I think they generally do not replace items due to user error. I’ve done this myself many times and it is kind of a bummer but I just started slowing down a little with my clicking fingers.
If you didn’t bot then you shouldn’t have anything to worry about. They don’t suspend people just because some people said this or that. They review the case personally before handing out the suspension. So in summary, if you didn’t do anything wrong ignore them and go about your business.
Wish I could give the badges away, 10 stacks is too much and I’m sure there are those with a lot more. Please stop.
………right click……..delete……….problem solved.
Sorry, but, problem not solved, because, I know more are coming. If I could delete them and know they would stop coming I would do it in a heartbeat.
Good grief.. I hope you are just trolling. I’m pretty sure you are. It isn’t like you are going to get these chests every day after you reach the last one for your current achievement point level. Delete, when you get the next chest, delete, repeat for each chest. You are acting like clicking two keys to delete an item is some major task.
If you are not trolling I hope you get the same potion as the one I suggested for the OP.
Wish I could give the badges away, 10 stacks is too much and I’m sure there are those with a lot more. Please stop.
You can give them away. Delete them and pretend you gave them to someone.
I hope your next chest gives you a potion that turns your character into a donkey.
I tried to do it without using the jump skill as well as not teleport. I was using lightning pull instead for place where I would normally us jump. There were a few place where you have no choice but to use jump. Or at least I couldn’t figure out a way.
I think you are missing the point. The chests give players a little bit of everything for all aspects of the game. Just because you will never play PvP doesn’t mean every PvE player doesn’t do PvP as well. Many players participate in PvE, PvP and WvW. For those that don’t do a certain part of the game they can just delete those rewards.
I will never do PvP as well, at least I’m fairly sure I won’t. I stored the skins away as they don’t take up my bank spaces. The other stuff I just stashed because I’m maxed on bank slots and had some space. If I run out of space I’ll delete them. The chest rewards are meant to provide a bit of everything across the board to accomodate players in all aspects of the game.
It’s “Stealth” not “Sleath” lol
I have a Thief up my Sleath.
The Ascended gear.
Yup, i worked for that.
I have all ascended on my main. But why, why do I have so many Badges of Honor now?
Anet, is this what you think I need?
I’m thoroughly enjoying the PvE aspect of your game.
If you want to have more people PvP-ing, why not make it more rewarding.
Instead of giving us Badges and achi PvP gear in the hope that we’ll PvP more.I don’t like to fish much.
Throw a 1000 dollar fishing pole at me, nope, I won’t enjoy it more.T
Did you only get badges and PvP gear? Your chest must have been broken. You should contact support.
To me if I get to the finish line first even though I don’t cross it I know I got first and that’s fine for me. I was with a group today where myself and another person kept getting first and I tried to organize a race between he and I where we were not allowed to use dash. I wanted to do this to give the others some space for their achievement. He said he was never going to let anyone get first and something like “muuhhaahhaa”. I got out infront and towards the end before the shortcut, which he always took, I stood there with my fake waiting. He came around the corner and I dropped it right in his face. Another player passed us. He logged out of the race without finishing. LOL
It’s just a fun, kind of goofy event and there is no reason to get super competitive as if there is something to prove.. The level of skill it takes to get first is not much once you learn the track and the angles it takes to get to the first waterfall before anyone else. A little luck is involved as well. Other than that, if you get out in front to the first fake spam it, slow the pace a little to make sure you don’t fall, keep using fakes. Sure the ground skill can counter it but the person in front always gets fakes and the grounds, while they fall often are not 100%. Use one to counter lightning and your going to eat a fake a few seconds later. If you are winning a few races in a row against the same people just bow out and switch to a different race where you might find some actual competition.
Stop it, just please stop it.
I know you want people to buy extra storage space.
But please enough is enough.T
Delete them. Problem solved.
It’s just a simple thing that has bugged me for a while. And I really don’t think a fix would take very long to make.
I’m sorry I was rather rude to you. I’ve been kind of bummed out with all the complaining around here recently (it seems more so than usual with the achievement chests and other shiny things out recently). Honestly I have never paid that much attention to what category they were under for the most part. I can see where it might be more annoying for someone tracking achievements a bit more diligently. Once again I apologize for my tone.
Gheez, I guess when you were reflecting on your day you couldn’t come up with anything else to complain about. Out of all the things Anet should spend time working on, I wouldn’t put that one very high on the list.
I constantly rotate characters. I have 9 alts covering all 8 professions. I tend to get a bit burned out using the same skills over and over on one character so I switch them up. I also get tired of looking at the same characters back side for extended periods of times.
Of course I play mostly to goof around and have a little fun when I don’t have other liesure activities planned. I’m probably not the best example if you are a bit more involved in gaming.
I’m pretty sure you have to confirm the changes before it is used. I don’t recall exactly because it has been a while since I used one.
Edit here you go:
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Total_Makeover_Kit
A single character may modify their appearance settings for height, physique, skin color, markings, face, hair, even gender. Race and profession will remain the same. The kit is consumed on accepting a new appearance.
You’re very welcome!
I don’t even run to beat the other players, mostly; I just run to beat my previous times. Best I’ve finished so far is with 4m to spare.
I also sometimes don’t start until 5m are left to see how far I can come back. I enjoy making personal mini-games out of these events.
I make some of my own personal games myself. I ran several races where I tried to only use lightning pull skill and nothing else. There are a few spots on the track where I tried various angles with it but couldn’t get past unless I did 1 or 2 jumps.
I’ve run it many times trying to finish with all the skills in my slots but in the top 3 – 5. That one is doable but it gets difficult when you are in an area where the fakes got spammed toward the end because you hit one and it nukes all your skills so you have to turn around and try to pick up some you passed up.
An easier one is to run it without using dash or the teleports. The waterfalls can be a pain but you can dodge forward to get through them a bit quicker. A lot of the time several of us that don’t need the achievements will organize a race like that between ourselves. There are all sorts of fun ways to make a mini game out of a mini game and let some of the less experienced players have more balanced playing field as they try to get 1st without just handing it to them by waiting at the line. Of course I do that frequently as well.
Really what would have been fun and also make the playing field more level for those less experienced would to have tiered arenas. If you win 5 1st place wins you go to the next tier with others with the same. Then at 10 more 1st places you go up again, and so forth. At each tier there would be slightly less skill bags available. In that case each level would offer slightly higher rewards and say 5 achievement points. That way the people still trying to complete the base achievements would not always be racing against people that have figured out the trick to winning constantly. I’d be all for racing at the next tier.
Last time I joined sanctum sprint it looked like this :C
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dmyz_f8Sx14
LOL, that’s about what it looked like on day 1 of the patch for sure.
I’m waiting for someone to drop in any minute and complain about the rewards from the chest.
I only have like 3000 points so it will take a long time to get the 5000 chest.
I only have 1700 so I don’t feel too sorry for you.
It will be a long time before I earn the 5000 chest so I can complain about what’s in it. Scratch that, I will probably never get it. Anyone want to give me a preview of the 2000 chest so I can prepare some complaints?
I’m sure many will appreciate your video. You didn’t even use the fakes as much as you could have. More or less get aspect master 1st then get to the fakes first and that pretty much does it. I looked at your mini map and you really didn’t even need to use the shortcut. I’m not a fan of that maneuver anyway. I don’t think you will get much response from the “pro” racers around here because your video more or less confirms that the race is won in the first 30 seconds or so.
I was thinking of making one myself so I’m glad you beat me to it to save me some time.
Oh and I liked the music.
How is this thread relevant to the living story?
or to the BOTFW?
Regarding the topic:
It is useless to you but other might benefit from it.
I for one wouldn’t mind a scroll that gives +10 levels being sold in BLTC.It’s relevant to BotFW because it came out during this release. That’s about it.
That is just the way it was timed. I imagine they worked it in as part of the patch that launched the event, a package deal. This is a living story forum and the achievement chests are entirely separate from the living story.
I wonder if the 10k chest is going to give a +20 level scroll.
I hope it has a -20 scroll so then players have a reason to use the +20 scroll without complaining.
I’m waiting for someone to drop in any minute and complain about the rewards from the chest.
LOL I knew it was going to happen. They just did it in the wrong forum.
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/livingworld/bazaar/Experiance-Scroll-for-5k-point-chest
it actually makes a lot of sense for them to show the dates where they will delineate “quarters”. so people know they need to buy gems before so-and-so date – that way they’ll get a flurry of orders before the deadline and fewer complaints.
This would probably cause another problem. If they do another gift and people just bought gems in hopes of getting one and the gift is not of some subject value that the player expected once again they will flock to the forums to complain.
The best bet is to buy gems when you want them for things you want. The return for doing so is you get the item you want. If Anet decides to do another appreciation gift for the period in which you purchased gems it is just a nice bonus. It isn’t like these gifts are some mind blowing mega prize. They are just nice fun items to have from time to time.
It’s not exactly “free” Cellach, its 5000 achi points of work and you get it in a mixed bundle
Look at it this way. If the scroll had not been included in that mixed bundle you would not have come to the forum to complain about getting one, would you? Just put it in your bank in the event you should ever decide to roll a new alt or delete it and pretend you never got it. Problem solved.
The rewards in these chests appear to be designed to provide items for most aspects of the game. Many people like making new alts. It is just like the PvP gear. I will never ever play PvP. I used deposit all collectibles and now it is in some locker I will probably never look at. It certainly wasn’t anything to complain about since those items came with several items I can use. Plus you never know, they may make a new profession or race someday and it might come in pretty handy then.
Look at it like this:
I’ll take the later thank you. I really love it when people go out of their way to find things to complain about.
Personally I would rather not see yet another profession running around with greatswords. That would mean 5 out of 8 professions would probably be using them most of the time (aside from Ranger that you don’t see using it that often). I’m not going to run in here with my head exploding if it happens. If it does I hope it doesn’t make some annoying high pitched sound like Mesmer. I love playing my Mesmer but put myself at a slight disadvantage because I refuse to use a greatsword due to the sound it makes.
Give them a mace instead.
And even the Experience Scroll I was all O.O
You can also get XP from this chest? oO
It’s an experience scroll that will instantly put any character under level 20 to level 20.
What if I want to turn a lv 80 character to lv 20…
By using my expertise in common sense, I am going to say that this is likely not possible.
Yes but someone posting that in jest is highly possible. :P
What if I want to turn a lv 80 character to lv 20…
Character select > delete > type name to confirm > character create > use same profession and appearance > use same story options > use same name > use scroll.
I’m weird because I have been saving mine for some reason. My distorted thought process makes me think they will have some purpose for an achievement in some update (1 year anniversary event maybe?). I use them from time to time in RP events but they get old fast because of the slow cool down. So I suppose I’ll keep a few stacks just incase.
I have alts in all professions. The ones I play the least are the ones that don’t have some way to get passive 25% perma swiftness. For me it is an open world PvE thing though as it reduces my travel time. It feels horrible going from my Ranger to my Mesmer or Guardian. I made the mistake of rolling a full sized Norn Memser. I know it is just a visual effect but it looks like the slowest moving thing in the entire game. If moving slow and looking like you are moving even slower is not your thing, never roll a giant, big fat, full height, Norn Mesmer.
I’m waiting for someone to drop in any minute and complain about the rewards from the chest.
Here you go. 15 gold and you can have your kite if you have the achievement points
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=15rSbeG-oA8&feature=youtu.be
If anything, BoFW exclusive content just give people a huge confident boost to their jumping skill, it doesn’t really teach much of actual JPs(jump boost and lightning pull is way too OP).
I wouldn’t say jump boost and lightning pull are OP. They are special skills you need to do the events in the Bazaar. You can’t complete them without using them. The traditional jump puzzles you don’t have those skills therefore they don’t offer any benefit.
I was sad too, bought £17 worth of gems on February 20th – I should have waited 9 more days!
I had also already spent another £59 earlier that month. Haven’t spent any more money on gems since Feb.
I suppose the idea is to just buy the smallest amount of gems at least once each month to make sure you always qualify for the gifts, but that is too much like a subscription heh.
I was sad too, bought £17 worth of gems on February 20th – I should have waited 9 more days!
If you bought gems in February you should have gotten the minis when Dragon Bash started as an appreciation gift.
I would not suggest buying gems in hopes of getting appreciation gifts. They may not always give gifts and if you spend gems just so you might get a small gift of appreciation you may end up unhappy. I suggest you buy gems for things you really want and if you get an appreciation gift thats just a bonus.
like i sad … no verbal abuse to players because i say it to situation no player … so i dont break any rule of abusing player like i have in login screen error and its censored and if u have noob in team tell me u dont get angry …. i dont belive
The language policy certainly is in place to prevent verbal abuse but it also encompasses use of adult language. If it turns into a “kitten” when you post it here, a good rule of thumb is to not use it in the game. Also, no I don’t get angry when I have a “noob” in my team. It is a game and I try to help new players as countless others have helped me. By the way, many people consider “noob” as an insult as well.
Being “in rage” does not excuse violating the game’s language policy. Self-control is a good thing, trust me.
The thing that has messed me up is going from the Bazaar to the regular areas and thinking I still had those skills. I use shift for my 1 skill and space to jump. There have been many times when I have run up to a ledge and hit 1 LOL.
One thing on Pickup Completionist: I’ve read that you have to actually hit another player with the skill. So make sure someone’s near you when you hit the key. Make sure to use Grounded whenever — that was my 6th one that I didn’t notice I had for quite a few races.
I don’t recall because it was awhile ago, but I’m pretty sure I just got them and pressed the keys as soon I got them. It could be I hit players on accident but I wasn’t paying attention because I was just running around to each bag to get the skills and use them.
It isn’t a time limited purchase. If you really want it save for it like you would for anything else you want but can’t afford at the moment. You don’t have to have it “right now!” just because it is there. There are a lot of things I would like for my characters that are outside my budget. I wait and save a bit here and there when I can to eventually get it. Hey! Guess what? This applies to real life too, actually much more so.
There are all sorts of easy things you can do to make a few extra coins in very little time. Right now is a great time because you can do a few Sanctum Sprints a day for average of 10s a race and you can sell the loot including the crystals you get. Do the two jump puzzles in LA for drops you can sell (this should take no more than 15 min). Clean out your bank of stuff you have been keeping but realize you don’t need anymore. Sell those stacks of low level mats that have been taking up space. Sell some old video games you never play anymore and buy gems to convert to gold. Be creative and find a way to spend a small portion of your game time for extra coin.
Good luck and I’m sure once you reach your goal it will feel much more rewarding. I’m still saving for mine as well. However, I’m at a larger disadvantage because I’m in my own guild by myself and I have to wait to build up influence to buy the upgrades that will allow me to buy the guild kite.
So ? any one ? what are they ?
I did my best to map out the path of least resistance in my first post as far as minimizing jumping puzzles.
Best Dive Ever and Lessons from the Sky I consider sort of jumping puzzles but not like the permanent ones. Best Dive Ever almost always has a Mesmer offering to do a portal or if you ask you can usually get help. That achievement and Lessons from the Sky require only a few jumps at most. The rest is knowing where to aim the lightning pull and taking time to walk across narrow beams. It will take some time to do but if you use the Dulfy guide I linked to it will walk you through it.
Once you get the hang of aiming lightning pull and the power jumping it goes much faster after you do a few of them. As I also mentioned, use the guide and keep track of the ones you have done so you can take a break if you need to. Also some of them are grouped together and are easier to do in sequence. Dulfy guide tells you about those as well so you can maximize your effort.
Poor Man’s Kite (JP i think)
That one is a freebie. Run in a cave past a couple of mobs to the kite and it’s done.
Many of the jumping puzzles suggested in this thread are pretty easy and or if you are there at the right time there are Mesmers porting. I would suggest you look for this sooner than later as the more people completing them the less Mesmers will be offering ports, at least for free.
3 of the 5 Sprint achievements are easy because they do not require winning at all. Finish 25 times is easy just take your time as there is plenty of time on the clock and you get Crowd Favorite. Crystal Obsessed you should be able to complete doing your 25 races, just run into all the blue crystals. Pickup Completionist you should also be able to do easily in your 25 races. Just run into every bag you see and use the skill in each slot even if you don’t need it. So that’s 3 achievements you can complete in 25 races. You will probably be surprised and get a 3rd place finish as well.
I don’t consider the Sprint a jumping puzzle because mostly you just use the special skills that you acquire and practice with as you make your way up from the enter waypoint to the Zephyr where the race is.
Trust me I hate jumping puzzles as well and avoid them as much as possible. I thought this event was going to be one I would have to write off. However, after getting started with it I realized it wasn’t as bad as I thought. Sure you probably are not going to get it done in a day. If you take some time to work toward it, keep your eyes out for people offering portals and such it may work out. If you just give up because you hate jump puzzles and don’t try some of the achievements before deciding if it is too hard then yes you will not get your 16/16.
Anyway I hope you at least give it a try as most of it isn’t what I would consider a traditional jumping puzzle. Also here is tip for doing the Dive and Lessons from they sky. Use the Dulfy guide and pay attention to the screen shots as they show you almost exactly where you need to aim the lightning pull reticle. If it seems a little off my rule of thumb is if you are pointing it where two poles cross tied together with a rope aim the pointer just above the knot.
Unfortunately these days when you use the word sacrifice people run away in masses. Especially when you talking about sacrificing personal interest, ego and grandiosity.
When someone uses cursing in their post the filter changes it to “kitten”.
Sometimes certain words that are not meant to get filtered do as well.
Hello, I’m sorry to hear about the misfortune of your friend. However, it is against forum rules to “call-out” other players by using their game names and or username. You should probably remove all of the game and usernames from your post.
As this is your friend’s predicament your friend should be the one seeking support. You may want to encourage your friend to submit a support ticket to see if he can get any assistance with the problem.

“Ask A Question”
I hope things get worked out.
(edited by JustTrogdor.7892)
I don’t think they are but if they do I think it would be cool if it was tiered. 5 first place wins and you move to the next bracket, 10 the next and so forth. That way people of various levels would be competing against those with the same basic knowledge of the game.
12 people, 1st place 1g everybody else 5s, reduce timer by 2 minutes
gogo
1 gold for getting the first fake power-up? LOL I’d be rich.
I believe your ideas belong in the suggestions form. This forum is for account support.
Kite in the night was easier to me than the other two jp’s mentioned. If you watch the video its pretty easy to get to and if you luck out and other people are there the door may already be open.
I tried that one the other day and it was bugged on Tarnished Coast for some reason, so I didn’t mention it. True if the door is open then it’s a good option.
These are basically freebies:
Strangers from the Sky
Voyage to the Bazaar
Diverse Trader
Ascend to Zephyr Sanctum
Kookoochoo the Incredulous
Sanctum Sprint – Find the Aspect Master
So that should get your total to 7
Best Dive Ever – is not too difficult once you get used to the skills. I found it fun. Also Mesmers are often around offering help. Just don’t jump off before you get the goggles. I have seen two people do this LOL.
(8)
Crystal Obsessed – do the race enough to collect 500 crystals. Only a few races
(9)
Crowd Favorite – race 25 times. That will also earn you about 2.5 gold, some loot and some karma. As well as a rare chance for a catcher to drop.
(10) * Note you will also get Frequent Sprinter during this. This is an infinite achievement and does not count toward the 16. You will get a loot bag for every 15 races you do though.
Pickup Completionist – In race use all the skills. This one is easy. Just collect them during the race and use them once. You can do this in one race without having to worry about winning.
(11)
Speedy Sprinter – Place at least 3rd. A little practice and you should be able to do this. If you do well and get 1st then it will give you this achievement and Sanctum Sprinter
(12) if you just place 3rd or 2nd (13) if you finish first.
Sanctum Sprinter – See above. You also get a title.
(13)
Poor Man’s Kite – Easy kite to find in Queensdale
(14)
Like Clockwork – Convert crystals in to charged one 8 times. It takes 25 and you can only do it once a day. So it will take you 8 days (I’m not sure when the event ends so you may be out of time. Do it anyway for the charged crystals). Go to a place of power with your crystals and use it. The one in Queensdale by the garrison is easiest.
(15)
Now it gets more tricky based on your level and play style.
Lessons from the Sky – Time consuming, fun and frustrating at the same time. I suggest the Dulfy guide. Make sure if you use a guide that you make a list of the ones you have done so you don’t get confused and go back to the same places. Once you are zipping around in all those beams, after time they all look the same LOL. Also to save money use the lowest level alt you have because you will probably die A LOT from falling. WP fees can rack up fast at higher levels. Your armor will not get damaged from falls.
Kites over Caledon – A jump puzzle in Caledon Forest, not too hard.
Kite Bombing – This one is pretty easy IMO if you already know where the puzzle is. A Dulfy Guide will walk you right through it.
The others are also JPs as well and IMO are the more difficult ones. However a few of those and you should be set. If you are having trouble getting 1st in the race then the two I listed above should do it. Also I have seen a lot of Mesmers at the others offering ports as well.
Hope this helps.
Also note that these two do not count toward the 16 needed, but if you are like me you will do them once you get the others done because it’s a game and fun to play.
Speedy Reader
Cleaning up the Neighborhood
If you need a boost and want to use a guide this will help you a lot. http://dulfy.net/2013/07/07/bazaar-of-the-four-winds-achievement-guide/
