Definitely sounding like it’s not lag and more like it only happens when the player character is female. We’ll keep investigating this; thanks for the help!
Thanks for the report! We track this issue on a case-by-case basis, as it generally has to do with the map. Does it happen every where you use the skill or are there specific locations where you’re seeing it happen? Screenshot are one of the best ways to get the location information we need to track these down.

Thanks for the information, everyone! We’re continuing to investigate this issue, but haven’t been able to consistently reproduce it on the noted story steps. One of our first suspicions is that it could be related to lag causing the audio not to play.

Does this happen when you remove a specific dye, remove all dyes, or remove dye from a specific armor piece? If you can provide more details or specific steps to reproduce the issue, it would be helpful. Thanks!

I just wanted to assure you that we are still tracking and investigating this issue. Thank you for your continued patience as we work on this. Also, I spoke with one of the level designers about this and wanted to clear up some potential confusion over the World Completion achievement track:
The World Complete achievement track includes all of the Explorable Maps, the 6 cities in Tyria, the Chantry of Secrets, and the 4 WvW maps. It does not include any dungeons, story or PVP maps.
Is there a specific quest where the NPCs are getting overwhelmed? Changing NPC behavior is something that we do on a case-by-case basis, so if you can provide specific examples, we can better evaluate what we can do to improve their behavior. Thanks!

We’ve received numerous reports regarding blocked/stuck events in the “Straits of Devastation” map, and we’d appreciate any additional information you can provide regarding them so that we can investigate further and get some fixes in, if necessary. If you’ve seen a blocked event in the Straits of Devastation, please provide the following information:
Objective text for the stuck event: i.e. is it an escort? x/y enemies wave that doesn’t spawn creatures?
Date when you encountered the block: We want to verify that these issues are still current and occurring. If you have a chance to jump to the Straits of Devastation to confirm it’s still blocked, that’s even better!

Did you select the “Activate the switch” option in the conversation? Closing the conversation window or walking away without selecting that error won’t progress the story. Hope this helps!
Thanks for the feedback! While there hasn’t been an “official” post on this subject until now, I want to assure you all that we are taking your thoughts and concerns into consideration. As one of the previous poster’s noted, we are currently spreading our resources among a large number of issues (account security, game security, etc.) and working towards a point where we can improve the camera functionality.
In the meantime, if you have suggestions or comments on ways we can improve the camera, please keep your feedback concise, constructive, and consolidated to this thread. While we may not reply to every comment, we’re constantly going through the forums and reading your suggestions.

[EDIT] After some investigation, we’ve determined the effect is coming from your elite “Signet of Rage.” Unfortunately, I don’t think it’s possible to turn off the effect, as it’s designed that way, but you know why it comes up now! ^^;
Did moving near the statue fix the problem? We haven’t seen this issue when we test it on our end, so additional information on what you’re doing prior to it stalling would be appreciated. Also, please let us know if there’s something unclear about this story that makes it confusing; we want it to be as seamless and intuitive as possible. Thanks!

There is currently an issue where completing certain story steps as part of a group can change the path of your character’s story if you are not the story owner.
While we’re still working on identifying the underlying issue , we do know that the bug is triggered by players completing story missions as a group that include making a big decision or completing story missions as part of a group that check for the decisions you’ve made.
We will continue investigating this bug, but in the meantime, if you want to play it safe and lower the chances of running into this while doing group story, here are the quests you should complete solo (these are the story steps we’re aware of; there may be others).

Unfortunately, if you’ve already run into one of these issues, we cannot reset your progress or change your existing story path.
The problem is that there is literally no difference between a character who intentionally picked the Vigil and one who got sent there by the bug, so there’s simply no way to automatically fix affected characters. Our CS team does not have the ability to change your current quest or order, either, so it’s not something that we can manually fix on a case by case basis, either.
We will continue to monitor and update this thread as information comes in and changes are made.
Past/resolved issues:
Initial bug: Players skipped 18 levels of personal story content after completing “Kellach’s Attack” in a group.
Resolution: Affected players were reset back to the personal story step they were on before the skipped content.
Initial bug: Players who completed the story step where an order is chosen as part of a group ended up as part of the Vigil by default.
Resolution: This cause behind this issue was fixed in the 10/22 patch; it should not reoccur. Unfortunately, we have no way to retroactively fix this for players who have already been affected.

Well when I got to enter the instance it disconnects me and then I can’t log into my account for a few minutes to a few hours. Then when I am finally able to get in, I can’t log into my Norn without my game crashing again.
Thanks for the report! When you initially enter the instance, you mention you get disconnected; what’s the code you receive when you DC? Also, you mentioned that when you get back in your game crashes. Does it actually crash (the crash box comes up) or do you DC again? In either case, it would help us to narrow down the problem if you could provide the code/crash report you receive.
During my human priory quest where i save potential recruits from the krait underwater (with the boss with two sharks) i get disconnected and have to repeat the quest all the time.

Describe the issue you’re encountering in detail: Providing information like the map you’re in, your character level, race, profession, and whether you’re in a group can significantly help us narrow down what’s causing the bug you’ve found. If you can reliably cause the bug you’re seeing to occur, let us know exactly how you did it!
Use spoiler tags where appropriate: when reporting story or dungeon bugs, please use the spoiler tags where appropriate. By enclosing the text that could ruin someone else’s experience with [spoiler][/spoiler] tags, it will black it out and prevent them from seeing it unless they roll their cursor over it.

Sorry for the confusion; I’ll see if I can clarify a little more!
Redoing this particular quest, either on your own or with a friend, should let you progress past it. However, due to the bug fix I mentioned, you may see inconsistencies in your character’s story — such as the journal not displaying the correct information. I’ve made a post with more information from the designers that should clarify some of the other details.
You could try doing it with someone else who is at the same story point as you. It should update for both of you, so long as they are the one who clicks on ‘start’
If you do get stuck, this seems like it could be a good workaround. Great suggestion!
