Anti-Anti-Arcanic Arrow

Massive overload crazytime WALLOP!

The mats that drop from the mobs will be of the level of the zone. The xp & karma is around 75% of what you would get at your true level, the gear drops are a mixed bag – maybe 50%. The gear drops from the big chest events will always be for your true level.

It is NOT a sister site, it is scraping data from the original .com site.
I love those BA warrior cats and if I was a guy I would totally play one!
It always tickles me when I run the Urban Battlegrounds Fractal and get transformed into a Flame Legion Charr with burning red eyes, wielding my Lucky Charms of Doom scepter.

The right way to play is to ignore the forums and jump into game and do whatever you have fun doing.
According to Josh Foreman, it’s an unfinished jumping puzzle.
Out of curiosity… the “secret” area at the end of Ascalonian Catacombs paths 1 and 3… is that a JP or is this something that was left there???

http://imageshack.us/a/img94/8276/gw015w.jpgThat one never got finished. I’m sure it will be at some point. That’s another map I worked on midpoint. Hand placed about a trillion bits of grass and detritus all along the walls, hahaha! But Aaron added the JP in the polish pass, and I guess they never got around to scripting it.

You can access the Wiki from in-game by typing /wiki which will open a wiki page in your default browser. Adding a term to the command, such as /wiki Warrior will open the Warrior page.
Under navigation there is a Random Page link. I hit that today for the first time and got this:
Hrothbeir’s Rest is a small iced hill with one tree at Lake Mourn in Hoelbrak. It is named after a norn, Hrothbeir, who chipped away a glacier that was threatening to crush Hoelbrak during its early years, creating Lake Mourn. It is said he didn’t rest day or night until the glacier was gone, and when his task was done he sat exhausted on the island.
Proxemic’s Lab is a new waypoint that was added in the last patch – it’s for Guild Puzzles.
Is it hidden? Or if you hover your mouse over the map where it shows you the map objectives (completed/total) for each zone, can you see which map is missing the PoI?
I found one obscure one after I leveled before I went hunting hard for my map completion – gosh I want to say in Bloodtide or Sparkfly. It didn’t appear on the map until after I got it. It was in a cave of sorts, was only able to get in there after kicking off an escort quest.

Joining a guild is a good idea
I believe GW2 created a new bundle of “must-haves”.
Unless new MMOs come up with the same and more, I doubt they’ll be getting anywhere.
GW2 might be lacking on endgame activities, class depth, WvW depth and sPvP modes, but the core of the game is solid, it just needs to be expanded.
In the while we play what we have… going back to those jokes that other MMOs are isn’t really an option after you’ve been spoiled by non-static, action combat.
Dat GW2 effect.
The massive price drop of ectos since the Feb 26th patch indicates we have ectoplasm leaking out of our ears now.
I haven’t heard anything about an Easter event but I have heard that April Fool’s Day is going to blow us away!
Name an MMO that DOESN’T have most of that.
In fact most Korean grinds had most of that years ago !
Name me one MMO that has all of this that’s not pay to win cuz I can’t find any
I know exactly how you feel.
I can no longer play MMOS that do not have:
1. A Buy-to-play model.
2. Up to date graphics. The fact that the world in the distance looks like concept art is mindblowing to me.
3. A massive world
4. Level sidekicking.
5. A ridicolously high quality, and quantity, of animations.
6. Upleveling in PvP as well as instant access to best in-slot gear.
7. Dynamic events.
8. A personal story.
9. Jumping puzzles.
10. A dye system for your gear.
11. Cross realm auction house.
12. Great underwater combat.
13. Armour sets of a size that you can actually imagine wearing.
I remember a certain game where the power of your character would depend on the size of your shoulderpads.
And where there would only be new models for head gear and shoulderpads, where the rest of the gear would be re-painted versions of gear that has been around for years, if not just having the “gear” being paint on the character’s body.
That’s a mighty fine list you’ve put together there sir, but I can add a couple more things
WvWvW – this is the epic week long battle we’ve been yearning for
Let’s me use in game gold for cash shop items
Active combat – I can cast while running
No server downtime for maintenance
Overflow system means no queues to play
Shared nodes
Dungeons that are actually challenging
Detailed/custom character creation
Waypoint travel
Flat leveling curve
Player rezzing
Dodging
Transfer costs – 1 price for all toons (can use ingame gold for that too!)
And finally – Mesmers!
Your elite skills are not locked out, you need to select them when you are underwater XD
Wrong. Some elites can not be used underwater and are locked from selection.
Your underwater skills are available to you.
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Underwater
“A player’s skill bar changes when swimming and when entering underwater mode. While on the surface of a body of water, no skill slots are shown; a player has no skills to use but is still vulnerable to attack. Upon going underwater, a new skill bar is brought up as a player’s aquatic weapon is automatically equipped. Each weapon provides class-specific skills for use in underwater. Players can also set different healing, utility, and elite skills for underwater combat. Skills which can’t be used underwater displays a crossed waterdrop in their descriptions.”
Bolded the important part where you missed exactly what I said. Some elite skills are locked from selection underwater. You dont get “unique” underwater utility or elite skills. The only" underwater skills" you get are weapon skills.
Creating a entire map where a players choice of elite skills may infact be completely unusable is bad design and should be ignored as an option.
Dang, I better stop using my Whirlpool then, eh?
My point was that most professions only have ONE underwater elite (cough necro), and things like traps, wells, +many others normal skills don’t work under water limiting a lot of builds and that’s unfair and boring (forced to use that one elite). I know how skills work and which skills are usable underwater. =.=
That’s because your weapon changes when you are underwater. Your weapon is an integral part of your build.
Your elite skills are not locked out, you need to select them when you are underwater XD

On the underwater dragon they might have been talking about this interview with Colin Johanson by Eurogamer.
He didn’t confirm it, just talked about some possibilities for the expansion.
Is this a recent interview or the one from a a few weeks ago?
From yesterday.
Most bags and boxes are created with crafting. You can level a craft to make your own or purchase them from other players on the Trading Post with in game gold.
The .net site is thieving the listings from gw2lfg.com by scraping the data.
Do not use this site. If they are so unscrupulous as to steal information like this, what will they do with your account information.
Elementalist glowing glitch.
Heck, in wow it took pretty much the entire server assembled in a single spot in order to cause drop in framerates and crashed, even with settings maxed.
That’s not saying much these days considering the population on most of their servers
Also, I spoke with a dev in game and although he didn’t give me any details he told me that they are doing something spectacular for April Fool’s. So over the top that he has no idea what they will do next year, lol.
No GuildCast episode this week but you can check out any other Guild Wars 2 content at:
http://www.gamebreaker.tv/guild-wars-2-game-news/
Looks like gamebreaker sold out to Blizz. Terribly misleading.
Actually going to be tons of stuff as confirmed by a recent dev post. Just not on the teaser yet.
Why didnt anyone posted the video of the “airplane emote” during BWE. That was hilarious.
:D
Leveling through crafting is a nice option if you want a max level alt quickly.
24 more minutes til it’s due to reset.
Transmutation stones.
And if you think end-game is cosmetic only, you haven’t been paying attention
1) Fractals. Serious, I think I’m addicted to these things.
2) The Eternal Battlegrounds jump puzzle (aka the Murder Pit).
3) World boss events. Yes, I was doing these before the upgraded loot. Love the epic feels.
4) The World. Got my map completion months ago but still discovering things to this day. It’s gorgeous.
5) The Community. Best, funniest, friendliest community of gamers I’ve ever had the pleasure of playing with.
6) Collecting all teh things. Gear, weapons, skins, pets, dyes, toys, etc.
But no matter what goals I may have for my play sessions, I can find anytime I log in to be completely swept away doing something completely different. Game is distracting as kitten because it’s so much fun!
No. At least one member of your guild needs to be helping kill the boss to get credit for the mission and the guild merits.
First thing, look at your keybinds. The default ones are pretty awkward for most people, you may want to change them.
Learn how to dodge effectively. In this game, avoiding damage is as important as dealing it.
The Deposit to Collectibles option on your inventory/bag puts all mats in your bank. You will need to go to your bank to withdraw them, but when you craft it automatically uses them so no need to withdraw unless you want to sell.
You can list things on the Trading Post from anywhere in game, only need to go to a TP when you want to pick things up.
Grab some gathering tools as soon as possible, just about anything you do in game gives you xp.
Think of Renown Hearts like breadcrumb quests, they lead you into an area but the dynamic events are the real meat of the game. Those npcs waving their arms and asking you for help aren’t there for flavor!
Don’t be shy about asking in mapchat for help or if you have a question. The ingame community is really friendly
Explore – there are hidden areas all over the place, behind waterfalls or bushes you can sometimes find jumping puzzles and even entire zones!
Take everything you know about previous MMOs and throw it out the window – this game is different, this game is FUN!
Actually I don’t know of a single game that had a lfg system at launch… They mostly add them later.
Took WoW 5 years from launch to implement one, I remember when they did.
I can see it not being top priority in this game, it’s really easy to get a group.
gw2lfg.com is a good site
Playing a game just to “have fun” and pass the time is not my idea of a good game.
you could’ve simply posted that, it explains everything about your position.
That seals the thread.
Though on his defense I have to say GW2 doesn’t provide much fun to those who look for a challenge.
Beside high Fractals everything can be done by a 4 years old kid mashing buttons randomly.
Fun and challenge are strictly tied when talking about videogames; there isn’t one successful game that provides no challenge whatsoever.
Same can be said about just about any MMO out there. Look at WoW for instance, “besides Heroic Raids everything can be done by a 4 year old kid mashing buttons randomly”.
High level fractals and explorable mode dungeons are the challenging content in this game.
Hey Josh, any news on how the Mother of All Jumping Puzzles is coming along?
Raving Asura: “All of us! Abandoned! You aren’t real. You can’t be here!”
Here’s the outtakes
Happening every day in WvW
Something was posted about 2 weeks ago about it coming ‘very soon’. You might be able to find it if you went through the Dev Tracker, I think it was CC Eva that made the post.
I would love to see an item that would let me change a soulbound item to account bound. Even if it was a one use deal – accountbound until I soulbind it to a new character.
