You will not. If you purchase it, you won’t get any more Character Slots, and will have to contact the CS Team for any possible refund of Gems for said Character Slot(s).
There’s a thread in the Support sub-forum addressing this issue.
Good luck.
It wouldn’t state in the tool-tip that it requires a Shared Inventory Slot to use if it came with one. If it was a bundle (including both), it would state that. Plus, you can see in the API, it’s not a bundle.
It doesn’t come with one.
Have you tried changing your preference? Changing preference takes effect after mission reset.
It does require a Shared Inventory Slot; it does not come with one. It does include Gear and goodies, just like the previous ones (again, sans Shared Inventory Slot). They do stack.
Good luck.
I would not advise letting a friend log into your account. Should anything ever go amiss, there will be a record of you sharing your account, and thus a reason for the CS Team to decline assisting, should they decide to.
It is, of course, completely against the EULA you agreed to.
Well, this is a case where the Devs specifically stated they would not be offering this item in the Gem Store. I guess player feedback is listened to, sometimes, despite comments to the contrary. /shrug
Since the EU data center had/has to have its data files restored, it might just be a matter of time.
Perhaps, give it a day or two, and then, if the issue is still present, contact the CS Team?
You could also try clearing your GW2 cache (instructions found in the Knowledge Base, accessed via the ‘Support’ link above/below and ‘Search – Troubleshoot TP’).
Good luck.

No, you can always make a Play4Free account to play in the Beta Weekend. No progress or rewards are kept from the demo weekends, anyway.
Good luck.

Responses have been delayed due to the high volume of tickets at this time. You can always update your ticket (do not create a new one), and ask for a status report.
Good luck.
You can try clearing your GW2 cache (instructions found in the Knowledge Base accessed via the ‘Support’ link above/below).
There are 2 methods to initiate the purchase of Bank Tabs; one through the Gem Store, and one through the Bank UI. You could try both.
If you continue to have issue, you can contact the CS Team via the ‘Support’ link above/below, and ‘Submit a Ticket’ for assistance.
Good luck.
There are several features that require time to unlock when an account is afforded ‘paid’ status. It may just be a matter of time.
You can contact the CS Team via the ‘Support’ link above/below. Be aware, due to the large volume of recent tickets, the response may be slower than usual.
Good luck.
You can always contact the CS Team now, and explain your circumstance. Although it may take some time for them to respond, at least they will know you wanted to purchase during the sale. So, even if there is no global ‘fix’, they would most likely accommodate you.
Good luck.
Only the CS Team can assist you.
For an individualized response, update your ticket.
Good luck.
You can contact the CS Team via the ‘Support’ link to discuss the issue.
The CS Team would not rollback your account, anyway, for such an issue. I’m pretty sure they can’t ‘undo’ Account changes such as collections. But, you can always ask. They might have discovered some new tech.
Good luck.
Lol. Too funny.
Gotta love the Devs’ sense of humor.
You might want to ask the CS Team via the ‘Support’ link. It might be the Character Slot is removed and the cost adjusted to reflect that.
Good luck.

Maybe just wait until the EU Data Center is back up and online?
If, after that, you continue to have issue, you can contact the Tech CS Team via the ‘Support’ link above/below.
Or, maybe Healix will come by with some of his/her always helpful and knowledgeable advice.
Good luck.
Fixed with latest patch.
I went to wiki … but the page doesn’t seem complete. I get that it will get you to 80 on consumption, but I’m wondering if you get the free gear when consuming like the 80 boost that comes with the expansion. If it was just an instant 80 with no other perks, It wouldn’t seem worth 2000 gems.
I can see this ticket being a permanent item on the gem store, but the bundle package available for the desert I can see not being around for long
According to the News blog:
Instantly boost one character to maximum level and take on everything Tyria has to offer right away. Your new level-80 character will receive a starting set of exotic gear and a box full of useful items to help you on your journey.
Good luck.

You could try running it as an Administrator.
Good luck.
There’s an announcement on the forums, as well, in News and Announcements on the front page.
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/info/news/Update-on-EU-Datacenter-and-Today-s-Release
My download was moving at a snail’s pace, so I stopped it, waited a few minutes, and started it up again. After that, it moved along up to 8MB/sec averaging about 4-5MB/sec. The download totaled a bit over 3 GB.
If that’s of any help to you.
From the patch notes:
The Mistlock Sanctuary’s portal to Tyria has been updated with additional teleportation options. Players may now choose to return to the location where they used their Mistlock Sanctuary Passkey.
Disk Space Requirement for Path of Fire ?
in Account & Technical Support
Posted by: Inculpatus cedo.9234
The above poster means total now. The recommended space is 50GB. I would expect the recommendation allows 5-10GB extra for future files.
Thus, Path of Fire, Heart of Thorns, and Core should take up between 40 and 45GB (maybe a bit less). Of course, we won’t know until September. (The Demo probably doesn’t/won’t have all the files, yet.)
Local.dat is your preferred settings (small file). GW2.dat is your client (game files). The client should be around 30GB now.
Try the Wiki; they are fine there.
You can contact the CS Team via the ‘Support’ link and ‘Submit a Ticket’ for assistance. (Do be aware: the CS Team in inundated with support tickets at the present time, thus responses may be slower than usual.)
Good luck.
PvP players stomping PvE players in Core Tyria??? I heard nothing about Open World PvP.
All content, save the Living World Seasons content. Story (and rewards/Achievements) for Season Two and Story (and rewards/Achievements and maps) for Season 3. Living World Seasons are not included in expansion purchases, but can be purchased in-game through the Story Journal and the Gem Store.
Do you own Heart of Thorns? That is necessary to unlock the Gen1 Elite Specializations and Gliding, as well as all other Masteries. Living World Season 3 (purchased if not unlocked by logging in while active, and requires HoT) provides some relatively easy to acquire Ascended gear.
You can use the Wiki to look up acquisition methods for Ascended gear; some of it is obtainable in Core Tyria.
Welcome return, and good luck.
Geez, I must have arose too early this morning. No idea why I thought OP was asking about the Beta Weekends.
Disregard the edit.
Indeed. I am encountering this, as well.
It’s 9:00 am PDT, which would be noon EDT, I believe.
I’m looking forward to it. =)
Actually, that time is when the expansion launches. I’m not sure they have posted when the Beta Weekend starts.
(edited by Inculpatus cedo.9234)
No mention of a third; I’d guess the Devs would have posted it, if they were planning on one.
And, yes, PvE map/no Elite Specializations in first Beta Weekend, and PvP maps/Elite Specializations in second Beta Weekend.
That’s the plan, so far.
Good luck.
Don’t know if it’s just me, but the forums seem to have slowed to a crawl, again. Especially in General Discussion. Or posting; and, gosh forbid, editing.
Oh, my bad; only watched the first 5 seconds or so. Might have considered just posting a short clip of the Choya (if that’s what you are referring to).
This coming Friday, August 11 through August 13th.
Hydras.
Here’s one example: https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Veteran_Fire_Hydra
They were found in the Crystal Desert long ago: https://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Hydra_
Good luck.
Tens of thousands of Gold? Several thousand Gold?
I know I’m poor at less than one thousand. /shrug
I’m sure there will be Group Events as well as the Renown Hearts and regular events. There are Adventures, as well.
No one, but the Devs, knows everything about the maps, or will know until release in September.
Good luck.
Some of LavaSoft’s software can be hidden. Try more than the first cursory search with the search bar. I know that’s how I found mine. It was piggy-backed in with Bing, which was hidden in a Windows update.
You can also check all add-ons in your browser’s options. (Firefox, Chrome, IE/Edge, or whatever you use.)
Good luck.
Buying HOT with POF and lost LW chapters
in Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns
Posted by: Inculpatus cedo.9234
No Living World Seasons (2 or 3) are included in any expansions. If you decide to purchase them, check out the prices in-game compared to outside the game. I believe they are discounted in the Gem Store. Of course, you would need to acquire Gems to purchase them, either with Gem Cards, through the Gem Store, or through Gold-to-Gems exchange.
It’s not necessary to do any of the Stories, in full. Some maps are gated by one or two chapters. But, if you wish to know what’s going on when playing any of the Chapters within Episodes, you may want to play through the entire Stories. Also, Chapters and/or Episodes have rewards (loot, Mastery Points, AP) you may not be able to acquire elsewhere.
Good luck.
Is there a finite amount of magic in Tyria? Is it just recycled in and out of Elder Dragons? Or do they use some and then capture and store new magic that is created over time? If magic is not finite, then killing all the Elder Dragons would be an issue, eventually. Unless, of course, one or more Gods could be persuaded to take the Elder Dragons’ role of keeping magic in check.
If Balthazar was full of magic from perished Elder Dragons, would said magic be, once again, released upon his death? Can magic be destroyed by killing its vessel?
I imagine the implication with Aurene is that she’ll replace one of the Elder Dragons.
And no, killing the vessel doesn’t destroy the magic, as shown by Mordremoth having Zhaitan’s death magic and infusing his own creatures with it. We can assume that the other Dragons now have both Death and Plant magic.
Then, how would letting Balthazar kill the Elder Dragon(s), usurp their magic, and then killing him (Balthazar) solve the problem of magic in Tyria?
Have you tried re-installing/upgrading/rolling-back your graphics drivers?
Have you tried a -repair of the client?
Instructions found in the Knowledge Base accessed via the ‘Support’ link above/below.
Good luck.

Not sure which part of the post you are responding to. If it’s about ‘demotion’, I thought the complaint was there was an overabundance of the higher-tiered Mats. Thus, too much is gathered.
If it’s about the lower-tiered Mats, when someone is gathering those, and selling them on the TP. I know I do. Perhaps, one could augment their acquisition that way.
I can recall a commander advertising king of the jungle meta on a map that had a hp farm going in the middle of the night, the meta failed.
Was that a lower-level map? I’m not sure there are many Material-gathering trains in lower-level maps.
I would strongly suggested leveling one, if not two, character naturally before ever considering using the L80 Boost.
You’d miss out on all the tutorials, and learning how to play that Profession, not to mention possibly entering maps that are tuned for more experienced players. You might be able to handle Core L80 maps, but HoT L80 maps and beyond might be overwhelming.
Good luck.
