Thanks for the report! In the future, the best thing you can do when you crash is fill out the crash report dialogue box that comes up with details on what you did prior to it happening. These reports go to our programmers for review with other information they need to fix the issue and are the best way to ensure we can fix these issues.
This thread will now be closed.

Yeeaaaaaah. That’s a bug.
Thanks for the report; we’ll have a fix for it soon.

It looks like we had a bad hamster wheel faulty server, so if you were disconnected, that’s expected, as we had to reset things to get these issues resolved.
If you’re still experiencing bad lag, please let us know which map and server you’re in. Thanks!

Thank you for your understanding and patience, everyone! We have a build coming up soon with a potential fix for this issue. Stay tuned!

Thanks for the detailed reports! The screenshots and names of equipment you’re wearing really help us track these bugs down. The good news is that I believe a large number of these bugs have already been reported here and documented for investigation. While we’ll look through these bugs as well to confirm this, please list all other art/armor issues in the linked thread. I’ll be closing this thread to keep these issues consolidated.

Thanks for the feedback! Clones not having the explorer stars is definitely a bug, and we’ve noted it in our database. As the rest of these ideas are more along of suggestions and feedback, however, I’ll be moving it to the Mesmer profession forum.

Are you filling out the report box that comes up when this happens? Those reports go straight to the appropriate teams to review, so sending them with detailed repro steps is the best way to report crashes. Thanks for letting us know!

Ori nodes not showing up as minable - Friend showed me spawns I see a ruined base like I mined it but I haven't, can mine 2 out of 5
Posted by: Jason King.2647
Hi everyone,
My apologies for the belated response! There’s been a lot of confusion surrounding these changes, so while dev posts have been made in other threads, I’ll try to answer questions here as well.
We made some changes to the respawn timers on the resource nodes so that they only respawn once per day. This happens based on our server time at 00:00 UTC, which is 5:00pm PDT and 4:00pm PST, not based on when you last harvested them, which may be why some of you think you are seeing varying respawn rates.
In that sense, the patch notes may seem confusing as they state:
- Ancient wood, Orichalcum Ore, and Mithril Ore nodes respawn rate is now tied directly to characters
What this means is that mining the same node is characater based, not account based, so you could mine the same resource node with multiple characters on the same account.
These changes were made for the same reasons that we made changes to butter; and as Jon Peters has previously mentioned, we’ve gotten to a point where we’re aware that this update was too harsh and we will try to increase the supply of these resources again soon.
If you’re seeing different behavior from what I’ve outlined here, then please let us know so that we can investigate further. Thank you!

Hey everyone,
To help us fix this issue, we’d appreciate it if you could provide some additional information:
1. Are there any specific steps you can take to reproduce the issue? While we’re aware of the general circumstances that surround this issue, if you can take specific steps that cause this to occur, we’d love to know how!
2. Your DxDiag file. You can attach this by posting via the “More Posting and Formatting Options…” button.
Thanks for the help!

As Jon Peters has already made a post on FOV and our reasoning behind not changing it, I’ll be closing this thread. In the future, please do not post suggestions or discussion on topics that are not bugs in the Game Bugs forum. If you have any further comments on the FOV issue, feel free to post in the linked thread.

Hey everyone,
I wanted to update you with where we’re at on this issue. While we don’t have a way to return influence you would have received or give you a replacement influence-giving item yet, we’re still actively working on a solution. Until we have more information, you probably won’t see an update on any related support tickets, but I assure you that this issue is still one that we’re aware of and want to fix.
In the meantime, please make sure to only use influence-giving items on your server’s main shard, as influence granted from these items on overflow shards is not applied.
Thank you for your patience as we continue to improve the game and iron out our post-launch bugs!

Hi everyone,
Thank you for your feedback about the diminishing returns system. As a reminder, we’re all about iteration and sincerely value your thoughts and opinions; we’ll provide more information on this issue soon. In the meantime, please direct your discussion to this thread so that we can keep this topic focused in one place. Thanks again!

I’m sorry to hear you’re still blocked! Have you seen this thread? One of our story designers has been working to fix this quest, so if there’s any additional information you can provide, I’d recommend posting there as well. Thanks!

[BUG] Box of Berserker's Draconic Armor = Berserker's Gladiator Armor = Sad Charr
Posted by: Jason King.2647
Hey everyone,
It sounds like there may have been a breakdown in communications on this matter, judging by some of the responses you’ve received. We had a meeting about this issue this afternoon to help ensure that everyone is on the same page, and contacting Customer Support is still what we’d prefer if you’ve been affected by this bug.
As we’re currently exploring different solutions, you may get a response similar to the one Bellbane received:
We are in the process of investigating this issue for you and you should receive an update as soon as we have more information to provide. We may need more time if you contacted us on a weekend or holiday, but someone will respond to this support ticket as soon as possible.
Regards,
[GM] Balmungskies
The Guild Wars Support Team
Once we are able to implement a solution, we’ll provide more information at that time.
To help CS identify your ticket, if you haven’t submitted one already, the best thing is to make sure that your ticket has a clear subject. For example, you may want to mention the affected Draconic armor.
Thank you for your patience in this matter! We’re getting close to a solution for this, so please bear with us as we go through our initial growing pains.
— Live Response Embed —
Thanks for the additional details! We’ve documented this issue and will be working on a fix for it.
— Live Response Embed —
Thanks for the report (and the video)! I’ve forwarded this on to our PvP team, and they’ll be looking at it.
— Live Response Embed —
If the bug you found is an exploit, please email exploits(at)arena.net. Otherwise, any further details you feel comfortable providing regarding the nature of the bug would be appreciated so we can further evaluate its severity. Thanks!
— Live Response Embed —
Thanks for the reports! We’re working on a fix for this issue.
For those who are curious about the cause, it appears that the bug is with the glow only being triggered if you’re in a map when it transitions from day to night, and won’t work if you go to a map where it’s already night.

[BUG] Box of Berserker's Draconic Armor = Berserker's Gladiator Armor = Sad Charr
Posted by: Jason King.2647
Hey everyone,
Thank you for your patience and understanding in this matter. We understand your frustration over not getting the item you expected, and as such we’ll be teaming up with Customer Support to help rectify this issue for those of you who purchased one of the affected armor sets while they were bugged.
If you bought one of these and did not get the correct armor set, please open a ticket with Support (even if you did so previously). Thanks again!
— Live Response Embed —
Thank you for bringing this to our attention, everyone! While I don’t doubt that this was a typo, it’s certainly a serious one that we’ll be working to correct ASAP. In the meantime, I’m closing this thread. Thanks again!
— Live Response Embed —
Thanks for the reports, everyone! We have a fix going in for this with today’s patch. If you’re still encountering this afterwards, please let us know.
— Live Response Embed —
Hi all,
Jon Peters posted in this thread with an update on this. If you’ve been affected by this issue, or have other feedback about the system, please post there. In the meantime, I’m going to close this thread. Thanks!
I just wanted to update everyone on where we stand with this. So far we have found a single bug with the system that is causing certain players to get stuck in a state of reduced rewards without actually exploiting. A fix for this has already been made and is being tested locally now. We are going to do more significant testing on this new version but we also believe it is more bulletproof to begin with. Please keep posting data as these cases are somewhat rare and are hard for us to find with internal testing but seem to be exposed quickly when thousands of people are playing the dungeons.
All rewards are susceptible to our code that is dealing with people who are speed clearing dungeons. This means that if you are speed clearing and then play some new chain for the first time it may not reward the full 60 tokens. If you find yourself getting less rewards consider whether or not your rate of dungeon completion is extremely high.
If you think you are running at a fairly reasonable pace post all of the chains you have run and the time of day they were completed and we will file it to try and figure out if it is a bug. Please post accurate times, otherwise we cannot determine if there are in fact bugs in the system. Please continue to use this thread as a place to post this data so that we have it all in one location.
Thanks,
Jon

PSA Do not join other player's story mission when choosing which order to join

Did this happen to you yesterday or at a previous point? This issue shouldn’t still be occurring, so please let us know when you experienced it. Additionally, we’re tracking players who have been affected this issue, so please post in this thread if you haven’t already. Thanks!
— Live Response Embed —
Is there any additional information you can provide on what you were doing prior to this occurring? Any information you can provide on skills you were using, buffs you received, or other specific actions you may have taken may help us track down what caused this.
Thanks for the report!

Thanks for the reports! First, I want to clarify that the sigil does work: it does add the extra crit chance percentage. The bug lies in the fact that the UI does not chance to reflect this. that being said, we’re aware of this issue and it’s on our list of bugs to fix.

It looks like Aurora Glade is one of the only servers seeing this issue, as I saw it working fine on Yak’s and Stormbluff. I haven’t confirmed Sea of Sorrows yet, so if anyone else is seeing this issue please post which server you’re on. In the meantime, I’ve also sent this issue back to be re-investigated. Thanks for the reports!
— Live Response Embed —
I’ll try and explain a little more about this issue from what I understand.
…a response said it would be handled on a “case-by-case basis,” but I have experienced this so many times in so many areas, that I believe it to be more of a global issue with these skills.
This is kind of a global issue, and yet it’s not at the same time. The places that you’re falling through the world are places that are lacking “collision”; and while we’d love it if there was just one thing we could add collision to and fix this, we have to find the specific part of the world that’s lacking this and add it in. This is why we need the specific location where you fall through. Phase Retreat causes this to pop-up more often because of how it moves you as part of the skill. I hope this helps explain what’s going on behind the scenes here.
As for how to report these, screenshots and videos are great for helping us identify where the problem is, so please add those to your reports whenever you can. Thanks, everyone!

We definitely want to make sure that you’re getting rewarded for your story steps! Unfortunately, we can’t reproduce this issue on our end which makes it difficult to fix. If you can let us know whether you did this story step solo or as a group, what race you were, etc. — or if you did anything different that you think may have caused the issue — please let us know as it may help us get closer to finding the root cause. Thank you!

every time i try to start a norn character after the last patch, my game crashes, i send in the report to ArenaNet, which im not sure if it does anything tbh.
By taking the time to send in the crash report, you’ve done the best thing you can (so don’t think otherwise!). The programming team is constantly monitoring the crash reports that come in, so be sure to fill those out with as many specific details as possible, especially if you’re consistently hitting a crash. Thanks for the report!

Meta Event Name: The Battle for Beetletun
Name of stuck Dynamic Event: Retake the farm and bring sprinkler pieces to Clarence (11)
Objective text: centaurs remaining: 0
Date when you encountered the block: Sep 15, 16::05 UTC
Server: RiversideNotes:
- The event monitor is correct: The are no centaurs in sight.
- You can pick up the sprinkler parts and you can offer them to Farmer Clarence. He thanks you, but he won’t take any sprinkler part from your inventory.
- I encountered this block a week ago and thought is had been fixed already. Doesn’t seem so.~MRA
Thanks for the detailed report! This is something we’re looking into, but identifying the root cause of the issue has been difficult, so it’s taking some time to fix. Thank you for your patience as we continue to work on this.

My other half couldn’t get this to progress tonight either. He’s playing a Norn Warrior with weapon and armor smithing. I don’t recall the rest of his personal story choices at character creation, but we both had the blacked-out-drinking choice so our personal story has been progressing together. I’d actually just completed the last few stages in his instances.
He was owner of the instance again. We got the first cut scene and completed the first objective “Meet with Ballista and her warband outsinde Grendich Ruins” but the next objective never triggered or showed up on the tracker and all of the Charr just stood around. We wandered down into the tunnel and all around and tried talking to all the NPCs. We eventually exited by running out to the edge of the instance. We re-entered, again with him as instance owner. We skipped over the cut scene this time, but the same thing happened where the next objective never triggered and the Charr just stood around.
I did a search and found that this thread about someone, specifically a warrior, having the same issue. So we exited again and I entered first. We watched the cut scene and very soon after the event progressed (the charges went off) and the rest of the story proceeded just fine to the end. So my character could progress it. My character is a Norn (obviously?) Engineer, leatherworker and huntsman crafting professions. He’s also all nobility/dignity for personality (the warrior is mostly ferocity) if that might be worth knowing. His character level was 28 I think, and mine was 35 or 36 at the time, if I recall correctly. The only other notable differences might be that I had an elite skill equipped and he’s not high enough level for one yet.
Thank you for the details! We’ll take another look at this and see if we can identify what’s breaking.

This issue is still a priority and we have a potential fix that we’re working on. Thank you for your continued patience; we’ll update again as we make more progress.
