Where is your name (or if you mean your email address) being displayed in game???
Other than logging in at the log-in screen, your email address should never be displayed in-game. There is a ‘bug’, that sometimes displays your email address instead of the account name in your (and ONLY your) UI. If you have encountered this bug, no one else can see your email address, only you. Though, I think they addressed that some time back. If, for some reason, your email address is showing up in-game, I suggest you immediately contact support through a support ticket.
Usually, the only time you can get your display name changed is when it displays personal information (such as your real name). Otherwise, what you chose is what you keep.
Also, I am confused about the title of your thread, you do not mention anything about that in your post. But if you have a roaming IP address, at first, you will receive several log-in authentication requests until the range of IPs is noted. Still, it never hurts to change your passwords for both the game and elsewhere. (Make sure each is unique.) If you wish to change your email address connected with logging in to the game, support can help you with that, as well.

According to the details on the wiki picture, it was photoshopped. I have no idea what exactly was done to the picture, but perhaps it was somehow/somewhat enhanced.
Well, I know it’s not optimal, but…mark them as spam? Then you won’t have to see them, if they are upsetting you. Though, I am sure if you sent in a support ticket, they would find a way to remove your email address from the mailing list. Good luck. =)

You will be sent a key that you can forward on to your friend. Your friend can then register the game with said key.
@Halanna…I am afraid you are mistaken. An account gets one bonus chest per event (boss) daily. Do 5 different bosses, get 5 bonus chests. Do the same boss on another character, get only the event chest, but not the bonus chest.
yes, but i’ve been seeing it for awhile…the last couple of weeks…not sure why.
the objects do eventually show up, though lately i am even missing the names of mobs, still have the red bar, but no name.
You can loot the chest that appears on the ground once per day with each of your characters for each event. You get the ‘bonus’ chest once a day on your entire account for each event. The ‘day’ starts over at server reset.

I looked up, just for example, magic find…your database is missing items: i.e. those halloween recipes…Spicy Pumpkin cookie, Candy Corn cookie, etc.
I love my ranger and my necromancer, but…
the best advice is to make a character with the profession YOU find appealing, and try it out for a few levels…open up all the weapon skills.
Then, try another. Many of us thought we would like one profession, and ended up really liking another much, much more.
Everyone will have a different opinion, you should decide for you.

If it helps you any, Gaile, I get two of every newletter…to the same address. I have always assumed it was because I signed up twice, the second time I signed up was because there was a long time where we didn’t get any newsletters, (2 or 3 years back) and I thought maybe I had accidently been dropped off the mailing list.
Actually, I get three….two from NCSoft-Seattle and one from NCSoft-UK (which always has the next day listed as the beginning or end of promotions*). I am not sure why I get the NCSoft-UK one.
I have no problem getting three; in fact, I like it, as then I am SURE to get all the news. I am in the US if that’s helpful to you.

I got two rares from a boss chest last night, kept one for another character and salvaged the other. I got 3 ectos.
I am afraid I did not.
It seems maybe this topic went askew. Some of us were wondering if something happened to the maw, as it hadn’t started after 3 or 4 hours. Not whether it should start in 30 minutes or 2 hours.
I thought all the dungeons were instanced. Except maybe mini-dungeons?
Those clauses are the exact same ones they have had since Guild Wars (1) released. They didn’t charge for content other than expansions then, and I do not see them doing so now or in the forseeable future. Nothing new here. I hope, though, you have enjoyed your time in-game so far; not sure why finally reading what you agreed to when you started makes a difference.

Also, if the person should just happen to have logged into their GW(1) account last, they will show up as ‘unknown’.

You can create a support ticket, and use it to ‘ask a question’. I am not sure who you would call, as there is no support phone number.
I just checked on my friend’s list, and the option to ‘remove friend’ shows up whether they are online or offline. All I did was right-click on their name. It doesn’t show up for blocked ‘friends’, but you can move those to friends, and then ‘remove friend’.
You can go to ‘My Account’ at the top of this page, and set up email validation there.

It’s amusing to me….before Guild Wars 2 was released, people complained, a lot, about GW(1)’s storyline….how shallow and stilted it was.
Personally, I like Tybalt and Sieran, but that’s just me. I don’t think I’m ignorant for not agreeing with you, though; I think I have different tastes than you do, and that is ok. =)
create a support ticket using the ‘ask a question’ option, explain the situation and your desires. There are stickies on the front page of the account issues forum, I believe, that will guide you in creating and filling out your support ticket. =)
amend your ticket or create a new one, if that’s not possible, and inquire about getting an account restoration
