I’ve updated this list:
There have been a number of issues with legendaries, so in the interest of making sure everyone is on the same page, here are the recent and current issues I’m aware of:
- —FIXED— Transmuting a legendary prior to equipping it will not award the legendary achievement
- —Active— Legendary weapon precursors cannot be used to create their legendary weapon if they’ve been transmuted
- —Active— Precursors Twilight and Sunrise do not provide the Legendary Treasures account medal.

Just got this for the first time last night. I upgraded my system and updated some firmwares but it seemed fine before did any of that. I tried almost everything I can think of to fix it. Lowered the volume, selected different audio sources, changed video drivers, rebooted and reloaded the game countless times.
Was this before or after the update? We tried another potential fix for this issue with the update, so the timing makes a difference.

The most important thing to remember with crash reports is to fill in the reporting box with information on what you were doing and submit it, as these reports go directly to our programmers to investigate.

Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like everyone is having this problem, so it may be something caused by graphics settings or hardware. If you are having this problem, please provide a screenshot of your graphics settings and a DxDiag report so that we can try and find out what the common cause might be.

As for the third point brought up by the OP, some of you have surmised that this is a pathing issue with NPCs, and you’re correct; unfortunately, this is a limitation of our system and one that we do not have plans to change at this time.
Since this is part of the game’s design, the bug forum is not the appropriate place to discuss it. Hey all,
Unfortunately, we haven’t found out why the Berserker isn’t consistently hitting and are still investigating what could have caused this skill to break. This is still a high-priority for us, and we appreciate your understanding as we continue to work on this issue.
While we still be continuing to work on this bug, this thread has been continually bumped and spammed — which prevents us from seeing other pertinent issues and is against the CoC — and will now be closed.

Unfortunately, since there hasn’t been an error code with this issue, we haven’t been able to identify what’s causing it yet. Going off of the OP’s response, it sounds like this could be region based, so we’d like to investigate some other possibilities.

The dragon chest and fire elemental chest use different models, so it’s not completely unusual. But it is definitely still very odd.
I ran through the event a couple times with your graphics settings and was still able to see the chest, so it’s not that (or at least not that alone). I could be wrong, but it looks like your graphics card drivers are out of date, so I’d recommend updating those and then trying to run the event again.
If you still can’t see the chest, but are able to loot it, please let us know. Thank you!

While it sounds like the same issue is being reported here, there can be multiple reasons behind this, so I’d like to try and separate out what we can do something about and what we’re working on.
Here’s what we’re already aware of and DO NOT need more information on:
- If you’re lagging in a world boss fight and/or with lots of other players around
- If you’re lagging in WvW with a zerg
- If you’re crashing to desktop
If this does not describe the issue you’re seeing, please provide the following information:
- What server you’re on
- What map you’re experiencing the lag on
- If you are disconnecting, the error code that appears on DC

As Archangelus noted, AR does apply in Death Shroud; it may appear that you’re taking more damage because your Life Force pool in Death Shroud is roughly half of your actual health.
In regards to the concerns about pets and AR, we are working on implementing this in a future update.

Thanks for the updates! While we initially tried to fix this in our most recent hotfix, the changes caused more problems than they solved, so we had to remove them. We’ll be re-implementing new fixes in an upcoming update that should solve this issue.

Current Issues:
There is currently an issue where completing certain story steps as part of a group can change the path of your character’s story if you are not the story owner.
While we’re still working on identifying the underlying issue , we do know that the bug is triggered by players completing story missions as a group that include making a big decision or completing story missions as part of a group that check for the decisions you’ve made.
We will continue investigating this bug, but in the meantime, if you want to play it safe and lower the chances of running into this while doing group story, here are the quests you should complete solo (these are the story steps we’re aware of; there may be others).

- Set to Blow
- Ogre
- The Lost Chieftain’s Return
- Grawl
- Attempted Deicide
- Quaggan
- Evacuation
- Hylek
- Unholy Grounds
— Chapter 7 —
- Forging the Pact: [3/13 update] The bug causing this issue has a different cause than the other ones listed. We are working on a potential fix for this issue to prevent other players from encountering it.
- The Battle of Fort Trinity
Unfortunately, if you’ve already run into one of these issues, we cannot reset your progress or change your existing story path.
The problem is that there is literally no difference between a character who intentionally picked the Vigil and one who got sent there by the bug, so there’s simply no way to automatically fix affected characters. Our CS team does not have the ability to change your current quest or order, either, so it’s not something that we can manually fix on a case by case basis, either.
We will continue to monitor and update this thread as information comes in and changes are made. We apologize for the to those affected by this bug, and thank you for your patience and understanding while we work to resolve these issues.
Past/resolved issues:
- Initial bug: Players skipped 18 levels of personal story content after completing “Kellach’s Attack” in a group.
- Resolution: Affected players were reset back to the personal story step they were on before the skipped content.
- Initial bug: Players who completed the story step where an order is chosen as part of a group ended up as part of the Vigil by default.
- Resolution: This cause behind this issue was fixed in the 10/22 patch; it should not reoccur. Unfortunately, we have no way to retroactively fix this for players who have already been affected for the same reason we cannot fix the other issues listed in this thread.
