Ok so we all know the stats of choice for a tankier build is Soldiers aka Power/Vitality/Toughness. But what if you want to go full tank/bunker and therefore have no use for the power? Well how would you like the too keep the toughness and vitality of Soldiers, but also have healing power? Anet could distribute the stats however they see fit, but I honestly feel this would be an excellen addition to the game and promote build diversity and make a full bunker/tank build much more effective. Perhaps it would be too strong in pvp but thankfully they dont have to put it into the mists for to be happy with it.

Pvt is not the strongest for that its sentinel Vpt ig gives you more hp;)
but adding healing power will make some classes impossible to kill in wvw and they would be way to strong in support(looking at you eles) makeing them something any raoming groupe has 2 off and just makes the groupe close to impossible to kill makeing a stalmate and that is borring

The Vigil appears to have no interest in ruling land for itself. it will likely have a significant presence in Orr, yes, but it doesn’t need to declare the land conquered for the greater glory of the Pact to do so. It just needs to retain good relations with the nations that it stations its bases in.

The Priory will want to perform archaeology but, again, this only requires that the governments in the areas it wishes to operate in be cooperative, not that it BE the government. Furthermore, by the time it’s reasonable for anyone to settle Orr, it’s quite likely that the Priory would have already got everything they want out of it, and their only further interest is to preserve historically significant sites – and giving those sites to the people it’s most significant to is an efficient way of doing so.

that is true, that changes normally happen tho they are hard to consider when doing this.
its true that the vigil have not build a goverment yet but there have not been a reason to as all the land where allready taken but now they have 1/3 of orr(the other 2 orders have the rest right now) and there is no goverment there or anything else plus by going there doing it themself they know that the peoples intresest is taken care of, so to me there is little reason for the vigil not to place a goverment there.
the priory will most likely sell there land to the vigil or the order of whispers to get the right for all artifacts on there part to unless they split it by letting all artifacts go to the priory and all information still in orr go to the order of whispers and the vigil gets the land itself

then the question is are there going to be any treats to our way of life after the dragons and will the pact still exit then or will it disband
with what we have now there is no reason not to make a base in orr but that is only needed if they dont have a diffrent income to pay there soldiers and stuff like that

The Pact is a multinational organization, not a devouring warmachine. Pact never had any kind of territory, only some bases. They didn’t conquer Orr, they liberated it.

Its leader is the biggest goodguy in GW2, and a specialist in Orr and its history. He knows exactly that this land belongs to the humans, a race which the Sylvaries got a good relation with.

No one knows that Zhaitan knows about the cleansing ritual. I mean Kralkatorrik isn’t friends with Zhaitan, and he didn’t seem to know about the betrayal until after he went to sleep (either that or Glint hid herself as well as the other races). Plus why wouldn’t priory individuals find it interesting to talk to a scholar that may have spoken to the gods themselves, or a noble who was of high rank to learn about life in those times. Plus Vigil manpower could be saved by using the spell to free the minions instead of losing men day in and day out trying to kill them all off. It is a long shot of a possible story, and there is a good chance it would never be picked up on, but in my mind it is more likely than the Iron Legion coming in with bull dozers and plowing out the old ruins to create a new naval port.

given the time and possibley also magic power needed to cast the spell makes it very unlikely to be used in a massive scale, tho alot of the people here have allready agreed that a human goverment wont get orr but that the temples and stuff like that wont be torn down in any way and most likely will be restored, but also that none off the races will get it atleast if its done by claim and a free handover(there are diffrent ways for humans to get it, one being tradeing/buying it off the pact), there also the chance that the pact sets up a goverment there so they can get a income of gold and supply to help agienst the other dragons(if possible at the time) or to make sure that there is always a safe place for all races if needed.

Why you ask? Simple, the same reason the forgotten freed Glint. To learn more about the Elder Dragons. I understand this is a crazy thought, but in the end it IS a possibility.

my guess is that none of the normal minions is worth cleansing but if there is any eyes and/or mouths left we might get some Intel from them as zhietan minions where a hive mind in the way that he got all there knowledge but given that i doubt that there is any way that he will share hes knowledge with the minions in any way as there is a way to cleans them from corruption, my guess is that hes smart enough to not share any importent intle that might hurt any elder dragons as that would have been a potential threat to himself unless he released that info just before he died.

Thus unless the forgotten come out and claim it, which is unlikely seeing as they seem to have lost all interest in Tyria in general, no one has claim to the land. Humans and the gods were the first people to lay any claim on it after the time of the forgotten.

On a side note, when you think about it, is it really that viable for a world to have so many sapient races? I have to believe that the humans may not be the only race that are not native to Tyria. No race has had their history delved into as far as humanity has, so there is no way to tell if any of them or native or not. Just because we assume they are doesn’t make it the truth.

there are two flaws in your statment about zergs being punish by removing the aoe limit tho i would argue that they would be rewared for being able to have a few guardians running around clicking “stand your ground” then or any other abilty that gives aoe ret as that will make zergs unkillable;) but thats only a matter of opionion vs opinion.

keys has a liqued value in gold that is depending on the gold to gem ratio and in my oppinion it should be like that and if the gold price raises then be it as that is the value of the item in gold then.

xp boosts are not useless in any way they are not as atraktive as some of the other stuff but that does not make them useless

the problem to me is that thief has the option to go full zerker in wvw envioment and still be very viable where any other class doing it will die most of the time if not always to same skill level players with some defensive traits and to me that is the biggest problem,
give them a big risk for haveing stealth then sure but right now stealth dont have a big risk

Sanctum sprint, southsun survival or crab toss cant go in this category because there are no teams. But keg brawl, Snowball Mayhem, Dragon Ball, Aspect Arena or other team based PvP arenas could have team queues.

sanctum sprint, southsun and crab toss can ofc go into that category to but you wont have benefits from it and the blue dot is removed from your map. as it will make it possible to join a game with a friend so you can have some friendly rivalry(its stil possible now but a nightmare to pull off)

That’s a lot of resources to dedicate to something they could just as easily let someone else do and then just set up shop all over the place to establish their claims.
Businessmen are not in the trade of investing a whole ton more than they need to.
Keep in mind administering and managing territory is an expensive and (in the case of Orr) risky venture. I find that idea very very low on the list of possibilities.

any businessman will invest huge amount of capital into something if he belives that he can make hes capital increase more there then anywhere else and thats how simple it is.
a diffrent example could be that you know that something is worth 2silver now on the tp but you belive that the same item is going to be 10+ silver soon because of something would you buy the 2 silver item?

and saying that charr will agree on letting humans get it because the humans then can remove the foefire is strange when charr have almost contained the ghosts from the foefire now so by the time orr is inhabbitable they eighter would not care about the human ghost as they are dealt with in a diffrent way or they have so little importense that they cant be used as a bargin for charr to step back

but then agien giving it to humanity in any way would set the charr invulment in question from them so it goes both ways atleast if the charr is not given anything for it.

thats why it will be sold to humanity and most likely kryta in general or keept under pact control.

Just a small thing, but weapons are just magically stuck to a magnetic mounting point or whatever when sheathed. How about adding a sheathe, holster, scabbard, or strap for when the item is not wielded? Staves could be secured by a strap across the chest. Greatswords and hammers could be secured by a back scabbard. Scepters, foci, axes, torches, war horns, and maces could be hung from a belt hook. Shields could be tied by leather straps. Daggers and swords could have a sheathe. Bows could be slung over the shoulder with the string across one’s chest (sorry archers, no mounting for you).

A second idea, building off of this one, once the animations are updated, and the objects are in place, why not make the sheathe, holster, scabbard, strap, etc. an item that can be crafted and upgraded to provide bonuses?

hammers dont need a scabbard tho it need a 2 point securing or 1 just around the head of the hammer.
and i dare you to hang a normal bow around your chest for 3-4 days and then use it and expect the same power in it, you will take off the string when not useing the bow or need to be alert for war but then you would secure it on the back to or run with the bow to deal least damage to the bow itself makeing it useless.

to me that looks like a very good comparison.

option 1 is only possible if the pact has unlimited gold to pay soldiers with and buy food/weapons/service’s with else the pact will have a army thats angry on the pact leaders + the human nations and that will lead to a war humans+pact leaders cant win.

option 2 is only possible if the pact agree on a payment other then only gold as kryta dont have the gold for it.

option 3 is possible but will break down the peace between humans and the race buying it leading to war and the pact dont want that.

option 4 is possible with the options of anyone to visit the temples and shrines and the pact then also agrees on restoring the temples and shrines with maintains to else the pact will have humans after them

i will push for option 4 or option 2 with the most likely one being option 4. with the vigil as the peace troop of the nation and each other order also getting a thing in there if they want like priory would fit a resource department and the order of whispers is a inteligence network so ofc they can fit that to in the new nation
ofc each order has the right to refuse the offer of doing it under the baner of the new nation if they want to.

And for this situation we’re gonna say it took a large part of Soviet Russia (things are being somewhat edited to make it a more equivalent comparison). A few years later, with the land still uninhabitable, a coalition of french, english, and swedish scientists are able to come up with a way to cleanse the land. They then claim the land as Frengswiland and do not give it to Russia, because Soviet Russia has now fallen apart, and is not necessarily the nation that holds any claim over it anymore. Weird comparison. Very weird, and I honestly don’t even know if it holds any relevance anymore anyways, lol.

then the question is who payed the scientists to clean the land from radioaktive material?
if that is not the current owners of the land then they actourly dont have a right to cleanse it, but now if we take any ownership off the land(makeing it a free zone) outside any contrues borders, then the once cleansing it has the right for it and in your chase its the scientists unless orders by the nations they live in and is working for them, it could also be a company doing it.

make that to our chase chenouble is orr the radioaktive material is the elder dragon and the scientists are the pact.
Ukraine is the distant reletive of ussr and the closest to it(given its within there borders currently and in therefor they own it but lets not look at that as it ruins the example as all land on earth is under some country’s jurisdiction in some way) but they would not have a claim to it in any way shape or form(if we move it outside there borders ofc and makeing it a free zone like orr is)

sword has savage leap and that is increased by swiftness to and any time its used its faster then running by a little.
balance stance grats 8 secs of switfness by default and that is increased by boon duration.
signet of rage is a elite skill and is possible to get from level 30 and up.

I wanted to craft a legendary, mainly to get the badge colored in on the character select screen. I picked the harpoon gun Rage to craft because its precursor is by far the cheapest.

After months of work — 77 Mystic Clovers, Gift of Might, Gift of Magic, Koda symbols, etc. — last night I did it!

To my surprise, there were no bells, fireworks or triumphant music. Whatever. While in the dialog to select the weapons stats, it struck me that I didn’t really care if any of my ‘toons use the legendary — its stats aren’t better than what I’ve got, no one will see me use an aquatic weapon, etc. So I sold it for 1,100 gold.

Still the “legendary” emblem was blank (!?!!?!!???). Maybe I needed to log off and back on? I read the description more closely — it’s for EQUIPPING a legendary, not crafting one.

I did not cry. Not because I’m tough, but because I felt completely empty inside. I managed to resist the urge to shutdown my account, uninstall GW2, and reformat my hard drive, although at the time all that seemed pretty appealing.

So it’s back to the drawing board. The only bright side is that I was able to buy the dagger precursor with the proceeds from the harpoon gun.

I already have a few Mystic Clovers. Only 64 more to go. :/

I see two scenarios here. Obviously there are hundreds people could pull out, but in my mind there are two very likely scenarios.

1) Kryta buys the rights to Orr. Obviously most likely not by money (at least not fully by money), but by cementing themselves in an alliance with the Pact. Giving them a debt most likely not to be paid off until ALL of the Elder Dragons are dead. In this scenario, all of Kryta’s army that is not necessary to defend their lands would be used to defend Pact interest, similarly with any human technology which could be useful in the effort. I mean if the engineers can fix the override created by Scarlet, Watchknights would be a very effective fighting force against dragons like Jormag who can control minds, much like asura golems would be.

2) No one is able to purchase the rights to take on the debt to the Pact, so the Pact clears out and the land is just up for settlement. In this scenario, it is similar to a scenario I brought up earlier where IMO the 2 biggest populations would likely be human and sylvari (of the playable races). I could see some asura krewes coming in to study the temples/cathedrals, but I just cannot see the logical reason of large amounts of charr or norn coming down. I think they might exist, but it seems likely that their populations would be much lower than the rest. I understand people like the idea of the charr having naval access to the sea, but it seems like a big stretch of resources and logistics, and we all know that the charr do not trust the use of asura gates, because they aren’t fully under their own control.

how can you loss the end room in that jp when i can only think of one way of dieing in there and then you release from there is your own foult instead of getting ressed(based on falling down in the posion room and eigter dieing of possion damage or fall damage).
as there is no way in hell you can die in the end of the puzzle without being able to get a ress or a bug happened.

power is a base damage modifier and crit damage is a sencondary modifier if i remember right and that will say that crit damage scales with power but power dont scale with crit damage. so a normal hit is not effected by crit but a crit hit is effected by power

I understand it isn’t a perfect analogy, but where you seem to think that “flippantly” handing it back to the people who have connections to it would be an issue, I personally think that “flippantly” handing it over to anyone and everyone that wants it would be more of a smack in the face of humanity than anything else. The Pact may be strong, but they rely on the resources of the nations/organizations. We know that the Pact are using Charr tanks, and also at least some manpower that used to be seraph (which at the moment we assume was allowed into the pact, rather than that they deserted their people in order to fight). The Pact has to keep friendly with those who support them, they would fall apart otherwise.

i dont know how long but after a given time anything stolen from you is not your anymore(one reason is your dead).
lets make it a little more to our situation then.
someone steals your land and submerge it/make impossible to live there, now after 250 years it becomes possible to live there agien and your great great great ants grandson wants to claim it as hes, will he get it?
we can also use the current situation we have at chernobyl who owns the land and houses there? the former residents families or none(i know the stat owns it still but what persons own it now is the question)

A few months ago, I was told a bit more general stuff via via as well regarding an upcoming patch, on which I didn’t act (nor did I want to, but that’s beside the point). But it did concern the economy, I can tell you that.

Other than that: even if they don’t provide all the patch notes, as you say, it would surprise me if they would implement anything to do with the economy at the last hour. That stuff needs testing as well. So anyone stepping up to the forge and having a go at the crossing would have found out it was disabled.

I’m not an alpha tester (or if I was I wouldn’t admit it :P) but looking over the past leaked notes, they were always (from what I recall) class balance changes.

However, it indicates what people have already suggested. There are leaks. If leaks such as this could regularly come out on Reddit, it is not hard to imagine certain economic related leaks would also be shared on a smaller scale to benefit the few closer to the leaker.

Think about it. If the leaker decide to leak economic patch notes along with already released traits/balancing notes, their small circle’s potential earning will be eroded very quickly by the massive reddit readers.

Anyway, end of the day I doubt Anet will do anything. They will not even plug the hole about these leaks related to trait/balance notes.

You ask for evidence. At the same time you cannot prove insider trading is not going on, where is your evidence? So you are going with “ignorance is a bliss?”

there is balance leaks yes there is, but unless we know how the testing servers work we cant say that they are affected by economic balances at all, as there is no need for economic changes to be tested on the testing server as that can be tested by a simulation program meaning there is none that can leak any economic changes in any way as they dont have them but they do have the balance notes and they are being leaked.

unless you can stat that is wrong then i cant agree with the logic that says that because they leak balance notes there is a leak in economic notes to.

The statement does not mean insider trading does not happen, it is just we do not have to resource or the will to prove it.

its true we cant say its not happening tho nighter can we say it is happening.

they dont need to disable anything for the tester in the mf in a test server but they can do it in a live server. i dont think it would take alot to change it so that a mf recipe is disabled and i gess it dont need testing on how it works

all they have to do is make the recipe to be 4 items that cant be found ingame in any way and problem solved now the mad moon and the crossing is still able to be mad tho its disabled to be mad at the same time as the items you need to make them is impossible to get then the item is impossible to make tho its still a recipe in the forge there for you can stat that they disabled the recipe to be used

It’s my impression that most everyone not in favor of giving all this newly reclaimed land to humanity only, is in favor of everybody sharing it because everybody helped get it. Yes, I know Kryta isn’t formally part of the Pact yet… but it is an ally of the Pact, and we see a lot of human Pact soldiers that started out in the Seraph – and were presumably given official sanction to join the Pact rather than just going AWOL. Kryta isn’t a Pact member, but it is an ally, and humans fought as part of the retaking of Orr. It’s not a matter of asking for a handout. Humans participated, it’s not unreasonable for them to expect the land to return to humanity.

The flipside is that when human forces assist in pushing Jormag north, or in recovering the old asura homelands in the Depths, they step aside and let their allies reoccupy their old lands in turn.

your ww2 coment is kinda wrong as france still existed at the given time it got libriated same with most of the other lands that got libriated, and the reason france and alot of the other lands did go to uk and us is because of how they are build, plus they dont want the conflict with the remaining french people that helped them in the war to.

there is no reason for it to be on human hands for them to go to the temples and the areas where there gods came, and my gess is that each race will recpect the fact that there are human temples and stuff that they should not mess with tho that does not mean they cant not get the land and let humans use the temples.

its not extreme to go by the data there is out there given by anet.
and 2 things make it so that i would belive that magic find items would be impossible to make for some time(atleast the items in quetion).

first is the fact that they said that they would remove mf and take all mf items of the tp.
that will make people but the items if they want the skin and also pay alot more then they wanted to if the change did not happen.
seconed is based on speculations of the items out from the statment that some high level items will still be tradeble where the mad moon and the crossing easy could be speculated to be one of thoes given that they come from hallowen and unless they will take the skins out they need to make them tradeble and as i understand the programing makeing some tradeble and some not is impossible.
