Maybe they “play how they want” and only have fun if the team is DPS oriented.
CM Manor mobs need a damage Nerf. (Half the mobs instantly kill anyone, even if they have 3000+ armor.)
HOTW Bosses need an HP Nerf. (They have too much HP.)
TA Bosses/Mobs need an HP and damage Nerf. (Or nerf the flowers, even though I love them, I don’t want the zone to be too easy though.)
1. there is alot of thiefs and thieifs by nature have high dps (Bloody Victoria). It is hard for the level dungeon it is stated to be but there is a reason since it used to be farmable during the start (CM Story). It probaly should be re-balanced to thin some of those deadly packs. For newbies who cant skip, its too hard while exp groups end up using portal and stealth to bypass it, rendering them worthless but wipe bad groups
2. They do have alot but I have never failed the final bosses except once on p2. I can tank p1 boss, making the long fight kinda fun and he clearly doesnt do that much damage if i can literally melee him the whole time. Not like hes a glass cannon boss
p2-3 they feel like glass but obviously tons of hp. idk but maybe since jellyfish beat = tons of hp underwater boss of fractals, underwater things = HP sponge?
3. Nothing really needs a nerf. The tree cant be crit so it feels longer, but there are many bosses or fights like that in GW. Its probaly just the teams composition making these fights seem “longer”. If your comfortable enough, drop support and run full DPS, or your times will take longer the more support you run. I have had teams take ages on tree (rangers, guardians) and teams super pwn tree (eles, wars)
yes, the tree tends to “Reset” alot and along with that, comes the spideres resetting and its so hard when you have a team that cant tank the tree 100 percent since you are, dodging spider attacks. ive had this happen a bunch of times
ive done this pre patch and it wasnt that bad, quite easy with stability. im pretty sure the staff is already looking into the safety net thing. try reading old forums
the mod already replied and is looking into the lava fixes
this is why i make every instance i can, fractals being one of them.
that way i can set rules and people must listen because they cant kick me.

2k damage isnt that much imo. my guard in tanky gear does over that for end GS whirl burst, and my warrior can do 9k 100b end burst.

Good : General Molradovich P3. 1 Hit Tunnel Attacks and 5 stacks of bleed per melee hit.
The Destroyer of Worlds – End boss with lots of fire aoe and spawns baby destroyers.
Bad : p3. General Zadorojny – Nothing special as I can really tell. Also the bridge General boss needs buff on damage for players ignoring the fire de-buff as now it can be ignored but is a great idea for boss.

ive done arah story 5 times. some was pre-patch before zhaitan was bugged, did nothing, some post patch.
each time, i died alot. it was fun.
yes, some mechanics were different during the runs sometimes but all in all, i died a ton, my armor broke, but we did it in the end.
wasnt that bad although yes fighting Zhaitaian like you would Tequatal or Jormag woulda been cool but after 1 1/2 – 2 hours + you just want to finish.

Hard mode and Regular mode!!
Hard mode = Dungeons without rez-rushing
Regular mode = Dungeons WITH (PRE-PATCH) rez-rushing
This way the hardcores can play hardcore, the casuals can play the game they have gotten used to it, and have chill runs too. Ofc, regular mode might give less but its about “fun” and still ofc, have the chance to get loot as running it in any fashion should be rewarded. The mods could change HM/RM to as they see fit, with tokens, hp and damage reduction or buffs etc. But at least give us a system

Ok so I am used to skipping him but some groups require it and I just go. So, with all the spam on him from eles, mesmers, sparkly shinies on him etc and being using a ranged weapon myself
I CANT SEE HIS STUPID CHARGE UP ABILITY or whatever you guys call it. Ive heard “Dodge when he raises his sword” – Except when hes fighting, he raises his sword 100 times becuase, thats how you hit people. So he raises sword every second.
So how can you dodge reliabily if you cant see him? Id try to melee, but his whirl will own me and i cant heal while poison and have enough health left.
Same people who tell me l2 kholer etc end up dying too – thats the funny part! its a downed party but some people clearly think theres a way to do kholer without ever dying..

theres always been a bunch of times actually, where i get either all greens (literally all end chests + maw) or like barley any 1-2 rares max. other times the maw chest seemed to drop less items, and they were bad either way. pretty sure its just RNG being random again as my post-patch fractals seem the same.

i got like 3-4 assorted cores/lodestones total + drops (Awsome) from a level 4 daily run, and then all greens from a level 10 daily run after :p
well since you didnt do research, i wont give direct links, but there is some interview i recall saying that “every 3 months or so” a new tier of ascended gear will come out, and then playerse are given 3 months to “get that tier of new gear” etc…repeat….
so yes, you will be able too if this is right. google some of those quotes to try to find official article but that sums it up basically. yes, just you cant progress ASAP, just like they told you it would be in the start

Ok yes, guardian can technically heal others.
Why should i waste my own surviviability on others, when usually after spamming my virtues, i end up dying since i mis-timed a heal.
Everyone always expects me to buff them but really I need my heals for myself otherwise im not tanky.
What do you say to people who ask your guardian for heals constantly?
ok well i guess my team was bad but idk ive done it alot pre-patch and with this team i didnt notice him “flying down his hp bar” seemed the same. so on the other side of the coin, maybe your team ws better than you thought cuz i had the opposite experience. and only reason we failed was no rushing wp on death
where did you get the info the pools were reduced? had a team fail on path1’s first alpha 3 times today and he got to 50 percent only each time
its more due to if melee falls downed, i am 1 inch from them to pick them up. when i start kiting around the whole map for casters, im open to more damage and i just spend time running around like a headless chicken instead of dpsing

I constantly google gw2lfg.com search box for “Last boss” “Disconnect” “Final Room” “End Boss”. Why? I have no intention on doing dungeons in their entirety, I want DM Title and Tokens. So, because of the new patch and other things, I just wait till a team gets to the last boss, and then something happens, and they need a last to finish off the final part. Ive gotten p4 arah this way (Simin), I have no idea how Simin/Sparks work, nor do i care. I joined, DPS her, and moved on to final boss. Yay for lazy DM titles. Yay for lazy tokens.
Fractals? No way im spending 2 hours here, I wait for bad teams to fail, kick 1-2 people who cant live through agony, join 3/4 or at the end and finish the fractal teams run to obtain end game rewards without having to do the actual fotm in entirety.

Im a guardian and let me tell you Aegis is nothing. Sometimes in fact Aegis is wasted on a damage spell that does 10 damage, leaving you open to take the 5k lash hit afterward. The amount of times you will be hit while ressing downed, especially multiple people does not equal recharge time on aegis. also, why should i use the tool that makes me tanky, to “Waste” on ressing you. Learn to live because i need aegis to live or im just as squishy as a light armor if i dont have my special virtues.
Thieves stealth res is good ya, one thing that is helpful but also if players would man up and buy spykits you wouldnt need a thief.
My warrior, although 24k hp, will get downed in 5 seconds when ressing someone downed, causing me to go downed, and that player to still be downed. HP is nothing in this game when trying to res people and you have 4+ trash mobs hitting or 1 boss hitting.
Going to make all CoE groups “Melee-only”. Why? Anyone with Alpha exp knows, if you res a person out of melee range, you might as well sign your death wish. 1 hit AOE, combined with crystals that freeze you = Melee only way to go.
CoF path1? You already know its Melee only with 1 mesmer
Fractals? You best believe it. Look on gw2lfg already, you see Perfer Guard/War or Heavy pls.
TA? You think im going to risk dying and being kicked for failing on a light armor? Sorry, heavy has more armor aka more chance to live.
WHY HEAVY THOUGH? Tanky Dps. All other classes must decide either support or DPS.Heavy classes can melee, do support and DPS at once. Overall balanced.
yea i know what yaal talking about. problem with your logic, the groups can be pulled seperately. i.e. two groups instead of 1 big one. Just no one takes the time to try it or execute it. people just aoe the center, or cannon them.
try picking off the far right mob. single target, dodge backward, pull back and getting 1 group. pick that off, then kill the second.
way easiesr than ZERG RUSH>> oh we died >>Reset repeat till fail again. Use strategy.

Honestly, this is a travesty or good? And no, I dont die every 5 seconds.
The new ice attack isn’t difficult to evade. It has almost the same timing as Alpha’s ice aoe pretty much. Try not to backpedal all the way from point to point, sometimes its better to turn around and run. Often I find people getting closed in by the boss and waste dodges for unnecessary attacks.
Finally, there’s nothing wrong with skipping combat for one length of the way if you are low on hp. It is definitely safer to do this against the Ice Elemental rather than Powersuit, as Powersuit’s agony attack hits the whole room.
The issue is the agony insta hitting people, before they can dodge out of the AOE. Alpha’s AOE only applies any damage/conditions if you wait and do not dodge. For ice ele, The circles appear, agony is instantly applied, then additionally, the damage is applied if you dont dodge after. However, the intial agony is enough to kill by itself
and ya i never really considered pulling rabslovich in the next room an exploit o.o since in gw1 every encounter = Pull groups slowly to big open area. I had no idea it wasnt intended. Wheel, sketch a bit but again, not realize it was a “exploit”

Ok so basically for players who dont know the history of HotW it goes like this
Beginning of Time – Players do HotW Speedrun Path1. Required little time and decent drops.
Middle of Time – Players learned how to exploit and do all 3 paths in 1 run (180 tokens in 1 path)
3/4 Ago Into Current Times – HotW Path1 Re-Vamped to fix the 3 path bug, and also made 1 non-speedrunnable with the middle boss add’s addition + another buff to path1 i forget.
Current Times – Trying to restore the balance of players who dont do HotW because of the old buff by nerfing some veterans add’s and some other crap.
The thing is, I have already taken HotW out of my dungeon rotation, It has lost a significant playerbase, not many are likely to pick this dungeon up again. They went too far, its too late to “fix” by changing a few things. Sadly, this happens to alot of areas and dungeons. I think that this is just killing the game and when they try to get it back, there will be no one left to get it from cuz the mindset and routine already has ruled that area out
theres been some teams (30+ comes to mind) where we would do wheel before patch and Rabslovich didnt even take any damage until all the dredge were dead and we focus’ed 100 percent DPS on him. Probaly is a good idea to reduce his HP and I think I would be less mad about this dredge patch buff (minus the ice ele now which could be tweaked)
1. Can no longer make jade maw first spawn at either 25 or 50 health (Guardian Binding Blade ex-trick)
2. No longer can spawn 5+ Crystals from a jade maw tentacle (Binding blade)
3. Can no longer use Guardian Tome of Wrath to hold a wisp past after the round ends.

There are 2 (or 3) professions that can provide moderate anti-projectile services but don’t have to sacrifice as much dmg as guards:
Thief: SS and guards are NOWHERE near the DPS a thief can dish out
Mes: Feedback/Warden and NOWHERE near the DPS a mes can dish out
My guard in Knights gear can out DPS my mesmer which is in full glass cannon gear.
My guard in Beserker gear can out DPS my thief which is in full glass cannon gear.
My guard in Knights gear can rival closely my thief which is in full glass cannon gear, but has amazingly more survivibility and enables me to just sit there and spam attacks, making my dps better than thief.
Idk why there is such confusion about guardian damage, we arent warriors that spam 10K 100b, but we are not light classes doing 1k-2k either. We use greatsword, we do great damage. We use mace/scepter/staff/1h sword/etc… we do bad damage. Its all about the choice of weapon. ( staff/gs ftw)
This new patch is definatly Magg, dumbed down. I miss the old event, an actual challenge even with 1-2-2. Now this is a joke
Honestly, patch made Dredge Suit be the easier of the two bosses, when previously it was the harder. Now, the ice ele is ridiculous.
Last night I seen 3 gw2lfg postings for the ice ele, 3 slots open in each. No one could beat it. I joined, failed, left myself.
This is kitten now. I understand he was easy before, but this is insane. No other boss has insta agony you cant dodge besides like maw lol

1. Warriors using greatswords as their main attack specced into DPS Traits?
2. Everyone using a powerful potion vs undead
3. Everyone using a +Power food nourishment buff
4. Everyone using a Bloodlust sigil that was charged to 25 before fighting Simin
5. Having the least DPS be the main tear person (I.e. Non- warrior)
6. Ensuring these people who claim to be zerker, actually are zerker with gear checks
7. Wearing Ascended Rings and Backpieces
8. Running proper warrior builds: (FGJ, OMM, Banners)
No? Didn’t think so. And not that you need all these, I have done her with less but if you do have problems, try using some of these.

gw is a expensive fashion show. get gear, show it to friends, talk about it, do runs to pass time in between chilling. it is what u make it, just like anything
That makes no sense. If it was party-wide, youd still do it because there was a <Insert made up number here> percent chance of better drops. So theres really no way around it besides making it “grind gear” in which youd probaly go nuts about too. Failers Gon Fail
People are saying that it was confirmed posted the recipes now are “inappropriate”. Why would they be changed if there is one for tokens only. By the time someone gets to 30+ Fotm (the only case in which you’d need a infused backpiece, costing 250e-325e) someone should have a considerable amount of good gear, rares, lodestones etc to at least make a “Decent dent” in that ecto cost. If people claim they so casual:
-Why do you want top level tier gear
-Why are you running fotm 30+ which can take 2-3 hours + vs fotm 10 which is about an hour +
I don’t think rewards should be changed. The players who spent the time getting it should not be punished. Maybe new skins, new ones can come out with easier mats but to lower existing ones? Seems like the message is saying, if you have time to play, its worth nothing but if you play casually, your time is priceless. Very unfair.
I ran COF P1 for the first time in the day on guardian, 60 tokens. 26s.
I then immediately got on my mesmer, and ran COF P1, got 30 tokens/13s. (Appropriate DR)
I then did ANOTHER back to back run on my mesmer, and got 20 tokens/26s.
Lol, so why 26s the third time but 13s the 2nd time? Tokens, seem to be working proper.
All runs were speed clears and took 15-22 mins each.
me2 dude. i ran AC all 3 paths, no problem. then reset hit. i did cof (hadnt done a cof in 5 hours) and i got 45 tokens, did path2, 45 tokens..
so DR is changed/bugged/fixed now to where if you do too many dungeons, you hit DR ?!@?!?! even if they are new ones?!?! gr…
