I personnaly don’t want merge.

I play in the 2nd last tier, and we don’t have a lot of people, but that’s how we have fun.

We have good fights, we don’t have queue and we have a good communauty.

Don’t destroy my server by merging it.

Wow BP is like a completly different server now. It’s crazy.

Everything is upgraded, bunch of siege everywhere, map full of players.

I don’t know what kind of population GoM has. But they seems to be of SF caliber, and SF match up was the funniest since release.

We lost, but at least we had some close fight!

Yes, but In real war, I, personnally, would try to avoid a war with E-bay.

If we are to be outplayed, out leveled and outmanned, at least if we could have a little something.

Like I said, if the outmanned buff could lower the price of Siege Weapon and Upgrade. Well not directly like that, since people could abuse it.

Anyway, I wasn’t really replying about remove the gold sink, I was just saying that not all tier has server of the same caliber. Prolly half the match up this week is one-sided. So yeah, gold can be a factor.

The issue isn’t about me, I got a level 80 and I can generate enought money to upgrade and all.

But the general under leveled population won’t. They are taking their time to level and I’m cool with it.

But it also mean they won’t invest in Upgrade/Siege.

Man, I’m sure half of them don’t even know you can buy Siege with badge of honor.

Basically I’m hearing that the lower tier servers have so many under leveled players that many don’t have the resources yet for upgrades and siege. I’m failing to see why that is a problem, or needs to be adjusted game wide. The other servers in those tiers should be roughly in the same boat. It doesn’t matter if you can’t afford upgrades if the servers you face can’t either. And what’s stopping you from leveling your characters?

Like I said earlier, It’s not.

Some tier have huge difference between WvW population. I take my tier as an example because I don’t know the other tier. But AR is stuck a tier were there is always one overwhelming server, and 2 weaker server.

Outmanned buff is permanent for us, and we have a very few hardcore wvw guild. Half our players in WvW are under 80.

Trust me, not many people spend gold on siege. I never saw a Siege Golem once in WvW on AR. (I,m sure we had some Golem, just didn’t see the myself).

So Yeah, I don’t want to remove gold from WvW. But maybe, if the siege/upgrade were cheaper with the outmanned buff.

Or just add a Badge price for upgrade. Badge item doesn’t fit me, so I have nothing else to do with it except siege.

False. Some tier have such a giant difference between the Green and the other team, that you can’t take that in account. E-Bay have a lot more premade and exotic people then AR and BP togheter.

Like I said, I don’t really think it’s such an issue. But it create and ever wider gaps between servers, you can’t say otherwise.

I’m not sure avbout it, But I agree that gold is so important in WvW, and poor server like AR with a lot of PuG don’t have any gold to invest.

Yes that was me, I was the guy with the red name, that you killed in that borderland.

I tried it today in WvW, and it wasn’t a succes.In about 1 hour of WvW, I didn’t get to use Nova once because I died before.

But, damage on fear is just great. @Derk says the damage is pathetic, but with really bad gear and being level 61 in WvW, I do around 500-800 damage on each fear, That’s Free damage on a CC. I really love it.

I abuse fear now, using the staff and switch on DS as soon as I can.

It might be downed state lag, but I didn’t really see my AoE fear work when I was downed? Can anyone confirm that it really work out? Didn’t see any different with or without it. But since I’m not 80 yet and my fear still only last for about 1 sec, it might be the cause.

Sadly, not having a lot of player because of the pve halloween even means that we usually never have any commander or premade guild online.

The 2 last evening I was in EB, I didn’t have my guild with me, and we were running a PuG mini-zerg. It’s a lot of fail when we encounter premade from the same guild. And most people aren’t 80 yet or exotic.

I play sPvp if I want to see skill, because WvW has too many factor that change a fight.

So People Dane.3948 who are prolly clueless about pvp, hiding being the zerg, should go sPvp if they want a good challenge. Roling witht he zerg won’t say anything about our server.

To me it looks more like a Premage guilde spawn camping random pub going out of their spawn.

I don’t see much Zerg here, as they are around the same number as you, maybe a bit more.

But overall, you are spawn camping their borderland (meaning that your server is prolly stomping them), you have the orbs bonus, they seems underleveled if you check the gear and hp, and they are a random bunch of guy. They aren’t even a zerg.

I love the portal attack and all, but I just can’t be impressed by spawn camping with orb bonus.

I’m currently leveling an alt necro and I’m not 80 yet, and I can confirm you that the bunch that aren’t even 80 yet could be the best player ever, the stats difference is just enormous at this state.

So for a Zerg to maybe kill one single player, they have to all be coordinate, ball up, all use their defensive cooldown and hope they catch him?

At first when I saw GW2 was having a Thief classe without a long duration stealth, I was happy. But now, I see it’s even worse. They can spam stealth in combat.

I don’t think you will be dropped down, since Fergusson crossing is having difficulties down there and is losing score.

I will say it again, a matchup AR vs BP vs FC/DR(they seems to be on FC level now) would be awesome. Too bad it won’t happen before a long time.

We have some really fair fight with BP, but we can’t attack each other much since it would let the GREEN take over.

Going suicide mode is great, once they down you they are in for a surprise!

I didn’t get to use Death nova a lot yet since I seems to get killed too fast for that. But it’s seems damage heavy, even more if it’s affected by the 50% damage.

I will try that build with my current build. I’m a condmancer, but I’m gonna focus on fear and downed attack. Will stay ar range with Scepter/Staff and still use epidemic. If they down me, BBOM.

Well I logged in EB too late I think to have that kind of fun

When I was there, we got like 10-12 player togheter and sieged our tower and our keep in EB.

We got them, but that’s when we saw that horrible E-Bay zerg.They were twice as many as use, and we had a lot of pre-80 char.

We got stomped so hard. I logged off around midnight in our camp being spawn camped.

Don’t give up after 2 weeks of being outmanned!

We, on Anvil Rock, have been in that situation since release! We didn’t win a single match up yet, nor have we been in a competitive match yet! Except maybe the fight with SF that we did some good comeback.

But the important isn’t to win, it’s to have fun. You will lose your fair weather player, but that’s a good thing.

Same thing for Fair weather guild. They cast an aura of negativity in a server, and we are better without them. We lost our biggest guild (ANV) because they were tired of losing. Since then, we are even better as a server.

It happened, it happens right now, it will happens later. No one is to blame, we have pug and they have pug.

We have The Crafter guild, they must have some unwanted guild too. We can’t control them.

There is no need to debate over it, and no need for statement like : “We have better player then you” and all that bullkitten.

I don’t think I fought BP players once this week, and I’m sure the majority can say the same.

But at the same time, I don’t blame the fighting between BP/AR. Both server obviously lack the coordination to form an alliance. And we both know that this week none of us will rank 1st. So why not fight for the 2nd place? There is some logic in that, so that’s why it’s hard to blame people over it.

Anyway I’m not accusing you, since I didn’t witness it, and we can’t do that on the forum. Was just asking.

It just weird that you make a thief only guild, when we all know thief are the class that can abuse rendering and wall bypassing.

If big guild didn’t hang togheter like they did with TA, we wouldn’t have this issue.

Spread in every outmanned server, and stay there.

Who ever is first doesn’t count, the funniest thing is having good matchup. Steamrolling or getting steamrolled isn’t fun.

I doubt our people are giving up, since we have been losing and outmanned since release.

I’m leveling an alt right now and I’m missing a lot of action in WvW, kitten I missed it. Tried some yesterday, but as long as you aren’t level 80, fighting outmanned is really hard.

Especially when Thief goes directly for squishy and you can’t see them render until you die

You won’t see how necro is kittened, until you play another class to 80.

I thought my engineer was lacking in some aspect, but since I leveled my necro, man my engineer was so much better. Versatile, burst damage and a lot of CC. Less bug too, and funnier/more useful traits.

Some traits doesn’t even seem to belong in the branch. Some like jagged horror are more annoying then useful.

I love the necro, I love the underdog and underplayed class. That’s why I play him.

But at least, remove the bug. I don’t mind being less powerful then other class, at least we won’t be FOTM. But having bugs is annoying as hell.

Calm down, it’s only a single nerf on a single ability, it will happen again and again in very MMO.

Necromancer and Ranger are both in the same boat. No need to fight each other.

What people are asking is to at least resolve the hundred of bugs we have and disgusting traits.

Funny to see people posting reply about quitting their guardian because ONE of their skill got his duration reduced.

It’s even more funny, when they play a class that is considered in the top tier in PVP/WVW. If I play a class and everyone say I’m OP, I know a nerf will happens. Soon or later, it’s gonna happen. It’s like that in every MMOrpg.

Don’t quit the game, just try another class. That’s how you realize : “ kitten my guardian wasn’t too bad finally. It was actually pretty good”.

I had the same reaction. I was having fun on my engi, but I thought they were lacking in some aspect. Then I leveled a Necro, and I can tell you that I realized how good and versatile was the engi. I didn’t know the meaning of “bugs” or “bad traits” before playing Necro.

TL;DR : Happens to top tier class in MMORPG, don’t act like it’s the end of the world. Try another class to open your eyes!

P.S : I know Mesmer didn’t get the nerf bat, but they will eventually. Just give Anet some time.

Yeah without accusing any guild or player, those thief that abused stealth rendering yesterday in AR BL were so annoying.

We had a group of 15 player trying to control a camp, and 2-3 thief running around preventing us from capping it.

Too bad I didn’t have fraps up, but it was so boring, I left the camp after like 5 min of trying to kill him. Even if we grouped up really close, and kept firing everything we had,
he could just continu to stealth and run around.

We would kill him from time to time, but another one would be there already. They at least 2, when one died, the other was back up there.

And much of the time, we couldn’t even see him appear. I could only see the swirl and fire blindly.

But still had good fight yesterday with you yesterday EB! Too bad I’m playing an alt right now and not 80 yet, I’m getting decimated :P

And did you say run around when the thief attack you? How do you exactly run away from a thief? They cripple, jump, stun. I don’t say Thief are really that OP, but I would like to kill one without him escaping with invis + best mobility in the game.

I got an offert of 400 gems if I replay to a guy that someone offered him 300 gems to convince the OP that the guy offered 200 gems to convince the OP that the OP is wasting his time is lying.

how do you figure its more information? DAoC in NF had everythign this game has minus yaks and supply. Not only that but the RvR area was MASSIVE so it had more mobs to load and more people over all to load and handled it. Just read the forum post asking : “who is the class you hate to fight the most” or “which class is the best for wvw”, it’s a general feeling that Mesmer and Thief seems to have an advantage over others.

But they are a really fun class. Mesmer are awesome to play, and your team will love you. AoE Quickness elite anyone?

Not even talking about the portal skill, which you can use to port an entire army of golem, or to by pass keep defence.

Adding a Switch/Case in code usually wouldn’t really change much, even if we have 100 player sending data. Well in theory, I don’t know there code.

I think this idea is perfect for people looking for rivalry, and still respecting Anet idea of procasual pvp.

It’s all cool if they want to be casual friendly, but there is a limit. I really don’t understand why showing name would make people stop playing?

Why don’t we remove any name from the game? Everyone anonymous. Like that, you won’t be harassed even in the PvE world. Risk free for everyone. Let’s remove chat too, since somoene could insult somoene else and we could lose players.

Where is the line?

For WvW, Mesmer is the way to go if you want to survive and steamroll almost every oponnent.

Mesmer got so many good skill (and good elite, it’s rare) and are a pain in the kitten to kill. They have prolly the best set of downed state skill in the game.

Elementalist are prolly to weakest class with necro right now, but they are a ton of fun to play. And make no mistake, you can own with them. But with the same skill, you can be much more effective with mesmer, in my opinion. They also have poor downed state skill.

Ranger I don’t know sorry, never played them since half the WvW population were ranger.

Try each of them, use the one that match your play style.

If I know a player is weak, and I want to grief him, how will it stop me? You can reconize people from the way they looks. You can even get is name from the report option, so if somoene want to grief, they will do it.

and it’s really hard to grief somoene. Somoene send you offensive message? Block him. Somoene camp you in WvW? How is this even possible? Tell me how can you harass somoene in WvW? It’s really hard to find somoene once they spawned back, and why would they travel alone? no logic here.

If somehow someone is able to spawn kill you and you are alone, swap borderland!

P.S : Personal rivalry are the best time I had in PvP. That’s what I remember when I remember UO and others. And most of the time, you eventually become friend with them.

I really wanted Kaineng to win, but not like that. It just feel weird that you’ll win this tier (maybe) because of your crazy day crew. There is something less honorable in PvD.

We are comparing this to a real coordinate group of thief. Sure, you alone won’t do much damage ( seems like you don’t use it to it’s full potential) but a group of thief with a good plan will ravage the place.

And by the way, killing a thief is NEVER an easy thing to do. Thief has so many escape mecanism, even if you are spotted, killing you won’t be an easy task.

Defending the Bay with thief flanking at the same time? Yes it can be game changing. I saw some server post on the forum saying that only “low tier” server will use the bay to protect an orb, because of this Thief by pass thing.

SBI at least have player and have a good ranking. Some lower tier server doesn’t even have enought player to take tower during peak time. They never won a match ether.

I think it’s even harder to keep the fighting spirit when you are in the bottom tier, and you keep fighting up without enought people to make a group.

Each night, I join a borderland with around 4-5 ally, and we fight all night vs 20-50 players. But we aren’t in the worse spot.

I’d say Devona’s Rest have a good spirit. They have it bad. They keep fighting each week, and they keep losing each week. They doesn’t have the underdog aura like Kaineng that attract wvw guild.

My vote goes to them, don’t give up Devona’s Rest!

I agree with everything you said. I was so bummed when I first played WvW and saw those anonymous player. kitten The Secret World did the same thing, and I thought it was a mistake from a PVE game. But no, now we have it in a pvp centric game.

And what about downed state/ rezzing. I too hate it. Being on an outmanned server, I wish I could use tactics to kill a zerg one by one. But as soon as we kill one, they rez it immediatly. Come on man
