Ranger condi cleanse is all tied to one of two Grandmaster traits, both in Wilderness Survival. I chose Survival of the Fittest, but Survival skills are good enough on their own that I don’t feel like I’m being limited by using them. Necro condi application in Power builds is debilitating, usually Chill, Cripple, or Weakness.
As for having more problems with Power builds, it depends on the spec. Hammer warriors tend to be a pain for each, as the Ranger dies too quickly to down them and my Necro spends too much time CC’d. Shatter burst Mesmer is more dangerous to my Ranger than any condition build unless I manage to time GS4 well. Then it’s still dangerous, but I have a shot at winning.
Backstab Thieves, though, tend to end up being funny. Especially on my Ranger. Eating a Maul from stealth usually ends the fight pretty quick.
Alright, so the reason why you’re writing on this topic is to tell us what for a great player you are – good for you
Has got nothing to do with the actual topic though.
I do so all the time. I roam with Zealot’s Necro and ‘zerker Ranger. Condi builds get eaten for breakfast. Why? Because I time my cleanses properly and don’t neglect basic defensive measures just because they aren’t hitting me for big numbers up front.
Everyone in WvW is aiming to kill you. Figuring out how they plan to do that within a couple of seconds is key to success.
So you have more problems with power builds than with condis? Although Necros have got a pretty nice condi cleanse and themselves access to enough condis, no matter whether power or condi build – same with rangers – although I don’t know about their condi cleanse.
I’m playing wvw for now 1,5 years – condi is easier applied than removed – condi removal has got a cooldown as well, you know? And condi builds do physical damage on top of that.
So please, don’t pretend I don’t know how to play – I don’t care the slightest what you’re doing in pve – and to be honest; condis should’ve always had a place in this game right from the start – I just don’t agree with “condis becoming more and more powerful in pvp/wvw whereas condi removal gets nerfed/stays the same”
Edit: And before you claim that the game is just fine the way it is because condi builds would do no damage if condi removal was improved: Go to wvw as a power build and fight some condi builds.
(edited by Jana.6831)
I want to be able to take CiS and Shadow Rejuvenation as well.
And I want my condi remove back – I don’t want to be a sitting duck because I can’t get the immobilze and stuff from me.
Also, the might minor made us nearly as powerful as thieves who didn’t use SA = just like trickery; an offensive and defensive line – and that was good as I still had a chance against “full glass” thieves who can now chose panic strike and executioner, so I don’t think a bit might hurts.
Another thing I really dislike about SA is that I’m forced to use all the saint traits, how about putting all of them into a GM? = Merciful Ambush, Shadow Protector and Resilience of Shadows. That way those who want to be a ninja nurse can still be it.
What I’d love to see is Minor traits: “Immobilize effects are removed upon entering stealth”, “Some stacks of might” (doesn’t really have to be that you gain more the longer you’re in stealth) and CiS as a major.
But since it’s unlikely that this will happen: CiS as a major/master would be enough for the start.
(edited by Jana.6831)
When you stealth, NPC stop moving. The A.I isn’t Top lvl like in HoT. So, either you aren’t fast enough to backstab or… you aren’t fast enough to backstab.
No Valid Path to target, it happens. you need to be familiar with the terrain, the same occurs with Shortbow #5 (or any kind of teleports) and cliffs. You need to know the spots.
Engineer have a trait that reveal you when they hit you even if you are stealthed. Be extra caustious with this kittens. Same for Rangers and Revenants but the one you mentioned is the most outrageous.
Some people claimed being “revealed without being revealed”, and you are not the first and there a plenty who mentioned that, it never happened to me tho :/.
Cap a camp in wvw – do me that favour.
No valid path can happen in wvw at one point which was accessible before the patch in which they introduced the change, but 2 metres left you can still port – so it’s inconsistent and it somehow got worse. And if I’m standing in front of a mob, face to face, I should be able to steal. And if I’m not able to SB 5, then I shouldn’t lose initative and if I’m not able to steal because the game thinks that plain terrain doesn’t allow “steal”, then I shouldn’t have a cooldown on my skill (though I didn’t have a look whether or not there was a cooldown, but I bet it was).
Honey, I’m really no noob, the stuff I listed is not normal or usual or anything – it’s a major annoyance.
(edited by Jana.6831)
Recently all the little annoyances have gotten worse: Npc turn that fast that it’s impossible to backstab, “No valid path to target” pops up a lot more often than ever before, but still stealing my initative and probably setting my steal on cooldown, although just now it was a risen in Orr who was standing right in front of me – nothing between us, but I wasn’t allowed to steal. Also still the “revealed without being revealed” bug in wvw and I think engis reveal without revealing – which isn’t neccessarily a bad thing, I’m just usually so confused why I’m suddenly “revealed” that I fail to react – would be nice if that skill had some kind of notification.
In the end it’s not just the wonky traits and stuff which make thief game play really unenjoyable – please find a way to make it easier for us.
I do not pvp or wvw but you did not specify them or pve nor did you mention a specific class. I disagree with any of them being too easy to play and survive everywhere I go but even if they are I do not see a problem with having some classes capable of a more simple play style as not every person who likes to play games can easily handle complicated numbers of buttons in some specific order. Not everyone is 18 to 25 with instant reflexes; a near zero latency & low frame rate, yet some people who are older, slower reflexes, high latency due to distance from server or whatever, would also like to be able to play & actually survive & maybe they have fun with a simpler way of playing.
No matter condi or power only the skilled people will be the winners in a battle (assuming one on one or equal numbers) so since your complaint appears centred on play being too easy, make & run a toon requiring all the complexity you desire but why complain because some types are at least playable to a satisfactory degree for those not as quick thinking or in reflexes as you may be.
The complaint is actually based around pvp and wvw as (nearly) all rules apply to all 3 modes. And no, condi usually takes away the need for skill – as there’s not enough condi removal to avoid it. And each major patch the condi in at least wvw gets stronger, but our defenses get worse.
Btw: I stomp people who could be my children in wvw and pvp as a glassy zerker D/D thief. My computer could be better, though. Not everybody who is over 30 has got slow reflexes.
ETA: Come to think of it; It’s a pity I don’t have children: “Yo bro, don’t want to tidy up your room? 1 vs 1 me!”
(edited by Jana.6831)
But in PVP I can understand the absence. With their new buffs, mesmers out-thief the thief. For awhile the reverse was true, though, so I guess it is their time to shine.
With the difference that mesmers were build around their clones, or so I thought. So now they have invulnerability, their clones and stealth as defenses – doesn’t really make sense to me.
The skill delay on my SBI account makes it unplayable. My AR account has been running nice and smooth. I don’t know if Anet needs to lower the population limit again or what but they need to do something.
We weren’t capped yesterday – I don’t think any of the 3 servers had a queue.
Thank God i didn’t waste my time and cash on Bolt…S/D thief dead in HoT
Warriors and guardians can still use bolt
And mesmers
snip
Taking the single most OP class this game currently has, no matter whether power or condi, might not prove your point – whatever your point was – that you have it hard because you need to faceroll 18 keys.. ok.
If they implemented the 3 trait line after it would have been a cataclysm. That would be too much content to get used to. Can you imagine haha. I would not even be able to explain what happened to us Thieves to a F2P player.
It feels just so rushed and not thought through. And that is typical anet – that’s the main “problem” I have with them, I guess – instead of improving what they have they invent it new. And then leave it like it is instead of improving it.
I don’t think new players are confused by this or even had been if all 3 lines were launched with Hot. All everybody new does is to look builds up (most of them – I didn’t and accidently came up with the meta build for my first character).
And I didn’t get used to the changes, I just got used to being even more glassy – so if you’d give me my game from 3 months back I might be able to win a 1 vs 5 (I did some times but they were potatos).
Edit: And if you’d give me my game from 1,5 years back, I’d be wiping zergs.
Edit²: If I had the slightest interest in any other class I’d be able to show that I’m a good player – but unfortunately for me it’s D/D thief or nothing.
(edited by Jana.6831)
Let me say this: Pre june 23th patch wvw thief was pretty much on par with any class and any build. I really could kill about anyone (as long as I wasn’t lagging which is kind of rare nowadays.)
In pvp I couldn’t because my CnD was lacking some damage. I don’t really play pvp anymore, so I can’t tell what changed with the patch.
I said back then that things were off and they probably were but not as bad as they’re now – I win most fights because my opponent made a mistake. If I make one I’m insta dead.
Edit: Since this sounds as if thief had been as OP as a lot of people liked to claim: I had to be on my toes with all classes/builds – they had an equal chance of beating me, especially since I’m a no utility thief.
(edited by Jana.6831)
Post Oct. 23, they should do another balance patch 1-6 months after.
I do wonder why they implemented the 3 trait lines before Hot launch if they had no intention to balance it beforehand. Maybe they will balance all lines with HoT, maybe they will just throw the elites at us. But for some reason 3 months is really long to leave known problems as they are.
I’m pretty certain that staff/ daredevil will work at least with HoT – easiest way to make stuff work is to make it OP.
Tried condi thief when I started roaming – that was during the latest phase, so post ferocity, pre 3 trait lines. I had absolutely no idea what I was doing and lost 5% of my fights. Thank god conditions became more powerful (although not the ones thief has got access to) – I swapped back to power after 1-2 weeks (and started with losing 50% of my fights).
Yeah well, I can tell which AoE the opponent will be using as I’m downed by it one minute beforehand. That is something.
Sometimes I don’t play in content that require finishers, but I would still like to admire my finisher. Guild Wars 1 had multiple flashy emotes like /rank and /zaishin, so a /finisher emote that works like the /rank emote (once every 30 second execution) would be awesome. Also give us a way to show off our limited time and birthday finishers once in awhile if we’re casual / PvE content oriented players. :P (I know some PvE content have finisher opportunities, but they’re not all over the place.)
How about you type /rank in chat in GW2?
Edit: Ok, I get the problem. It’s about the flashy finisher.
Have got no opinion on that – I’d just love some cool finishers and not all this clutter and cute quaggans (although the finisher is nice, just not my style).
(edited by Jana.6831)
Not sure, this is from tonight:
(Since I don’t build acs in front of towers, I have no idea whether it was cheating or exploiting – but I sure know it would be great if it stopped)
That has been a few months ago.
And a few months ago a friend asked me to whisper someone in wvw who whispered him nicely but forgot to remove him from ignore – so I whispered them and told them they had my friend on ignore, which they then noticed. So it has been like that- I have no idea if it’s still, I’ll have to test it.
ETA: And I finally blocked the ranger back and he was online. Same with a thief a year earlier who did the same kitten with me – blabbering nonstop while not giving me a chance to reply – he was online when I blocked him.
(edited by Jana.6831)
It is exactly the same thing. They can’t whisper you back if you appear offline, the only difference between them and someone harassing someone else while appearing offline is that they may put them back on the block list to prevent them from also sending mail.
I will reiterate – the ONLY WAY to send outgoing pms and not get incoming is by appearing offline. You CANNOT send pms to someone you have blocked.
What?
Ok, I get that you guys tried it recently, I didn’t – maybe anet changed it – I don’t know. Have to try it for myself – I just know that it has been like that in the past.
What you just described isn’t him whispering you while you’re blocked; it’s him either quickly blocking you after whispering you or being Invisible (which means you won’t be able to whisper him). Like a bunch of us already described above.
But as you pointed out, you could send him mail explaining your side (if you cared that much). Or just block him so he actually can’t contact you.
What makes you think that he hadn’t blocked me?
I think he just either forgot to get me off his block list, or blocked me on purpose.
Fair enough. In that case, the issue is identical to someone sending messages while invisible.
My point is that regardless of why the OP feels aggrieved, the game already provides a solution: /block and move on.
So, one time I was fighting a ranger and someone else together with a guard as a thief. The guard gave me Aegis which made me invulnerable – we beat those two guys. In wvw you can get the names of your enemies by blocking them – you can unblock them after getting their name, so you can talk to them. That can be fun actually. Just that this guy had me on his blocklist while whispering me tirades of how I am a cheater and that he reported me and so on. I had no chance to tell him that he should’ve paid attention to my boons. And that is annoying – he will go on and report people cause I can’t tell him that he should learn to play ;)
So, in the end the fair thing to do would be “If you block this person you can’t whisper them anymore since if you decided that he isn’t allowed to talk to you, you shouldn’t be allowed to talk to him either – so think twice before you block”.
Btw: If I am invisible and “accidently” whisper someone, they send me a mail to tell me that I’m invisible ;) So, it’s not really the same thing.
What’s new [Teef]s?
“Let’s take a moment to appreciate this blend’s bold undertones”
I do understand
It’s been nearly 2 years and I still have that in my ears.
On topic:
Bird mail carrier sound.
To your post: Pistol 2 isn’t useless – 5% more damage and daze = perfect to use before you use unload.
On the contrahery Dagger 4 is pretty useless, yes, because it’s wonky to apply and because there’s no more movement restrictions on leaps. So the initial purpose of slowing down a fleeing enemy is obsolete.I think you are quite confused, friend. Pistol #2 applies a short Immobilize, not Daze (that’s Pistol #4). Also, THREE SECONDS of Vulnerability on an attack with long startup and non-existent damage is not what I would call “perfect” for PvP or anything else.
Dagger #4 has issues, but I’d take it over Pistol #2 any day of the week. At least it’s usable.
I already corrected it, my friend.
It is a lot – but whine some more, there’s a chance P/P will get the same buff ranger’s LB got. And yeah, go D/D – always a good thing – I don’t stomp enemy D/D thieves in wvw. Spam that #4!
ETA: I do stomp P/D and S/D though.
ETA²: I was a ranger main at first, the idea was to kitten people off. It took me a long time to understand why ranged weapons usually suck – and after seeing all the new thieves everywhere (PvE or WvW) with their magnificent SB #1 skill I’m innerly screaming “MY GOD, LEARN HOW TO TEEF!!” – I still laugh at P/P thieves though. And I think all ranged weapons should do significantly less damage than melee weapons – I hope it will get back to that.
(edited by Jana.6831)
Earning traits went through a real miserable patch for a while, but is now back to being free.
It wasn’t free before the patch – it cost somewhat around 5 gold? to get all traits. After April ‘14 they were free in theory. I leveled 5 characters after April and bought 2 traits in total. But don’t remind me of that game phase.
I easily pay 30 silver a day on WPs.
I don’t sell stuff on the TP each day, though – so yeah it’s a gold sink and that was why the costs were increased not that long ago – a year?
wait, since when did pistol 2 have daze? Wasn’t it just short immobilize.
Yeah, it’s 1 s immobilize
My point is and was to say that the achievements were impossible to get. Now Anet decides to lower the requirements ( a tad too low perhaps ) and its still not ok. Go get a f2p account, wait for new map and hunt 2.5k dollies there. See how fast you would get it there. There are still numerous of other wvw achievements around that are harder to get then this yakslapper alone, go hunt those instead.
Why exactly would I need a F2P account for that?
I already told that I was at 1,5k dollies after half a year in a zerg – I didn’t roam back then. Half a year of roaming after that brought me to 6k in total and I am at 9,5 k (said 8,5 but that was wrong) right now – after 1,5 years of wvw with a lot of breaks.
I’m at 49k player kills, so I need another 3 years+ to get the Ultimate Dominator, wheras someone who runs with the zerg gets it after lets say 3 years total and yakslapper with that playstyle after about a year, although all they did was running with a zerg – so there’s no title for roamers who dedicate their time in ensuring and capping supply.
Edit: If it really gets harder to kill yaks with the “new” wvw, then I guess roaming is dead and we don’t need a title for that anyway but still; people who did nothing but running with the zerg will get it, unless all our scores are wiped.
Edit²: And actually I don’t get what we’re even arguing about – you yourself said “a bit too low maybe” and no one in this thread said otherwise or went berserk- I don’t really care whether or not yakslapper is lowered to 2,5k, but if everybody can get it without effort I will never use it – and that title has been a running gag on my first server, because back then we were up against Yak’s Bend for months (that’s why I know the numbers). Anet waited too long to lower the requirements and maybe it’s not really “fair” that they’re leaving Ultimate Dominator as it is -in comparison. And again, I’m not complaining.
(edited by Jana.6831)
Also, to the people saying that skill #4 is useless, it’s no more useless than pistol #2 or dagger #4. The main skill of the staff is #5 imo. Everything else #2-4 is mostly utility.
In general: “Oh, there’s a merged Daredevil Thread, I’m gonna make my own”
To your post: Pistol 2 isn’t useless – 5% more damage and daze = perfect to use before you use unload.
On the contrahery Dagger 4 is pretty useless, yes, because it’s wonky to apply and because there’s no more movement restrictions on leaps. So the initial purpose of slowing down a fleeing enemy is obsolete.
If you just see this from a PvE point of view, then yes, you don’t really need either skill, although 5% more damage still is something.
Add something that shows damage dealt to bosses for example :
1) hotdog – 10 damage
2) ketchup – 9.7 damage
3) mustard – 6
4) egg – 5.5
5) bread – 5.5It’ll be pretty fun and useful
I went all onion in CoF1 yesterday and soloed two phases of the Acolytes.
ETA – on my full zerker thief with runes of the Pack, eventually he or one of my other thieves will get scholar =) “My whole party wiped and I was the only one alive and I laughed at them and called them soldier’s elitists, while I was still alive in my zerker’s” (joke – party wipes happen)
You guys are missing a crucial point here. 2500 is within grasp of anyone getting — but you’re not going to get it overnight. It’s not an insta-title. It will take time, especially if you’re starting from zero with a new account/new to game.
I would never have set foot in pvp zones prior to GW2. I got sucked in trying to get my map completion. And now I’m hopelessly addicted. The reason? I had to spend a significant amount of time in map to get what I wanted, and by being there I became curious about the mechanics and the team atmosphere.
Slapping 2500 yaks ensures that those new players will be in map a lot longer than a day or so. And it may just be enough time to make them realize that WvW is actually a lot of fun.
So? we’re still here – and I still have to kill 200K more players to get ultimate dominator.
Btw: I had ~1,5 yaks after half a year running in a zerg – give new players AP for each K of yaks they slayed, a title if they dedicate themselves to roaming.
First people complain ( including me ) about the impossible to get acheivements. Now anet decides to lower them to more reasonable, maybe a bit too easy idk, and people going berserk about it being too easy.
Never good huh.
That wasn’t the point – the point is that we want something achievable that we still can be proud of – I’m still proud of “The Blazing Light” – because (for most) it took a real effort to get it.
Do you guys think they will be changing the Edge of the Mist achievements too?
Are they hard to get?
Nice, finally.
I think 2500 for yak slapper is a good number, after 2,5 years I’m around 1700 on both achievements escort and killing yaks. I play more in zergs and blobs.
I’m a roamer and at 8,5k – and at 50k kills – so by not making these titles super low, they still hold some meaning – I spent my time escorting and killing yaks, you spent your time in a zerg – I don’t think you deserve yakslapper while ultimate dominator is that far away from me.
No offense, I hope you get what I mean.
and can get all those players back + newcomers with a good expansion.
Not me muahahahahaha
Edit: But honestly; It was a problem to me, that “wow was dying” back then, but on the plus side I got used to doing everything alone, which I then did on my medium populated server in GW2 (before mega servers) – I often really was the only one on a map- and didn’t mind, except when I wasn’t able to solo something like temples in Orr (some champs are pretty hard but basically everything in PvE was and is soloable) – but you could usually ask in LA and someone helped.
I don’t think that in times of megaservers anyone really notices a difference in player population. I know we have a massive influx right now, but how many? don’t ask me – I don’t even know how many megaservers there are.
And what is and what isn’t populated is in the eye of the beholder, kind of. I’m absolutely fine with my “high” populated server in wvw, others cry that they’ve been tricked into joining an empty server. So whatever – if people are really that concerned by population numbers they aren’t really interested in the game, I guess – and that’s ok.
(edited by Jana.6831)
I’m undecided to be honest:
I think I want the titles to be hard to obtain but the AP to be easier.
But most of the titles are unachievable, I think 10 or 15 k yaks would be something I’d like. No idea about the other titles – but they should still mean something.
it’s not like it requires any effort to even flip a camp if you’re zerker with blinds anyway
The npcs out-blind you nonetheless – go condi.
You didn’t say whatfor or what weapons you favour – but you can’t go wrong with DA, CS and Trickery. Although you might want to step away from DA for fractal level 34 or 35.
DA: Mug or Dagger Training, Panic Strike or Revealed Training. Executioner
CS: Flawless Strikes (Side Strikes works for D/D), Practiced Tolerance or Sundering Strikes if you’re mostly group playing, Hidden Killer for dagger mainhand, No Quarter for sword mainhand.
T: I like Haste but the ICD is too long to really make it work; got for Thrill of the crime instead, Trickster if you use some skills marked as tricks, otherwise Bountiful Theft and Sleight of Hand (depends on the situation, probably)
snip
Oh, zero, I’m so sorry, I really am!
The change from trait-lines to spec-lines, I have a feeling, was their way of looking at all the classes and what’s broken or not…
Doesn’t really feel like it, to be honest – if I have gotten you right. I like Trickery, CS and maybe DA although I don’t agree with Bundles having been nerfed just because they got a hypothetical buff in that line and I also don’t agree with the way poison works and also that SB gets nerf after nerf – which correlates.
Either way, they’ve said that there’s 1 big balance patch before release of HoT, and I wager/hope one soon after.
I’m sure a lot of people across all classes would be happy if they said “These coming months we will be only looking at base profs and what’s wrong/broken in them”.
O well…
I have no hope, to be honest – they asked us before what we think of the upcoming changes – everything we said would nerf us was kept and everything we said would buff us was nerfed – I still can’t wrap my head around the SA changes which were likely made because a lot of people called it “training wheel”, yet now every D/P thief, who doesn’t really need it, takes it because it has been buffed for D/P and D/P alone. It still holds a lot of useless traits – but we I said it before.
I bet SA will stay just the same but thief will now have 3 viable weaponsets: D/P, S/D and staff – horray!
If anet really acknowledges D/D to be in game, which they haven’t since I play thief, then I will take this back.
Edit: Poor grammar
(edited by Jana.6831)
The suggestion was to make D/D a pure condition build and I don’t agree with that. Whatever “using 2 daggers and still backstabbing because of 2 daggers” means.
..Thieves have no other melee condition options.
Dagger mainhand = poison
this is what worries me. Daredevil is pretty good, and probably only needs a few tweaks here and there. but the thief base class is in much poorer condition, requires more work, and doesn’t appear to be getting any attention.
I mean skritt, they don’t have to give us a roadmap of all the fixes they have planned for the next 5 years, but just acknowledging that certain issues have been raised would be nice.
As far as I know there has been exactly one buff since December ‘13 (when I started playing thief) that was the increase of dagger mainhand to 2 targets.
I agree though, I’d like that too, I just don’t think it will happen.
You can look every item up on the wiki and it says how to obtain it.
Congrats on the drop but this isn’t scientific breaking news
Just wanted to say that F2P players are really funny – it’s like watching bots – they try to destroy everything with their skill 1 while not saying anything at all. I rezzed one of them 4 times during 100 game metres – but I really had no time, needed to finish my dailies, so the 5th time he sadly died.
I remember having been similar when I started out but back then it was just me and my guild, now it’s hordes behaving like that – and yeah this is with a laughing and crying eye.
Which ones would you replace?
Dagger training, Quick Pockets, Shadow protector and so on – I think the whole acro line will be useless once HoT comes out and there’s a lot of traits in every line which no one would ever take, but basically they’re a good idea, they just need a tiny buff.
In my opinion it should. The nerfs to the damage of our weapons are uncalled for because currently we are facing the risk with no reward.
You called for a nerf of S/D and D/P – now I’m confused.
Edit: And I didn’t read through all your S/D stuff earlier (yeah sometimes I’m really lazy) – I have once been trashed by a S/D thief, but I blame lags for that actually. But he was good, there’s no denying it – if you’re able to lock down your target you can easily trash it with S/D – the problem is the lock down.
I just tried S/D (in PvE on a map I’m on every day) and it doesn’t do more damage than BS – if it were that case I would meet more S/D thieves in wvw – in fact I met one the past week and I killed him with Death Blossom (which I used once, followed by CnD and BS). If I meet thieves it’s backstab D/P thieves. Every other is really really really really really rare.
(edited by Jana.6831)
D/D power vs D/D condition has been the dilemma ever since the beginning. It used to be that D/D power is the best choice but now, D/D condition is more favorable – which is rather odd since 4/5 of the skills are power based.
In my opinion, D/D should be about condition damage (and P/P about power) with its own unique Stealth Attack — probably called Falling Spider (applies poison and bleeding). But you can’t do this unless you separate the D/D weapon set with other weapon sets.
Pretty sure that power D/D still has got more “power” than condi D/D. You can use it as a second set, first would be P/D – but dagger mainhand without backstab is nothing in my opinion. And backstab is nothing with a condi build.
That would be appropriate for a Dual-Wield Training, where it used to buff only the #3 skills. However, it will pigeon hole all D/D and P/P builds to take that trait, then where would you put it? In DA? In Trickery? or more appropriately, in Acro?
In my opinion, it shouldn’t be in a trait.
…if CnD were changed to blind then CiS would be “free”, although then I probably really wouldn’t bother to take that line as it tries to make me into a saint “you rez faster, you heal your allies” wheras I have once been a proud “warrior”.
In my opinion, all stealth skills should cause blindness. We’re Thieves, not Mesmer, thus we use items like smoke to conceal ourselves.
You can have several traits for dual wield – when looking at the traits we have, a lot of them are rather useless for D/D – they can be replaced.
If all stealth skills used blindness then probably the weaponsets which are already very good would be buffed some more.
Only 2? You missed Gail’s post? Which means she also reads this forum.
Pretty sure she was called ;)
