I noticed a huge improvement. Like night and day from yesterday

For anyone that hasn’t seen them yet:

Looks to me like they aren’t “full” dances yet, but dance snippets to whet our appetite for when they are done.

They always claim they’re innocent.

I think it’s been really fun! They just keep building on a solid foundation, I’m delighted and constantly surprised with where they are taking the game.

T6 mats are a rare drop off mobs that drop the T5 version. You can try to farm those mobs hoping to get the T6 and either simply sell the T5’s to buy more T6 or use the T5’s in the Mystic Forge to transmute them into T6.

Check the wiki or gw2db for mob locations.

Or you can farm gold from Fractals or speed run CoF P1 or dragon farming or whereever and buy the T6.

Yeah most people in our guild get 4 commendations, but between the monthly reset, WvW reset today and the Weekend it’s really hard to see how the reset supposed to kick in. The fact that we’re at 25 Merit suggests that the guild weekly hasn’t reset yet (else we should have got 15 + 25 = 40). So no idea how this is supposed to work.

The thing is if it’s a daily thing it will be a considerable strain on the guild though, at least right now it takes a considerable amount of time to organize for the events (I basically only do one fractal for the two night that we had been doing it). Maybe we can trim the time down a bit once we get used to the routine.

Ah yes, the monthly reset may have been a factor for you folks.

4) Only members of your guild can start the encounter. The boss appears friendly to random people in the zone until the fight starts.

We had a failed attempt on Tier 1 Bounty on Tuesday (when the Mission UI was crashing) but I got 2 commendations off the 1 kill we did.

We completed all 3 Tiers on Wednesday but I didn’t receive any additional commendations.

Not sure if we had 24 hours between attempts, we are doing more Missions tonight for folks that couldn’t be on Wednesday – hopefully it is a daily reward

It’s not guesting. You can guest on 2 servers in any 24 hour period but you still can only kill that boss for rewards once.

It’s everyone came out of the dungeons for this patch.

The red. Goes better with the mediterrean look.

This patch brought people out of the dungeons and into the world.

I love the monthly content patches. No more bugs than any other MMO that I’ve seen and I’m very happy with their rate of fixes.

I can confirm that the Modniir Overlord meta event in Harathi Hinterlands has increased rewards.

How did you confirm this? And can you confirm you can only get the chest 1 per day?

I ran the event yesterday after reset and received 2 rares from the chest.
I ran the event again this morning and did not receive a chest reward.

Wrong, the live stream last night (CET time) was a very different story.

Infact they stated that they will be working on the Guild UI for a bit before relocating staff to PvE content.

Happy with the missions, all around increased rewards and increased difficulty on certain dynamic events.

Going to ask the questions I’d rather not, since I see so many server guests at these events lately.

1) Is the “once per day” limit bypassed by visiting the same event on a different server with the same character?

2) If so, is that intended?

1) No.

You can however get the daily reward from the event on other characters. Guesting is limited to 2 servers per day, people are looking at the timers and trying to line up the events to hit as many events with as many characters as they can.

You can also purchase karma exotics and throw them in the Mystic Forge to get an exotic you can sell.

my guild got up to T3 yesterday on the bounty and got 1 reward chest (x2 commendations + 2 rare + some coin) all you need is 1 guild event done for the reward, and you can’t get anymore. i believe the chest may be one a week.

That was our experience as well. Not sure about the other kinds of missions since it’s impossible to unlock them yet.

I’ve been playing MMOs since EverQuest came out. So EverQuest, Asheron’s Call, Anarchy Online, DAoC, EverQuest 2, SWG, Vanguard, Warhammer Online, World of Warcraft, Rift, SW:ToR, EVE etc. are just a few I’ve played over the years. I find GW 2 to be the most innovative, but I find little incentive to log in and play, and when I do play it feels like a ghost town or single player game. When I feel this way in other MMOs I generally queue up for either a dungeon or world event and am immediately surrounded by other players. This wasn’t even an option in GW2, and on the rare occasion I ran into a new player there was less encouragement to communicate as there is no requirement to form an actual organized group.

We had 80+ members on Mumble this evening coordinating our Tier 3 Guild Mission Bounty win.

This is factually incorrect. My day 1, 4 person guild, which has been focused on building a precise group composition/specs/gear/etc allowing us to 4-man the 5-player Explorable dungeon content, doesn’t happen to be doing enough things to generate remotely the kind of influence you suggest. We’ve maxed out the bank vault tabs, but nothing else. And yes, we were a little unhappy the day we hit the CoF explorable encounter that required 5 players to proceed (we don’t view the spoilers before attempting the content).

Our large guild completed Tier 3 Bounty this evening and I can assure you, influence should be the least of your worries. Small guilds simply do not have the manpower to provide coverage on all the maps.

Even if ANet gifted you the influence, there’s no way a small guild can do this. There are too many bosses on too many maps, you don’t know which ones you will get until you start the mission, you have to track them down, they sometimes travel in huge and random paths and the timer would just be too harsh for a tiny guild.

While I feel for the smaller guilds, many people have been asking for large scale PvE guild content since the game launched. Not every patch is going to bring content for every subset of the community.

I agree with the original poster. And the worst part is that while all these extra distrations are being added, major elements of the core game are still broken after all this time. Most dynamic events, for example, break down and stop working if the servers have gone more than a day or two between resets (which is, unfortunately, common).

Want to wow us with new and fresh gameplay we haven’t seen before? Start by fixing the dynamic events you already have.

Most dynamic events work flawlessly. I haven’t seen a bugged DE in months.

This is the first PvE patch for “large” guilds (10+ players).

People have been asking for a feature like this since the game launched. It’s ok, not every patch will be for every subset of the player community.

Really OP, in a game this massive you will never be able to do everything, you will never be able to finish the game. Just focus on the things you like to do and sample some of the other stuff in your spare time. Things you find fun may change over time, that’s ok

You can do Jormag as many times as you’d like… but you only get rewards for the first time. Every other time looks like the only thing you get is whatever you find from trash mobs and the exp/karma/gold for completing the event.

You can also do it on an alt and get full rewards.
So 1 main + 4 alts = 5 chests per day per world boss

Judging by the amount of people everywhere in game today – and I mean EVERYWHERE, I would say this patch is a smashing success

PTR’s don’t do anything. Just look at WoW’s recent fiasco. Expac on PTR for 6 months, it launches and a low level paladin solo’s the shiny new raid boss lol.

I can confirm – 3 people in my guild got it from Shadow Behemoth today.

Seeing as how I can’t see anything about waypoints in the update notes, other than some changes to Dungeon waypoints, has anyone managed to find these new ones?
