The skin copy idea won’t happen for one simple reason: Legendaries.
Your issue of having to buy multiple sets of the same set of skins even though you only want a single piece could be dealt with by having an option of buying just some pieces of the armor sets.
I’m only talking about the armor skins for purchase in the gem store. Also I already brought up the point you made in your last statement. Heck if I had my way they would be infinite like the weapon skins from the achievement chests. That’s just a dream though.
I’m just throwing this idea out there for the heck of it. When the new gem store armor skins come out I always buy at least one of each set and I’m sure many others do as well. Having many alts this can get kind of pricey and I usually don’t get them for more than one character for each armor type. However, usually there is a piece or two I would like to have for an alt but would rather not like to buy the entire set again.
I think it would be an interesting idea to find a middle ground. Perhaps some kind of stone or item in the gem store where you could copy the skin off of an existing skinned item without stats of course. For example, one stone to copy a helmet skin from the existing one minus the stats to be used on the helmet of an alt. That way the character with the original purchased skin could keep it equipped and for the alt the customer could purchase the copy device for one item skin.
Due to the expense of the full armor skins I think this might find a good middle ground for customers that purchased the entire set to be able to use selected pieces on other alts and still bring in gem sales. I know I would do so because many of the sets I don’t use all the pieces anyway but would like to say have shoulders from the skin set I purchased on an alt as well as the character I purchased the set for.
Of course the armor skins could be sold by the piece as well. That would be easier.
We reviewed the chat logs and this player isn’t a spam bot. There’s a lot of actual conversation between the guild messaging.
Okay thanks for looking into it. It just seemed odd because that was the only thing I ever saw the person post in /map chat and it seemed to be at all times with the same copy and paste message. I guess just a coincidence. I’ll just block so I don’t see it anymore

I’ve reported it as spam a few times already. The tag they use is probably in a grey area due to it being an acronym for a certain phrase.

You are correct, I’m not one of those people that has banned multiple times or even once for that matter. I don’t plan to either. I understand the line between taunting in a competitive nature that respects the game and simply being vicious. Care bare tryouts? I’m the coach.
Tension is not the issue in PvP. It is the words you use during that tension that can result in a 72 suspension. If your suspension was indeed warranted I imagine you can think back over the last few days and recall words you used that violated the language policy.
Also they don’t just suspend people because someone clicked the report button. They do look at chat logs to confirm the violation.
Yes. They have a product to sell and I’m a consumer with money to give them. But it’s not automatic, they have to earn it. This how they find out how to earn it.
For now I’m giving their money to a competitor. But if ArenaNet addresses the item restoration issue I’ll consider giving them money. For now it’s too much of a risk.
It has been explained on this forum many times by staff that they do not have a system set up to replace items due to user error. Your situation is unfortunate but the error occurred on your end when you transmuted the wrong item, not theirs. If they responded to every player saying they accidentally deleted the wrong item or transmuted it wrong they would be hammered non-stop. Most of these claims would probably be false anyway with people claiming it was an accident when really it was just a decision they wished they had not made.
If you are so adamant about this issue then perhaps you should start a post in the suggestion forum with a well thought out explanation on how they could offer such a service. Necroing these threads only makes it look like you are trolling the account support forum because you are bitter over a mistake you made.
So if that’s weird to you, then just find another post to help someone. I’m just waiting for a staff member.
I wasn’t questioning your relationship with your cousin. My point was when share a computer and start accessing each others accounts it could cause problems. This may not be the issue in your case but IMO it still isn’t a good idea.
But again, this post is not centered on my friend and his issues. He can deal with those himself. It’s about my account being mistakenly banned.
Are you sure one of the other 2 people who use your computer didn’t access your account to do something nefarious? This whole triangle between 3 people using the same computer and posting here from other people’s account seems suspect.
Now I’ve talked to my cousin (the owner of this account) and my room mate, both of whom share the same computer as me. Apparently my room mate tricked someone in my guild into sending him a Dawn. The person who sent it to him must have reported him because he logged on later and it was gone, his PASSWORD was also changed (something that I find completely wrong, but that’s another story).
I may be a bit off but something tells me the part I put in bold may very well have something to do with the problem here.
PvE content, or any game content for that matter, should not be restricted just because some group says you shouldn’t do it. It is one thing to work with the community with things like farming and such but when players start demanding you go to a different server:

It is a circular area and you can literally run the circle killing them and by the time you do a full lap they respawn. There are also no aggressive mobs or non-ambients to accidentally tag

Due to the new achievement rewards system I imagine there will be more threads like this. I’m not saying the OP doesn’t just want the achievement for the sake of doing it but I imagine many are more interested in them now because of the rewards. I know I am.
The search function is one click away from useless. It really bothers me when I see someone ask a question on the forums and some nimrod always chimes in saying use the search function. When it rarely gives results it doesn’t appear to give any weight to a thread title. Maybe just throw a Google search box up there instead. At least it would be better.

On a side note I was in Sanctum Sprint today with a group of mostly Asura and after watching that goofy run animation for 2 races I wanted to rip my eyes out. Don’t worry I didn’t do it. I left the race instead.

I simply would prefer not to see PvE turned into what would probably become a disorganized dueling arena. Also I would prefer not to have anymore notifications popping up on my screen. Maybe if it cost 15 gold, nonrefundable to put someone on the list I would be slightly more receptive to the idea, very slightly.

Nope, I kind of like it too. It’s isn’t optimal but I refuse to use a greatsword because I can’t stand that sound it makes non-stop. Scepter 3 makes the sound as well but because of the cool down it isn’t constant. I use s/s/scepter/p. I have found with timing weapon swapping it can be pretty effective in many cases. You are not going to plow through mobs with that set but with swapping and dodging it can make for a good fight with the tougher mobs.
They refused to restore an irreplaceable event skin for me. They spent days researching whether it was their fault. It would have been cheaper and faster to just restore it. Would have cost less manpower and they’d still have a customer.

Sure but say it out loud where the “u” sounds like when you pronounce trucker. I’m not saying you picked a name specifically to sound like a curse word. I’m saying given the way it can be pronounced may be what is causing the problem.
It took me a second looking at the name but if say “Phuca” it sounds like an F word. Putting the word thief in front of it makes it a little more shady. Perhaps it was coincidental but words in a name that sound like words that violate the language guidelines can result in problems as well.

I said subtle for a reason. There are a thousand ways ANet could make it non-obtrusive. Use your imagination.
I know what subtle means and it means it is still there. I don’t want subtle and especially subtle flashing to tell me to tell it I saw it. I don’t want it on the screen at all. As subtle as it may be I have a pretty good field of vision and I’m sure I would see it constantly. Take a poll and ask people here who wants more junk on their screen even if it is subtle .

Optional ingame notification is really great idea.
As long as it could be permanently disabled and didn’t glitch and turn itself back on time to time, as long as it didn’t remind me at times I could turn it off and on, as long as the option to turn it off or on wasn’t on the screen, as long as they didn’t start showing up in the chat window, as long as it didn’t cause any bugs with the game, as long as it didn’t use up any resources, as long as there was a 100% chance that once I opted out I would never have to see or hear of it ever again, I wouldn’t have a problem with it.
There was a discussion a few days ago. It is kind of a gray area IMO. I don’t use it myself but I have seen plenty people use it. All my wins I didn’t use. Of course I won’t say I never used the fake power-ups.
Why would it need to be disabled? It’s a simple in-game mail that says something like:
"Hello Adventurer,
The Mist League will be hosting matches between a teams today. If you’d like to watch these matches, please tune in to the http://www.twitch.tv/mistleague and cheer on your favorite team(s)."
It takes all of 10sec to delete that main in-game if you don’t want to read it or care about it. But it’s a good way of informing the player base of matches, and for GW2 to promote it’s eSports agenda.

What was your score? If it was 165 or less it means you didn’t really get first. If someone gets first and then exits the game the person in 2nds name will show as first on the leader board due to points and so forth. You have to finish physically 1st for the achievement.
And this is supposed to get people to watch it? There needs to be some sort of in-game pop up/mail informing players to tune into the Live Stream matches when they happen.

No, I wouldn’t leave it as just a nice deed from Leires. I respect what he/she did, but more of these would ruin the competition and turn it into an organized achievement event.

I look at it this way. If I win 2 more more races in a row against the same group of players I don’t consider it some major achievement and really some exciting competition. At that point I bow out and find a different group so perhaps the group I was with would have a more level playing field. It really isn’t competition or rewarding to beat up on the same group of players constantly. If I stop at the line for someone to get first I don’t consider it a big deal either because I knew I was first but just didn’t cross the line. I don’t have some pressing desire to see my name at the top of the results over and over. At this point I just go to the races as a change of pace from other game play and to get a few coins.

There were a couple of people complaining about getting them. I know go figure… It’s too bad they are account bound and they can’t give them away. It would be a win/win for you and the person complaining.
That should help. Click show all point in the region you are interested in. The gates should be where the roads lead off each map and appear to head toward another region. Normally there is a waypoint just before the gate.
