I just completed the achievement to get the crystal node in my home town but I cant seem to find it. (The grove and ive checked all 4 leels of the kitten place!!)

Do i need to wait for the next reset for it to appear? or am i missing something?

You shouldn’t. If you are having problems finding it in The Grove it should be available for all your characters’ home instances. So if you have another race available try that. The Norn one is easy, it’ right by a WP in the lodge.

My friend, you’ve been missing out on something very essential for this game. The PvP locker allows you to preview all armor/weapons availible in-game. Meaning you can mix/match gear to see how they would look without having to google for game tags.

First thing I do when something new gets released is to go straight to the PvP locker and start seeing if it looks cool with other stuff.

Wow I didn’t know about that either. I’m glad you shared that so I can take a look. Now if I could only find this mysterious land called PvP.

I got the sun catcher on a drop from finishing 10th in a race. I didn’t even know I could sell it. I thought it was account bound. I like it so I would not have sold it anyway.

Good that you shared this info though. I don’t think some people know they can drop from the race because it doesn’t happen very often.

As far as buying something just because it is more rare, that is a player preference. I tend to stick with stuff because I like it. I have a mix and match of medium Atherblade and Kryton armor skins on my male Norn Thief and really like the way it looks. It isn’t rare but I will probably just keep transmuting the appearance onto future gear.

I got one for a 10th place finish.

Someone uses my real life nickname. I would be willing to bet I have had that nickname longer than they have if it is their’s in real life too. All my friends have been calling me that for over 25 years.

I’m gonna send that player an in game mail and demand they buy a name change contract and change it so I can use it on my character. If that doesn’t work then I guess I’ll be forced to submit a support ticket.

I would think the email address you posted from the sender should have been a dead give away. I seriously doubt Anet uses Gmail to contact customers.

I wonder if anyone even uses the fortunes for the buffs? At the end of the day I had a stack of 30 some and just opened them all for the scraps. Then I logged off because I wasn’t in a place where the short term buffs would matter anyway.

Can you not use the passwords you want due to character requirements for a password? Keep in mind these requirements are in place to protect people from having their accounts compromised. If you follow this forum then you will see that is not a rare occurrence.

I keep a small book with all my passwords for quick reference. I made a rather unique password for GW2 and after logging in several times I remembered it with no problems. If you decide to let a password requirement keep you from playing I guess that’s your prerogative.

I look at it as part of the penalty for falling. It could be worse. It could just kill you when you fall and disqualify you from the race.

I used to fall a lot when I started playing the race. After a few races I learned where I was most likely to fall and avoided it. I almost never fall anymore unless I get a little too excited and mash a wrong key or something.

Technically yes but it depends on the timing of the player in relation to the reset times. If someone logged on in the morning and gets say the 500 chest then plays through the evening rest they get the 1000 chest. If they then log off and play again in the morning before the evening reset they won’t get 1500 till evening reset and so forth.

I think the reset times is what is causing some people confusion. Some people think the game day is real time where they live, changes after midnight real time. However the game day resets are in the evening the same day. At least on NA servers.

As far as I know there have been no announcements about having another free trial period.

Perhaps they could buy the digital download on Amazon. I think it is like $35.00 So even if they only play like 20 hours total it is a decent price for the entertainment.

I’ve never once had a problem with WP and money. I WP constantly due to excessive death. I don’t want to try and even total up the cost of doing the dive achievement and sky crystals. I just keep a small emergency fund.

Tip for later. Run the sprint race a few times and you will get plenty of WP money plus loot for more money if you sell it. Now is the time to build up that WP fund before the event is over.

Why add an extra task for support to deal with just because someone has a name someone else wants? They would probably just reply that they won’t do anything anyway.

It probably has something to do with the timing of the resets. You probably are due for it after today’s reset. Perhaps you got the last one right after reset last night?

@OP FYI what you are doing is technically not allowed. It might be a good idea to modify your post. Just saying.

Did you make sure your mailbox is not full? If it is full you won’t get the mail with the item in it until you delete some old mails.

You will need to get 16 of the meta achievements before it is over, I think in a few weeks, not sure.

The node is kind of important aside from you can only harvest it once a day. Given that, it would take a long time to harvest enough to craft the items. Also you will need the recipes but you can buy them off the TP. Some are pretty pricey right now and will probably go up after the event ends.

Those special skills from the game and from the Bazaar map have me all messed up now. I use space for jump normally and more than a few times in the rest of the world I have found my demise by running to a jump and hitting 1 instead LOL.

Too add, when aiming the lightning pull at a target where it is some poles with rope around them (usually a point where two poles meet), try to center the target just above the knot on the rope. Often if you aim lower you bounce off and fall and if you aim higher you fly past and fall. It is a pretty small target area so take a few seconds to adjust aim. The spot just above the knot seemed to almost always work for me.

This is the first item of the kind I have ever gotten from a drop, ever (well ever is really only 3 months since I started playing). So I was pretty happy. I’ll probably end up buying the other two with fortune scraps. That, or keep trying to finish 10th in races. I’ll never get 1st place anyway. By some act of magic I finally managed to get my top 3 finish today. I think I got lucky and ended up playing against a bunch people new to the game.

I sent this person in map chat some gold for an item and never got the item in the mail. He swore he sent it. His name was Scammer the Spammer. Before the deal I asked him about his name and he said it was Lithuanian for Very Honest. Mail must have been glitched for sure. He told me 10 times he sent it before blocking me for asking him about it so much. Oh well it was only 540 gold.

A kite mini would be cool but holly mackerel you want that kite mini to do a lot of things.

I looked those up after getting mine because I had never heard of them. They do look nice as well, good design. Perhaps I will get those too since I constantly fail at the race haha.

I don’t think the 2500 chest dropped yet did it? I think the 2000 was today (last reset). I could be wrong because I only have 1600 pts and only got the 1500 chest (before reset today) so I won’t get more for a while.

I didn’t even know about this item because I don’t do much research on such things. After looking it up I did notice you can buy it with fortune scraps. However, I got lucky and got it from a Sprint race chest. I finished 10th too. Haha being terrible at the race finally paid off.

I like it though it looks really nice. Thanks for adding a nice back item that doesn’t look like a teddy bear.

I hate jump puzzles and I am terrible at them. However, for some reason I had a good time doing the sky crystals even though it took me over 5 hours LOL. I think it was because of the new skills needed to do them, figuring out exactly where to aim the lightning pull and so forth. I think the fact that I didn’t take armor damages from falling over 100 times made me like it better.

Plus I racked up a ton of XP jumping in on all the Champion spawns for my level 20ish thief.

I still need to get some of those kites to finish the meta but I think someone that is good at jump puzzles is going to help me, with their Mesmer.

Although probably much more extreem in your case I can feel your pain. I used to moderate a very popular message board and would get PMs non-stop from people about all sorts of random stuff, LOL.

Sadly, like many messages here, I don’t think a lot people will read your post before sending a PM. I hope it cuts back on some of them though. By the way I just sent you a PM. Could you please read it and get back to me ASAP?

If you haven’t already, I suggest doing the kites! You wouldn’t even need to touch the Fractals or WvW one (7 kites total) to get the total of 16. If you are having trouble jumping, there will probably be a mesmer around to help.

I got 1 kite, the freebie in Queensdale. I was looking into the others but they all seem to be in jump puzzles some place. I don’t think I have even been to the areas they are in LOL.

I’ll need 2 or 3 more kites to get the achievement done I think. Guess I’ll have to look at some maps and run for my life. Do the jump puzzles for getting the kites involve agressive mobs as well?

It seems like most people are having trouble getting to their home instances because they do not know where they are. A nice addition would be a Waypoint right to it.

I’ve gotten 4 chests so far. I don’t know if you got some odd ones myself and others didn’t get but I didn’t get just PvP or WvW stuff. Would you have rather gotten an empty one instead?

It’s a game so technically everything you do in game is considered playing.

From what I have read in similar threads it may get you in trouble. One key or button press can only = 1 action. By pressing a key once that makes the key click over and over may cause problems. I’ve seen others ask about doing similar with a mouse button macro and one person even wanted to make a mechanical finger, LOL. I don’t recall what how the later turned out though.

I decided I should put more game time into this meta event to try and get the node reward. How important is it going to be to have it? It seems like since it is a resource node it would be a huge advantage to have one.

I don’t think I’m going to be able to finish the meta because of time and the fact that I’m just terrible at the game. Jump puzzles, haha more like death puzzles for me. Will I really need the darn thing for much in the future anyway? Also when does the event end?

I didn’t even know there was a home instance until all this talk about the node from the meta. I went to mine for the first time yesterday and the only thing in there was a NPC of my ex-girlfriend complaining I need to clean the place up.

Most of the time I don’t finish at all.

Is the name you signed your post with “Dix” part of your character name? I understand differences in language may cause problems with names at times. If that is in your name, in English it can read as a name for a part of the male body. That may be the problem.

As far as the ask a question problem, try closing and reopening your browser and if that doesn’t work try cleaning out your browser cache to see if that helps.

2. Countless times I have been revived in PvE by random players in the area.

I am trying so hard to like my Warrior, Guardian and Engineer but they are so darn slow without having to dump points into traits and such and having to spam swiftness just to travel faster. So I’m sticking with the ones that have a 25% swiftness skill because I feel like being able to travel faster decreases the time it takes me to level.

So for me so far Ranger, Thief, Elementalist. I just started a new Thief and as I am much better at the game now than I was, I have been leveling him pretty fast.

- Yesterday I was at the top of the new dive achievement and saw a Mesmer portal a guy up. The guy must have gotten too excited because he ran and jumped off without the goggles.

- Today I walked a guy through it and he did the same thing. LOL

Accumulated achievement points to date work like this:

1. Before patch – you get nothing
2. After patch – you get something

I’ll take 2 thank you.

The chests are like a little bit of everything for each aspect of the game. I don’t mind because I wasn’t expecting the chest to give out only things I really want. They can’t read my mind.
