Please and thanks.
My take on all of this is, Anet has put condition caps in place to limit the server side calculations, but apparently there is more than enough server power there to calculate all these conditions reflections, against massive numbers too.
The best is watching everyone trying to use projectiles on him.
Magic users don’t have much else.
Epilepsy Warning For Scarlet Hologram Fight
in Battle for Lion’s Arch - Aftermath
Posted by: Herr der Friedhoefe.2490
A couple of the Orr cathedral fights are bad that way too. To be honest, I can’t imagine an epileptic being able to play this game.
That way the fight can last 2 hours, rather than a measly 90 minutes.
Do players on servers T3 and above want to be divided up equally across all the other servers?
Much better question, and NO we don’t want forced server merge. We play here for a reason, including being able to play when I want, on the map I want to play on.
That mini jumping puzzle in Diessa is not easy. I hate jumping puzzles.
Thank you. That is a much cheaper option than the ice cream recipes, even with the 20 minute time limit.
Has anyone found any other karma buff food other than ice cream?
Artificer potions? Anything else?
Who thinks up these things!?!
Game developers who think their customers are stupid, and I’m not just talking about Anet here. I’ve seen this sort of thinking many times in the past.
Hmm, are patches server-specific? For instance, you harvest all the grapes in Tarnished Coast, then guest to Blackgate. Would the grapes still be harvested?
If not, then you could possibly get grapes each time in EotM from that patch as long as it was a different overflow each time.
This doesn’t work. I regularly guest to Desolation for large scale PvE events and lately while I’ve been there I go get the grapes in Lornar’s Pass. When I go back to my home server, they’re missing as well, until the next day.
I’ve also tested this with the Strawberry patches, which are a lot harder to get to.

Believe me, there have been enough threads on this exact topic that all we can do now is assume that it’s “working as intended”, and yup, we got shafted.
… and we keep asking for this…
Claw of Jormag suddenly shows up and freezes the ground the zerg is standing on?
No thanks. Please leave PvE, our of WvW.
Didn’t like it from the start, still don’t. This was probably the biggest single reason why I stopped playing on the borderlands, and why I stopped claiming stuff there too. I liked the quaagan weather nodes and there were plenty of small scale fights that went on underwater. Defending your quaggan node was a part of defending your keep.
The GvG crowd was never interested in staging their fights there so it never really took off. Too bad, because the 3D aspect of underwater fighting changes things radically.
I don’t hold out much hope for this part of the game, mostly because the guy in charge doesn’t listen or act on what players want, or don’t want. Ego’s Ascent, indeed.
Slightly off topic, but I haven’t contributed to the EoTM CDI for good reason. There is plenty that I don’t like about that map too, so I just don’t play there.
That run the other night happened purely on speculation. Not one grape was consumed. Guess what’s going to happen when we get the Gift of Wine recipe?
I can’t imagine that anyone likes time gates in any game.
What are you spending Found Belongings on?

You’re going to need a lot of Watchwork Sprocket for that ascended back piece.
So long as Anet/NCSoft sell character slots, we won’t see a race change or class change item.
I think more people would use a race change kit on a character they have spent hundreds/thousands of hours on, rather than making a completely new one and start all over.
I have no doubt players would prefer a race change kit. Anet and NCSoft would prefer to have their money and the simplest solution from dev perspective is the character slot.

It’s been suggested before. NCSoft is in charge of the coin mall, so it won’t happen.
10k grapes is plenty? When every gift so far requires 250?
You could be right about the elonian wine though. It wouldn’t surprise me if we need both.
(edited by Herr der Friedhoefe.2490)
Dulfy mentioned this on her guide to creating the new ascended back piece. Apparently we’ll be able to add color to the new back pieces. Of course, we’re going to need a lot of grapes, and guess what?
There basically aren’t any on the TP.
Even if we only need 1 grape to add color to the back piece, people farming them are going to get rich. I hope we get more news on Tuesday.
Mesmer staff skills push you in to all sorts of poorly designed terrain features. Waypoints are your only way out. That, and change your weapons.
Thank you, but I will remain wary until I see what they decide.
I put a ton of effort into my celestial ascended gear and I’m not making a 2nd set of any sort of ascended gear for another character. I just blew off the last of my Elonian leather for one ascended spinal backpiece, so I doubt I’m ever going make another one of those too.
But you know, Anet doesn’t make grindy games…
Honestly….
At the moment I don’t recommend you make any celestial all-stat gear. Anet has said they’re doing “something” with crit dmg gear because ‘zerker gear" is OP in the game. Unfortunately for Anet, crit dmg is the last remaining useful stat on Celestial gear, and they don’t really know how to respond to us.
To be fair, ANet acknowledged that Celestial is getting hit the hardest by the ferocity change, and have said they’re considering raising the overall stats to make up for it.
Please show me where they said that.
Go search “celestial” on the trading post.
You’ll find your recipes there. Have a nice day.
You cannot discover those recipes, you have to buy them from what’s left of an event, maybe 6 months ago.

It’s nice to see a recipe that will use up the bloodstone dusts that we’re all drowning in but the ascended material shouldn’t even be involved here.
250 bloodstone dusts, 10 crystalline dusts and 10 of which ever oil or crystal that you’re trying to make a “feast” out of. That’s expensive enough for a shared item that only lasts 5 minutes.
I often wonder what goes though the heads of game developers, and not just at Anet. I mean in general, what are these guys thinking? Then I see stuff like this brought into a game and I think, I really don’t want to know what’s going on in their heads.
American is the official language of GW2.
Making Americans look more American, every single day. Thank you.
We’ve been asking for this pretty much since Day One.
That would depend on who owns the keep. If it’s mine, you’re griefing. If it’s your keep? I’m playing the game as intended. I hope that helps.
I cannot for the life of me understand why so many people are hating on G+.
I cannot for the life of me understand why Anet needs anything other than this forum.
Ever though about it’s use in WvW?
You can earn enough in WvW to make an unlimited supply of T7 mats?
I don’t know about any literature references. But it could be the “perfect” line for xenophobia.
Or any form of Nationalism.
“If you’re not with us, you’re against us” – Bush the Second.
My apologies for inventing this. Anet brought it to us, but nobody in their right mind is ever going to make these things.
Seriously, Anet. Five Ascended level mats for a 1 hour 90 minute buff item?
Why did you even bring this out?

Credit where it’s due, and I didn’t think it could be done.
Still, we’re just zerging and overwhelming the mobs. I have no idea why I’m getting any chests yet, but I’m getting out of LA when the Miasma builds up. Seriously, this is just scripted play and it’s not really that much fun.
Also, I’ve never really like falling off anything and now I’m falling off bridges that used to be here. For the same reason that I don’t really play on EoTM? I wont be playing here long.
Could we get some player driven gaming for a change? Please?
“Play the game the way you want to play…”
I fell for it. Silly me.
Tri-kill Event. Any bets on this?
in Battle for Lion’s Arch - Aftermath

From what I read looks like the zone will have a timed enviromental effect, miasma, that will just kill you, event or not.
We’ve already been told that the “Tri-Kill” involves destroying the towers that spew the Miasma. That will probably stop the “miasma” for a while if we do it right.
I’m not staying up late for this, and I’m really glad I went to the pub for the Champions League games tonight.
Tri-kill Event. Any bets on this?
in Battle for Lion’s Arch - Aftermath

I’m thinking yet another timed event that will create too many overflows, to kill three different boss/tower type structures all within a short time of each other. Failure will cause respawns of the boss/tower node and/or Mass Kills.
It will take a week for Desolation or TKS to figure it out and we’ll all just start guesting to those servers, to get the achievement points. In the end, all of the smaller server populations will dawdle off to do something that they can actually do.
I’m really tired of this sort of content. My success or failure should not depend on 150 other players who I don’t know and can’t co-ordinate with.
/plays devil’s advocate with obligatory statement “posters on forums do not represent the majority of players”.
Hilarious prescient, just for krall.
/posts anyway (something with 15 characters)
Mine looks like my old Exotic armor, which is way better looking than any Ascended piece.
Can’t craft any aquabreather so far, not that there’s much use for them since the Quaggies were taken out of the borderland lakes.
At the moment it looks like Anet have no idea what they want to do with this class. Some of the recent statements and bugs have been pretty ridiculous. It really seems that no one involved in balancing classes or developing material actually plays this class.
They don’t understand how it works or how to make it work. They don’t even seem to know the proper names for some of the skills.
Don’t hold your breath. We’ve been asking for it since day one.

Who was MOX? (and why is there no entry in the Wiki?
Most of the early back items come from personal story rewards. I’m not sure if there are whites there.
With all due respect, I think many of the WvW players would like to see more results from the first CDI, before we move on to discussion concerning EoTM.
