Toss out ranger disadvantage “not very mobile”. They are one of the most mobile classes in the game. Otherwise, you nailed our limited group utility on the head.
Also add “aoe buffs from pet” and “lots of built-in evades” to the pros.

Guild Wars 2 is NOT a team based game. Just because you have the option to play in a team does not make it team based. When I roll a phantasm mesmer in hotjoin, I couldn’t care less about the team and I usually end up getting the highest rank points of everyone in the arena.
What was that about “team based” game again?

Since the entire goal of PvP is get rank points, I think it’s pretty obvious that those who get the most are the best.

“Rank Points” are meaningless… if you lose game matches, your footing on the leaderboards attenuates.
Losing/winning matches is a reflection of your team not personal skill. I think it’s pretty absurd that leaderboards are individual based for matches that are not really individual skill related.
Rank points are the only measurable form of progress in the game along with better gear etc. Ergo, the person with max rank points is by definition the best PvP player.
You are the bad player who stays on points to cap them with 2 other people just to accumulate points.

I think its reasonable to assume the devs are looking into both BM rangers and phantasm mesmers
How many Phantasm Mesmers are in the current meta? Oh that’s right… zero… I wonder why?
If you make projectiles in this game fast enough to where they have to actually be dodged in order to dodge, then there is no problem. If you are going to leave them so slow that simply jiggling the left and right buttons will allow a target to never be hit, then you need to make the projectiles track. Otherwise, your entire projectile mechanics system is simply broken.
John, I agree with the above poster. Strafing from left to right shouldn’t completely negate damage like the video below.
Warriors are the “Golden Child” class. Both devs in charge of balance main on a Warrior.
Even if you have stat boosts from trait lines, your stats would be significantly better if you have the stat boosts PLUS combat-centric gear.
The only thing someone accomplishes from wearing magic find gear in a party is perpetuating selfishness.
Also, very good Thieves… and I’m not talking about your average run of the mill Thieves, I’m talking about top players… someone who knows the Thief inside out, will eat up a Phantasm Mesmer for dinner, no matter how good the Phantasm Mesmer is.

Power Necro’s, Bunker BM Ranger and a well played Engineer are counters to Phantasm Mesmers.
A toggle is needed, like yesterday. This will singlehandedly break PvP for me.

Is it possible for the devs to remove this “feature”? Also, I find that I randomly get put in combat for no particular reason. No enemies around, no fall damage… nothing. This may be a bug. But it is annoying, since it slows down run speed.

That being said, I usually get home from work at around 6:00 PM my time. I get something to eat and get settled in and ready to game around 7:00 PM till whenever. I play on a NA server.

My friends and I are looking for an active spvp guild. Can’t seem to find any. I use TS3.
Is there any chance we can get a confirmation that the Guardian scepter is broken? ETA on a fix? Or we just moving past this issue? Video shows the crazy level of ineffectiveness.
They will have to acknowledge it first.
I think the cooldown on the shield is way too long.
I’ve also noticed that the shield doesn’t last for 4 seconds like the tooltip says.

The projectiles are broken. All you have to do is strafe from side to side and it wont ever hit you… or simply just keep running around in circles… Why wont they fix this?

So I’m a Mesmer… and my clones don’t show off-hand weapons. The underwater trident, the clones have no weapons at all. I’ve also noticed that my clones don’t have any of my signets or buffs, and my downed ability illusion doesn’t have the big red arrow pointing down on it’s head like it does with me (making the ability useless).
At first I was concerned, but my friend told me I needed to activate the weapons and images for my clones in the game by using the Alt F4 Image Activation ability.
Whenever I try and activate my clones however, my game crashes and closes every single time. Am I the only one having this issue?
