Guild Halls or the lack there of

the problem is the quest you clear out the Exalted area guild hall for example is far over-tuned for small groups.. It’s impossible to do with 3-4 people in the time limit they impose.

My guild did it with a group of 5 people.
The event scale with the amount of people participating.
More event pop, more foes.

Very possible, if people know how to PvE and are properly geared for this.
Train yourself in Magus Falls.

Leveling Masteries => they are account bound and level alone while doing something else. Not really content, secondary content.

- Unlocking all new items skins
- Making legendary fractal back
- Reaching fractal 100
- Guild hall
- Preparing ascended gear for Raids if you don’t have them
- Achievements

It’s irrelevant what ANet said somewhere on the net. What matters is what they say on the webpage where they sell the product. And it doesn’t say anything about it being harder on there.

The thing is that Viper also has higher direct damage, so in a cleansing foes situation Viper is still better than Sinister.

Depends if you have “on critical” effects in your build.
It’s usual to have bleed stack on critical hit that increase the whole damage output.
Their short duration make condition cleanse less effective.
And as we’ve seen in the raw data, not only do they occur more frequently, they deal more damages

But is sinister better than berserker/marauder against enemies that cleanse conditions/need to be bursted down?

It depends of your build ability to deal a massive amount of conditions in a short time range or if it rely on long duration condition applied frequently. A pyro guardian is very different from a scepter necromancer.

Also, you’re supposed to adapt to the foes you fight too. As there are (few) foes with cleansing, there are also foes who can dodge (smokescale, flying wyvern). But conditions still deal damages during their dodging.

There are people who will struggle against some foes, others don’t. As long as it’s not the same people everytime, it’s okay.

People would use their mount everywhere just to show how a big mount they (big mount, tiny d… ?)
The worst is that it take the focus away from the character to the mount (because they’re necessarily bigger).
I want to play my character, not a mount with a character on it.

Also, what would happen when attacked? A whole dolyak vanishing into thin air? They stay near you and you must prevent them to be killed by foes?

Waypoints are better and faster!

@OP: Your wonderful facts fall when you consider:
- Condition duration focus make fights longer. A longer fight means that you’ll have to tank more damages from your opponents. Also, the next wave can spawn before you killed the previous one.
- Cleanse cancel Condition duration. So all your extra damage vanish.

These two reasons explain why Viper > Sinister against non-cleansing foes.

Best map completion class.

Necromancer! Spectral Walk allow you to retry difficult jumping puzzle step.
Mesmer with portal grant nearly the same safety and let friend come with you.

Central Tyria content:
Go berserk, anything will go smoothly.
Try to get one with easy access to +25% speed passive or Swiftness uptime.

If you can’t bring 3 players for a guild mission, you have an issue, not the guild mission…
We did this one without having to fight… We claim the camp, no oponent player came.

I understand the need for this gate – I do not understand why they “lied” and said that their raids will have no gates.

They do not lied.
Raids “dungeon” without jumping shroom, gliding and updrafts would be flat and miss a lot of fun and mechanism richness.
Just imagine your guild mates and you gliding over lava and hot air updrafts chasing a wyvern!

Am I the only one who kill them first because they’re easy to put down and a threat you should not underestimate in long term fight?

There is a special place west of Tarir. After some jump shrooms, there is a ley line gliding path leading to a cave with an Hero Challenge.
The entrance of the cave have five smokescales.
Take care, three are veterans (and two are very close so it’s better if you can deal with two veterans smokescales together).

Got mine on a basic smokescale there.

The NPC have the scribe job, you give him mats for an item you want.
Each item you make him build increase its xp.

<ironic> Great idea! I really want to have 750 remaining points at the end of Heart of Thorns, so I can unlock the three next elite spec without playing at all…

Central Tyria is worth 80% of Elite Spec now.
With ONLY FIVE Magus Falls challenges you fill the remaining.
There are a dozen of soloable challenge in HoT.

You want to solo, it’s already possible. Move your “behind part” and stop whining!

After a killing spree against smokescales – kitten pristine claw – I now know how to fight two veterans smokescales at the same time.

I bring a friend for a while, he make many mistakes while fighting them, saying they’re too strong.
I explained him that it’s the smoke field that allow smokescales to dodge every hit.
After learning to dodge their frenzy and go away from the smokefield before using hundred blades, he find them no as a threat than before.

Improve yourself, learn foes skills, bring friends.
Play the game instead of complain about it.

People trying to get everything instantly is not something intended to be cheap.
Guild mates are supposed to work together, not lazily throw gold in TP.

My own guild put quality over quantity. We’re few but motivated.
We don’t buy things and every materials needed is gathered and stack. We unlock things at a regular pace.

Greatsword being slow is not an issue, it’s like a Hammer (slow with control).
I find it handy for many threats of Magus Falls.

Arena.net already struggle at providing content for the five existing races.

Sylvaris have the best. Humans inherit from GW1 and benefits the huge amount of players sticking to them. Asuras, Charrs, and Norns needs some love.
We can hope for balance through further content, but we’re only at the beginning of HoT and we could wait 2/3 years before going onto an other dragon.

What about Charr/Human negociations?

What about Norns/Svanirs cohabitation?

After everything that happened in Caudecus’ Manor, did he get in trouble?

What evolutions for Inquest/Flame Legion/Separatists/Svanirs ?
We see them but do not get any insight on their leaders and plans.

How is evolving Human/Centaur war ?

And thousands of others questions !

I agree most can be solo’d but there are several that can’t and when you make your way to one like up in the canopy and its a champion with vets and there is hardly anyone else in the map or if there is they are just unwilling to help its frustrating as hell.

Ask friends, join a guild… If you can’t find 2 people to help you, it’s not Arena.net fault.

I’m totally with you on this. I hate those pocket dinosaurs. You can’t hardly outrun them, either. They seem to be everywhere in Auric Basin.

1) Learn to dodge when they attack
2) Avoid them
3) Kill them

You’re not supposed to outrun them or tank them.
It’s what make them a threat. They’re not decorations.

Sound more like 6 months for the FIRST upgrade in our case.
I mean, don’t you think that’s ridiculous?
We paid to have a Guild Hall, not a useless map with nothing to do on it.

Be happy, you just earn years of things to do then
Farm gold if you want, or gather mats…
It’ll stack every day until you can unlock it…

My second biggest concern was that I forget to repair en enter with full yellow armor. Each death (from mistakes or bugs) takes a bit of stats from me xD

Honestly, it was stupid to have loot drop as bags in wvw in the first place, if the bags were just going to warp to your feet. What’s the point of having a world-lootable device if there’s no reason to walk over to a corpse and loot it? The whole idea of teleporting loot bags was always really dumb.

Because your bags can be full.

But changing it to have an item “bag” that can stack by 250 could solve it.

That is an interesting theory.
It’s not that the Forgotten mimic-ed the Mursaats with the Exalted and Tarir, but the Mursaats that mimic the Forgotten.

And Staff Marks traited in zerg generate a lot of life force too.

For Greatsword, instead of increasing AA LF generation, maybe put one also on Nightfall. (1% per pulse per target). The whirling spell effect fit it.

Maybe keep it like that and add an effect for allies regeneration.
The main complaint is that regeneration/direct heal do not work while in shroud.
With Reaper meant to go melee, it could ease both aspect.

Tarir : Golden city encased in the ground (hence the name Auric Basin).

Mursaat City found by Saul d’Alessio : Towers reaching the skies.
Never was it said to be made of gold. The only gold is found on the Mursaats themselves. Their forts were black/reddish back in GW1.
And “to walk down the streets” can means “to follow the streets”, not that the city is in a vale. Mursaats are able to shift into an other realm where they put their cities, why bothering to hide them in vale if they’re already unreachable?
