Needs more conspiracy theories.

Events are designed to be completed. Not designed so that people purposefully fail them so you can farm it. That is abusing game mechanics to the max and can get you banned. It also gets event chains nerfed for everyone else who doesn’t abuse them.

You have 0 right to get on anyone’s case or tell them to go leave when they want to complete an event the way that was intended. So if you want to farm it go to a server that isn’t open until some people that are playing the game they way it was meant to be come along of course. Pretty simple stuff.

No one wants to do Arah. Also, guest if you REALLY want to (For whatever reason…) The reason people farm it is because it’s currently the only place in the game to actually make money, and it’s not incredibly boring. Not stupid 0.5% profits with crafting or CoF P1 spamming or pure blind luck. The game NEEDS stuff like this, with DIMINISHING RETURNS REMOVED FROM THE GAME IN ALL ASPECTS. Your whinging is utterly pathetic. Why you don’t join in is beyond me. Do you get enjoyment out of being a dud to everybody and ruining things for other people?

I’ve personally told people which server has Arah open to guest to and do the dungeon, but people like you just want to be complete kittening kittenwits to everybody around them, and you PROFUSELY REFUSE to guest to the server that YOU HAVE BEEN KINDLY TOLD has Arah open.

Now the AP is actually worth something, they thought of a more fitting token of appreciation for players of their first and legendarily great game (I recommend buying it by the way just for the sake of playing something unique that you’ll never experience again).

Lets not forget that HoM was INTENDED to link GW1 to GW2 in some way shape or form.

Should a player such as myself who played GW1 for 7 years not be shown a small token of appreciation for being a loyal player/customer to their business/franchise? One that does not impact the game in a negative way for other players?

One small chest that has no influence on the game, or some pathetic leaderboard kitten that has no influence on the game is what’s causing you woe? Get some life perspective.

Honestly I wouldn’t care if HoM was worth 0. Some of the skins are alright and are as follows:
Heavy armour (except the helmet) is great.
Greatsword is great (no pun intended).
Sword is great.
Hammer is great.
Fiery vambraces are great.
Scepter is great.
Focus is great for nostalgia.
Medium armour face mask is great.

The rest? Pretty average (Especially the Light/Medium Armour) and could of been easily topped by some of the more iconic skins from the original installment of GW1. (Storm bow, Chaos axe, Draconic aegis to name a few.)

Now, this is what 500 points represents in GW2 time.
1 month of doing all the dailies + the monthly itself, that is approximately 500 points. BIG WHOOP.

If you never played GW1, you can’t make judgement on something you know nothing about.

500 points is nothing…. why the hell are you non GW1 babies crying? Get your life priorities straight. Frankly, I and many others wish they added a few additional bonuses for people who achieved 50/50 hom points or HIGHER (In a technical sense, near maxing the entire thing would put it to 70/50) instead of leaving the rewards at 35/50 and not adding more but hey we don’t even care, but the non GW1 players are whinging, it’s pathetic really.

For all you people who never played GW1, 50 points per achievement is nothing compared to the time invested in them, . I suggest buying GW1, you’ll never play another game better than it in your life.

Warning: GW1 requires skill, talent, problem solving and dedication not see by any modern games, play only as directed, see a doctor if rage symptoms persist.

It’s 500 points. It’s one chest. Build a bridge and get over it, or you know, play GW1 and get it yourself. GW1 possessed challenges not seen by many/any modern era games, GW2 will also never have any challenges like GW1, but you won’t ever understand, because you wasted your time playing a bad game like WoW.

Half the HoM skins are terrible compared to what could of been put in (Storm bow for the longbow skin for instance, an iconic bow since release, instead of the ugly bland one they used (which was a EOTN skin)). Or the chaos axe (Another iconic axe since day 1 release) for the axe skin, instead of the Nightfall stygian axe. You wouldn’t know though because you obviously never played GW1.

Yep I had the privilege to be on Yaks Bend today for 10 minutes, entire green map (Dragonbrand). Current system in a nutshell.

My friends account is in Yaks Bend. Also matched with Maguuma and Dragonbrand.

Dragonbrand currently owns 95% of wvw.

Again SoS is matched up with TC, how to compete.

Anet, kitten? Cap player numbers based on each servers current population per map, or go back to the old system, thank you.

These new match ups are not competitive, the old system at least had that.

First attempt right when the content opened took me 10 mins. Takes me ~2 minutes top to bottom. There are plenty of mechanics/UI/convenience issues missing in this game, yet you complain about this JP/Diving achivement.

SoS paired up with TC for the 3rd time in 4 weeks, awesome…..? No.

I’ve never been a full on WvWer, I’d fit in maybe 5-10 hours of it a week.
I’ve only played 1 hour in the last FOUR weeks, because the match ups are a depressing joke.

The only way you can make these dumb match ups work, is to apply an evolving player cap limit to each map that gets bigger or smaller depending on the amount of players from other servers currently in a given WvW map.

Example for Borderlands:
(Minimum player cap could be set to 10 or 15 for example so you can still PvDoor an empty map)
Borderland Defenders get player limit = to total number of invaders +30% extra
Borderland Invaders (Both invader servers) get a player limit = to half the number of defenders before the extra 30% calculation, then +2.
(Then if invaders leave, defender cap reduces, but the current players can stay until they leave map.)

And EB can stay an ungodly mess, or have a cap formula something along the lines of
1.2 players per 1 per server until server has the most players by 5 or 10 on top of the other servers.

^Even this is ridiculous, but its the only way to make your random match up RNG trash viable, the bigger server will still have a slight coverage advantage, but it’ll tame the game. Thank you for reading my drivel.

Edit: Oh and our rebuilding server is now losing guilds because they’re sick of these match ups. Way to solve nothing.

I was on 4/5 for daily completion, my events were 4/5, when i finished my last event, it caused me to level up at the same time and i got no daily reward.

Completing 2 tasks at once breaks the reward.

This is what happens when you fix what aint broken!

JQ cant win tier 1, but they can certainly prove to be masters of camping EB JP.

I must ask though, isn’t it boring manning a ballista waiting for someone to climb out of the pit? JQ, masters of boredom.

Anyway, you get badges by kills at random, or by killing upgraded lord npc in keeps/camps.
