Press B, and click the ‘Enter the Edge of Mist’ button.
Look for a commander tag ,and head for them.
Bring back the queensdale champ train
(eh, I know that wont happen)
Try to get into a decent Edge of Mist map, at least you will have plenty of people to get xp with.
Just turn off show emotes in the chat pane. Seriously.
What an incredibly shortsighted and ridiculous response. Emotes are a part of the game, and even NPCs use them. Having to turn them off because some people spam a million a second is NOT a viable option, and should not be suggested.
Short sighted and ridiculous? You’re kittened off by emotes and want a game mechanic introduced while the devs are working on the expansion when all you have to do is uncheck one box in the chat window to completely shut down seeing the activity that has you kittened off. Simply turn off emotes until the player is gone then turn it back on. I fail to share your outrage.
I don’t think people should be forced to turn off their emotes just because some people want to spam an emote over and over so everything else on the chat is instantly removed from the screen.
(By the title I mean, if in the future it becomes common place to be required to swap to different stat sets depending on what encounter you’re doing in order to successfully complete them.)
Can we get “merged gear”, or something like that. Through crafting, mystic forge, or whatever.
Merged gear = Exotic tier gear that can be switched between 2-3 different stat sets.
Example: You can create a set of exotic armor that can be switched between berserker’s and soldier’s. Similar to legendary, but you only have 2-3 options, and it has exotic stats.
The reason is, I’m sure I’m not the only one who doesn’t want to carry around a bunch of different armor and trinket pieces, constantly switching between them, filling up bank and bag space in the process.
“C:\Program Files (x86)\Guild Wars 2\Gw2.exe” -assetsrv 93.188.135.37:80
^ try Running that, except the part in quotes will be where ever your Gw2.exe is located.
Get this sword at level 20
Kind of put this together on the fly, hit 80 on this thief today.
It’s unfortunate the Queensdale train no longer exist. T_T
Like the above post said, if you’re able to find a good zerg in EoTM, that might be up your alley.
Did you register a name and address to the card?
I hear many of them wont for for online transactions until you do this.
It’s unfortunate I didn’t have my halo on.
Pays to have a following I guess.
Just noticed your name, lol.
actually it would be clever from anet to approach with Sodapoppin and invite him to the HoT beta like they did it with Docgotgame. Sodapoppin is really popular and have on primetime around 16k viewers.
I don’t think that would be such a great idea, he doesn’t know much about the game, or maybe it would. /shrug.
And he already has a skewed view of the game, due to people mailing him tons of stuff. At level 15 or so he had 450+g, 100ectos, a few exotics, and various other things.
so beginners are not good for the game? he would get knowledge about the game pretty fast…especially cause he is really skilled player (just look at his old WoW arena gameplays)
I edited my above post before seeing this.
It’s not that I don’t think beginners aren’t good for the game, just saying that it’s possible that he wouldn’t give HoT a fair chance since he doesn’t know much about Gw2 in general, combined with the fact that he is getting a ton of stuff handed to him, he may not be as motivated to do some things.
I changed my opinion though, the above explanation is just why I originally had doubts.

Edit: On second thought, the publicity would probably triumph over all of that, so may be a good idea. I dunno :d

Only one day ? :| They should add an out a game gem store if it’s possible.
I think the majority of people getting these wings know full well a large number of other people will also be getting them.
On that note:
If I could, I would give this thread 100 +1’s.
Because they don’t exist in this universe maybe?
Most of the hair styles exist because it has to do with the races in game cultures. I don’t see why people want everything in the real world pushed into the game world event though it doesn’t exist there.
Some have mentioned this already but..
1. forms of this hair already exist in game, the options are just fairly limited.
2. I don’t see why they wouldn’t exist in the Gw2 universe, if some of the player characters are Elonian descendants.
/shrug, that’s why I put it in quotes, knew someone would probably bring that up, lol.
Human females don’t have access to dreadlocks, orhair of that type from what I see.
I see there are a couple that exist for male humans and other races, but there are virtually none for human females.
Not sure how many know this, but I just found out the hard way.
I was trying to set up a Magic Find fire for peeps, but was unable to since I already had a 50% Magic Find boost, and was forced to select either Karma or XP.
Already in the comment section of that article do people think it’s a bad idea.
Can anyone enlighten me on why Nexon supposedly sucks?
Well, for one, if Nexon had it their way, the first thing that would happen is gear beyond ascended would be released, and the mats needed to make this gear would need to be purchased from the gemstore.
This gear would probably provide a significant boost in strength, then they would released a couple new zones where this gear is required to survive in, etc, etc.
Well, that’s probably not exactly what they would do, but that’s an example of the type of crap they would pull.
Try to put this: “C:\Guild Wars 2\Gw2.exe” -assetsrv 93.188.135.37:80
On: right click on the shortcut -> destination
That worked for me.
Thank you, this worked for me.
Two fractal PvE dailies today? T_T
Well I’d do it mostly for min/maxing stats and dungeons. In what scenario would it be worse than exotics, by the way?
I’d advise against crafting ascended simply because it’s pointless in all zones/instances below level 80. (it’s the same or even worse than exotic)
Only reason I would craft it is if you do a lot of WvW or fractals, wanted it for the skin, or you just want to craft it just because.
But no, I don’t think they will release anything beyond ascended as far as stats go.
We may see ascended sigils and runes someday though.
I don’t like the new dallies, at least not as an open world PvE player. Previously you could casually get most of them done alongside with doing other activities. (world bosses for example), and you got a nice 5 AP to go along with it.
Now there is no longer a 5 AP option, and most PvE dailies that I’ve seen so far has one that requires you to hang out in some random zone until you get 5 events done, which could possibly be time consuming if you’re unlucky.
Huh, I don’t know if this did anything or if it was just dumb luck or coincidence, but it finally worked for me after starting Guild wars 2 using the Run command.
Cental Illinois here, same problem.
Comcast
Same here, have been unable to get one for a while.
Thanks, I just thought to check my spam folder, and that’s where they went, lol.
I accidentally made a second purchase though…
Edit: Went to CS to get a refund on the second purchase.

Hi, I recently attempted to purchase a new account for someone, and it seems the no script firefox addon didn’t like something on what I think is the Thank You page ‘gw2&id=ThankYouPage&reqID’ so I had to allow all, and watch it reload, but now it’s stuck on the loading page, and I haven’t got an email with the serial key, and what not.
Unfortunately, I currently don’t have access to online banking, so I’m not sure if the transaction went through or not.
Edit: Seems it wasn’t no script causing the problem.

Please don’t kill us.
“Oh, glowing. Shiny! I’m Shiny. Woo. Shiny shiny shiny.”
One Strike Mithril would be a cool in game name.
What people really mean when they say “expansion” is “new classes, skills, weapon types, and professions”, which we’re not really getting to any satisfying degree.
The question then becomes, are new classes, skills, weapon types, or professions (assuming you mean crafting) really that important to people’s overall enjoyment of the game? What about those veterans who couldn’t give a rat’s spit about other classes, or weapon types, or professions, because they main a specific character and are happy with how they’ve built it? And where do new classes / weapon types fit into the existing game? When you say “new class”, what do you mean? What’s fundamentally missing about the classes we have now (besides the obvious lack of a third heavy armor wearer)?
And, hypothetically speaking, once they’ve added those new things, then who’s to say that 12 months, 18 months, 24 months from now, people won’t be clamoring for even more new classes or weapons or skills, and then more beyond that, until the entire game starts becoming a bloated, convoluted mess right from character creation?
Yes, for many mmorpg players I’d say new classes and skills in a very important thing. Many people like leveling and exploring different classes, and having the chance to play a new one is extremely exciting, especially if they weren’t all that interested in the original classes. Having a variety of different classes, and play styles to choose from is a very important aspect of mmorpgs imo. New classes can also help the economy as people begin buying low level greens/blues, and rares again, and bring some new life to low level areas. As for the people that don’t care about them, they can simply choose to not play them.
People probably will ask for more, people always ask for more eventually, in short, it’s been 2 years with new new skills, classes, or weapons added, so I don’t think skill bloat will be anything to worry about if Anet finally does decide to add any of these things.

Thought it was pretty cool, so I took a pic, there was also an area where they were glowing blueish.
I would have got the Elegant Weaponsmith back if it didn’t have those huge sidings. T_T
Now, if we can get a Scarlet pull string doll backpack.
I would pick the left one.
I like it .
This thread is not about minis. :0
I know I’m always making skin suggestions, but meh, if you don’t speak(post) nothing will happen.
But I was thinking, what if a rare ‘special edition’ version of each rare(as in stat) region weapon was introduced into the game. The weapons would only be obtainable from that region, and they would be kind of a rare drop, or really rare, idk, /shrug.
Example: The special edition version of the Aureate weapons polished steel color would be replaced with a shiny gold colored metal instead, Verdant weapons would have Green sparkles coming from them, etc.
You only need to kill one for the mordrem part right? (the one you need for the shoulders)
You don’t need to kill either of them for the Mordrem part. As long as you participate in the event with the Extractor buff active, even if it fails, you’ll get a Mordrem part afterwards.
Thank you, that’s a lot more forgiving than I thought it was.
Too many people, too much coordination.
Most aren’t going to bother reigning in their aoe to avoid popping the bubbles.
You only need to kill one for the mordrem part right? (the one you need for the shoulders)
What about playing the game as intended?
I know it’s not as profitable, but this is the exact reason why modern MMO aren’t RPG anymore, most of the ppl are thinking just about how to farm money/mats/items efficiently, not about playing the game. And of course, developers aren’t trying to make RPG-friendly game anymore, because it’s waste of time due to the community.Collecting skins isn’t playing the game as intended? You need gold and mats to obtain a lot of skins in this game, if that is someone’s goal, farming is generally the way to go about it.
Having fun is playing the game as intended*
Are you having fun while farming the crap out of some bug? Answer yourself….*does not necessarily involves GW2 only.
Yes, I was rubbing my hands together with glee as I was leaving work yesterday thinking about the loot from amber, and was glad to see it wasn’t nerfed while I was at work.
I enjoy tagging groups of mobs in Cursed Shore, while I watch the line of heavy moldy bags, and mats appear on the side of my screen.
I enjoy killing mobs in FGS to see how many Powerful bloods and other t6 mats I can get in an hour.
Yes, I enjoy farming every now and then.
Edit: Ironically, I wasn’t one of the ones camping Amber, I spent must of my time defending Blue Oasis, and jetting to Amber to grab a few chest in between. I love lighting the signal fires for the air raids.

Maybe Cursed Shore or something.
This brief lowering of prices is a good thing, unless your wealth is invested in items or something.
Don’t worry, it wont be forever.
Ironically some of the ones wanting it nerfed are the ones “abusing” it the most. >_> (camping amber, not doing any events, and just running around opening chest relying on others to dig them up.)
While the ones not seeing these numbers, and don’t see a reason for a nerf , aren’t seeing them because they’re not “abusing” it.
Are we going to start getting special little perks again for purchasing gems with real money. (actually, I’m not sure if the peeps who bought gems with gold got them as well)
Like the random minis, and backpacks.
Yes, I’m a greedy little thing that wants even more for forking over cash. :o
God no. No more immersion breakers, please.
It’s possible to have “lightsabers” and not be immersion breaking, as a long as they fit the setting. :p
