Hi, I have done this quest in the past without any problems, probaly about 2 months ago. Today though when I tried to do this event “Help Rakkan collect risen fish oil glands for merla” it wouldnt let me interact or click any of the thingys that have the item he collects. I tried to guest to 2 other servers and both wouldnt work still. I tried like 5 hours later and no avail. I tried talking to the NPC while the quest was up, but he didnt make them clickable. When I did it in past I just clicked them to get item….
what is wrong? is everyone having this problem?
I would be very appreciative if a player could actually go test this quest out and tell me if it worked for them specifically, not just general comments. Thanks so much

Before even if you kept the weapon with Demon Summoning / AKA / Fleshreaver sigil, if you simply swapped to your offhand weapon, the stacks and charges would go away.
With the patch, you can now freely swap in between main and off hand weapons and your Fleshreaver stacks STAY NOW!!!!

The only comment thats actually explaining differences is that statement, which happens to be completly untrue.
If you take a target and spam 1 with Nec/War, I bet the Necros LF Bar fills before Adren. You just have to use correct skills if you want to gain life force over utility skills.
Warriors can choose to use zerk stance, cleansing ire, inspire shouts etc, to gain adren in a few strikes but thats TRAITED and also it has a cd. The regular adren gain when a war hits is quite slow and would take ages without an outside source.
Right now people will aggressively put in buy orders. For example:
Player 1 Buy order’s a rune for 5g
Player 2 Buy order’s same rune for 5g and 1c
Player 1 Removes old buy order, puts in new buy order for 5g and 2c.
Player 2 notices, removes old order, and puts in 5g and 3c.
This is very tedious and annoying. Players just camping TP overcutting your order by 1c, especially when you want 100 and he wants like 3. People dont lose any money because its free to buy order. So they wont lose anything unlike selling.
Is anything being done to address this without reading all the notes? and in plain english?

NO! They need some type of way to track what the engi is doing. If they did this, I wouldnt know if I could get Magnet or anything. Its like asking for the warrior to have no visual cues before kill shot or eviscerate.
OP: Please hide all visual tells on engi so I can do whatever and the oppoent has no idea what to expect.
Sure its a nice plea for your class, but you gotta realize kits are powerful and tehres a reason for the visual tell. Its not always for you, or your class. Its for players to see “Watch Out”
Post changes, how come a necro can engage with full life force that they built up pre fight, yet warriors have to build adrenaline from 0 always after the changes.
nerf death shroud if they get to do that. if any class gets the mechanic changed, shouldnt all classes tthat use the mechanic of building up “x” in a bar to power them up pre fight be changed?
With the new announced Warrior changed, when a Warrior leaves combat, Adrenaline will start to decay right away. Thats fine but then they must change necro because its the same mechanic but it wasnt changed.
Life Force Bar.. Its exactly like the Adrenaline bar, but for necros. You can gain it easily, just tapping a gate in wvw a few times on staff. It gains fast and then you can hold it forever, even out of combat.
DEVS have been quoted as saying necs should build it in combat over time, and when the battle is drawn out. necs are strongest. This unfair thing makes nec able to engage with full Life Force, but warriors to engage with ALWAYS 0 adrenaline.
Not fair, please post on the class balance to get them to fit this in time.
Make retaliation affect damage taken from arrow carts.
A global wide system thats universal to all servers during certain timezones could help round out the mismatch between sides.
NA:
Buff – Players with 3 or less players within 3000 range of them get a +50 bonus to all stats. Nerf – Arrow Carts Deal 25% less damage, and the condition duration is reduced by 25%
EU:
Buff – Player loot, when killed outside of a keep/tower range is doubled.
Nerf – Capping Circles take 3x as long to cap objectives.
OCX:
Buff – Siege Weapons deal 2x damage
Nerf – If any one color owns all 3 keeps on 1 map, the PPT is reduced by 30 Per Tick
SEA:
Buff – Players gain +50 to all stats if they have been on a map for 15 minutes or less.
Nerf – Creating Orange Swords gives everyone in the area 5 stacks of confusion for 5 seconds.
Should servers get a PPT decrease next week if they pre maturly give up the previous week?

uh that build has no stability.
you can either run full tank build or classic heal shout warrior.
heal shout would have last stand and only 2 in the bottom tree so you can get clensing ire + last stand. also balance stance for beserker is the classic build. most commanders i see dont run healing shouts but it largely depends on if your leading pugs ,leading pugs in a big zerg, or leading your guild group unpinned etc. so try heal shouts and if you die too much then go full tank .
if you run signet + traited warhorn you dont need the 25 percent run speed in bottom trait. you should have perma swiftness between warhorn/signet/guardians etc

I’ve been trying to get on Blackgate for two days now, & apparently there’s not even a queueing system in this game for “full” servers, you need to just keep checking all day to see if/when anyone ever logs out, so then you might be able to log in & make a character there yourself…
This system sucks! Please implement a queueing system so we can just get in queue & create a character when the queue pops, instead of this “lol tough luck, server’s full, try again later or go somewhere else” crap we’re stuck with.

Servers are only important for WvW, pve it doesn’t really matter which server you use, and you can play with friends on other servers no problem at all.(so long as you’re in the same region, NA/EU can’t play together)
its also for World Buffs gained from wvw. if your new or poor you want the crafting bonuse’s. maybe the +HP bonus for fighting open world etc or the plethora of other buffs.
also wvw is pve, since its required for map completion

I do agree its overpowered and unfair etc, but thats like saying playing a roaming thief is an exploit because its better. I remember for the past , oh say, since launch the t2 servers would hardcore and I mean severely make fun of t1 for queues. They would say enjoy sitting and waiting etc with blobs etc. Im sure most people know.
Id love to see a screenshot of T2 NA Prime queues if there are any because as most of the people here can tell you, t1 is no longer queued almost anytime besides reset.
Maybe if a few guild groups decide to group on 1 map itll have a short queue, but the only reason they all group to one BL is because the other BL has literally 0 people and they just get outnumbered. So they would split up but because of the lack of people, they queue 1 borderland to ensure they can help each other. However, its never a huge queue.
So has t2 NA queues finally be longer than t1 NA queue? if so or even if its semi close, or even if they have the same numbers during NA, doesnt this make them the ultimate hypocrits
Although there is some guilds that have been on server since day 1, a majority of guilds hop around in order to preserve their guild’s happiness. Most GvG guilds move quite often. Some have transfered for seasons etc. Basically, the majority outnumbers the minority of loyal guilds. Just merge everything like megaserver/eotm and revive wvw.
Doesnt matter if PPT suffers, and one servers loses towers more often because of this etc. Clearly the PPT only model hasnt worked out for WvW/gw2
well what am i supposed to do when attacked, be forced to fight back no matter what?? Fighting is based around Damage, Support, Control. You have to CC them, than damage them and heal if needed. If you want to just run damage and heal without the 3rd component, than your not adhering to the principles combat was designed around.
You play on the most stacked, siege using, blobbing, ppt matters most server in guild wars 2.
I see how the dialogue is going to go if there is a S3, sorry to burst your bubble but JQ isn’t the most stacked server. We are stacked in SEA time, that is all.
No actually, JQ has more in most timezones than others. The thing about the other servers “Strong NA” is that since the game is NA, no matter what there will be at least a modicum of resistance. This was proven on SoR, they had a strong NA but even with that its never enough to win because the t3 keeps JQ has are still time consuming to take with even small resistence. No server wants to hit garry every night when they could be having real fights so having strong NA doesnt make a server good, its the other time zones that really matter. Even though JQ isnt stacked NA, the game has enough NA players to defend keeps.
There has been times its out#‘d on all 4 maps, JQ will have a 40+ zerg. Thats truly out#’d. When there is like literally 3 people on the map. Not just when you have 20-30 people on the map but not organized or have no commander etc because at least there are people to use the AC’s.

This isnt personal to 1 server. All server’s have weak timezones but there are still players who play during them who would like more support. Stop looking at PPT, how many times can I say this. I am asking for justice for the players who play in OCX,SEA,EU,Late NA. I want all players, all servers, to be able to be semi competitive. I dont care if my server was ahead by 100k, but had a weak EU. Id want EU filled more, so those people have fun like me, and so forth. PPT is irrelevant!!
Here are links to threads of people, some t2 or below, some t1 complaining about the imbalance. So here is your “proof” not all lower tier servers enjoy fighting outmanned, on empty maps. Again, it has nothing to do with PPT, it has everything to do with having at least a force of 20 or more to fight enemy zerg. No need for any specific server comments. This is a problem that affects EVERY SERVER. ALL servers have at least 1 weak time slot. I dont think writing those people off and saying oh well is very nice, regardless of if they streamroll every other timezone. Those players should get some form of support from Anet.
Example: Server A vs B, C. Server A has a 50k lead, but during Late NA, the players who thats their prime have no one to play with. Does that mean they should be punished during their prime because their server has coverage in other zones? NO WAY.
We need the people. People from lower tiers might claim to love their small roaming servers but in actuallity most dont enjoy it and they should help because as of now this is boring. Force them to play with us.
Since the top tiers are full of band wagon server jumpers anyway and the bottom tiers are communities of people that have likely been playing on their servers since release, the better solution is to disband the tier 1 servers and let them migrate to different servers.
We do enjoy our roaming servers, if we didn’t we would transfer. If I was forced into your no skill blobfest I would quit the game.
JQ has had guilds since the start of WvW, most wins in t1, etc. Also some people such as Cloud Fly like to have his own or small guild, but lead almost every day in EB and has been on JQ since forever. Thats not really bandwagon. BG has had lots of core guilds too. SoR/TC has had a large number of the same guilds stay. So basically alot of guilds stay loyal in community, and some dont. Sounds quite normal and pretty irrelevant.
Blobfest? Have you read any of the posts and/or screens? We are outmanned 3/4 maps, and the 1 map we have 20 people on pin. You easily could roam or fight with a 20 person group or not roll with a main commander and havoc.
Either you still believe things posted 1 year ago or your intentionally trying to sabatoge the thread. Im asking for balance, not to fill up map queues for 80v80 Fights. If things were balanced, it could be broken into 1 havoc of 20, etc. Fully fitting your requirement of not blobbing.
This is why I am asking for an official response. Servers can do whatever they want, It doesnt matter why servers recruit, its irrelevant. There are NA players who play outside NA Prime and would like not to having nothing to do except for NA Prime for a few hours. There are international players who play outside NA Prime who run 15 people vs a zerg.
They arent on <x> server to make sure their side wins, they are their for community, friends, etc and as a side result of naturally playing WvW, increase the PPT or defend keeps. They arent purposefully going out to "Save <x> servers PPT and be hereos. They just want to play WvW like everyone else but in a more balanced fashion. They arent deluded superheros thinking they will save the server. They are normal people, like you, who want fights, maybe will defend a tower if they want too once in a bit, and experience the normal and natural things people do in WvW.
I am telling you after playing in T6/7 the past four months, after having played T1-3 since launch, there is actually more borderland activity in these tiers than there frequently is in the higher tiers.
Whenever a tier 2 server has the misfortune of facing a tier 1, it’s a massive stomp. And tier 2 is where the gvg guilds congregate, so it’s not for lack of skill that they are permanently pushed off their bl and into their corner of EBG.
Hell, if you check the scores this week, there are stomps in the lower tiers already forming.

THIS IS MY POINT. The t2 servers arent going for PPT, they play for fights right? But when its just a massive imbalance, it degrades the experience. This is my point exactly. Even the most pro t2 guild fighting a big zerg will be stomped and tower taken.
In no way am I saying there SHOULD be map queues. I dont care about having full maps. But we need at least a small base of players equal to minimum half the enemys numbers to try to make a stand
Its kinda like saying JQ is recruiting EU because they want to win more PPT. That would be a false statement. They want EU so the people who play during EU actually can have fun and fights that arent incredibly imbalanced. Its not to say they want 4 map queues or even 1. Its to say they want more than 15 people on a tag that has to fight zergs.
End Result: Certain Timezones are completly unbalanced to the point where its become impossible to find a fight where your not dwarfed in numbers by over 50 percent. These range from OCX, SEA, Late NA, EU. There needs to be a way to somehow balance it to make it possible to have a fight that isnt ridiculous. The servers know during <x> time they will lose massive PPT, and they accept that. We honestly dont care, but when that timezone is so weak to the point where you cant even get 25 people on tag, it degrades the experience. Those timezones affect all 3 servers, so we need a WORLD solution. Not, transfer <x> timezone people to <x> server. All 3 servers have timezones that arent enjoyable to play. That should be changed imo. Its not about PPT.
Basically, anything besides nothing would be welcomed.
Engi/Ele have only 1 weapon slot with no option to weapon switch. All other classes have the option to weapon swap.
This gives Ele/Engi the option to use: Two, 1 Handed weapons or One, 2 Handed Weapon.
This gives others the option to use: Four, 1 Handed weapons or Two, 2 Handed Weapons.
Which Means: Ele/Engi = 2 Sigil Slots. Others = 4 Sigil Slots.
How does this disadvantage Ele/Engi? Passive Sigils. Stacking Sigils.
Lets take a Warrior. Lets say they run GS and sword/warhorn. The GS can have 2 offensive sigils such as Force and Fire, to provide maximum DPS, while the s/wh, used as utility and not DPS can carry the passive Bloodlust Sigil. This means their GS does full DPS, while not having to sacrifice the Fire damage for Bloodlust. Bloodlust isnt bad on their warhorn since they arent looking to do damage with it.
Lets take ele: Since we only have 2 spots. If we use bloodlust, that means we must sacrifice the useage of Force and/or Fire to accommodate Bloodlust. This means we dont have the DPS Potential of other classes due to the restriction.
Yes I know engi have kits, ele have attunment. Its not the point, re-read post. You cant socket sigils in utility slots.

Yes, part of this is possible theorycrafting but I would offer an alternative theory to yours.
Since during NA, t1 has MAX 1-2 maps queued and they are quick 10-15 people queues at max, there is ample room for people. Since t3-t8 have low populations and not many people, splitting ALL of them between 3 t1 servers, 3 t2 servers and since not everyone plays NA would actually balance things.
There is no way an influx of small pop servers could cause heavy queues at WvW’s current state. Especially between kitten all servers. After 11 PM EST, There is almost never a queue, 1 if were lucky. The small queues typically occur around 8:30PM-11:30 PM EST. However, late NA is needed on TC/JQ. For the people not on eastern time, our 11:30 is only 8:30. This is still NA Prime for those people, its not right to exclude them. The other servers naturally would have some West Coast NA which is actually needed.
All the evidence points to the other servers filling in the gaps and making other BL’s populated again, not filling it to the point of overflow.
Only Timezone thats semi full is Eastern NA and its not even that full. The queues are short outside 2 hours past reset night. All other timezones are gaping. Theres no way the pops of t3-8 can epicly fill 6 servers(t1-t2’s), especially since t3-t8 dont play much wvw in the first place, 6 servers is alot, theres many BL’s needing people etc… Plus small queues arent that bad and if its a 5-20 minute wait or a 2 hour wait before more than 5 people log in..
BTW: This isnt a summary of TC, its a summary of all servers. So this isnt TC specific so you can stop the comments lol. Ive played on all t1 servers (sor, bg, jq, tc), some paid xfers, some not. I play to follow good commanders, not zerg non TS using commanders or PPT. So I dont mean to say help <x> server. This is more a summary of what ive seen throughout my history.

Ignoring the problem doesnt make it go away. This topic REQUIRES a developer response containing real information and not a generic PR statement that contains no actual concern for the problem, but a condemnation of people posting about problems.
Its saturday, should be the most popular day to play of the week. However, see photo. This isnt because other servers are bad. This isnt other servers losing open field fights and proceeding to lose keeps etc. Its purely numbers.
Fix it Anet. Its not anyones fault, I dont blame a server for having numbers, power to them. However, others should not suffer as much as this.
There is a gigantic problem, any plans to fix? Honestly, there should be only two tiers. T1 and T2. Merge all lower tier servers to t2 or t1. We need the people. WvW population is low for whatever speculative reasons. Please merge tiers ASAP before more damage is done. T1/T2. Id say t3 too but theres honestly not enough people.
There are 2 things about “Stack here” that sometimes go wrong that can cause a fight to be way harder than it has to be. Does anyone know what causes these to happen?
1. The boss gets “Melee Pushed” out of the corner. This is when you fight a boss and it slowly gets moved through the AI by walking or edging slowly out of the corner until its out of FGS range and a few inches off the corner. What causes things to be melee pushed out?
2. The boss stays on the edge of the corner rather than fully run into the V shape of the corner. This makes it harder to use skills on the wall and eventually the party will just move out of the stack to keep hitting. I think this is caused if someone hits the boss early, as its pulling to us, before it can properly be in place but im not sure.
For subject alpha pulling I usually hit him, wait 1/2 a second, and run in the stack and he pulls good but occassionally Ill see that if I cast a delayed spell like Ele earth staff #2(Churning earth), and run in the stack before it hits, he will aggro onto spire before pulling. So it seems like he needs that split second to see you before you hide in order to pull properly. Although I remember it working once or twice and it seems to work in SE P1 for golem pulling. So is this RNG or ?
The chances of an organized conspiracy to kick someone for no reason and/or profit is extremely low.

If teams see you have 0 AR you might be kicked, they could give the person a chance in level 1, actually showing compassion until its too much to handle in the second level

Not many guilds or people kick for fun or lulz. There might of been something done on your part either voluntary or involuntary that caused a vote kick. Try brushing up on the dungeon forums to minimze agitation of party members.

Before the Troop Commander NPC was added, you would fight Tazza alone, without the other NPC existing, she would drop the standard “10s per champion” ruleset/previous patch rules. give 10s+ omnomberry + guild buffs etc = 15s.
They figured p1 was too profitable in the days you could repeat dungeons, removed her silver as a stealth patch one day.
Now that dungeons are pretty much once a day only, I think we should ask for a revert in her loot as it was made during a different ruleset for dungeons entirely.
Note: see its always indo runs, i havent tried the farm yet assuming it might be a style of speed run that i dont know the customs of or what.
i see alot of people farming p1 SE no tazza. the lfg also says “indo” alot. what does that mean? is this farm worth it? any special ways its done? i see they always need guard
There needs to be DR on the TP too.
I.E. List 10 ectos per day = 10 % tax. List 30 ectos per day = 15% Tax. List 50 ecto per day = 20% Tax. List 100 ectos per week = 40% Tax.
List 10x 100g items per week = 30% Tax. List 1 100g item per week = 5% Tax.
Something that scales like PvE, Something that DR’s, Something that stops farming, Something that stops Power-Trading, etc. Anything would be welcomed.
Since healway guard in any type of PvE setting would be purely for the lulz and funz, why would you min/max your runeset? Just do whatevers cooler because honestly if your trying to go “maximum efficiency” in anything PvE I would advise immediate scrap of your build.
If your in WvW, then dont be selfish, your healing for your zerg/havoc squad. So since your already super tanky from running full healing power, use a rune that benefits your team more than yourself
I dont spvp but thats probaly the only instance or setting where Monk/Water runes would be debatable in which case I think water since your not always near people but maybe a pro would disagree
The only things that you can farm is :
1. WvW – Assuming you have a massive zerg and the enemy has a nice sized zerg that continuly wipes to you or flips stuff that you can re-flip. People who call EoTm are crazy, its nothing close to a real farm. However, this WvW Scenario is rare and likely only on fridays during K-Train or sometimes rarely on a big server during LS
2. Trading Post
Every other type of farming has DR in it. Since WvW rarely gives rewards and in fact is unrewarding most of the time, even though its open to 24/7 farming should not be nerfed. However, please nerf TP. Allow only “X” listings per day. Or allow a total of 20G per day to be listed, in reality I make about 5-7G max per day on TP. However, to bypass the 20G cap, one could list 1 item for over 20g, once per day so you could list your dusk, etc…but then you couldnt also list the tons of other items you powerbought.
Something must be done. Idc, if my TP idea isnt perfect, neither is the other nerfs so nerf TP asap, and even though WvW is farmable in theory, its not in practice so leave it alone.
The problem is “healers” can only really heal Warriors/Necros etc. Id love to see a full cleric guardian heal my zerker ele, even full Benevolence, Cleric gears, cleric utilitys/traits cannot heal my ele, since im basically going to be 1 shot, also you have to be in range etc… it might work on certain class comps but when you get ele/thief/ranger id like to see you heal them from 1hp to full even in the most tankiest of gear that does 0 dmg
About serious discussion, does anyone know why mesmer’s who reflect alphards bomb pull with feedback/curtain deal like 4k damage, but when phantasms reflect it, they deal about 24k damage? Been trying to figure that one for a while now, yet can’t come up with any logical reason.
Is this patch update line the beggining the end for Reflect Way dungeons/tactics : The Great Jungle Wurm in Caledon Forest no longer does full damage to itself from reflected projectile attacks. A certain number of the projectiles are no longer reflectable.
What if that was instated in dungeons? :c

I did the Aetherblade (3rd) fractal and during the cannon aoe phase before the last boss, one of the mobs dropped me a blade shard. I was amused.
