It’s going to be disabled until they can sort out who is actually eligible to get rewards from it and who is not (and how to remove those points/titles that were given to the wrong people). It better be.

You responded to me before on this. I think they should be concentrating on getting it activated. You seem more to be worried about bragging rights and making sure that everyone deserves their title. I think this is a fruitless battle.

Instead, please, just enable this for your devoted customers. If you let a few cheaters stay alive with more titles than they deserve, who cares really, except very insecure people?

Cheaters? It was people who made a character during a particular time period and the game handed to them the titles and access to the HoM rewards. It’s one thing to be impatient to get your stuff. It’s another to slander innocent people that got something because of a bug.

To be fair, there were people who took advantage of the bug, which is why they blocked access to the skins. So sure, some got the skins/HoM points by accident, but a lot did it deliberately.

In any case, it’s moot: ANet is going to fix the root cause and roll back the achievement/wardrobe unlocks. The first is probably easy; the second is probably not too bad. However, the testing of both, to make sure nothing goes wrong…that’s what is probably taking so long.

"Kill The Hydra Queen" Achievement bugged ?

Well, I really don’t believe a lack of damage was the cause of me not getting the achievement, and I was among the first people damaging her as soon as door opened. Anyway, i’ve done another time since, and I still haven’t gotten the achievement. I hope Anet fixes this soon ..

If it’s the same issue that I recall, being first wouldn’t matter as much as being among the last. Make sure you are at her final location ahead of her. That’s what worked for a bunch of folks I know (again, way back when).

Sorry for the late reply.

I’m not seeing the same thing as the OP. I saw ANet remove a lot of combinations that didn’t have any use (except by people being creative just for the sake of being creative), make it a lot easier to focus on certain types of skills with helpful trait support, and avoid having to split trait lines for stats and/or just the one trait.

I think too many of us are looking for how to maintain our current builds, instead of thinking towards what sort of new types of builds will we have access to. Keep in mind we’re going to see the equivalent of 10 new professions (revenant + 9 elite speicalizations). I think we’ll see folks starting to do interesting things with their gaming skills + various build combinations.

I think most of my builds are salvageable, the only thing here that really kittened me off is that I apparently have to choose, now, between a fast warrior and being able to rally.

They are completely revamping the system. I am looking forward to rethinking all of my builds. At this point, with so little information actually available, I think it’s premature to say if there are burned/broken builds, "winning builds, or if maybe what we are going to have will be an entire new set of alternative builds.

Plus, when HoT releases, we’ll have the equivalent of 10 new professions (1 actual new one + 9 elite specializations).

Guild Influence

in Bugs: Game, Forum, Website

Illconceived Was Na.9781

Login influence has never worked “correctly” — assuming we even know what ‘correctly’ means in this case. If all your characters represent the same guild, you can get anywhere from 0 to 80 influence on any given day, but rarely the same amount. This has been true since I started testing, about a month after launch. (There are some variations once you have multiple people logging in, which makes tracking even more complicated.)

As for event-generated influence, maybe you can offer some specific examples (and screens) of the amount of influence you expected and received, plus the circumstances. It could be bugging out, or it could be that expectations don’t match the mechanic. (It’s confusing at best and we don’t have any official confirmation of how things are supposed to work.)

[Suggestion] Rethinking Dungeon Rewards

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Posted by: Illconceived Was Na.9781

Illconceived Was Na.9781

  • If the rewards are better earlier, then people will farm the earlier parts (as happens now in AC story).
  • If the rewards are randomly dropped, then people will be frustrated by the variance across players and between runs (as happened before ANet offered guaranteed rewards).

There is some precedent for the OP’s suggestion when we look at the newer world boss and LS-related events:

  • Silverwastes offers rewards at each milestone, but better rewards for people at the end.
  • Tequatl (and to a lesser extent, triple-headed) offer rewards for participation, but much better rewards for seeing the entire chain through.

I’d like to see this concept extended to all chains and I could see ANet following it for dungeons/fractals, too, albeit with some difficulty. I don’t think I’m in favor of the OP’s specifics, but I do hope ANet considers the concept.

Illconceived Was Na.9781

I think Lord Kuru was being sarcastic to make a point. Unfortunately (besides being clear about that), it’s based on a misunderstanding of the upcoming system. Right now, we have the illusion of more choices because so many of them would only be used for the sake of being creative, not as part of any practical build (however misguided or wild that build might be).

If ANet adjust things even half as well as they implied, a far greater fraction of the new (but fewer) build permutations will be useful to a larger fraction of players.

I’m willing to wait to see the implementation before saying that ANet got it right or that they screwed it up.

[Suggestion] storing gold in the bank again

Illconceived Was Na.9781

The lack of self control over gold in your wallet is mind boggling. But I understand, you want it out of site, out of mind.

Why is your mind boggled over human nature? People store money they are saving up in a “piggy bank,” savings account, retirement account, under the bed, in a coffee can, etc.

I don’t blame ANet for reducing things to a simple wallet (which, as you note, is mostly much better than each character maintaining their own currencies), but neither do I blame people for wanting a reserve in addition to the main coin pool.

Still, I doubt ANet will act on the suggestion, because they have never offered much sympathy on the topic.

I understand the desire to “hide” money from yourself for non RP purposes but a Guild Bank isn’t all that safe. And since you are limited to number of guilds and since guilds are account wide not character, they are simply one step removed from you character over the wallet. Or are you going to limit yourself to 4 personal guilds and the one you normally rep?

This was discussed to death when the wallet first came out.

https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/archive/jubilee/Token-Wallet-Thank-you-a-net/first#post2520019

True ANet was the one that suggested a guild account for a personal bank but as I said in my previous post, it’s obviously being used to funnel RMT gold to players as a way to avoid mail tracking so BAM 500g weekly transfer limits. I can’t imagine players with personal guilds hording so much gold and transfer it so frequently that this is really a serious problem for many and is simply complaining because a limit that they hope to reach one day got slapped on it.

Normally, your posts are on target and get me to rethink my ideas. This one… it didn’t respond to what I typed. Maybe you meant to quote someone else?

I asked why you were surprised that humans, who in RL separate savings from spending resources, would want to do the same in GW2? I didn’t say anything about guild banks, enabling RMTs, or anything else that you commented about. I spoke generically about the concept, not about any specific solutions offered to date.

I support ANet’s actions to simplify currency and to make things difficult for RMTs. I also am sympathetic with people who want an alternative place to securely store money. I don’t see those as incompatible ideas and I’m surprised that you seem to.

Ascended Gear useless after HoT?

Illconceived Was Na.9781

I think we need to wait to find out how things are changing before worrying about whether a stat set or a gear set is “useless”.

  • I haven’t seen details on how character stats or gear stats are changing.
  • I haven’t seen ANet address the possibility of a one-time ability to choose gear stats for existing gear and/or offer the possibility of sideways-promotion of existing ascended gear so that it gets new stats (I expect they will offer some way of spending excess skill points/scrolls).

I doubt very much if they are going to allow the system to screw up every min/max player’s carefully constructed gear sets. But … who knows, maybe they didn’t think of this yet.

So assuming I read Dulfy’s notes correctly, players who are already level 80 will only have to farm out 65 skill point (hero) challenges to get back to where they are now? Not really all that bad and especially since this doesn’t take into consideration for any skill point challenges completed already.

Any L80 character who has completed 65 of the over 200 current skill challenges will be able to unlock all the core stuff. Non-L80 toons will have to complete more challenges to do the same (or level up some more).

Silver salvage gem store item

Illconceived Was Na.9781

I have done a ton of salvaging for SCIENCE over time and I am “only” up to 120,500 lifetime salvages.

The silver-fed saves 1.4 copper per use over the master’s kit (and loses money compared to any other kit, including the mystic kit, if you ignore any value to the mystic stones).

Assuming I owned the silver kit during headstart, I would have saved 16g 87s in the nearly 3 years since I’ve started playing.
(For comparison, the copper-fed saves only 0.52c/use, so its theoretical savings would be a mere 6g26s60c.)

tl;dr the silver-fed isn’t economically advantageous to the average player; there are better uses for your 400 gems.

Naturally, there are non-economic advantages to the silver-fed, but those are available to you by creating Mystic Kits: 250 uses of the same efficacy as silver-fed/master kits, at a per-use cost of 10.5, instead of 61.4c for master’s or 60c for silver-fed.

Dye still unidentified after crafting it?

in Players Helping Players

Posted by: Illconceived Was Na.9781

Illconceived Was Na.9781

Maybe I’m just weird, but I don’t like buying my own rewards. I like gathering the materials and crafting my own stuff.

I don’t see anything wrong with it, but you’re stuck with the lotto; there is no way to guarantee which dyes you get from crafted vials.

There is, however, a way to keep track in game:

  • Open your hero panel to the dye subpanel.
  • Using the gear icon,
    • Make sure that you are ‘showing locked’ (instead of hiding it).
    • Sort by Hue

Unfortunately, the order within each color spectrum is from ‘darkest’ to ‘lightest’, so you can’t easily tell which are fine, master, or rare colors. For that, you need to group by set instead (which doesn’t arrange by color).

Another alternative is to change your way of thinking of how you think about rewards. In real life, I like to cook a good meal, more than I like to eat out. I also like to grow stuff that I eat. However, I don’t have any interest in farming my own chickens nor my own lettuce (I’m hopeless with it). So I buy stuff at the supermarket using money — and I did earn that money. It’s not that close to “living off the land” when I cook using bought ingredients, but it’s a good compromise between what I prefer to do with how tedious and time consuming I want my daily routine to be.

tl;dr think of earning your own coin through a favorite method and buying luxuries with that coin (such as dyes), but not gear.

Regardless of which methods you choose, good luck — if you’re having fun, I’m all in favor of it.

Dye still unidentified after crafting it?

in Players Helping Players

Posted by: Illconceived Was Na.9781

Illconceived Was Na.9781

In the case of the fine unID dye, with choices as described above (and on the wiki):

  • The average value of those colors: 3 silver, 40 copper.
  • The minimum cost of the ingredients for the unidentified (fine) yellow dye: 24s 25c.
  • The cost of buying the unID vial: 18s 7c.
  • If you already own the onions, you could sell those for 20.82s or so.

Thus, if you just want the unID vial (for whatever reason), it’s cheaper to sell the onions and buy the unID. Even more compelling: you can buy 5 fine yellow dyes of your choice for the cost of buying that vial; you can afford even more if you own the onions and sell those.

The same economics is true for all the other craftable dyes, at least for now.

  • If you want a specific color, buy it on the TP (with a custom offer, to save even more).
  • At any given moment, only 2-3 specific recipes for crafting unID dyes are profitable (but only if you craft to sell, not to open).

tl;dr unidentified dyes are like lotto tickets: a few big prizes, but most people lose out on average.

[Suggestion] Reason for kicking.

Illconceived Was Na.9781

tl;dr this would be another mechanic that inconveniences everyone in order to prevent a problem caused by a tiny fraction of the playerbase. It might be more sensible to focus attention on that tiny fraction.

I agreed with alot of your comment until the tl;dr. First off, it only inconveniences those prone to kicking (which at some point they’ve kicked for stupid reasons and griefed a player), which is the target group for this suggestion. Even if they are a tiny fraction, they cause enough of an impact that “wrongly kicked” threads are common meaning that there is an obvious problem and it is not being fixed. And if such a small percentage is kittening this many people off, then yes, concentrate on them.

The way reports are done in gw2, this suggestion can aid those who use it properly because if the kicked player was in the wrong, not only will anet see it in the logs but the player will also get hit with report abuse.

Its like the police. They stop me from driving as fast as I want but they also stop me from killing people and myself with my car. 5 seconds of inconvenience for upheaval of a deep-rooted 2-year problem sounds like a good deal to me. But that’s just me.

I fear I might have expressed my point poorly then; the tl-dr matches the rest of the post.

The proposed system inconveniences anyone who has a friend that runs off due to RL, but forgets to sign off or drop the party. It inconveniences people who invite their alternate accounts to the party. So it will inconvenience legit players.

That’s why I made the specific comparisons to other existing systems that are also designed to throttle bad behavior and yet also inconvenience legit players. All such mechanics are designed to punish those with bad intentions, but they also have predictable (and unanticipated) negative effects on everyone else, too.

However, there are some huge differences between party kicking and the other issues these mechanics are designed to address.

  • Spamming etc would be done on a massive scale, if not for throttling; party kicks are done on a tiny scale.
  • Any individual spam etc has a big impact on the entire community, whereas party kicking only affects a maximum of two people at a time.
  • There aren’t many good tools for dealing with spamming et al; throttling is very effective against them. In contrast, every anti-illegit-kick mechanic only handles a portion of the issue.

I don’t mean to minimize the issue to those getting kicked, especially to those who are looking for a fifth to complete a long run or even those selling paths. It’s a big deal to those individuals, the kind of thing dispiriting enough to reduce overall enjoyment of the game.

That’s why I suggested (again, in the tl-dr) that ANet should spend resources to deal with it, that don’t affect the kicking mechanic. Since the number of people doing this is small, I think it’s far better that ANet put more effort into punishing those who abuse it. There would be far less griefing and instance-thieving if folks knew there were near-immediate and substantial consequences.

tl;dr this would be another mechanic that inconveniences everyone in order to prevent a problem caused by a tiny fraction of the playerbase. It would be more sensible to focus resources on that tiny fraction.

They don’t have to do anything about it — if you have too much, delete it. It would be a problem if people couldn’t gather it quickly; it’s not a problem if people are overflowing in it.

If you decide to hold out waiting for a Mawdrey II type of item to eat the ore, you should know that:

  • It takes about 60 days to get a stack of the gifts.
  • You need 50 stacks of mats to generate that stack of gifts, i.e. 1 2/3 full bank tabs or 2.5 full max bags.
  • Research suggests that stack will be drop 15-20g worth of items on average (your mileage might vary) or about 40s max per stack of unrefined, ascended mats

In other words, unless you have the space to keep something worth 40s (tops), you might as well delete excess stacks of dragonite ore.

We don’t know what skill points will purchase in the future; we only know what they are used for today.

After HoT, the following might require skill-point-based materials:

  • Legendary and Precursor collections (e.g. to upgrade an item).
  • Dragonite converter (similar to Mawdrey II for bloodstone dust).
  • Ascended weapon stat converter (instead of crafting a new ascended item, change the stats, using some T6, T6 mats + skill point mat).

Currently, skill point scrolls etc have no value to people who avoid the mystic forge, so at worst, this will be status quo for a lot of the community, while at best, there could be some useful purchases for more of us going forward.

If you maxed out your withdrawl from the guild bank, then you wouldn’t be able to get any more from an email; the limit of 500g/week is collective of both guild stash and mail.

So let’s say you withdrew 350 this week and your friend withdrew 200g more and mailed it to you. Then when you clicked the “take all” button on the email, you would receive 150; the other 50g would remain until the reset (Sunday midnight UTC iirc).

Last time I counted, I was getting 3 sprockets per 10 ‘whacks’. That is, on average, I’d get 3 from a rich vein or 3-4 from 4 regular nodes. (I believe I kept track for 200 tries, which isn’t quite enough for a reliable estimate.) With that rate, you could easily go a few nodes in a row without a sprocket or get a handful from a single rich vein.

Does anyone else see my perceived problem here?

I see you perceive a problem. I don’t see that there is a problem…yet. The details released to-date are too sparse to draw any conclusions. All we know so far is:

  • SPs earned from leveling or challenges can be applied to the new mechanics.
  • SPs earned otherwise cannot be.

It’s not clear what will happen to a player with 8+ characters at L80, one with 100% map completion. Will they be able to unlock everything outside of area-specific masteries? Will they need to go back to old content (like the ‘new’ trait system required)?

It’s even hard to say what would be ‘fair’ or what would be best for the game. It’s reasonable to ask questions about the details, but I don’t think it’s reasonable to accuse ANet of taking stuff away from us. Not yet, anyhow.

And right now, as Mr Campbell says, people (including GLs or those on your /block list) can keep track of your AP, location, time spent in game. It’s just manual atm.

I do not see the abuse if both have to say yes to let it happen.

Sounds like a funny new Guild-Mission to me.

And if you personally don’t like it, you can easily avoid being involved: Do not represent the guild while it is at war. (but you should only be able to change that while in a save place or during login)

There are three problems with opt-in GvG that takes place in the open world:

  • We will still see griefing, spamming, other sorts of verbal ‘abuse’ — that’s the nature of some of the personalities that enjoy PvP. Just enough will step over the line to make it unpleasant for those who just want to PvE.
  • It will take massive design/coding changes to allow PvP in the current open world, which has no provision for it. The smallest issue: some skills are differently balanced in PvP — how do those get handled in open world PvP?
  • It will take some design/coding changes to enable the challenge system and ANet won’t get it right the first two times (more because it’s the nature of these things to evolve with the game, a little because ANet often socks [sic] in UI, especially for something like this. Source: LFG tool).

So, while I’m not against the concept of guilds challenging guilds for dominance, I don’t think it’s going to be good for the community to sacrifice the required dev/design time to make this happen.

tl;dr there’s a good idea somewhere here, but the original proposal is almost certainly too costly to be considered as posted.

I would be ok with this if one of the option is: – He’s a Ranger

you are the problem we need to fix…..in gw2 every1 can play every role and nobody is excluded from a party based on a profession

the only solution is to make the party leader in total control

that won’t work either, because people will invite folks, kick them, and then sell the spaces (not a lot of folks will do this, just enough)

No system is perfect. The one we have now is pretty good, except for some griefers (who should be dealt with anyhow) and the occasional accident. Forcing everyone else to give a reason for kicking slows everyone else down, without offering a commensurate benefit.

ANet already has plenty of systems that are setup to deal with the more extreme cases and the community generally complains about the inconvenience:

  • anti-mail flooding makes it harder for guild leaders to send notices to e.g. all members who haven’t logged in 3 months
  • anti-spamming prevents leaders from posting instructions/waypoints for drytop, etc
  • anti-RMT has generated a lot of complaints that we can see in active threads

It combines two great forum loves: nostalgia for GW1 and those wanting to change profs for a favorite character.

I have nothing against adding it to the game, except for the cost of implementation; I’d much prefer to see other changes to the game, rather than designers, coders, and QA working on this.

Container Drops (Not Rates)

Illconceived Was Na.9781

The rule-of-thumb I use for determining on whether an API would be appropriate is “is this information already available in-game?”. This isn’t really a hard-and-fast rule, but for the time being, partial drop tables aren’t something I think we can expose.

From a player’s perspective, it’s “in the game” as much as whether an item can be used in pvp/wvw or salvageable (these things aren’t known until you ‘test’ the item), but I take your point.

Thanks for responding so quickly (even if I would have preferred a different answer).

Where did all the players go?

Let me tell you a story. Before I got married, I used to always open the door for my girlfriend and later my fiancée. After we got married, I slowly started to stop that behavior. And she got kittened and said, “If you did it before, and I liked it, you don’t get to stop now.”

And that’s why people complain about Guild Wars 2 recently.

TIL players are mad at ANet because Collin doesn’t hold the door open for Gaile or Rubi anymore. ;-)

More on topic, some people always complain. Some people never complain. In a game that is approaching 3 years of age, people will have moved on to other games, have RL that interferes with gaming, or are ready for new things.

None of that means that the game is unpopular; it only means that the people who used to play aren’t playing today. It also doesn’t tell us why people aren’t playing (although I’m sure some have stopped playing because they got used to new/newish stuff every two weeks and are getting bored more easily now).

Regardless, I don’t see what ANet can do about it right now unless they release the expansion before it’s ready or start publishing highlights that might not make it into the game (or might be drastically different in the final release). To me, both of those options are worse than the current situation.

Are you looking for them to sell or open

I’m on a quest to open at least 100 of every bag in the game (so better-use-of-my-time arguments are not an issue).

For SCIENCE!

I approve (having done something similar).

if I accidentally delete a toon...

There’s no way to accidentally delete a character, so

  • Always unequip everything from the hero panel and
  • Move everything from inventory to the bank (unless it’s soulbound).
  • Double check your inventory bags and save any with 10+ slots (even 8-slot bags are worth 20-25c each).

As others have said, if you do intentionally delete a character, only to realize later they had something of value, contact support, be patient, and, as Grimm says, be honest.

Starting a Guild

All things being equal (which they never are), my generic recommendation for a small (< 40 active members) guild:

  • Architecture I + Guild Workshop: allows you to work on two upgrades at a time; critical as you move forward. This one is worth helping along by buying influence from a Guild Promoter.
  • Architecture II + guild stash: there’s always stuff to share. Make sure new members don’t have access (for security). (Also worth buying influence.)
  • Art of War I, II, III + Guild Bounty Training: the training allows you to spend 300i for the opportunity to gain 3,000i, so it’s a great way to build up influence. Also worth buying some influence.

At that point, you should be in one of three states:

  • Guild is humming along nicely and someone has stepped up to handle the influence queue. → You’ll figure out what you need.
  • Guild is humming, but no one has stepped up. → come back and ask for new recommendations, based on what you guys are up to.
  • Guild is…not humming → Sad Face, but the influence problem will be moot at least.

Send the details to exploits@arena.net.
(and please remove them from the forums, before the post is deleted — the company won’t want you posted instructional videos/description for how to ‘break’ the game)

Thanks for taking the time to let them know.

[Suggestion] Reason for kicking.

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Illconceived Was Na.9781

About a year or two ago, I suggested something like this, but I’ve reconsidered.

  • This would delay party reformation for legit kicks, without slowing down griefers much.
  • The game now tells you who initiated the kick and who seconded it.
  • You still need to take screen shots and create a support ticket to report this sort of abuse.

So, even though there’s nothing objectionable about such a system, I’d prefer to see other changes to party/lfg instead of this.

Hall of Monuments Update?

Illconceived Was Na.9781

As someone who knows coding I can imagine that this issue is a major headache to them.

It shouldn’t be. They can simply remove those achievements and unlocks from everyone, and then force a recheck (come to think, they won’t even need a recheck, as the HoM status would get updated on relog). Those people who have them legitimately will get them back, the rest won’t.
It would be harder if they had to worry about people that used their bugged hom unlocks to get skins/etc from HoM vendor, but, luckily, this time they don’t have to (because there was a second bug, that crashed anyone trying to enter HoM at that time).

If you peruse the Account Support sub-forum, you will learn that linking accounts does not always go smoothly.

They don’t even need to unlink/relink them. The achievements would be automatically updated after relog anyway, the same as they do now.

  1. Some people got the skins and even GWAMM, so yes, they do have to worry about it. The HoM didn’t crash for everyone.
  2. If it’s as easy as you suggest, the bug would already be fixed. ANet is getting a lot of grief over this and they would prioritize this over a lot of other stuff, if only to allow the focus to return to HoT hype.

Flame temple tombs - broken mortar

in Bugs: Game, Forum, Website

Posted by: Illconceived Was Na.9781

Illconceived Was Na.9781

There are two work-arounds:

  1. Ignore the statues and head directly to the mortar. Step in front of it, so that you are on the ‘floor’ above the water. Log out your character and then log back in. You will be in the water and can proceed as if you did the head trick.
  2. Get one of the many ports to Rhendak’s Tomb (the end of the puzzle, where the boss spawns) and head backwards. You can open each gate from the back using a nearby chain.

ANet knows about the bug; there’s no ETA for a fix.

Good luck.

PS most people have no trouble with #1, but a few have reported that somehow they end up in LA. If that happens, use option #2 (or try standing on a different spot before logging).

Dailies are still no good

Illconceived Was Na.9781

The nice thing is: if you don’t bother, you get nearly the same rewards as in the “good old days” when you had to do 5 dailies, with the exception of the karma and AP.

Now you can do just 3 dailies for the AP and, choosing carefully, you get even better karma.

On the other hand, I agree with the OP: the new tasks are less interesting to me, especially since they don’t rotate from month to month.

Better “dumb luck” than “smart speculation” (you know, the one where you bought the wind catcher skin for 10g and sold it cleverly for 30g, only to see it go up to 150g).

Normal helms with outfits again? Q.Q <3

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Illconceived Was Na.9781

The reason outfits are cheaper to produce is that they aren’t mix/match. Each new piece that you can substitute means more design work, more testing/fixing, and more potential issues. I don’t mean to suggest that we shouldn’t ask (I, too, would love to use my specs with exemplar); I do mean to point out this isn’t easy to do.

I believe the equivalent primer for food will work with the birthday cake, which obviously isn’t as good as getting 24 hrs of Birthday Gift.

OTOH, I think the gifts stack in duration, i.e. 2 opened at the same time will give you 2 hrs.

If you don't complete the daily

in Players Helping Players

Posted by: Illconceived Was Na.9781

Illconceived Was Na.9781

There’s the login reward: that increments each day that you logon to at least one character.

There’s the set of dailies: those don’t persist from day to day. Even if, for example, capturing supply camps in wvw came up two days in a row, if you capped one on Monday, you’d still have to cap two total on Tuesday.

The reset time, however, is midnight UTC, so it will vary from midnight in your time zone. It’s 5 pm Pacific, 8 pm Eastern, and within an hour or two of midnight in most of Europe, depending on where you live.
