This probably wont cost a lot of badges either. They are currently worth about 1s each based on the 1g for a golem blueprint, or 100 badges. Anet has an economist and he knows that Ectos trade for around 20s, and you can also get ascended gear with laurels and 50 ectos.

Run the arithmaticky that we all learned in school and I expect ascended gear to come in around 1k badges. That’s not a lot for an active WvW player, plus we’ve been told that Ectos will drop from WvW chests. Even at a “reduced cost” the limiting factor is still the laurels, and what’s on offer.

RoF has never had a night cap team, and the French have the advantage of another national holiday so they probably didn’t sleep last night. Most of the German states have today off as well. Check out the MOS website for the German/French servers.

Necro, and the death shroud is not your last chance to cheat death. It’s a weapon. Forget the minions, and trait for your shroud with PVT clothes and HP runes. Use HP foods and find a sigil of generosity for your favorite weapon. Conditions? What conditions?

I have Kindda given up on waiting for any ascended stat items bought with badges.

I have kinda given up doing anything but the daily and a couple of world bosses. I show up for the guild events during the week, but that’s really just about it. Ok, the molten dungeon was fun as a daily guild event, but that’s gone now.

It’s hard to believe that a game with so much promise has come to this. There is ZERO reason play this game for much longer than it takes to do the daily. The reward system is completely boinked.

This new disappearing siege bug, because of a siege cap and limited servers?

We have a lot of commanders MIA too because of university exams. It was mostly our PvE crowd who went to play Neverwinter and I’m tempted to try it too. Maybe next week, after the reset and before the next patch.

In the end RoF is more than good enough to keep Surmia from moving up a tier.

I can appreciate “technical reasons” as much as anyone but there were technical reasons that that WvW resets couldn’t be split up for NA and EU servers.

I have no intention of spending my gaming time running around “refreshing” siege and if that’s what WvW defensive play is coming down to then I’ll give up on that and go join the zerg.

I have these in an undiscovered level 400 cooking recipe and there is no reference in the wiki. Any ideas?

Once you become a commander and are regularly knocking on keep doors you’ll get a kittenton of karma and badges.

Buy Orrian Jewelry boxes with karma. The income is aprox 1s50c per 1k karma.

Buy seige with the badges.

Now go out there and beat the ever-living snot outta the bad guys.

Doing the bounties is just as much PvE as killing a tower/keep lord.

A lot of WvW players have about 10% mapping complete. So please tell me how those guys are going to get guild merits? Except in WvW?

Rewards for consistent play of this game have been hit with the nerfbat so often that your first 30 minutes per day is the most rewarding play, finish your monthly, and 1 bounty hunt per week. That last one, only if you’re in a guild that can run them.

If that’s how Anet is going to reward game play, I can play along because after 5k achievement points and over 2k hours in-game, I’m bored.

I have 5 level 80 characters, 4 of which I like, but I can’t gear them up so I’ve stopped playing them. I can’t rotate them through the bosses any more because those rewards are now account bound and I’m not taking them all to WvW because those ranks/abilities are character bound. That’s the sort of mentality that is driving players to log in, do the daily, and done.

Other issues? I’m bored with WvW as endgame and disappointed with the so-called WvW patch. Culling isn’t gone, it’s been replaced with a lag monster. The armor sets and weapons added are nothing we couldn’t get in PvE. Where are the WvW unique items? Where is an Ascended item that can by purchased with the existing currency of WvW?

It bugs me that all my kills/captures/yaks don’t count toward these new ranks and abilities. On the other hand, that is at least consistent with the new laurels currency. My 5k+ achievement points aren’t worth squat in terms of obtaining new gear. By bringing in another currency everyone is forced to start over, the very definition of a “gear grind”, but you know, “Anet doesn’t make grindy games, they leave that to other developers”.

tl;cr? The first 30 minutes of play are the most rewarding, so that’s what I’m doing and then logging out.

I have frequently been “locked out” of towers/keeps that my server has, and various other issues. Ill tend to be teleported back after I have been running away from said tower/keep for half a minute and sometimes even more.

I’ve been getting this lately too, even when other players aren’t around.

Fanboys can imply what they want, the fact is WvW is now unplayable because of lag.

Many, many times in fact. We’ve been ignored every single time.

There is absolutely no good reason to use UTC as the WvW reset time. A reset at 2am is just plain anti-social and while I did it last year when the game was fresh and new, I won’t be staying up for the resets any longer.

1800GMT for the European servers, and 1800PST for the North American servers. This will bring the reset times inline with peak playing times and would almost certainly increase participation on WvW.

Content that is related to “guild” and “war”, and nothing to do with jumping puzzles.

It’s an old and common bug, which has often led to accusations of cheating due to garrison falling without any marker.

At the same time though the inner water gate door is never upgraded. Perhaps these are both bugs, or both working as intended. Either way, I would prefer something more predictable like upgrades and timers.

Guards that were worth a kitten or even 1c would also be appreciated.

They were contested for 3 minutes at a time just like normal. We had only seconds each time to take advantage of them, but a lot of us did that.

That was one of the longest defense fights I’ve been in. That was a lot of good timing on the waypoints too. The Bay defense was well over 4 hours and I was NEKKID before it was done.

Oh yes they do. I play on Ring of Fire, a T7 EU server and I gave up playing on EB tonight. The Q time to get into EB wasn’t so bad, but I simply could not get my skills to work. A 3-way fight in the SM lord room on a low tier group has the same mechanics and population of a top tier grouping.

The difference between top tier server groups, and lower tier server groups is not player skill or player population. The difference is the 24/7 coverage on the top servers.

Culling may be gone but that has only made the lag problems worse.

Awesome ideas there, but I’m with SchuMidas. Besides that, the current systems is yet another gold sink and you aren’t ever going to see Anet give up that idea.

You use the Sigil of Perception to build a stack of perception. This added precision will show on your character page.

I got one of these and the fact that Anet is already planning to provide players with “more lives” is not encouraging at all. I don’t like the puzzles to start with and if “more lives” are needed? We’re going to need them.

Too bad we can’t sell them.

Seriously ? you’re getting overflows at your dragon maps but you don’t think you have a higher PvE player concentration ? Even if you get people guesting, that just means you got more PvE’rs…

You never did like listening to reality. We run just fine in the Prime Time, but we don’t have enough for 24/7 which is why we can’t hold out in T7. You’ll get your chance next and I can’t wait to meet Surmia again.
