It’s a good choice for people who are sick of Power Glint/Shiro style. Mace+Axe is the more offensive route for condi builds. Sword UA is bugged at the moment so it’s best avoided for now, take staff for your defensive weapon.

Also another aspect of condi rev is that you need a partener to stun break you as you have fewer options for stun breaking than power revenant….you will find that Coruption will pigeonhole you into Demonic Defiance ….. especialy now since they buffed it to proc before you finish casting the heal on demon stance.

Here is my 2 cents

Warrios: Master-at-arms
Weapon: Melee staff, designed with an AA suited for fighting multiple opponents, a mid range (450 range) poke that taunts, one evasive skill similar to burning retreat and 2 skills for burst damage
New utilities:combat tactics:similar to the meditation skills of the mesmers, these utilities are aimed to enhance weapon attacks with aditional effects.
New Mechanic: adds a fourth adrenaline bar
Traits: improve condi duration & boon duration, more rewards for bursting

Guardian: Shaman
Weapon: main hand axe:mobility weapon 1 leap finisher, 1 attack with built in dodge mechanic
New Utilities: wells
New Mechanics: virtues are replaced with totems…these totems pulsate the effect of the active virtues they replaced over a certain perriod. You can place up to 2 of totems
Traits: involve changing the type of combo field generated by ALL symbols, increasing number of totems to 4, reducing cd on wells and main hand axe.

Well after reading this bit: “For the most part, this update has mainly been focused on fixing bugs for the revenant. With that said, we’re also looking to improve both Ventari and his trait line. We are being cautious in this regard so that the Legendary Centaur Stance stays in line with the healing potential of similar builds” and seing the buffs made to guardian….I am gonna go Guardian and leave my condi rev alone.

Rework Revenant Sword

Jack Skywalker.5674

No,I disagree with the Op on that. I think that sword 2&5 are the only skills which need a rework and that sword 3 should have been on the off hand not the main hand. I also think the AA is fine.

The reason why Sword 2 needs a rework is because you can’t control what the kitten thing hits, so I think it should be reworked into a skill shot which creates a large wave that hits up to 3 targets in fron of the caster and chills them.

Sword 5 despite being the most situational skill in the game should have been on the main hand simply because frigid blitz is on the off hand axe and revenant would be a more mobile class if we can have frigid blitz and grasping shadow on one weapon slot and staff 5 on the other. The only rework I would do to Grasping Shadow is take out the fury and chill effects and buff the range of the shadowstep.

With sword 3 I am fine – it’s a third dodge in 1 v x which also gives might and can burst rly hard in 1 v 1, but it should not have been put on the main hand …. I just hate seeing that skill used with the shield in the off hand….it makes my stomach turn, because sword 3 is designed to fit a ninja archetype (fast attacks mixed in with acrobatics and speed enhancing magic) and using a shield (which normaly lowers your speed and has no business with the ninja archetype which is the flavor of swords and shiro) feels wrong – its the reason why I avoid using sword and shield on Revenant.

Rework Revenant Sword

Jack Skywalker.5674

No…Revenant is just kitten because they added weapon swaping to a profession which didn’t have weapon swaping during alpha and beta and now their whole design is messed up because when they designed the weapons they never accounted for this.

Secondly, mh sword as a whole is not in a good spot for 1 v x, it’s just the AA, sword 2 & 3 are bad for 1 v x because you have no way of knowing which targets will be hit…..so nerfing sword again would be bad. If we are to get into off hand sword as well, again most of the stuff seems designed for 1 v1 – yeah the block may be usable in 1 v x but you have no way of figuring out which target will get hit by the imobilize and sword 5 is super situational.

When I first looked at sword I also thought it was for 1 v 1…..I didn’t care to look at wiki for hiden mechanics like how many targets can the rift on last sequence of sword AA can hit etc …. I was more interested in hiting people with a staff in melee range and playing healer, because the whole play style of ventari seemed interesting. (what I am trying to say is revenant sword is the weapon I have the least practical experience with)

Whether staff is a DPS weapon or not is irrelevant; it is the weapon that is intended for 1 vs. X encounters; this is not debatable, it is obviously the case. Whatever your assessment of how it performs or whatever label you decide to make for it does not change the fact that it exists and its purpose. It’s absolutely ridiculous to claim sword needs changes because of 1 vs. X scenarios just because you dismiss the staff. If anything, if sword has as strong a multi target ability as you claim along with all the other great things it does, it needs a nerf, not a buff.

Makes me wonder what you’re even complaining about. Good single target skills. According to you, lots of multiple target goodness even better than the intended multiple target weapon. Sounds it’s too good.

Yeah yeah whatever. You disagree with OFFICIAL blog made by Roy about staff being a support/utility weapon to throw your little opinion.. that completely miss the reality but.. whatever.

Its ok, please provide me official source about staff being an intended weapon to 1vX. Ill be waiting, hf. And no, if you cant provide that then dont post here anymore.

I don’t disagree with that official blog; being support and utility doesn’t mean staff wasn’t intended to be multiple-target oriented; another bad leap in logic you’re making there.

Don’t worry, I won’t keep you waiting too long, especially when I’m right. The proof is simply looking at the skills; every staff skill hits multiple targets, lots of them. Not sure if that’s ‘OFFICIAL’ enough for you though, but it is created by Anet to be that way … You don’t need to be a genius to see that, which is why someone from NA, as stupid as you claim we all are, can see that a weapon where all skills hit multiple targets … is intended to be a multiple target weapon. It’s simple to see unless you decide to purposefully not see it.

It’s no matter anyways … you already acknowledged you agree with me that sword isn’t situational because it’s good for every situation, even ones where it’s not intended to be, which is my original point and even more anyways.

Now we have established we agree that sword is too good at everything, I would love to hear what you think needs to be nerfed on it.

I actualy did a 1 v 3 test and it turns out that sword AA outdamages staff AA . Also after rereading this bs argument list,I can translate wtf this guy is actualy trying to say. Sword AA does very good in 1 v x and that it is confusing to have an AA which outperforms staff AA for group scenarios when sword 2 & 3 are designed for 1 v 1 use.

Wheter or not this will stay after the 26th…..we got 3 days to find out…anyway Burstink also threw at you the wrong blogpost:

“The Rift Slash attack will slash at foes in front of your character. Any foe that is struck will have an unstable mist rift sliced into them. After a short delay, this rift will explode, damaging nearby foes. This skill is the third part of the autoattack chain and works great in large groups of foes.” (source: https://www.guildwars2.com/en/news/slashing-devastation-and-a-memorable-assassin/ )

As to whether those rifts are reliable past 1 v 3….I don’t care, I’m reroling to thief which also has an AA designed for group situations and weapon skills designed for 1 v 1.

For Precision Strike, wouldn’t it be easier to make just 1 big wave that can hit 3 targets in front of you instead of 3 smaller waves and make it a skillshot, like GS #2 on Warrior? Personaly in group situations I only use UA as a third dodge – I find it good but situational as it is and I’m fine with it staying like that.

Also the way I see things now,the problems are with our off hand options axe should have been a dagger and grasping shadow should have been on said dagger, and the axe 5 should have been on sword off hand.

I used axe and mace while leveling and for pvp I started using recently the sword instead of hammer (there was a time when I did not feel good not having a range weapon as a pug in pvp- now I stoped caring). Anyway I feel that having Frigid Blitz and Grasping Shadow on 1 weapon would increase the mobility of Rev outside of Shiro almost dramaticaly, while making off hand sword the go to for defense and kiting.

So while your 7 book series was entertaining to scroll through, there are somes holes in your argument.

  • The schools of magic no longer exist. That was the prevailing theory in gw1, but because science is God gw2 had debunked that theory. Not that particularly liked that they tossed out much of their lore, but I’m not in control of those decisions.
  • Revenants had Ritualists as their inspiration, so it wouldn’t be unlikely to have a ritualist themed spec considering Revenant is the “more advanced and progressive” ritualist.
  • Ritualists existed in gw1 far before Factions was ever created. Necromancer had Ritual spells that acted nothing like actual Ritualists. Other popular builds involved N/Rt or Rt/N. None of those things have to be related.
  • Gw1 Rits were a combination of Necro, Monk, Ele, and Ranger at least. Guardians are Warriors, Monks, Dervishes and Paragons combined. The way they’re mixed have nothing to do with other classes, especially when those who actually make the lore can do whatever they want. Just because you don’t think they can make a Rit based E-Spec doesn’t mean it’s actually impossible for them to make a summoning based legend.

Your headcanon means nothing.

Would like to add to this some of the holes I found in your arguments. The Revenant does not have pacts formed with Jallis, Shiro, Ventari or Malyx, he simply channels a portion of their power from the mists (this happens either againts their will or without them knowing), the only exception to this is Glint – based on information from a thread I made earlier about expanding the role of Herald from an RP and gameplay perspective ( https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/professions/revenant/Suggestions-for-Revenant-Elite-Specs/first#post6247731 ). So yeah it’s totaly possible to have a magic themed ranged dps spec for Revenant called Ritualist.

Rev sword no, I don’t play too often, so I never had the opportunity to notice stuff like that – I main support rev Mace+Shield+Staff (I boon bot resistance and whatever else Glint can throw). Did test in actual game instead of using the numbers for skills listed on http://en.gw2skills.net/ and yeah, it has potential….the first 2 skills in the sword AA sequence outdamaged the first 2 skills in the staff sequence vs 3 golems…same with the last hit on both sequences. You are right the sword design is contradicting itself….PS and UA are for 1v1 scenarios and AA is very good in up to 1v3…..I am not convinced however that sword aa is any good past 1 v 4 because from what I cat tell you can only attach rifts to 3 targets.

*staff AA link 1 does 560 damage vs 3 targets while sword AA link 1 does 586 damage + 1 stack of vulnerability vs 1 target

*staff AA link 2 does 645 damage vs 3 target while sword AA link 2 does 625 damage + 2 stacks of vulnerability vs 1 target

*staff AA link 3 does 860(x2) damage vs sword AA link 3 does 703 damage + 234 damage – both AA links hit only 3 targets according to in game description (will trust you and say rift explosion can hit more)

Huh? Are you aware that sword aa provides more damage than staff aa? Are you aware of things like cast and aftercast? And lastly.. are you aware that sword aa can hit 3 targets while each rift can hit up 5 invidual enemies for a total of 15 (3×5)? Do you even rev? Cause im not sure based on what you said here.. then again im tired af.

Too bad cause sword behaves like it want to be multiple target weapon. I mean just look at this sword.. its full of aoe

I am saying that the dps from the sword rift is smaller than what the staff aa can dish out in 1 vs x situations and that your math does not hold up from 1 v 4 and upwards because you have no way of determining where the strike damage goes (yeah rift damage will hit more than 4,but the damage is super small).

also each rift? Either I need glasses or you play GW2 after drinking because I barely see the one rift mentioned in the description of sword aa link 3 that is summoned let alone a second one. Per total all 3 links of staff AA hit for about 2925 damage constantly vs 3 targets while sword AA does 1211 damage to 1 target and provided both sword attack and rift explosion conect will hit for just 937 – provided my eyesight is allright and it’s only 1 rift summoned. From 1 v 4 outwards the initial damage from sword AA 3 gets bad because of damage fallout (it hits a maximum of 3).

Dude i aint going to waste my block and 20 energy for junk immobilize. I also have no issues landing sword 5 a in pvp. You might as well tell me to chill the target before grasping shadow as its also effective method. Point is why bother? Grasping shadow is not effective, it doesnt even make sense to be a pull in the first place.. A melee pull.. like wtf dude? As for your solid evade of UA.. see pic. * – personal note: dps is irelevant if it got you out of aoe bursts and gave you stacks of might- *

Why would I not swap to my staff in that situation?

Cause Sword aa has higher damage than anything junk staff has to offer. Maybe you have not noticed but at last hit of sword aa chain you create a rift which can hit up to 12 times – its provides quite a large boost to damage in this case.

Based on your logic…because the third link on sword AA does damage to multiple targets the first and second link should do the same things, right? I took the time to break down staff AA and sword AA – the setup is berserk amulet with no runes I discovered the following:

*staff AA link 1 does 560 damage vs 3 targets while sword AA link 1 does 586 damage + 1 stack of vulnerability vs 1 target

*staff AA link 2 does 645 damage vs 3 target while sword AA link 2 does 625 damage + 2 stacks of vulnerability vs 1 target

*staff AA link 3 does 860(x2) damage vs sword AA link 3 does 703 damage + 234 damage – both AA links hit only 3 targets according to in game description (will trust you and say rift explosion can hit more)

Bottom line: if the values on the tooltips of the skills are correct, then rift made by rift strike can target more than 3 targets, then the rift does about 234 damage per target

Why would I not swap to my staff in that situation?

Cause Sword aa has higher damage than anything junk staff has to offer.

That makes no sense .. I can’t follow this contradicting logic you’re presenting … you’re saying that sword suffers in a 1vs X environment in one post, I question why you would even use a sword in that 1 vs X situation and now you’re contradicting yourself by saying you would use sword over staff in that situation because sword AA does lots of damage, even though staff hits multiple targets and sword doesn’t?

If you are actually going to suggest sword is better than staff in 1 vs. X situations, for whatever reason, then it’s completely and utterly ridiculous to suggest sword is deficient compared to staff in those same 1 vs. X situations. #logic

Based on the above quote and my findings, I would have to say that you want sword aa to do staff aa’s job in terms of damage dealing in 1 v X situations. In terms of AA staff is the better weapon for 1 v X

@Burtnik.5218 you can do staff 5 into sword 5 to land a clean hit – no need to waste sword 4,but you got to be very fast and precise. Also compared to other skills UA doesn’t give you might when cast compared to other abilities….so yeah you lose burst damage but you get stacks of might to compensate for damage loss after the aoe storm.

Personaly I don’t think sword needs changes to AA or PS and UA’s purpose is pretty clear (single target burst or escaping aoe in group situations) but I would like to see UA and GS swap places within the sword kit simply because I dislike the look of doing UA while equiped with a shield – it does not feel right to me.

I can’t think of a situation where I DON’T want those abilities. In fact, the stuff that Sword 2 and 3 are made of are the opposite of situational … I want to spam them all the time because they are always good.

Sword 2 and 3 are good vs multiple targets? So you run into a group of 5 mobs and instead of aa them to death in 2sec, you prefer to cast UA and tickle them? Sounds good.

Sword is the only weapon ingame that loses damage vs your target in 1vX situation. No other weapon share similiar mechanic. Backstab wont deal 75% less damage to someone bc theres 2 diff targets around. Vault wont have it damage halved by 75% cause 5 people stand stacked on point. HB wont lose 75% damage to a boss bc next to him there are 2 adds. Lava font wont deal reduced damage bc 5 mobs are standing on it. You get the point?

If they want sword to single out enemies as they say then yes its time to rework it into pure 1v1 weapon or give us perks to punish stacking (like everyone taking damage from UA around my target) and not being punished bc enemy stacked (which we cant control whatsoever, displacement was removed)

Man you’re like an inquisitor with you speeches – and you’ve been at it for so long . I like the sword as is , and would rather not have it reworked. It’s not meant to work like vault or backstab. UA is meant for offence 1v1 and defence in groups . 2 can function as soft cc, besides a strong hit in 1v1. And what are you talking about being unable to single out an enemy ? Yes you can control stacking , probably one of the most capable proffesions at that tbh. Between Chaotic Relase , staff 5 and sword 5 you can push anyone out quite far . And hitting with sword 5 is not nearly as hard as people paint it out to be .

Bro….those people who kitten about sword 5…most of them do it in a PvP context. In PvE I have no problem hitting with sword 5…as long as I don’t try and hit a dragon or some other huge boss.

With the upcoming patch I decided to make a thread where people can joke about and post the most op changes they can think of for the Revenant, and then we can laugh about how op all the sh@ite we wrote actualy is.

To start things off I am going to make the most op changes I can to Revenant’s weapons without changing the damage values on them or adding more boons on condis (I like to challenge myself)…here goes.

Sword Main Hand & off hand
*Grasping Shadow attack range set to 260
*move Unrelenting Assault to Sword off hand
*move Duelist Preparation to sword main hand

Remove Mace Main Hand and Axe off Hand. Replace them with Axe Main Hand and Mace off hand

*Axe main hand will feature: the aa from mace, Frigid blitz and Temporal rift
*Mace off hand will feature Coalesence of Ruin and Echoing Eruption

Hammer*
*Coalesence of Ruin is replaced by Searing Fissure

Staff
Punishing Sweep is part of AA
*Rejuvenating Assault is something you *CAN
cast after hitting an opponet with Debilitating Slam (who the kitten would, though)

Sadly I can’t do shield as part of this challenge I set up for myself. Also you don’t have to respect the challenge I gave to myself – go on and write op sh@ite.

I only playtested the build in sPvP as I have not unlocked Herald spec for PvE and WvW but based on my initial playtests Condi Revenant can be a good bunker spec provided you spam banish enchantment. The only way that I know of to get around condi rev’s weakness for roaming is to have an elementalist partener to provide you with his ice bow.

Whilist leveling my elementalist (I was f2p at the time and decided to delete him after 30 lvls to try out engi) I found myself using air staff quite a lot for group fights. If I were to start making a new ele now what I would do is focus on leveling the conjurable weapons as soon as possible.

For Scepter/x style I would recomend keeping the thunder hammer as your melee or fire axe as your ranged if using dager/x. This is just my perspective but I consider ele scepter to be fine as it is,its only weakness is that you need a party to make it shine (a caster to give you combo fields to blast,a melee fighter to tank the damage for you while you protect him by spaming blind on the mob that is hitting him).

Also for solo leveling…if you still plan on using scepter, I recomend you keep the fire greatsword on your tab as well as I feel that companion AI is to dumb to make use of the cc you apply on to the enemies it is fighting.

It’s all just speculations and empty discussions till Anet hears us. I honestly would be happy with any weapon, even if it’s a copy paste of other class weapon skills with added energy cost or another useless useless mainhand/offhand as long as it gives us some choice. At the moment the class is so boring builds/variety wise (in any mode), many who chose to play a bit eventually come back to their mains.

Blocking the condi ranged weapon with elite spec would be bull and hard to justify considering all other classes have access to this degree of variety….unless they make hammer like grenades or warrior longbow (good at both pure dps and condi dps).

Oh, great, so an even more useless weapon not even used for large scale WvW because hybrid weapons are trash only used for duels or gimick spvp builds.

Oh man, then I must be using must be using them wrong because warrior Lb, and thief Sb,IMO, are some of the better designed ranged weapons in the game. Yes there are some bad hybrid weapons, but is that better than having no option at all and being stuck with one range weapon?

So what hero would that bennefit?
Shiro? makes no sense
Jalis? would be amusing but probably not
Glint? probable but that’s what shield is tied too directly….
Ventari? nah he’s a healer
Mallyx? Maybe

I can see Revenant getting it as an Elite Specialization weapon, for what legend that would be… i have no clue o.O ….. maybe Jora? (Inb4 the WoW kids cry about a GW1 hero)

Does it need to be tied to a legend though? If they did add this new weapon to the core Rev my vote would be to tie to the Rev’s Invocation(if that makes sense), or not tie it to a legend at all. It does make sense that it would be tied an Elite Spec, but I think that is a bunch of kitten to hide something that all classes already have behind another Xpac. (Assuming that is when we will get the new elite specs)

Thief shortbow is not a remotely hybrid weapon, its coefficients are largely skewed to power and no condi thief build runs it. The poison is there for the downed, and you rarely use clusterbomb anyways except for aoe, and the brunt of the damage is power damage with marginal bleeds.

Warrior longbow is only used in spvp, virtually in every other game format warrior runs GS and x/shield.

Warrior longbow also has huge power coefficients on arcing shot and its burst skill, and the only reason it doesn’t suck as a hybrid weapon is because burning as a condition has high baseline damage, unlike bleeds or poison or even worse, torment/confusion.

Quite frankly warrior longbow works for warriors due to pinning shot synergizing with their burst skills and the huge damage of arcing shot, not because it is a hybrid weapon.

I’m pretty sure most warriors would be pretty happy if longbow would be a complete power weapon like greatsword, it would do even more damage.

Hybrid weapons suck in GW2, because GW2 does not do scaling well for hybrid stats. Hybrid stats means less stats, which is less scaling. So effectively less damage.

While the above covers longbow, one thing I would like is that grenades from engi is another example of a hibrid weapon (kit) done right which sees action frequently in both power builds and condi builds. Also I would like to remind the above that warrior shoutbow is also a thing for WvW (not so much in sPvP with the removal of settlers).

Tempest earth overload, Dragon Hunter with Virtues traitline for stun break on F3 should cover you for group play. I disagree with what you say about Sw#5. Yes, it does interrupt, but it also helps you to setup a combo. If I’m running with a group or just a couple people, I use it to pull a target that’s trying to flee back to my friends. Other more useful times, setting up a UA attack. I sometimes use the combo of Sw#5, Sw#2, Sw#3, and it’s pretty effective. I’ll also use Sw#5 to combo with my utilities depending on which Legend I have up and if I have the energy.

This is all assuming you can actually connect with it! It seems to have a problem doing that often.

Any timps on how to increase my chances of landing sw #5 in PvP?Besides imobilizing them with sword 4, I mean

For Greatsword I say this….make it a healer weapon and tie it to a burst healing spec! For core revenant I say this – we need a condi ranged weapon before we get more elite specs!

Isn’t Staff supposed to be the healer weapon though?

Who cares, I want a second one….Idealy the GS makes a water combo field so I can blast it with staff.

I’m not, that’s why I am puting that regen aura for the stone higher….so we can cash in value town with the other tier 1 traits in Salvation + the herald traitline.

Nourishing Roots isn’t Master tier worthy though. Both Nourishing roots and tranquil benediction are at best adept (both need buffs).

:))))Yeah but, having Nourishing Roots as master trait improves the synergy between Glint and Ventari. Yeah the trait in itself is weak, but the combos we can make with it more than justify its position there.

Beyond the legendary centaur stance you also have staff 4, shield 4, regenaration, sigils, runes, equilibrium and if you like it staff AA.
Invoking harmony lasts for 10 seconds after a swap and in most cases you’ll have to swap legends often due to energy and other constraints. Because of that Invoking Harmony has a high uptime, unlike Shrouding mists that requires you to stay in a stance and do nothing (this is only possible in low PvE and some WvW).
Also I’m not sure where you got the impression that Invoking Harmony only works in the centaur stance.

It’s because I have been ignoring the weapon skills and have become fixated on the fact that the majority of our heals towards others are tied to legendary centaur stance and outside Centaur stance there is very little we can do in terms of actual healing and that the best way to make use of Invoking Harmony is to have a second legend tied to healing – because as you pointed out,our most reliable heals in the Revenant’s kit are on staff and shield 4.
I also purposely excluded runes and sigil as I believe gear should not be used to make certain builds viable-they should only serve to enhance them.

While I admit that suggestion no 2 is steemed from fear of what Anet would do to change an awesome trait because it does not synergise with all of the stances due to a bug and 3 is personal frustration over the fact that our master traits are very circumstantial, with Invoking Harmony taking the cake due to personal beliefs on how to maximize it, I think we can agree at least that suggestion no 1 makes the most sense.

You could go Condi Revenant with Corruption/Retribution/Invocation or Devastation. It’s probably the only build which you can make work without Herald.

You’re already wearing plate armor lol. You’re neither an assassin or ninja, if you wanna play that archetype, thief and ranger are more in that vein (sniper/rogue).

I disagree with you based on the animation for Unrelenting Assault and the kit of Legendary Assasin Stance.

Revenants aren’t ninjas – they’re just evoking the power and toolkit of one.

That still doesn’t change my oppinion. Will never run Sw/Sh because of it and I will continue to support the ideea of swaping the places between grasping shadow and unrelenting assault on the sword’s kit for those reasons.

1)I feel tranquil benediction and nourishing root swap is noticable during leveling and at late game because you can build a healer that does not use Legendary Centaur Stance for leveling and makes Ventari/Glint builds viable for bunkering and PvE.

Yes healing orbs are circumstantial but it’s better then relying on Ventari Stone heal for leveling up until the 40s. Also the goal is that for late games builds involving the Salvation traitline is to be able to have Blinding Truths or Tranquil Balance and Nourishing Roots active on 1 build, because it increases the synergy between Ventari and Glint.

Glint makes it via the trait shared empowerment so that the stone will dub for 2 facets (light and strenght) while providing acess to a spamable form of cc (blinding foes with Ventari’s will – which is conditioned by sacrificing the healing power from TB) and projectile reflection. Also if we ever get that much deserved buff for the skills on Ventari’s healing skill…. :X:X:X

2) I like Momentary Pacification too but I can see it easily removed in sometime in the future for something that doesn’t bug out other stances….so I decided to try out my luck and find a decent replacement.

3)I can never understand your admiration for Invoking Harmony. Unless you use Equilibrium it’s a half of a trait as we only have 1 stance dedicated to healing others. It’s useless for those situations where you are forced out of Ventari as opposed to Shrouding Mists which is more reliable due to the following reasons:

a)you get it’s benefits regardless of what stance you are using, as opposed to Invoking Harmony where you can’t benefit from it outside of Centaur Stance.

b)as a healer the moment you swap out Centaur Stance you stop doing your job as the group healer so Centaur Stance rewards players who can maintain the Centaur Stance for as long as possible to keep players alive….meaning that Shrouding Mists will eventualy go past the 50 energy limit on several occasions and provide a spamable buff for healing power + increase our defenses for that unavoidable momment when we are forced out of Centaur Stance…keeping us alive jus a little bit longer so we can swap back.

c)bottom line, yeah both are circumstantial, but one gives a long term benefit which can be carried over when we swap out of Legendary Centaur stance, where as Invoking Harmony even when paired with Invocation for Equilibrium provides only a short term increase in healing.

Also it’s a very easy trait to fit in the Salvation trait line…all you have to do is rename it to something like Lifewarden’s Veil or Nature’s Perseverence. If we had 1 stance dedicated for burst healing, then I would be praising Invoking Harmony with you…but we don’t, Ventari is a sustained heal legend so we need traits that help us in the long game.

the main problem is anet introduce new concept of energy management (like thief initiative). so thief skill cost ini – yes thief utility cost ini – no. does thief has way to manage his ini – yes with trait and utilities

Mate what are you smoking? Thief utilities do not cost ini.
Also let’s be honest…as Revenant regardless of spec you will never get passed the 70 energy mark. So can we please have energy generation outside of combat and have energy reset at 50 as it always has when you legend swap?
