If they are OPTIONAL, then remove them from wvw as they have no part in it, block real wvw players from getting in and are the cause of a lot of friction between JP2 fans and wvw players.
Noooooo, we love the Murderpit!
My body is ready. BRING IT ArenaNet!
Busting at the seams on Sanctum of Rall.
This one is now my favorite:

My hands down favorite is Obsidium Sanctum in Eternal Battlegrounds (or the Murderpit as I like to call it)
Mad King’s Clock Tower was downright addicting.
Hey Josh, any word on when that “Mother of all jumping puzzles” you said you were working on will be in game?
Lol. Carebears in GW2…. amazing MMOS like EQ2 and WoW CONTINUE to run for what? almost 10 years? as PAY to PLAY… because they realized that its hardcore gamers are the ones sticking around.
They make end game for them, because they know the hardcore gamer, the best of the population, is the one spending more time and effort than everyone else.
GW2 endgame is a joke. You hit 80, LITERALLY buy the best gear in the game for 20 gold, complete every dungeon half asleep, complete the map and then what? Make an alt? For what? to do the same thing again? GTFO.
Add some gear rewards for people that want them, its not gonna make a casuals gameplay any worse.
I crush FotM 30? Gimme better gear, so I can go and clear CoE 1-3 in 30 minutes. How does that affect a casual players game play? You can go still fail at dungeons, you can still craft, you can still do DE’s… Ill just be doing more.
End.
Out of WoW’s supposed 10 million subscribers, less than 1/2 a million raid.
GW2 made a wise choice in not chasing that crowd.
All you have to do is change zones for about an hour if you hit DR.
But how many people out there bought the game because a friend told them it was awesome and in your eagerness to join them, you forgot to ask which server they played on. Thinking the problem can be corrected, you just make an character to see how the game works with the intention of remaking when your friend comes home from work only to find out your SOL because you made a life-altering decision 30 seconds after you installed the game and before you could even decide what kind of character you wanted to make.
The game CLEARLY tells you that your server selection is permanent and there is a transfer fee if you want to change servers.
He can’t delete his character and remake on a different server? Well that’s poor game design if I’ve ever seen it.
I presume if you pay to transfer servers, it transfers all of your characters then?
It’s not poor design – it is by design due to WvW. Otherwise bandwaggoners would simply delete to jump to the winning server.
And yes, all your toons are included in the transfer fee.
You can use ingame gold to transfer rather than spending cash but if your account is only 3 days old I don’t imagine you’ve had a chance to earn that much gold yet.
Try putting in a support ticket, they have a very responsive support team.
The game is breathtaking in it’s beauty and detail. It’s like playing in a painting.
Daniel Dociu is the artist genius behind it. A very interesting person.

Everyone is using gw2lfg.com for groups or running with guildies or friends.
Have you checked out Dulfy’s staff gallery?
It doesn’t show alot of the effects, but there are some very nice staves there.
Only because WvW amounts to little more than a mini-game.
If WvW is a mini-game in GW2, then raiding is a mini-game in WoW.
They are, instances are minigames inside the main game. When i (we?) say mini game, it means an ‘’alternate world inside’’
The thing is WvW is bigger (?) than a dungeon and is focused more into PvP than a group of people beating up some mobs, but still being some what mindless of just cap objectives which are events, atleast is linked with the mini game pve map, so is holding hands and dont give you that ‘’instance feeling’’ that much.
Theres a lot of tweak and job to do with WvW, the culling is just the tip of the iceberg, besides it should be top priority too, that is what players are taking it as competitive environment in GW2…the spvp (haha haha?) we arent even going to start with that.
And last but least…lets just not talk about this here.
Getting your whole server on TeamSpeak to coordinate strategies to take out your enemies and rise in region wide ranking seems a bit EPIC to be calling a mini-game.
Are dungeons mini-games? Are Hearts? Are Dynamic Events and the Trading Post? Collecting gear and pets? What exactly is the “main game”?
The asura animations as a whole are fantastic. It always gives me a case of the giggles when I come to sudden stop and almost faceplant due to my weapon weight, or watch my asura flail her arms wildly as she jumps through the air.
I know, why do we jump so high that we almost fall on our face lol?
College of Dynamics most likely
Great video but it didn’t have the /laugh emote!

Take a look at the WvW forums. Threads started with the new match just 2 days ago already have over 10k views.
DreamofaCure gave you some good ideas of things to do. I hit 80 about 3 weeks after launch and I’m still building and perfecting sets, running dungeons, making named exotics for show and working towards a legendary.
I do dungeons, kill dragons, do Fractals, take down corrupted god temples, do jumping puzzles and pretty much anything me and my guild is up for.
I love the non-linear, no treadmill approach this game has. I can pretty much do whatever I want to work towards my goals. None of the content becomes obsolete, it all stays relevant. None of the content has gear gates, I can jump into anything.
In your scrounging around for love themed items, make sure to pick up a stack of Jar of Harpy Pheromones
I’ve noticed recently (since Jan 28th patch?) that the world populations seem to be decreasing, at least for NA servers. There are no Full servers, and where there used to be just a few High compared to Very High, there is now sometimes about 60/40 Very High/High.
I’m not trying to say the sky is falling. I’m just curious. Is this a reflection of population changes? Has ANet upped the capacity per server?
We created more capacity a little while ago guesting went up live to allow more chances for people to move around their home worlds if they wished to do so. In game population wise, you’ll be excited to know login numbers and peak concurrency numbers have been slowly going up or staying consistent depending on the day going on 6 weeks in a row now. We’re very excited to see that =)
Hey Colin, can you give us that famous smile of yours when you say “Fastest growing MMO ever made” <3
Run it with some guildies if you’re struggling with it
They lifted the server caps about a week before they instituted paid transfers, then lifted them again when paid transfers went live so that transfers would be cheaper.
If anything the population is increasing.
Lots of lodestones dropping from the new karma item in Orr. Lost Orrian Jewelry Boxes.
Well to be honest after doing the same events 100+ times (very easy to do) they do get very very boring.
There are over 3,000 events in the game. To do all the events 100 times you would have to have completed over 2,000 events per day since the game launched.
Okay, and which of those over 9000 events aren’t “Kill this” “Escort this” “Capture this point” “Collect this item” ?
You may as well boil it down to “Playing an MMO requires me to hit a button on my keyboard”. There are many varied stories throughout the game, check it out

They gave us 5 months of free and plenty of notice for the change to paid.
Why did you wait?
I’ve received 2 exotics from jumping puzzle chests this week.
Did they increase the drop rate? Happy about this change since jumping puzzles are one of my favorite aspects of the game
The tassels get bigger as you kill more people
Ok, I didn’t think this bow could get any more awesome – what have you DONE??
The part in bold… isn’t that the part where Sigmund Freud would raise an eyebrow?
From the original Guild Wars to GW2 ANet has always thrown fun things in there. It’s who they are and I appreciate them for it. I’m still waiting to see one of these in WvW, but if I had one I’d certainly use it… especially as bait to draw enemies into ambushes and traps. “He haz rainbow bow! Get him!” Portal bomb
Aw yeah.
Beware the rainbow!
Judging from the crowds of people surrounding anyone that pulls out The Dreamer, I’d say the rainbow bow is immensely popular
If it was changed to rares dropping from each veteran kill and exotics from every champion, we’d be vendoring them like blues and greens since the game would be awash in them.
It would crash the economy.
You get the mail after you finish the new achievement and change zones.
Great job on everything so far, looking forward to the new events today
12 noon PST whatever that is in GMT I do not know.
We took it down on SoR yesterday so it’s definitely possible
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/gw2/Sanctum-of-Rall-has-beaten-Grenth/first#post1320360
Nice that we have a extremely challenging encounter in the game.
Are you talking about Mystic Coins? They added a new slot to your collectibles tab, check there as there were no changes to Mystic Coins.
It’s a bit early in the morning for raid teams to have downed Grenth, but you might have better luck checking the Dynamic Events forum
Even without test servers GW2 has less problem, fewer bugs and SIGNIFICANTLY less downtime than MMOs that have them.
Why there is famous MMO recently that after being in test server for months, when it went live a low level toon solo’d the big end raid boss hahaha.
All a public test server does is give an Trading Post advantage to players that have the time to use iit.
Blizzard character transfer is 25$ per toon.If you want to transfer all your heroes will be really expensive.
I have no idea why people are complaining for Anets payed character transfer?25$ to transfer ALL your characters is a lot more cheaper than Blizzard.
Plus we can use ingame gold for the service. Can’t do that in a Blizzard game.
The first step was implemented in WvW only today. It loads a placeholder toon in immediately and then loads in the player’s toon. This is to eliminate the “invisible zerg” effect.
Placeholder toons would not help with immersion tbh. I hear ya though, culling is my only gripe with the game.
Better than paying $15 per TOON transfer, like Blizzard do
I transferred when it was free, but I have no intentions of moving anyway.
Wait, how is it better? GW2 would cost 25 dollars to transfer to high pop. Also 32g isn’t easy for most people to get especially with DR’s keeping your grind session to about 35 minutes.
$15 PER toon.
This transfers ALL of your toonsBesides, you’ve had plenty of time to realm change – Everyone knew that they were going to start charging gems to change. If you didn’t change beforehand with plenty of warning about this, why whinge when it actually gets implimented. If you weren’t on the realm you wanted to be on, knowing that they were going to do this, that’s your bad lol.
I’m not complaining on my behalf, I’ve already switched and returned to my server, though people who don’t follow anet on various sites, probably still have no clue. As for gw2 switching ALL your toons, that is a negative imo because now if I want to WvW with my friends in EU and US I have to then dump another 60 dollars and level another character, plus deal with 2 accounts. Anet is like a Chinese Buffet in the morning, sure its cheaper, but the choices suck.
I think you may not understand the intrinsic design of this game if you can’t see that having toons on multiple servers would be exploitable in WvW.
It’s not about limiting choices, it’s the design of the game itself.
And unless they changed things recently I believe Blizzard charges $25 per toon + $30 for faction change. You could easily spend $250+ to transfer your toons off a dead server in that game. That’s what I was looking at when I quit playing. Pretty terrible considering how poorly they manage their server pops. Those players would give their left eyeball if they could use ingame gold to transfer.
That happens to me every now and then. Relogging fixes it.
Bought 25 boxes and got 2 Destroyer Lodestones, 1 Onyx Lodestone, Mini Risen Priest of Balthazar, a bunch of the grey item and 1 Obsidian Shard. Oh, and a bunch of karma in various sizes that I haven’t used yet.
So part of the patch notes include new and improved legendary effects!
I made a quick video showing the new shooting effect of The Dreamer legendary. If you have a legendary with new effects share your videos/screenshots showing the updates so everyone can see

Rainbow Unicorn!
Taste the rainbow, kittens!
So you get 10 laurels for doing this, what happens to the people that already did it this month? Some people just did it all except for 1 thing so they will get the new rewards while the other people gets punished for doing it before and gets nothing =(
Doesn’t kick in til February, you’re ok
