This is the best sustain/condi/hybrid spec I have so far.

I am into some sPVP only guild that require me to rep when I play with them.
If I join REV and I play most of my match with a dedicated REV sPVP team (supposing that I fit comp and style), can I join you up without going on Blackgate (I don’t WvW) and repping 100% but more 60%+?
A friend and I two-queued tonight, winning against a few notable folks such as Caed, Ostrich Eggs, and Noscoc (who was three-queuing) while playing this build (Paladin’s Amulet), but then we lost with Chaith on our team… and he called the rest of us bad.
Anyway, it’s basically a bruiser variant of the Bunker Mesmer build.
Yea, you played with Five Gadget and The Team I pug with was The First Straw.
I said to them over TS, that Velimere is the best mesmer of the two… I don’t remember your mesmer name.
We did win this game because you were not been able to kill the sustain of our group fight… and I was playing bunker support like always.
It was an okay fight, but I felt you could had gave us more difficulties. Your other mesmer soloqing was a dead weight doing nothing. Probably, it would had been harder with a necro or a rev.
Your chrono bunker with some offensive crit sigils seems something I want to try out.

What happened to all the high tier solo players, twitch streamers, Academy Gaming teams etc?? I normally got queued with people from Apex, or Radioactive, Team PZ, occasionally people from the Abjured and just other players of that caliber. Did they all just quit because anet can’t get their pvp act together? Seems all that’s left are the ESL teams who just do private scrimmages.
Did beat Five Gadget / Chaith yesterday night with The First Straw (he was soloqing, nothing he could had done).
Actually we are off-season, people play other games. Some will come back, some will not. (Blade of soul, Fallout 4, Heroes of Storm… many other MOBA planned for 2016 that are action based with dodge!!)
We are not gaining enough of new serious competitive players with high skill ceiling versus the number we lose each balanced patches.
High level players don’t like the others, cause they are their direct competitors. Many of those did FLIP so many times teams, that they don’t deserved honor nor valor and trust
Wait for next season to come up. For meta build (that the lamb are waiting for) to settled, then we will have more serious people to play with. But it would never be like the golden age of sPvP in between Tol1 and Tol2.

“Search and Rescue!” is not OP. It is quite counter-able. I’ve seem some incredible gameplay from the other team where they would jump the Druid with CC like Slick Shoes and heavy cleave as soon as the body is downed and TP’ed. So maybe, just maybe, you should adapt instead of whining and tunnel-visioning.
Versus 1, yes. Versus two, not.
And while you beat the druid with cleave, the pet is still rezzing. Btw, the same druid that is focused fire, is healing himself up and leave the place with Invis or staff 3. More time for the pet to rez up.
Please, be honest, if Anet want to balanced REZ support, either town down ranger new REZ or UP other support REZ possibilities.
This is not a L2P issues, nor tunnel visions problem, nor QQ. Simply observations of what our next league season will become.
Learn to know Anet will nerf cheeze to the ground, they did that for all cheeze in the past.

Well… perhaps, when you faced a cheeze 2 druids rezzer comp, you will know that 2 bunker mesmer was more easier to deal with their rezzing.
One people cleaving can delay the res significantly. Res speed is affected by healing power, this is why you are baffled by the speed. The Ranger is most likely running the Menders amulet which makes him very glass and vulnerable to focus fire. It can run away perhaps but it cannot sustain vs 2 people for more then a couple of seconds.
This. If your thief and rev are aware of the druid when someone gets downed, they can teleport to him, interrupt him with steal if running stab, and delete him in a few seconds, while cleaving the downed. Only problem is when the druid positions himself in a really good position like outside the clock tower or under the Keep on Niflhel where you can have some problems noticing the druid, but even then you can still just teleport to the downed body ez pz, so even if its really strong, I dont think it doesnt have counterplay… Which should be looked at is conditions staying or not on the body, ause I have not noticed it but if its true that poison doesnt stay on the body when teleported then it really sux

Like Lixion said, even if you interrupt the Druid, the pet is still rezzing.
Anyway, I don’t really mind having druid rezzer, it’s fun and I will probably abuse it.

here is the main point, S&R is NOT I repeat NNNNOOOTTT op in anyway shape or form compared to other abilities classes have! in fact its a unique ability just like any other class/ specialization.
Well I played versus a comp hosting two druid rezzer. Mid fight on Legacy of Foefire was a stale all match. No one were able to cap it.
We tried to counter druids on ledge, but the rez was done.
Perhaps, you should play with another druid to see how it work. (or be better to counter burst)
GASM was playing the comp, they are not the best in the world, but at least offer you a challenge when you play versus them.
Double Druid Rezzer is Cheeze and make that game like it was prepatch with bunker mesmer.

Well give me a good bunker support necro build so i can test it in spvp.
Those I tried lately were subpar versus scrapper/mesmer bunker. With the new shout for ranger, druids got a nice safe rez too.
I played vampiric reaper build lately, condi build and power well build.
Search and rescue trait has a 85 second CD. It can be reduced by 20% by the Resounding timbre trait.
Please fix the wiki.

I am main bunker support since 2012. I hve 9k games over 7 classes. I played all viable support build.
I want that all classes got their viable support build. If one got OP versus the others we go back to the cheeze mesmer/rev quickness rez part. It’s clear anet tried to fix the problem, but with search and rescue changes, they simply move the problem from mesmer (that is in broken state right now) to druids.
Stacking two druids is enough to replace 2 bunker mesmer, 2 quickness/infuse light rev comp.
If it’s the plan, at least give a viable rez option to all classes to get rez support somewhat balanced.
So, yes I am serious… and if they don’t do nothing about it, the pvp forum will get flood by all the crap the last meta bring… the QQ will not be about mesmer, but druids.
Do you really want to get a broken druids build because of the search and rescue change? You know… when they nerf, they overnerfed all viable spec of a class.

It’s another terrible attempt at updating skills. There wasn’t anything wrong with the skill as it was previously. This version is over the top.
Well, except the monstrous cooldown.
Transfusion has been doing something similar since June, even affecting more allies on a shorter cooldown, but nobody complains about that.
Thats because of the “pet ressing”. The necro transfusion trait is awesome, but still takes at least twice as long to res its target which gives alot more time for opponents to react.
Transfusion healing part is bugged. Reaper or Necro have a high end build that is not bunker/support because other classes (ele, scrapper, druids, guard) got more viable support build.
The pet rez seems instant or so… and the downed player seems up before you got time to counter it.
Give us counter play, with “good” tell that take 2 sec or more, to make it good.
Don’t forget the trait that rez with search and rescue don’t have any cooldown, seems instant and rez in less than 1 second.
Two rezzing druids, 1 scrapper, 1 thief, 1 reaper.
Quickness rez was removed… too hard to cap a point, because your guyz were always up and running again. Same for Runes of Mercy.
Let’s see the new rez that is better than quickness rez:
“Search and Rescue!”
45 Recharge time
Your pet teleports a downed ally within range to you and begins reviving them. Grant regeneration to nearby allies.

With this rez, you removed the downed body from cleave and stomp. On Legacy of Foefire, you can place two pew pew druids on ledges to rez your DPS…
Meaning, that now Runes of mercy or Quickness rez that was great to rez people is banned from sPVP but search and rescue is faster rez than a quickness rez. The pet rez, the ranger rez, the regens helps…. it is at a safe place.
It seems bug, the 1200 range is from pet and not the caster, so you can send your pet on mid, while you are on home or far and rez mid players.
We will get a patch… I hope they adjust this before pro league, I want anet to either upgrade the cooldown of the shout because of that trait: “Beastmastery Resounding Timbre — Shouts apply regeneration and swiftness to allies. Reduces recharge on shouts.”
More the rez trait of ranger don’t have any Internal cooldown:

DPS are scissor and rock are bunker. Paper is your condi build that DPS eat for diner.

This (with stomp) is something that bunker/support were bringing to a match.
I understand that having DPS/Bruisers rezzing like support (quickness or mercy) was not balanced.
So can you give some more love to healing power and use a scaling coefficient based on this to help revive a bit faster?
Cleric amulet is the support ammy of the game. The healing power don’t scale great with healing/regen, so people prefer to play with something else.
For those guard, ele, druids or scrapper… can we have some more utilities tie to healing power since you nerfed our playstyle a lot with the last patch?

Queue time is a valid point.
But to achieve that, you need to lock profession when queuing. This means a lot of flexibility will be lost.
Hardcore sPvPer have many toons and many builds for different situations. We switch them to give our comp a chance to win, the comp vs comp aspect of it.

1) To be competitive you should put 50$.
This argument is not valid. This means, that to be competitive you are Pay to Win. You don’t like the conotation of it? We are not speaking about you, nor general MMORPG players here.
We are talking about going into a market ten times bigger that still grow that have a clear understanding that what mean PAY to WIN your game.
2) Gw2 is not a MOBA.
False, sPvP is clearly an arena where skills matter more than grinds. Go back to PVE or WvW, this is the PVP forum, where players play in a multiplayer online battle arena game.
3) sPvP don’t make Anet money.
Really bad thinking. sPVP catter to MOBA players. People coming from gw1 (from the most successfull game mode, MOBA – Arena pvp) or other MOBA, paid Gw2 with real money. Even, some of them start playing a MMORGP for the first
time. So sPvP is a growing vector of PVE and WvW because it take people from another game genre and convert it to MMORPG.

Sorry, this argument is invalid. Actually, you can PVE with a vanilla FREE to PLAY account without much consequences till the end.
For sPvP a game mode that give the same chances for day 1 for all, is the only game mode that need to get a 50$ to play on equals feet with other players.

sPvP matchmaking need a large pool of players. One of the biggest break to sPvP growth is our F2P guyz stop playing after a week because to get really into it, you need to pay 50$ for it.
Those same people think it’s not worth it because they can play Heroes of the Storm, Lol, Smite or Dota 2 for free and be competitive.
Without large pool of players and new growth, our competitive scene will shrink too much to be viable.
6) Think about the consequences your ideas would have and their impact.
Bringing the sPvP community x10 stronger. Giving PVE and WvW new people that will someday pay the money for the full game and not just sPVP. Because they are hook to the combat mecanic of that said game.
Giving more visibility into MOBA communities, so our twitch assistance growth x10 what it is now because the game is present falsely like a MMORPG when really, sPVP is a MOBA.

There seems to be a ton of threads now about if GW2 is P2W, and it’s clearly not.
This game is however Pay to Compete, and there’s a very hefty price just to level the playing field.
The issues discussed above just highlight how such a model is turning away prospective sPvP players every day.

Having a smaller download, a PR campaign into the MOBA preview game site (so many these dayz), 1 or 2 publicity about HoTM MOBA games over Google/Youtube…
With a real f2p MOBA model (only for spvp or your MOBA game) that is compatible with your MMO b2p model, so some MOBA player can B2P the MMORPG version of it, would probably x10 our pvp population.
This would bring better match making system. And the competitive field would be better because we market to competitive pvp players (from the MOBA scene).

But this varies with the build and the pilot.
Some Expert Engi will always be better at Scrapper than an Expert Necro at the same “talent/skill” level.
Each build pilot got their own weakness in 1v1. So, it’s harder to judge the list of a main engi scrapper versus the list of another main engi scrapper at the same level.
So, this is totally subjective and relative.
Those kind of post are rubbish and their value are kinda bork.
Perhaps it can give a general picture, but I’ve seen Warrior lately, killing Scrapper or Druid without too much problem in 1v1 at same skill level. And I will never say that Warrior > Scrapper or Druid because of that.
My 2 cents, Mistrust work great with Staff 5 and Gravity Well.

Many good players tried different build in unranked, meaning their MMR is not that high. Many people did dodge unranked queue a lot, so their MMR start high. It will eventually become better.
Unranked is fun when you play with two other guyz. So, you can carry the two other random guyz versus that bad premade. Really much more fun that way than having random result match after match.
To resume:
Ask friends to trio queue with you.
In case you need more friends, join MISTCORE pvp guild no string attached (no rep required). Ask me in game for some matches.

condi wont be a thing. just necro maybe . as ele is out of the meta so only ranger with boons spamming mainly and scrapper. so 1 necro condi is enough for the other 4 team member to be full power creep /sustain

The April 2014 Patch did kill Bunker Guard (yeah dd ele are OP that much)
The June 2015 Patch did kill Shoutbow bruisers AOE cleansers.
The January 2016 Patch did kill Tempest Aura shout build and Mesmer Bunker.
Now… give me a viable meta build that AOE condi cleanse… please. We need to get two or three of that in a working comp. Usually 2 bruisers + 1 bunker.
We all deserved to die to condis, night after night. We all want that Bunker meta dead. Well, kitten us all.
What is funny, is we are in denial. Our community is too new to remember that the bunker meta of 2012 get nerfed and we got a condi meta after that (2013 dhummfire???), that got nerfed, to get a burst meta that got … Same old kitten, but now bunker are worse than ever, since we can’t allocate stats anymore… since they remove the vit+though ammy… since we are “prisonners” of Anet desire to do whatever they want…. RPG should be about choices to build your character… we lost even that.

With Leadership runes, you are right.
Use that on Guardian for more retals.

In my honest opinion, I believe it would be just to give the honor trait line of the bunker guardian a minor trait (instead of the terrible grandmaster trait) that bumps the health pool up by 300 vitality. AND decrease the cast time of Signet of Courage and allow it to revive teammates in its radius as well as full heal allies (not full healing the revived individuals). This would ensure some rez capability (with plenty of counterplay) to bunker guard and let them stand on point/go for regular “F” revive while not being heavily punished. This would help the gameplay everyone is familiar with return.

The removal of celestial ammy is a God Send for Bunker Guard. Now, no other build can go on our things (stomp and rez) with more damage than we can offer.
With the recent buff to meditations, it’s possible to play bunker guard meditations spec.
We loosing the AOE Condi cleanses… to a selfish condi cleanses… but guess what… all other meta build are selfish now. So, all builds need to cleanses themselves up.
This, help a lot to have a viable rez and stomp build.
Nothing perfect, but the GM trait give more than 300 vitality (cough healing power cough).
The interesting thing about the build, is now we can play a Rune other than Soldiers. And the sigil of energy is bad since, we got enough vigor with Sigil of intelligence to go back on sigil of life. The sigil of speed for some switfness to combo into staff 3 help our mobility as well.
Another thing I really like about it, is the meditation elite now fit the bunker theme.
With Cleric Ammy, the meditations heals bring more sustain than AH from my own feeling. Smite conditions on heals and on skills bring some more pressure that shouts are not giving us!
I didn’t play that B. Guard much, but it will be probably the safest / most efficient bunker build right before scrapper or necro or cleric ele.
When you are done with the build, please give some props to Dal. (bunker guard can be meditations based!)

Seems the best thing or fit for the small niche of PVP teams. The first page, got a full month of submissions. (EU seems more active than NA)
What I find sad, is that without visibility from the PVP forum, people don’t know the place so they use it less than it should be.

I think the issue is that there’s a subforum for those kind of topics.
Since I am too noob to find it, can you link me that SPVP subforum looking for a team?
I suppose a “real” support spec would be able to send unique supportive effects or abilities to allies like “Your attacks are unblockable for the next 3 seconds” or “Reflect incoming enemy attacks for 3 seconds” or “Press the interact key to teleport to the ally who granted you this ability”. Since you can’t cast spells by targeting allies in Gw2 so far, this can’t happen. Currently supports just spam boons and healing, which most classes can arguably do themselves already.
I did work many Cleric builds.
Can’t make it work for warriors… but for guardian, druids, scrapper and mesmer… it’s great.
I go for cleanses, stomp and rez first.
Scrapper bulkward gyro is a great utility for group (the reflect dome is great!), like the reflect wall of guardian.
I will not revel my build before next season start, but you guyz can find something support that work out.
With scrapper or guardian, I am able to sustain -1 fights for a long time (ie. 2v3). The thief really like it.
To host a Cleric player, your comp need two pure dps guy that roam good for it. This was hard with the celestial meta, but now it’s great.

Rune of mesmer are great with all the daze we get!
I play with generosity and rabid to protect myself versus condis.
Harder than this summer (chaos, illusions, duelist) but more CC, giving more utility into fights.

The two stances are mutually exclusives. They need to do like MOBA. Give free rotations of specialization and give a chance to unlock with GOLD/Gem.

You are right, we had into this PVP forum a sticky over that forum.
Somebody delete the sticky. So, now many pvp players don’t go over Reddit and come here to look for something.
I still think that the Looking for forum need to get split to accommodate game mode. Too much spam of other than SPVP team/guild to make it worthwhile for our niche game mode.

It sounds like you want profession-specific MMR? In order to do that, we would have to enforce a profession lock upon queuing. There is another thread advocating this idea with the benefit of removing profession stacking.
If you do something, make something hybrid.
Like you can’t switch to another current class of the roster to prevent class stacking.
Hard to sync up. I guess a toon drop down list into the game server, would help to removing the time it take to load three times before switching. (one load for a switch should be enough!!!!)
The other part would be, you could switch with a profession-MMR to another profession that have a lower mmr than the one you queue up with.
So, at least, we would not be punished to lower our own MMR to switch to something more viable comp-wise.
What you want to prevent is having low mmr roster switching to high mmr one. For that, locking class switching it not the solution. You need to simply add a new validation class switching (disabling higher mmr toon on class selection) based on MMR to remove the abuse while giving the flexibility that you provide us. (i really appreciate and vote for Anet for their “intent” to let flexibility be something in the game).
To resume:
You need to ADD a new class switching mecanics into spvp. It need to be done into the game server only, to let you compare MMR and other class of the team. To let people switch to a class that is not stacking and have lower MMR than the one he did queue with.

Sorry to shock you but Bunker are not Deleted or Removed. Main bunker player, like me are experimenting with other builds right now.
On top of my head, there is 4 elite spec that have good bunker potential. (can stomp, can rez, can cleanse, can AOE heals, can boon their team mate, can CC/Interrupt, can take cleave)
Lately, with a scrapper bunker, my trio win a match versus Thunderbird and Firebird duo. Neither the burst from that Overpower Necro or that Crysis DPS warrior was enough to kill my bunker experimental build. (i have screenshot at home)
I am taking big name from Radioactive, to let you know that bunker is still a viable role versus high level players. But since I switch to meta bunker to my experimental bunker build, I did lost 1 game over 2 night play.
Did played more than 7k with different bunker builds/classes.

Is Wrong since you didn’t compare it to other professions.
You need to give all those stats for all other professions before doing disinformations.
Compared to All other Melee Classes:
-Engineer has Superior Base Damage
-Engineer has Superior Power Coefficients
-Engineer has Superior DefenseScrapper Base Damage, Power Coefficients, and Defensive Capacity need to all be re-evaluated. Right now this is clearly imbalanced.
It is balanced around the fact that we can’t switch weapon.
Kits damage are sub-par to most weapons skill of the game.
If something need to be done, is simply raising Cooldown on hammer 2 and 4.

For reminder:
Retaliation and Reflect are two mechanics with high damage when it come from a DPS. Please make sure you look at when you attack.
I got games yesterday where people where complaining my damage (over a cleric scrapper build) when it was their dps on their face that make them QQ.
