Why is this adventure so much more difficult than the others?
More like, why are the others so easy to beat (scrap pit…). Some I got first try and didn’t even know the adventure before hand. It should take some serious dedication to achieve gold, that way when you finally get it you feel like you have mastered it.
I’d be with you if those weren’t needed for the mastery points. Some poeple think that stuff is SILLY and does not belong in a game like GW 2. Forcing them to do those to get the mastery points needed to advance their track is already borderline …
you do know the total amount of mastery point you can optain to the HOT lines are much higher then the amount needed to unlock ALL the HOT lines at current time right?
so even if you dont take them all you will still mange to get all the lines maxe out without a problem

1 very dumb qustion are we even sure that the raids are going to work like raids in other games where tanks are a must and healers to or will it be more a matter of countering abilities and kiteing/swapping focus of the boss all the time or how is it going to be?
meaning depending on how the raids are the so called tank could be a overextantion of what is needed and be countering your needs(just saying as im not sure what type of raid it is going to be)
so it could very well be smarter to focus on both on bunkering down and being able to deal a good deal of support/damage with the swap of the legend at least that possibility needs to be left open, if not then we are gimping our own possibility.

1. I don’t see how releasing a class a bit early for pre-orders is changing your entire game plan, in fact the entire game was released early for preorders at launch.

@ OP. there is one problem with what your trying to do as it does not take into account the evolving of a langues.

@Korsbaek- It wouldn’t matter if he gave permission or not. The action would be mine, my choice to do it. Him giving permission would be a direct act of treason, depending on circumstances, which in most cases would nullify his choice before it was made. first lets look at your goals.
a) if you want to improve your game play(i interpenetrate that as someone that want a higher amount of skill to matter) that is impossible to do yet for any game(anything that follow a patter and dont improve in any way will not require skill to bet but it will take mastering the encounter to win)
b) there is plenty of socializing in the game if your guild dont have it then that is another matter and that is none other then the people of your guild and your fault.
c) from what i have seen in the live streams so far is that they are working on stuff to improve things for guilds but they want it to be more then just the normal things for it.

How does lying to someone about what you are going to do make it the act of the nation? It would be like a close adviser talking to the president, with enemies on our shores devastating everything in their path, telling him he has a plan to save the US if only he was given the controls to everything. The president, in desperation, gives over the controls and this adviser nukes the whole country. How is this the act of the country? The only end-result that they knew of was the saving of the country, they didn’t choose to be destroyed.
the president choose the wrong adviser to listen to but it is still the choose of the president that destroys the nation not the adviser, as without the presidents choose of giving the adviser enough power so he can send the nukes then there is no nukes to be send.
and in gw2 its the kings fault for not asking what the plan involved when agreeing to it and as the kings decision to follow the advisers plan then its also the decision of the nation.
i know it might be hard to comprehend but anything the king does is the will of the nation as he is the nation(agree or not but thats how it is, and its the difference between a democracy and dictator ship(a monarch is a dictator with a fancy name)).
so to sum it up, the king agrees to let the adviser do what he can to save the nation but in the attempt he ends up destroying it but as the king has given him the permission to try save the nation, the king decided not to ask questions to the adviser first and that proved fatal but that is the mistake of the king and as the king has given acceptance to the adviser to try then it is also the kings fault, but as the king is the nation its also the nations fault.
and yes the commeners has no opinion or rights in a monarchy what so ever, so even if they dont agree with the king that is of little impotence here.

Just don’t do it. I don’t know how else to put it. I don’t know anyone who actually wants this to happen on the 18th. The forums might be a minority but I know a majority of the players who aren’t on JQ/SoR/BG/TC (heck even the gap between the top 3 and TC is massive) don’t enjoy Friday night learning that the weeks winner has already been decided. Now weeks and weeks of this is in the feature. It’s just going to ruin what little is left of WvW.

My point is that the events at the end of Edge of Destiny were extremely random.
1) The Order of Whispers would have had to know when Kralky would awake and where he would go, which means that they would have information about Glint and Kralky’s past that we are only certain that the Nightmare Court MAY have known. Faolain could have just been stirring up trouble and been randomly right, but it seems more likely that they somehow found out. Still, they would have had to determine that Kralky WOULDN’T just brand Ebonhawke and Queen Jennah which would have ruined their whole plan. A whole lot of risk there.
2. They would have had to have a part in timing the creation of the new asuran gate in Ebonhawke and the timing of the celebration to work out exactly when Kralky would awaken. This part seems actually possible to people of their caliber.
The biggest problem for me is somehow knowing that Krakly would avoid and yet attack Ebonhawke and predict his and his minions’ movements. It just doesn’t seem possible when they would not know how the dragon thinks.
that is if they planed it all but they could have been fast thinkers when they see the attack of the dragon and found the option that would most likely make jennah join in on the peace talk. and they could have had something else planned to at the celebration but as the dragon attacked they had to think fast and this is what they come up with in that short amount of time.
i know it is possible but it is also likely that they dont had anything to do with the change of heart(to be honost i dont belive they had anyhting to do with the change of heart but i cant rule out that they might have had something to do with it, and thing im agienst is the its impossible because i cant see it as logical or it would be impossible because I cant think of a way to do it.)

Anet you need to get away from linking achievement points to permanent events etc to the game,
You made the new Teq part of living story, and gave it its own achievement points rewards for the event, now that people have them, the event is dead, there is no incentive to go there at all, the drops are bad, the event is poorly thought out, and no matter how much you talk it up about increasing drops its still not worth it,
You have also linked the new TA path to achievement points, again once people get these points they will stop doing this path, because lets face it when you get the full AP available this path is to long, you could run the 2 other paths of TA/HotW/CoF in the same time it takes to get past this one, and probably walk away with the same rewards,
I know that from the day the game was released you have never gotten the rewards Vs time invested right, you always fall back on this game destroying RnG system,
If you want to make AP’s available for new things in the game via LS that’s fine, as most LS is tempory, but do not link them to permanent addon’s to the game, as they end up being game destroying.

a lot of the armor, in fact, almost all of the armor in gw2 is extremely bland, and considering how many people play the game, sooo many look the same, the only real way to stand out is to use armor that looks goofy, because nobody wants to wear the goofy armor.
maybe bring in some more options, be them more choices for dungeons, dragon armors (from downing dragons, or world bosses) more TP skins, bring in some TP skins from other games maybe, like Aion, Aion has extremely intricate and flashy armor, that i’m sure a lot of people (including me) would love to see in game. i’m just tired of looking EXACTLY like everybody else. not enough options.

I’m still surprised that this hasn’t been fixed. These runes are a crutch for many engineers and I hope they fix it soon.
I think alot of people are unaware of how much confusion an engy can stack without the runes. I can stack 12 stacks of confusion easy on my engy without them. I’ll gladly trade an icd on the 6/6 for a duration fix on the runes. My interrupts are on long cooldowns, and I choose to save them for defensive reasons. I think people will whine even more when I have 100% confusion duration. So please, yes, put an icd on the 6/6 and fix the duration bonus.
with a internal cool down your confusion will not last lon agienst cleanses and then 100% bonus duration wont help anything. but now that they can insta reaply them with a new stun then the cleaninsing dont work

The reason most videos look the same is because there is only a finite number of situations that can occur. We can’t upload footage of intense fights vs guild groups when they don’t happen. There will always be upleveled’s in a zerg, but it’s hardly the bulk of the group, and even if it is… with a massive numbers difference upleveled or not it’s going to hurt, CC doesn’t care what level you are. Regardless, there are far less aggressive/whiney ways to say such things, or just not say it at all – no one forces you to watch after all.
The majority of fights we engage in are slim/no chance of winning, that’s what we enjoy, because I agree – there is nothing to lose, it’s a game.
I can respect that. Make the most of what you’re given… It is a game and when you can’t find 10-20v10-20 because that is what the guilds here usually run with occasionally more it get kinda boring and isn’t a fun game for many. Anise dont need to be a OoW agent when there exist something called forseigth and prediction your enemy/friend. lets say that the OoW has a very good ide of what makes Jonnah work and why she does things. same with Anise and the other people that has any word in stuff like that(for manipulation that infomation is to so degree a must atleast if it needs to be done from the shadows)
predicting what the dragon might do is impossible given OoW has no info what so ever about them at the time and we still dont(when looking at why they do as they do), but with the information they have at hand they could manipulate it so that jonnah gets to where she would likely do what they what her to do.
doing stuff like that is kinda easy and if you want a real world example i hve one tho its on a lot smaller degree: look at any chain of shops, the way they have placed there things in the store is formed so that you buy the most from them.(and you can agree or disagree but it is a given fact that they use psycolegy to determen where things should be placed, and its also a manipulation of the consumer)

WSR generally have reasonable numbers, and Vabbi can get them going too if given the chance. As far as Vabbi is concerned there is often nothing that can be done against the size of group FoW runs around in, we (guild at least) try but there are limits to what can be defended/fought (especially when we rarely get chance to upgrade).
Can’t speak for anyone else but most the time it feels like the second red objectives start appearing on the map WSR/FoW forget about each other and just go straight for it, like “woo free stuff”. People want their Wxp so will go for the path of least resistance, to be expected.
I still have fun trying vast majority the time, but it shouldn’t be surprising that you aren’t getting too much resistance in general as not everyone is a gluten for punishment. As for hoping for growing population, the effect that this type of gameplay has will cause the opposite effect
Propoganda it may be, but pay more attention to WSR and you’ll likely find less empty/defenseless objectives ;D Especially as Vabbi will build momentum when allowed to hold objective for more than 10minutes :P

Yeah it’s been discussed but this needs to happen. This game is all about the aesthetic grind anyway. Races offer no advantage over any of the others beyond some look better in armor and have (arguably) better animations. It has 0 impact on gameplay to allow race change.

that is if the OoW dont have information we dont have to us and that is very likely and by people pushing her to the top of a keep is most likely not the safes place when the attack is from the air;)
so the ide of placeing her there could also have been done by manipulation so that people would think thats the safest place.

Her change of opinion is clearly shown right in the end of the book Edge of Destiny. She had just wrangled the asura into re-building the gate network connecting Ebonhawke to Divinity’s Reach. She was giving a speech of the combined efforts of Divinity’s Reach and Ebonhawke when Kralkatorrik awoke, created the brand, and opened a door to let in a horde of branded. As she was running to safety she looked into the mind of the dragon and was terrified. In this moment, after her great illusion that drew all the branded away, she freed all of the captured charr under the notion of having to work together against these types of challenges. Unless the Order of Whispers were behind the awakening of Kralkatorrik, I’d say they were not behind her change of heart on the subject.
they most likely where not behind the awakening but they could have lead kralkatorrik down the path to ebonhawk or forseen that kralkatorrik would awaken there and make sure the queen would be in town at the point he would get close. forsight is a very importent abilety when manipulating indirectly and over time.

TP still gives 10 times more than any other reward.
And all players are paying for those few that likes this form of free pvp.
And you have no one to blame but yourself and the playerbase.
If everyone worked the TP profit would be minimal. But people who play the TP play on players who lack foresight, patience and more than likely risk averse.
And that’s not a bad thing.
Since they nerfed ANY other way to make money during time i can blame devs.

the easyest way to deal with orr and put op a puppet goverment is not giveing it to humans or anything else it would proberly be to set the most charimatic person they can find and control, place him on some kind of president seat and just do all the things from the shadows but i gess OoW’s days in the shadows is numbered unless they make a fake disbanding but that will still make it take a long time before they are able to completely roam in the underworld agien

It’s definitely not geared towards the casual gamer.
It is and is easily tested. I have played for over a year. What do I have that is unobtainable by a fresh 80? Other then a couple backpack skins from available content everything including Legendaries are available to be purchased via gem>gold conversion. I remember logging into WoW for the first time and seeing some high level raiders and thinking that will be me some day when i get good enough. Guild Wars 2 is missing that element and it really is a shame.
inb4 some lame argument about ascended gear not being purchasable by cash
anet is proberly target the groupes that will make it so they earn most money in the long run and still keep a good rep in the gaming world.
and in WoW there is nothing hard content(atleast not that i know off anyway but stopped not long after pandorias release and never saw that raid content but from what i hear its easyer then the last) its all about planning and theorcrafting the best build for yourself plus communication and planning to counter boss mechanins as they can be for seen each time;) what i saw in wow when new content come out where Here is a new boss to learn and counter. and it is pretty easy to do when you get the hang of it(also works in wvw here but its a hell lot harder as its living people your agienst)

Large-Scale Battles – Probably one of the biggest complaints I have are these battles. There are so many players and so much going on, you can’t see what is really happening, the lag is TERRIBLE, you take damage or die and don’t know how or why, sometimes you can’t even rez players because there is too much going on or you keep getting hit or knocked down (and don’t know why). It really just looks like one big indiscernible mess. I honestly don’t know the best solution for these but as they are now, I find them annoying and just not as fun as the rest of the game. I especially find the newest battle with Teq to be a waste of time. That one is probably the worst one to participate in and just isn’t fun.

there are aoes that have huge damage learn to know them and stay away from them
if your getting knocked around then eighter use stabilety or move out of the way.
if your talking pve the best fight out there is eighter kill the risen prist of grenth or teq. rest is just mindless zerging with a give me more loots now mentalety in my opinion and cant wait for the other dragons to be redone so they are harder and more fun.
but fun is a matter of opinion(as you can see as my fun is totally diffrent then yours) so eighter come with ways to improve it or keep it to yourself

There are several different races living in Tyria with their own lore and background, It’s all very intresting but why not go one step further with it.
Make all of them into a faction system that you as a player can help them to raise your faction toward that specific race you helped, better standing you have more unique items you can buy from a specific faction trader.
With this system people will spread out a lot more to do events to save a Quagan village or a Char outpost.
Sure this can be called a grind but the thing is games are a grind in It’s rawest foundation to begin with so why not make a faction system.
help saveing all the races from the dragons would not raise our rep to max for each race servel times over?
then lets go to the war that it fought in the mist where apperntly someone or something is trying to break in and kill us all where you help should that not do the job?
what about helping each race in some way trough the dungeons with there internal problems would that not gain you a lot of rep in that race?
fighting off scarlet, molten allaince, sky pirates and so forth that treatens each race also must mean something then.
by now if we are not heros of our nations in some way there is something wrong given we where in on the final assoult on zhietan plus helped at each major treat in the last year and we helped the nations top dogs with stuff in there dungoens to get them to work together agien if there is any merchant out there that would not sell me something because i have not helped him enough ill just wait into next time and let him die then save the world with the rest of the players;)

You realize that buying gems to turn into gold to then buy ascended moves that gold into the hands of other players right? It is not pay to win regardless of that point though. You are grasping for straws.
I might be missing something. Can you actually buy Ascended weapon with gold?
simple answer no.
and for the pay 2 win part can be said to be right tho its not because of the gold/gems or gems/gold trade but the boosters that increase attack/defense/regen/speed/swim speed, tho not sure they can be optained anymore tho but not sure but then agien i would not call it a pay 2 win as they work only agienst monsters(with the speed and swim speed boost as a exeption) but ascended has nothing makeing it pay 2 win tho in any way shape or form
