Sounds like you accidentally selected the wrong one before hitting accept. Perhaps in your browsing you didn’t click the one you actually wanted but the sword instead. To my knowledge there is no trader. On the other hand the skin can be used as many times as you want. So if other alts that use sword it will come in handy I suppose.

That’s pretty cool. It took me 3 hours to get to the dive achievement. I think I’ll just look at your pictures to see the rest.

It sounds like zenith GS might be a good option because you can use it on three of your alts. I think it looks pretty nice too.

That’s strange. I haven’t missed a daily in weeks. I’m not sure how I missed an achievement chest. I guess I must have, though.

It depends on when you do your daily. The patch went live yesterday early afternoon. The 100 chest was given out to those that logged in after the patch. At reset 8PM EST the 500 chest was awarded to those that already got the 100 before reset. Then today after reset again at 8PM EST the 1000 chest was awarded to those that got the first 2.

It sounds like you must have gotten the 100 chest after reset yesterday, the 500 chest after reset today. In the same way you can do your daily after 8PM reset and then have to wait until reset the next day to do it again. I hope that makes sense.

It was a 500 achievement one. I opened the 100 one last night, the 500 one just now. I see a 1000 one on my UI screen, but I can’t seem to access it any way.

You get one per day so you will get the 1000 one tomorrow since you just opened the 500 one today.

I spent about 3 hours trying to get the dive achievement. I don’t like guides and only looked at one to get a general idea where to go. After at least 30 deaths from falling I joked in chat that the achievement was making me go broke. A Mesmer offered to port me and I politely declined. When I finally got to the end there he was setting up a port for other people. I waved, thanked him for offering to help, and watched as the others ported in and took the dive. One guy jumped off without the goggles LOL.

When they were all done I walked toward the goggles and fell off by by accident. I finally got it and had a lot of fun doing it. It felt better having figured it out and accomplishing it on my own.

Now I don’t know about these other puzzles yet. I’m terrible at such things and looking over the achievements I have left to do I think I may be SOL, haha. Then again maybe I’ll remember a few of you Mesmers from this thread and look you up

Yes I like them a lot. It took me forever to decide which one to get. Looking back on it as a alt aholic I should have gone with one that can be used by several professions. The longbow is only good for Ranger and Warrior and I don’t think I’ve ever used one on a Warrior. I guess I’ll have to now.

I thought it was pretty clear. It showed a list and said choose one. Then you had to click the button after you choose the one you want.

I’m out of the loop here. How does that work? Do you go some place to get more of the same one you picked?

Press H. Click on achievement tab. Select the skin. Click Withdraw as many times as you want depending on how many copies of the skin you want.

There is no restriction on how many you get per day. It is like the HoM stuff just more convenient since you can withdraw from anywhere.

Thanks! I probably should have gone with something else then. I got the longbow for my main Ranger. There are other weapons I use more often on my alts. Oh well at least I have it as much as I want. I’m pleased.

They usually state they cannot reverse player error. I’ve seen people post here with making mistakes like getting two unique ascended items. I’m probably a bit rude here but what happened to allow you to make the mistake? Were you just in a hurry?

I find that a bit odd. The main meaning of the name means a type of non-contact football game. I really don’t see it as an issue just because some nimrod turned it into something dirty in a song. I mean come one here, my gym teacher used the term during gym class in elementary school LOL.

I’m usually on the other side of these name change arguments, but that one seems silly.

Edit: I didn’t mean the gym class reference in a shady way either. It was just something the teacher would yell at us when we were playing football and knocking each other down.

I had that problem too. Especially because I’m an alt aholic. I finally went with the longbow because it stands out more than the smaller weapons some of my other alts use. Also it seemed to have the least clipping in the preview.

I am happy with the loot. Some more boosters, a super fun box, some of those whatever stones, some blue prints, and more PvP gear. I’ll probably end up just salvaging the PvP gear though.

Reset has been 8 EST since I have been playing (3 months).

I’m not sure what is in it yet but I imagine it will hit soon. So I thought I’d go ahead and make a thread for people to talk about it, complain about it, or express satisfaction.

I’ll never get this achievement unless I try in the middle of the night and get lucky to race myself. I’m terrible at such things. 5 races 5 last places. So bad I never even finished and got kicked for taking too much time. LOL

To clarify, if you place it on your “crappy” armor and you want to put the skin on better armor later on you can do so by using a transmutation stone. When you use the stone you can select the appearance of the “crappy” armor that is skinned with the stats of the better armor.

Yes it is one retroactive award chest per day. So the 1000 chest will be given out on day three.

No because the word “kitten” is not a word that would be filtered. Circumventing the filter involves things like using special characters to replace one letter in a blocked word, spacing the characters out, and so forth.

How many chests have you opened? First chest is for 100 points, second is 500, it was with the 500 chest that I got the Pvp gear. The 100 chest gave those boosters.

Btw that’s not truely correct either as the actual chests with the real rewards in them pop up on the side of the screen much like daily chests do. These other chests that had the boosters and pvp items are sort of bonus chests that we have to open from our inventories.

That’s it. I didn’t look at the other item for the gear in my inventory closely. I didn’t double click it because I was afraid of what might happen.

I think the PvP stuff came from the 500 chest. I don’t think the 1000 chest has been awarded yet. The PvP gear from what I know you can store in a PvP locker and then it will be soulbound to what ever character you use to take it out. Also you can use a PvP salvage kit if you want on them.

It resets for me at 8:00 EST. I got my 100 chest right after the update went live and my 500 chest right after I logged in at 8:00 PM. I think I read some place that the chest times may vary depending on your time zone.

I hate jump puzzles. I’m terrible at them for several reasons. About the only ones I can do on a regular basis are the ones in LA. Even then I manage to die about 25% of the time in the pirate one LOL.

I wonder if the idea is that jump puzzles are something everyone can do without having to group up or be maxed out on level and gear? Unfortunately it sounds like I won’t be completing this meta if it is a giant jump puzzle. I was looking forward to getting that node in my home instance too. Oh well.

I only got a Legendary, Atherblade armor skins for each armor type, 5 jade tickets, and a copper ore. I sure hope tomorrow’s award is better.

I don’t remember useing them. I just remember purchasing them and putting them in the bank for later. I did just delete the toon I used to buy and place them in the bank.

The only thing I can think of is that you must have equipped them on the character you deleted. I have purchased many of these tools and never had the problem you describe. If you are sure you didn’t equip them on the deleted alt and that it is a bug you should submit a support ticket:

It states they are soul bound on use in the gem store description. I do agree it would be nice if they were account bound though. I have 9 alts so it gets pretty pricey.

Good god this achievement thing is horrible. Just got a bunch of random low level gathering stuff and some boosts dumped in my bag taking up space with no warning, and will have to wait tomorrow to pick up my reward for 500 points when I am currently sitting on 5500 points.

The only thing I see here that is worthwhile is the achievement point system.
I’ll be logging in to check out the rewards and them promptly logging out as there is still, nothing to do in this game.

So why even bother doing that? I never get these posts about logging in for the sake of logging in and then back out. Seems like a waste of a few minutes to me.

I play mostly alone aside from stopping to help new players or someone else I see in a tough spot. I have my own guild, just me and a bank that took forever to get because slow influence gain.

I get tired of trying to follow chat a lot especially when it is just random topics. My guild chat channel is pretty cool though. The smartest person I know is always there.

Actually no. I don’t bother reading all caps because I find it a silly way for someone to try to make a point. I don’t even know what your post said. I just quoted it to make my point about all caps. Goal achieved.

Fun. I have only watched a couple of videos and they were to find that last POI I could not figure out how to get to. I have read a few build guides but mostly to get an idea of what potential my characters could have.

I like figuring things out on my own and exploring. I do have some problems with the personal story because my memory is shot. Wait what was I talking about? Oh yeah, my memory makes it hard for me to keep track of the actual story if I don’t do each event one after another.

I’m taking my good old time that is for sure. Over three months in game and I have barely touched most of the map. I think I’m at 28% completion or something like that. I don’t have a level 80 but 9 alts from all professions.

One thing I like about the game is that I can just logout if I start to get frustrated at a certain point and not have to worry about really losing out on much. I never feel forced to continue on when I am getting burned out. Plus there are tons of other things I can do outside of what might be causing me frustration until I’m ready to reset. I’m talking to you helpless ambient creatures.
