10/0/30/30/0 sure is tanky, but not using hammer in a commanding build is such a waste. I actually prefer this.
You get lots of control, lots more toughness. And with all your stances you can become immune to everything, CC, Conditions, and damage. The damage you get with the knight/cavalier mix is so much better than the health from full soldier.
You want the health. You want full PVT. Ignore damage, your one and only concern is staying alive. Forget damage. I can’t see the build but running full stances is what I do. However, shout is still a brilliant option.
The difference in effective health between full knight/cavalier and full soldier is only 10k,

even in power builds if you consider the bleeding damage then Sword Auto is not bad at all with more bleed stacks it can surpass GS auto damage, plus the cripple on auto makes it way better than GS/Axe auto.
Savage Leap a gap closer and a cripple, flurry beast immobilize skill ,Final Thrust an Eviscerate that doesn’t consume adrenaline and you wonder why people use Axe instead of Sword.
Easy fix, nerf GS #5 the same way they nerfed Ele’s RTL. I main a warrior and would totally be fine with that. It would slow down the GS/Sw-X troll warriors without wrecking other viable builds.

i’m one of the few warriors that don’t put at least 15pts in defense to get Adrenal Health and my only sustain is HS and i tell you HS alone is not enough.
don’t go to that “damask req silk 100 bolts” you know silk cost 10c it is cheap as hell and very easy to get

this GS+Sw build not longbow and i’m pretty sure he is not putting 30pts in Strength also if you got flurry then its better than bolas “less CD, better for swap to 100b” plus saves an utility skill slot.
aren’t Armor only accepts defensive infusions ?
i think you must cancel flurry before switching to GS or it will bug out
Flurry > move a little right or left > switch GS > 100b

when roaming i use GS+Sw/Sh , i eat thieves on breakfast and there is no way for you to run.
as for zerging unsuspecting foe is too valuable to let go, so i went with 0/20/30/0/20 for now and it proved itself yesterday, though still testing changing some traits/gears.
seeing “Crack Shot” moved to 10pts Adapt , would you consider using Rifle ?
maybe with GS + putting 20pts in Arms to get both traits “Crack Shot” and “Forceful Greatsword” and have the best in both worlds melee+range ? , beast in underwater warfare too xD .

earth shaker Dec 10 damage = (-10% crit damage (-10% Burst damage(-20% earth shaker)))
so if your earth shaker crit damage now is 4000 after the patch it will be 2592.

i dropped endure pain long time ago and never looked back instead i use Shield Stance a better alternative no need for utility slot .

i use Warrior’s Sprint in my WvW roaming build since i use Lyssa runes so i cant pop signet of rage all the the time .
but in PvE as said above its better to use Signet Mastery instead “20% signet cd reduction” and equip GS/S-Wh while traveling , you get 24/7 swiftness “33% faster” up time coupled with high mobility from this weapon set.

not trying to change the subject but as i was a very committed BF player since 2005 i have to say it.
the last good BF was BF2 if you are really looking for the “team player” factor, also the development team is way worse in there, they cant acknowledge their bugs, bad balancing, neglecting original player base and “CoDfing” the whole series .
actually compared to DICE from a so called “BF2 veteran” view, Anet is not bad at all .

If the Sigil wasnt so expenseive, i would buy it to test, it looks very interesting in PvP, you transferring that bleeds, confusion, Necro ones (dunno their condi names) right after to their faces.
its not available in PvP, and it transfers just 1 condition.
i got the sigil but really i dont feel it when playing normally coz the 10s cd and it trigger even if there was no conditions on you, i feels it need too much babysitting to get the advantage ,you have to time your attack so you wait for a big stack of a condition then swap to Generosity weapon and attack and be sure it crits.
it needs testing i guess but i think the transfer gets first (if it triggers) because adrenaline consumption is not instant.
testing might be hard :P …..60% chance to trigger on crit + 10s cooldown + it triggers even if there is no condition on you and goes full CD

The runes could be pretty interesting (depending on the cd for aegis), but I don’t think I’ll be replacing the Dolyak runes on my main set, but I may try them out if I get some lucky drops.
I’m just curious, as I’m still a WvW newbie (somewhere around rank 55-60), I don’t see how the Sigil will make that much of a difference. If you are already using Knights gear an extra 250 toughness will give you what….+1.5-2.5% DR (rough guesstimate, maybe in the 56% DR range), nothing that noteworthy (compared to getting extra power/precision/condi damage at least). I could see maybe it being useful in a less tanky build though, but I don’t see it insta-replacing the extra power or condi dam that most people are using now.
there are tons of runes way better than Dolyak rune you can start replacing them right now no need to wait for the patch.
250 toughness is a lot if you consider that signet of the dolyak passive gives 180 toughness.
250 toughness = 27% of the pure zerker warrior toughness
250 toughness = 10% of the tankiest warrior toughness
depends on the build.
in my case , Necros, Guardians and d/d thiefs
so Signet of Might activates Aegis and ignore it on the enemy in the same time
well that is why you take another set beside GS.
GS is fine if there is anything it needs is a faster auto attack.

GS is fine, just give it faster auto attack.
if you are serious about WvW you would eventually get em, if you are serious about WvW you wont care if anyone got em.
WvW never balanced and never will be unless you get rid of foods, utilities, Ruins, Guild Buffs and Ascended/exotic gear if that what you want then better go sPvP.

A slow projectile to slow down enemy. How ironic inst it? Current problem is that in many cases projectile doesnt return as its getting obstructed on terrain, is fairy easy to avoid just by running in circles…

Nice combo right here, lay down a symbol and use whirling wrath to clean conditions, after that leap for addiotional 5s of retal, just to make life easier. Damage wise+utility? No commend.

Where do u place ur vote?I do know that warrior gs has a trait for might on crit, but due to it low power scaling is not all that great as it seems to be, at the same time guardian can trait to heal per strike of gs. I do probably made some mistakes so correct me if im wrong, i am not a pro at calculations ; )

but nubs QQ will never stop, even Mobility the only advantage it got over Guard GS they want it stripped.
the only thing i think War GS needs is faster Auto Attack, you cant really compare it to a heavy weapon like Hammer which logically should be slower and more damaging than GS, but its not the case, GS Auto attack is indeed weaker but got the same speed as hammer.
