If you did the LS, there will be a node in your home instance(yields 5~8 per day along with 0~2 blade shards).

Since you didn’t, it will cost you 100~125g on TP if you go that route.(alternatively, find a friend done LS and mine at his home instance)

Pretty sure OP playing it wrong(or just play tp wrong), I got my 650g buy order fill in 2 days back when highest buy offer for dusk was 800~900g, compete with highest offer just make you a sucker.

As for grinding, there are far worst Korean grinder out there, even some Chinese ones can drive you insane despite having build-in bot features in game.

I personally dislike the idea of dps meter, but seeing other’s damage I find quite reasonable.(Not sure why so many people trying to mix up the two)

But yes, it should be an option, else it can turn into a nightmare in WvW.

I suggest you don’t wait, all characters made before 15th will have their traits unlock.

Since we don’t know what Anet will make us do to unlock some of the essential traits, it’s better safe than sorry to just make the character now, and you can decide to play later.

I think what they trying to say is we don’t know what kind of unid dye Anet is going to give us, and it is possible they give us the account bound version from pvp just to prevent people profiting from the update.

Even if the dye is tradable, it will still cause a huge influx to the supply, thus driving down the price, until its rarity from drop start to kick in.

btw, they are right about you being too late, bought the “real cheap dyes” while they were 1.5~2.5s, 10~15s is not cheap at all. :P

Just saying, some pre-events scale extremely bad and are far better done by a few than zerg.

In fact, some PvE commanders specifically ask the zerg to wait and don’t come to help, and get mad if someone actually show up, as that make the pre much longer or harder to complete.

OP, not sure how long you have been in this game, but people only start farming these bosses because Anet gave them guarantee rare drops.

Before that, nobody even bother to do these bosses aside from the 3 dragons(because back then, people are still delusional about dragons have a higher chance to drop precursors).

imho, it’s better to have 80s farm these bosses, then left them unattempted and be newbie killers.

Go to Queensdale(human starting zone), unlock waypoints there, then join the champ train.

Alternatively, depend on which server you on, WvW can be a good place to level. (Not right now, since there is a tournament going on, and you will end up being food to the 80s.)

Actually, OP you need to define what you mean by “exploiting”, clearly pushed lupi against the wall and baited the Alphard into the corner.
These are common tactics that still require some degree of awareness, but it makes encounter much easier, and some consider it as “exploiting” of stupid AI.

But if you are cool with stacking in general, then yes, that run is pretty legit.

What do people think about Radiant Retaliation?

Power has 916 base attribute. Is the retaliation scale going to base 0 Condition Damage as if it was 916? If it’s not it seems kinda lame.

I was wondering about the same thing, maybe condition damage will have a better scaling, like 0.15 or even 0.225, compare to 0.075 for power.(It’s still trash, guardian has little to no reason to build up condition damage since burn is the only condition we got, for most build at least.)

Only thing noticeable is the vigor nerf, everything else kinda just meh.

1. I thought we already know this won’t work due to condition cap, during tri-wurm fight, there are husks basically fits what you describe, and they are more of annoying to the zerkers than making condi build look good.

2. Not necessary bad idea, but you have to take into account the current format:
Bleed and Vigor, if someone with bleed on its AA, then its target can never have vigor.
Burn and Aegis, do I need to explain why burn counter aegis is stupid.
Swiftness and immobilized, which pretty much make immobilization a joke if swiftness counters it.
Stability and Fear, stability are immune to fear, the suggestion will make fear remove stability.

So I was reading the new trait system, and something just struck me right away when I get to the trait point/tier section.

We now get 14 pts instead of 70, so it’s easier to redistribute points? Sure, this seems no different to a character already reach 80, but what happen to characters not yet 80?

For instance. I have no problem accepting a 34+ player in my ac run, since their stats are at the appropriate level. But after the patch, I will be really hesitate to take them over a downscale 80, since they will be far inferior than now.

Let’s say at lv36, currently you get 26pts, ignore traits selected, that is ~520(26 x10 x2) raw stat, under the new system, you get 2pts, which is only ~200(2×50×2) raw stat. No matter how I see it, it is a huge nerf for people doing content at their appropriate level.

So my question is, will anet adjust low level content accordingly, or just another “deal with it” issue?

Technically none of the npcs should know it’s a dragon(unless scarlet left some hints somewhere), all they can see is a beam shooting out of a giant drill, only players know it’s mordy cause we see where the beam actually lead to at the end.

After defeat 3 knights and gone through portal, my character is floating mid-air 2 inches above ground, refusing to land, and constantly screaming AHHHHHHHHH!!!!!

Only after the hologram boss hit me I was lucky enough to break out of the loop, and I know I am not alone on this bug, since I see at least 2 other players floating next to me at spawn point.

Meh, after running one post patch, here are the problems I see:

1) A lot of people didn’t catch the memo, still melee without the buff and simply doing no damage.

2) There are always noobs in the event, before it’s not very noticeable cause of the size of zerg. After patch, when I see 3~8 down after EACH AOE in a 25~50 man group, just can’t help but facepalm.

3) Unlike blue/red, green has no near wp, lots dead players in green end up move to blue, leaving green shorthanded after a while.

I guess the idea of those achievements are made players being more aware rather than AA to victory, except it goes horribly wrong because the event credits everyone on the platform.

Can’t really blame people for doing it the easy way, those achievements are actually quite hard when doing it legit(especially In Tune). I have to do it in a similar fashion, just run around rez people and not hit the boss until the final phase(when everyone get white buff).

Ele has the easiest time on this one.

focus equip, slot mist form, attune to earth
After cinematic
Mist form→walk next to Scarlet→focus 5→stomp (no dodge needed)

I heard thief can do similar with stealth, but haven’t tried yet.

Maybe just the seizure of the fight got to me, but I swear I see heal-o-tron and Kiel were running around rez people during the fight.

What happened to them after the fight? I am sure they would love to confirm Scarlet's dead just as much as DE 2.0(minus Taimi, she still ask me if I have seen Scarlet after I stomp her 3+ times)

You just need ~30 min per day for ~7 days if you follow a guide.

I brainfarted and deleted some heirlooms the first day of patch, still manage to get my halo within 6 days and some more to spare.(only got 1200 once as well)

Umm actually I love the ranger and use him as my farmer if and whenever I feel like farming. Heck I just soloed 2 champs (quaggin/broodmother) in Frostgorge with him while roaming since no one is there and everyone is in LA.

Interesting, then I assume you didn’t give your own idea much thought, because the way I see:

Thief: borderline broken, almost equivalent to guarantee loot bag per kill

Ranger: higher chance/guarantee leather(that’s what skin/hide turn into), meat

Ele: higher chance for gem/dust/wood, and maybe even ores.

Engi: down right broken, it’s not even a drop bonus, since you can farm vendor trash on a different character, and give them to engi for the conversion.(so everyone will just make an engi alt)

All other “afterthought” classes: higher chance of ores/clothes<—-basically a lesser version of ele, but still better than ranger.

Fractals is a dungeon instance located in Lion’s Arch, everyone will get upscale to 80, but stat of upscale character will still be inferior compare to a real deck out 80 character.

It is possible for 3 experienced players to carry 2 non-80 newbies through difficulty level 1-9(if they are willing to). For 10+, agony resistance is require, which only come from ascend gear, which is 80 only.

Human also has bandits/pirates and internal political affair to worry about, so they are in no way better off with Zhaitan gone. Besides, if human decide to backstab char by uniting with seperatists, I am sure char will just cut a deal with flame legion and renegades.

Also note, none of the race has actually sent their troops to fight risen, orr invasion is done by the Pack.

Highest buy offer is 3680g according to spidy, and I am sure there are plenty flippers out there happy to take it off your hand.

ps. Just observation from tp(after several big purchase), the “real” value of very expensive items is actually slightly below the highest buy offer, since listing buy offer doesn’t cost anything. Keep that in mind when buying your quip.

Maybe a bit off topic, but I haven’t really see that many zerker only/ping gear since CoF farm nerf, and no [insert classes]/heavy only pop up rarely once a while(and mostly just against ranger). I do see experience only quite often, but frankly that’s not too much to ask for, nor does that reflect “stack-to-win” mentality.

I honestly think OP just exaggerating, most of ads on LFG tool just show which path people are going to take.

As for stacking, if you don’t like the easy way, there will always be a hard way, you just need your team buy into that.(or die trying and let your team carry you, since most dungeon, aside certain part, can be done by 2-4 men)

Just fyi, 35000+ tokens may seem like a lot at start, but it really only worth 20~25 flashes on the toilet(GS btw, you may get more out of it if going for one-hands), not enough to warrant anything good by any mean.

I don’t know if it’s just me doing it wrong, but right now it is extremely hard.

The frost damage ticks 333 per second, and my character only has ~18.5k hp, so basically I have to finish the whole JP in around a minute…and I normally get kill by frost a little pass the snowflake area.

Does anyone know any trick that I missing?

ps. Checked youtube, vid from last year isn’t really helping, since they average take 2~2.5 min.(take much less frost damage, and have swiftness)

While I think it’s acceptable to have something level the playing field for new comers, what OP suggest is nothing more than ridiculous, and it’s easy to see why there are so many “over reaction”:

Level 1: Gain 300% more hp while downed.
Ok…300% is a bit over-the-top, I will give a maybe if it’s 50%~100% depend on how many WvW points required.

Level 2: All down state skill cooldowns are reduced by 70%.
Some classes have very strong down skills(guardian aoe heal/knockback, ele vapor form, etc.), reduce cd by 20% is too strong, by 70%? lol

Level 3: You transfer 1 condition to your attackers once per second.
Here is where I draw the line where OP has no idea what he’s talking, imagine you are defending with ac, some morons decide to suicide into your aoe and all their bleed suddenly transfer all on you…nope, just not going to happen.

Level 4: Once downed you will be rendered invulnerable for 2 seconds.
This combine with level 2 and level 3 are just dreadful, besides, I thought PvE folks hate invulnerable, why bring this to WvW?

Level 5: Instant rally once downed on a 180 second cooldown. Once rallied you will recieve: protection, regeneration, retaliation and swiftness.
As if a free rez every 3 min is not powerful enough already, OP wants 3 of best escape boons attach onto it….and retaliation.

Final point, traits this powerful (AND broken) will require tons WvW points(~200 pt minimum), something no newcomer ever be able to afford. And if Anet make them easy enough to access by noobs, vets will have no doubt pick them up faster, making this so-call solution a nightmare to truly newcomers(now they not only have a harder time survive due to inexperience, but also have no chance of getting kills without a zerg).

Are you sure you are direct toward low tier servers?

I have seen plenty of 5~6 man ninja towers, but it may not do the server any good, as the server with bigger zerg will get kitten and swing full force on the ninja server, and give the other server tons breathing room.

You forget to mention the new fractals(I believe 3 was promised) are also suppose to come this year.

Frankly, I am surprise Anet decide to make something new for Halloween instead of just reuse old content from last year, that just means they have to stuff everything into Nov patch, unless devs want to work through Christmas(although precursor crafting can be a nice Christmas gift).

well, there is an achievement in SAB requires you to dig 100 times, guess that’s sort of “grindy”.(Also, some may grind coins in prepare for tribulation mode.)

With that said, boss week has achievements like fetch 10 of x in 3 different maps, with no hint whatsoever, not exactly welcome content in my book.

  • Weird teleportation: This one’s on me. Basically what’s happening here is that the teleportation is only supposed to kick in if you accidentally get yourself inside the Holopirate Generator’s collision (via a teleport skill etc). The teleport is a failsafe to prevent you from getting stuck. Unfortunately, the collision on these generators gets smaller once you destroy them, so the area you’re teleported from is now accessible to just running into it. I have a fix for this queued up for the next non-hotfix build. My apologies to those running into this!

Lol, this one got me so many times while kiting clockheart/holo into each other, so glad to hear this is going to be fixed.

Simple, watch youtube vid once, know what to expect, don’t make too many mistakes(when I made one, just blame it on lag :P), and I pretty much blend right in.

“Experienced only” doesn’t mean “finish the run under x min” but “know what you doing”.

I don’t get why is all that hate on “experienced only” party, those are not the “you get kick for one mistake” elitist party some of you think they are. In fact, most my first time runs are with these kind of parties, all they expect is not too many wipes.(and they generally have no problem if someone afk for a few min, as long as he/she notify the team beforehand.)

Running with “just for fun” crews normally end up getting wipe after wipe, or a lot of times people just gave up at certain boss/room.(some of these people will most likely come on forum and complain how hard the dungeon was, or never bother to try again)

I find this title funny, this new path is actually anti-elitist, simply because majority of the path is unskippable, and have tons awkward mechanics to make zerker less efficient.

There is no “if you can’t run pass a room full of stun/knockdown/pull/cripple/root mobs, you are a noob” or “no zerker? gtfo”, people in a kicking frenzy are simply impatient.
