I got a chuckle when I saw a charr with the name “Where My Charr Dude”.
All the armors in the game, where to make or get with dye options on different races and genders.
http://argos-soft.net/GW2ArmorGallery/index.php?sex=1&weight=1&race=2&color=5
Tiny Asura in a healy spec gives whole new meaning to the term “pocket healer”.
I’ll take 2.
Grats Luchifer! I’m going for Incinerator myself
I think most players will agree with me that getting grey Porous Bones as the default no loot option is a yeee-UCK kind of feeling.
How about mixing it up with some flavor items? Little snippets of lore, hints on where to find hidden areas, keys to unlock bosses or jump puzzles – I’m sure the creative minds at ANet can come up with a fun alternative to those icky unfun bones
+1 to the OP – this is the best MMO I’ve ever played
I love the loot bags. Doesn’t matter what kind, I cannot resist opening them!
Low risk, potential good reward.
I think armor and weapon skins should be available from gameplay only.
But I would like more town clothing.
I’ve never seen that! What zone and area were you in?
“So shiny that the skritt fear being blinded by its shininess.”
Hit 30 laurels today so I set off to the laurel vendor to get my amulet. Got completely sidetracked reading the flavor text on the amulets, lol. Good stuff.
If you use BLSK you’ll get the rune + 1-3 ectos (i average a little less than 2 ectos per exotic) so say 6 armors gets you 10 ectos @ 37s ea = 3.7g before TP fees + w/e the runes are going for & some misc. mats.
You can try throwing them into the Mystic Forge for a chance at a named exotic – anywhere from 2 to 20g.
You can buy the Orrian boxes with karma or again you can buy armor for the forge.
I agree with his points, but are we really seriously supposed to know who “WoodenPotatoes” is and have this feeling that his opinion somehow matters more than someone else’s? Why is this person relevant? Who cares? Just say “this guy said” or whatever. The internet gives so many people the false sense of importance
This.
I’m not sure why Wooden Potatoes should have more say than any Iron Tomatoes out there on a personal opinion about how he would personally enjoy the game and what he personally does not like of it.
Go comment on his video if you care about his opinion, GW2 community has a whole cares of the community’s whole opinion and no Steel Broccoli out there represents the community.
If he feels hollow that’s his problem, doesn’t make it an objective issue of everyone just because the guy has, uh, 6k views?
GW2 is played by 3 million people.
Maybe his vid is being posted around forums & message boards because he is trying to drum up more viewers, lol.
Me and a couple guildies went around trying to locate all the Skritt Burglar events a few weeks back. We found a bunch of them and chased that giggling little rat all over Tyria!

I get the impression that he doesn’t “get” the game on a very basic level.
I’m in the KITTEN NO to traditional linear quests crowd
The game is non-linear – you can play it any way you like
There is so much content, I only had something like 60% map completion when I hit 80.
Most of the vistas are easy, this one has a jumping puzzle incorporated into it which makes it challenging for players that don’t have much platforming skills yet.
I would suggest leaving that one for now, do the rest of your map completion and try it later when you’ve built up some more skills.
Believe me, I was TERRIBLE at jumping puzzles when I first started playing – I gave up at one point on Urmaug’s Secret, that’s how terrible I was lol. I can do them now with relative ease and enjoy the challenging ones
Couple hints:
*If you see the yellow blur above your health bubble, that means you are in combat which slows you, get out of combat before you jump.
*Holding down your space bar longer will let you jump farther.
*Aiming your camera up or down can affect how far you jump.
*Swing your camera to jump around turns.
*Use your strafe keys to move in midair.
*Use a stability boon to keep from getting knocked off or some kind of protection boon to prevent taking damage. You can also pick up the Order of the Whispers Spy Kits to stealth past mobs.
*Use speed buffs to jump longer distances.
*Make friends with a mesmer. Feed them cookies and omnomberries.
I’ve got an Energy Crystal in my bags that I found in Metrica that’s to open the Old Oola Lab and unlock an event there that I haven’t used yet.
It’s listed under the trophies category in the wiki, might try looking there or in the database for colored trophy items?
Have you done Flame Temple Tombs?
There are certain event items in the game that can open a portal or “attune” an area so you can enter it.
Such as an item you can find in Metrica Province that if used correctly during the Thaumanova Reactor event will unlock it so you can jump into the reactor to find a mini dungeon.
Or there are items you can find in Mount Maelstrom that if used together at a certain place spawn a special boss.
Is that the kinds of things you are looking for?
Orrian Boxes are also great for transfering karma to other characters.
Orly? How do you do that?
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Mystic_Forge/Other_Items
These named exotic weapons are like “mini” legendaries – not nearly the time investment to create and some of them have very cool effects.
Or you could always sell the coins, at 9 silver apiece now that quickly adds up to a chunk of change.
10 more days – is your guild ready?
Ask and ye shall recieve.
https://www.guildwars2.com/en/the-game/releases/february-2013/
The only semi good thing is the guild quests but again, how long will those keep people “happy” and occupied til they get boring.
Until we get a free content patch the next month. And the month after that. And the next month after that and the month after that, and the month after that and well, you see where this is going.
They are building a monster.
Ask and ye shall recieve.

Looks like you haven’t logged in lately – they lifted the server caps just before Guesting was implemented and haven’t put them back on yet.
As far as population, in an interview a couple days ago:
MMORPG: One last question: do you guys sleep?
COLIN: We’ll stop to sleep when the game is the best possible game we think it can be. We’ve seen the population of the game steadily rising lately and we’re not going to sit on our butts and congratulate one another, we’re going to try and build on that momentum and make the game even better. There is so much coffee in Seattle no one can sleep anyway.
There is another event that happens directly after Melandru is killed that rewards the chest, you stopped too soon!
There’s over 3,000 dynamic events in the game – that would be a book! With different fail and success states, quite the undertaking to produce that.
You can always check the wiki for documented events if you like

You don’t need a GW1 account to use the HoM stone, it’s there for everyone.
I don’t think of these ways to travel as exploits – -I think they put them in the game explicitly for us to have low-cost travel if we want to save a couple silver.
From my experience, wp cost at low level was inconsequential, started feeling burdensome at mid to level cap, after being 80 for a bit it’s a non-issue again. But I’m cheap, I like to save my silvers
It’s actually picking up from where you left off. The launcher is just showing the percent of number of files left to download.
If anything, at least give us minimal cost to travel between cities/towns/outposts (or to them). This was a great part of GW1. I could care less about getting to a specific location on a map, if I can easily travel to a town within the map. I’d just start from there.
A couple ways to travel cheaply:
Use the Pvp lobby to take the asura gate to Lion’s Arch – from there you can take a gate to any of the major cities. Completely free.
Use the Hall of Monuments Portal Zone to go to HoM – that’s free travel then half the price of waypoints to any northern zones. Get the stone from the karma vendor in the smuggler’s cave in LA at no cost.
Use your Order’s portal to take the asura gate to Fort Trinity in Orr. Free.
Hope that helps!
exploitive
The player who does this should be reported for exploiting, yup.
Exploits can be reported directly to ArenaNet at
exploits@arena.net
You’re welcome
Here is an image, we do not know if there are particle effects.
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/File:Final_Rest.jpg
I don’t even know what it is.
It is an amazing staff topped with an asymmetrical winged gargoyle. Confirmed to be in game by the devs, no one has found it yet.
Considering that they’ve been giving us new music & themes for almost every patch, I think we can continue to expect new music

With this post, you’ve effectively reported yourself for griefing your server – cool!
First you need to know which chest to farm. Second, you need to get it. Then you should start thinking about profit.
Personally, i think that first one that shows up could reach price of precursor easily, maybe even more.
Easily reach precursor price imo.
So then it wasn’t really snuck in period.
Yes it was comma, this feature wasn’t on the Flame & Frost page a couple days ago.
Why are we talking in punctuation question mark?
Funny, I am at the TP right now and can not preview any items….
Coming soon in a free content patch to you! (February 26th – 11 more days)
This game just keeps getting better by the minute
Deer are overpowered – fear the deer!
They’ve adjusted the timeline on the launch of new content:
Hey guys,
Just to help provide some clarity on this, we’ll be releasing within the next couple of weeks a high level summary of our big plans for the first half of 2013 to help provide more transparency into our plans with the game going forward. This will include providing more details about our goals for the game, information about the stories and features that you’ll see in the Jan/Feb/March releases.
To set expectations accordingly, the January release will be a relatively small release that sets the table for the stories and features we plan to roll out with the Feb/March releases and beyond. Also, there will be no new race, profession, or new region with these larger Feb/March releases. One of our major goals with these releases is making our existing world as strong as possible, ensuring there are reasons to go to all the locations in the world we’ve already built, and strengthening the core game we’ve provided. In saying this will be an expansions worth of stuff in these releases, we’re talking about the number of new features that will be rolled out across PvE, WvW, and PvP in early 2013, which usually you’d only find in an expansion for a traditional MMORPG.
More details and specifics to come in the next couple of weeks, but I hope that helps provide some more insight into what to expect at a very high level.
In January we got the Prelude to Flame and Frost, the Laurel system, Guesting, more ascended infusions and Amulets.
The 2nd chapter is coming this month along with the new PvP map, Guild Missions, rated PvP play, changes to daily achievements and preview in the Trading Post.
Pretty good so far, the next couple months will see even more to come.
I think this game needs more invisible walls. In dungeons. cough cough terrain exploits cough cough
Fear not NetherDiver, I will save youuuuuuuuuu!!!
/runs up, grabs NetherDiver, spins him around, deftly perfoms Heimlech Manuever, watches in amazement as an Anomaly comes flying out of his mouth, tries to catch it, misses, grabs butterfly net, snags the Anomaly and we all live happily ever after.
Make a bank alt, open a guild vault
No release date but predicted for the end of this year.

FYI you can try out builds/runes/sigils for free in the Heart of the Mists before spending any gold.
Test it against a target golem or jump in a hot join match to see how it plays.
I think you’re looking too deep into it, like when people see shapes in clouds. This is just what you’re interpreted it to be, I guess.
This is way more detailed than that but oh well.
What has been seen cannot be unseen.
runs
Oh you kids! <3
