It would be kind of funny if players that were blocked by large numbers of people were more likely to end up on the same server together. It would be just a bunch of trolls and gold sellers at some point. Haha.
However, that would open the path to griefing as well because people could gang up on someone and mass block them just to troll the person. Still a bunch of people that don’t know how to function in a community stuck together would be funny.
I want to know why I can’t write off my donations from the Donation Drive during Winter’s Day.

Gem prices in USD ($) do not include Sales Tax. This is added at the time of gem purchase depending on the State of residence.
Gem prices in EURO (€) already include 20% VAT.
Ah ha! That was why it didn’t show, I had to take them off equip state and put them in my inventory. Thank you for that.
I had talked to every single one of these guys in all the starter cities and none of them showed the option. Thanks again for pointing me in the correct direction.
You’re very welcome.
You can do it in DR by the TP. You have to have them in inventory and not equipped to do so.
Why do people hate mounts ? Mounts are cool.
This person summed up my opinion on mounts nicely in the thread that was closed:
Chameleon Dude.1564:The game is already a complete cluster-kitten of max size characters, giant, spiky armour, glowing greatswords and special effects. We don’t need them riding horses, sparkly unicorns or even some sort of mechanized, steampunk hippopotamus that radiates a green cloud full of carrots out of its nostrils.
I agree and the reason I don’t want mounts is purely due to aesthetics. I don’t want more unnecessary screen clutter and personally I think mounts look kind of lame so I’d rather not see them everywhere I go. So I disagree with you, I don’t think mounts are cool.
Yesterday was duels so today we were due for yet another mount thread. I suppose race change will be tomorrow. I’m starting to wonder if it is some guild that plans this just to troll the forums. LOL
OP if you read up on all the countless threads maybe you should have posted in the most recent of those instead of starting yet another thread.
Oh and I agree with Chameleon Dude. The reason I don’t want mounts is purely due to aesthetics. I don’t want more unnecessary screen clutter and personally I think mounts look kind of lame so I’d rather not see them everywhere I go.

Turn off auto targeting and you won’t hit ambients.
Meh, I don’t have any use for the 100s of Mystery Tonics I have gotten from BLTC chests, etc. either. Or many of the boosters. I’ve never used the Make-over kits. Etc., etc.
I think one just takes a chance on chests, that they may or may not have something useful….or useless to us.
Well the trait resets are still useful until the 15th. Those that have them should use them up if you have them.
did you send a support ticket?
try that and explain your situation to them.
No, don’t submit a ticket.
This is what Gaile posted in the account forum regarding the April 15th issues:
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/support/account/Duplicate-unused-premium-armor-skins/first#post3811729
You can submit questions about the Feature Build after it goes live on April 15th. In the meantime, watch for more information via our Knowledge Base (search: Wardrobe) and blog posts.
Everyone: Please do not submit tickets or make forum posts about the Feature Build at this time. Customer Support cannot assist with these matters in advance of the build going live.
So in other words, stay tuned for more information and don’t contact support regarding this until the April 15th patch as they cannot help you at this time. Submitting tickets about things related to the Apr 15 patch will just slow down support for those that need it and they can’t help you at this time.
I wonder if having someone on your block list will decrease the likelihood of ending up in the same server as them. There are few players on my server that are constantly trying to disrupt other players and basically be as annoying as possible every time they play. It would be a welcome change if having them on my block list lessened the likelihood I’ll end up on the same server as them.
Imagine those types of players that have been blocked by a bunch of people end up on their own server all the time to cause problems for each other. That would be funny.
So for those of us that have to work and just got home we’re SOL….
Nice.
Yes because Anet has to try to cater to every work schedule for all global players right?
I really wish they brought it back sometime soon. To completely abandon it and never do it again would be very saddening, and I’d feel like I wasted money on my continue coin on a feature that will never be usable again.
I’m sure it will be back at some point. There were worlds in the hub that were closed during the last SAB event which hints at the SAB return.
im sososo very sad
Good news! I just heard from the doctor. You are going to live!
So if it bothers you that much, turn off your ‘TV’ and check back tomorrow. Problem solved.
And who said it was on in the first place? I’m here to give feedback on the “event” and if you don’t like that feel free to close your browser.
Oh I don’t mind reading feedback but I just find all the QQing over having an oversized head for a day funny. In your example you compared it to having the same joke on TV every time you turned it on. I don’t know about you but when I see something on TV I don’t like I turn it off or change the channel and move on. If it bothers you that much change the ‘channel’ for the day, go do something else. Before you know it, the bobblehead issue will be over. Or you can post here about how the April 1 prank has ruined everything and ruined your day. My browser will remain open because all the crying about this and how bobbleheads for one day destroyed GW2 is funny. It is almost an added part of the prank.
(edited by JustTrogdor.7892)
Comedians are funny. People failing are funny. Fat obnoxious heads that jiggle around like cow udders can also be funny but not when we’re forced to see them no matter where we look for the whole day. It’s like listening to the same comedian telling the same joke in a loop for 24 hours whenever I turn on my TV…
So if it bothers you that much, turn off your ‘TV’ and check back tomorrow. Problem solved.
SAB actually did make me a bit nauseous if I played it for extended periods of time but then again a lot of the old 8 bit games did as well when I was growing up. Some of them used to come with warnings for seizures and such. With the bobbleheads, I hardly noticed it because, well I was running dungeons and such and paying more attention to what I was doing than my oversized head.
(edited by Moderator)
how much longer is the bobblehead thing gonna go on for?
i understand that some people like it,
i laughed for awhile but got bored and am looking forward to normal looks again.
It will be over April 2nd. It is an April fools prank, a 1 day thing.
Here is something that might help some of you. Not long after you stop complaining about it and demanding some way to toggle it off your horrible nightmare of bobbleheads will be over. It is a done deal, a prank. You can demand this and that all you want and even threaten to go play ESO. Go get something to eat, take a walk, call some friends, read that book you got for Christmas, do anything you can think of, and before you know it the ‘bobblehead horror’ as you know it will be gone. You will wake up tomorrow and your GW2 world will be back in order, your nightmare over.
(edited by JustTrogdor.7892)
Ty Anet for this bobble crap you just made the dungeons unplayable i just stop playing till heads are normal again.
That’s funny, I just ran CoF 1, AC 1 and 2 and it was very playable. I didn’t get kicked for having a bobblehead or anything. But in your case, a day off is probably a good idea.
I love how mad some people are getting over this.
Classic, thanks for the laughs ANet.
Yeah part of the humor of this for me is watching people blow their wigs acting like a 1 day thing is the end of GW2.
It has been rather funny watching map chat as well and see people say things like, “Umm.. Something is wrong with my head. Is this a bug?”

I will check in every couple of days if and when characters go back to normal I will start playing again
That is most likely going to happen tomorrow. Enjoy your day off.
Lame joke, unimaginative, not funny, and took the least amount of effort to implement. If I wanted an MMO to look like this I would be playing one that had Pandas in it. I wish I could disable it, since I can’t, I just won’t play.
Ciao
Good idea, if you can’t deal with it then you are making the right choice to not play today. Others need to follow your lead and stop acting like it is the end of GW2 as we know it.
(edited by JustTrogdor.7892)
what a crappy idea. total dislike. dont like it. i see the joke, but a forced joke upon us is foolish not funny.
ESO starts to get more and more attractive.
“ESO starts to get more and more attractive.” I like how people are throwing around this type of statement now. Especially over something so minor that last all of one day. It reminds me of a little kids, “Mom, if you don’t buy me that toy I won’t love you anymore!”
I think you will somehow be able to bear it though.
Good thing April fools wasn’t my call. I would have set it up so everyone’s first drop on the 1st would be a precursor. The kicker is that it is secretly a fake precursor. When the player tries to equip it, trade it on the TP, bank it, or use it to forge a legendary it would explode, damage all your armor and then turn you into a bobblehead.
My Mesmer has that, “You just said what?” look.
Then of course there are some creepy creatures with bobbleheads lurking about too.
I think it is funny and since it is probably just for a day it seem harmless enough. I just wish I had not seen the threads here about it first so I would have been surprised. The giant head works with endless tonics too.
Here you go a dev post from one week ago:
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/pvp/pvp/Why-is-there-STILL-no-dueling/first#post3804703
Simplest answer I can give is that it just isn’t as high a priority as other things we have been working on.
Why do you feel custom arenas do not work for those that want to duel?
And this is a dev post saying he is reconsidering the priority.
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/pvp/pvp/Why-is-there-STILL-no-dueling/first#post3805002
Just quoting what he said regarding the priority of dueling. Also he didn’t say he would reconsider. He asked if people thought it should be higher priority than other changes. From your link:
You guys are making some really good points, thanks.
Do you guys think this should be a higher priority than other changes? Why?
Oh right, he didn’t say he will reconsider. He is reconsidering.
What in this says he is reconsidering?
You guys are making some really good points, thanks.
Do you guys think this should be a higher priority than other changes? Why?
He stated there are some good points and then asked why you think it should be a priority, not “I’m reconsidering this convince me.” Not to mention the fact that he left the thread after asking such without responding,. That might speak to some degree that he wasn’t convinced to reconsider the priority.
Anyway, I’m sick of these dueling threads. People seem to treat them like PvP forum mode. You all can argue your teeth out and it probably won’t make a difference because it has been hashed over 100s of times. It is a waste of time.

Dungeon running is another way to make easy loot. You need a lvl 60 warrior or guardian, this is your dungeon runner because he will be invited into speed runs faster than any other class.
My Mesmer says hello. Warriors and Guardians are a dime a dozen. My Mesmer gets a lot of love for Time Warp, Feedback, Temporal Curtain, Mass Invis, and added bonus Portal. In many dungeons those skills are necessary for speed runs.
As for the rest of your post, I found it entertaining to some degree.
You know, I thought about putting mesmer in there but there are alot of complaints on the mesmer forum about mesmer pve damage. That and the mesmer takes a higher level of effort to play.
It makes a worthy mention along with thief to portal/stealth skip content, but that alone doesn’t guarantee you a spot in a group.
Well, I’ve never been turned down. My point is Warriors and Guardians are all over the place. A standard pug usually has a few Warriors and Guards. If you want to stand out Mesmer is the way to go. Yes it takes more skill but once a Mesmer learns where and when to use their tricks in dungeons they are very valuable and highly sought after. The end result is a Mesmer can be a key factor in speed runs. I don’t even know how many pugs I have joined to see in chat, “Oh good we have a Mesmer!”

So sorry if this is a common question or if this has popped up, but I’m really confused as to whether this new feature pack will cost me money or not? It seems to not have brought up at all. is this just a big patch, or will it require me to like any other expansion pack pay in cash?
Thanks in advance
Anet is adding new features, not new content. These features such as the wardrobe and so forth are part of it. You will not have to buy an ‘expansion’ or anything like that. The new features are available to you at no cost.
I was afraid that farming the gold would be the answer. Having to use gold isn’t a huge issue to me but I like to farm mats when I can. I imagine those loadstones have to come from some place, and CoF isn’t exactly flowing with them for me, so I thought there might be a group of mobs some place that dropped them. Thanks all for the info.
Go to Queensdale(human starting zone), unlock waypoints there, then join the champ train.
Alternatively, depend on which server you on, WvW can be a good place to level. (Not right now, since there is a tournament going on, and you will end up being food to the 80s.)
The OP is a new player and I highly discourage him from leveling his first 80 via the champ train. Aside from the occasionally fun conversation within the train it is boring he will miss out on a lot.
I agree with IC. He should enjoy his first leveling experience by exploring, doing the hearts, harvesting as he explores, and all the other things that come with map exploration. It really doesn’t take that long to level because almost everything you do aside from standing around in main cities awards exp.
April Feature Pack: Will we see any updates?

It looks like we might hear something official this week. This was in response to the OP asking in another thread about the Mac client.
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/gw2/How-to-raise-your-feedback-chance/first#post3838413
I wanted to follow up with you on this one, as I feel it is important. We will have an update for you later this week, and you’ll see it in the Mac Client Beta sub-forum. I know y’all would love info sooner, but we’re pulling lots of info together so we can give you a proper status update. Thanks for your patience!
T Stones will convert 3 = 1 charge.
T Crystals will convert 1 = 1 charge.
Charges will be used to ‘transmute’ appearances.
Is there an area where these can be farmed at all? I’ve been running CoF and on a good run I might get two Molten Cores but no loadstones. Or am I just going to have to deal with farming the gold to buy them?
Thanks.
I never use dungeon specific sigils and have never been excluded from a group due to that. In fact no one has ever even asked me about my weapon sigils. I use potions and such though that give bonuses related to the dungeon mobs.
Well there has to be some compromise. With the new system Anet will be selling less sets of gem store armor and weapon skins because people won’t need multiple sets for alts. The new system is a middle ground. Also it is great for those one time event skins and other hard to come by skins/items because now we can use them on alts without having to transmute them back and forth. I think the new system is more fashion friendly.
(edited by JustTrogdor.7892)
So i fail to see the point of where the price is going to go up for fashion. If your changeing your armor appearance alot atm like everytime you need a new outfit. your already spending way more than you will. Because you will consume both the gear and the stone.
The only place where the price goes up, is for sub lvl80 characters. You now pay one stone for one armour piece as long as the armour pieces are below lvl80 (both of them). In the new system, 1 charge will be 3 stones and they didn’t say anything about sub lvl80 transmutations… So, as far as we know now, the price will go up…
But once you’re lvl80, you’re absolutely correct. In fact, the price, on average, will even go down, as you don’t need to buy the second item you will use for the looks (especially if you re-use looks).
And if you are transferring a soulbound skin from one alt to another you will no longer need to transmute it on a white item first and then transmute it again. That is a huge bonus and includes more savings.
There is indeed hope:
Before: zero competition —> zero effort on improving GW2
Now: competition on the horizon --> all sorts of features and fixesfor GW2’s sake, I hope the competition does well.
You do understand that all these ‘features and fixes’ were probably months and months in the making don’t you? Or do you think that Anet is blind and suddenly realized ,“Hey TESO/ other MMO is here let’s work 24/7 to catch up!” If you think the later, well, I guess you don’t understand how long it takes to make updates like we are seeing now. If you think Anet wasn’t aware of other MMOs on the horizon and what they had planned over a year ago then I don’t know what to tell you.
(edited by JustTrogdor.7892)
No there will not be an exodus. People that enjoy GW2 will stay. Most of the new features so far are great for those that enjoy GW2 and are QOL updates. People that don’t enjoy GW2 will continue to post here because they feel like it is their mission to trash the game. These are the people that, as much as I hate to say it, GW2 is not for them and they should explore other options. But they will still post here and scream their hate for the game. Because why not? I suppose they feel they will encourage others to hate the game too. Really I don’t get it. It seems like they are just wasting their time to me when they could be off enjoying whatever game it is they enjoy.
(edited by JustTrogdor.7892)
They’re always goihg to be adding to the game and changing things up. It’s what Anet has always done. Even fairly major changes in GW 1 like adding the hero system, and new PvP types.
I’d like to offer the correction that adding and changing the game is what ALL MMO developers have always done. They pretty much have to if they want to retain player interest.
Yes, and the funny thing I see with these “too late posts” is that Anet has been listening to the player base and acted on it. These feature patch changes have most likely been months and months in the making. But what do they get in return? “You didn’t listen to us, but well you did, but it is too late now.” I think some people believe that all these new things were just point and click changes made last week by Anet. LOL
(edited by JustTrogdor.7892)
Refunds are usually not put high on the priority list, so other actually issues will come first.
I don’t know about that and you can’t confirm that. The more support requests the more the limited resources of CS have to deal with. If people start spamming CS with, “I bought 3 skins and used them for 6 months but now I want a refund,” it is going to bog down support because even if it isn’t high priority CS still has to do triage which slows them down.
The repair canisters still have use. You can use them in dungeons, fractals, or wherever without having to WP back to a repair merchant. People forget that getting repairs will still mean having to go out of your way to see a merchant. Those canisters allow you to repair in the field without doing so.
Yes, they should offer refunds for everything and then roll back accounts to the point of purchase because the months of having those things were apparently not important.
Exactly. I feel bad for CS come April 15th. They are going to get hit hard with all sorts of crazy stuff and the sad thing is it will slow down the response for those with real CS issues.
